Mobile call charge for landlines connection to Ger...

Using skype to make a phone call to a German landline I am charged mobile rates, which is multiple times the rate for landlines. How can I correct this problem and how do I get a refund for the overcharges?
Thank you.

Hi,
It's not possible to change a subscription, since you have purchased the wrong one, you can request a refund.

There are no subscriptions for mobiles only, so you need to purchase one covering calls to landlines and mobiles.

I think I've been charged for a landline call after starting my subscription.  Can someone please help me?  I can't get chat to work.  Being that this is a paid service (skype), you should have available customer service.

Check you usage history to make sure that the number you are being billed for is a US number.  Be aware that SMS, Shared-cost, Premium and non-regional numbers, are not covered by any subscription and will require credit.  I personally have never dialed a US number not supported by my subscription.  Make sure your subscription appears active in your account as well.  Your Skype number will be found in the Skype number section of the account.  The call subscription should be found on the right side of your main account page if active.

  • Call charges for Broadband Talk

    Hi
I wonder if anyone can help. I have an unlimited anytime plan with BT and use Broadband Talk. As I understand it, calls from Talk fall under the same tariff as the main phone line, so I am confused as to why I get charged for calls to a local number, eg, a 11 min call to a local UK number at 1pm on a weekday cost me £1.09.
According the the BT tariff plan (http://www.bt.com/pricing/current/Cust_Opts_Res_boo/2-3230_d0e91.htm) this call should be free.
I am missing something or am I being charged when I should not be?
    Thanks

    Hi.
Unfortunately you are missing something I'm afraid. BBTalk is not the same as a normal landline and is treated as a different line - they each have different calling plans too depending on where you call.
    The tariff plan you show
    http://www.bt.com/pricing/current/Cust_Opts_Res_boo/2-3230_d0e91.htm
does actually show that the call you made will cost 11 x 7.95p plus any connection charge. At the very top if the page it shows that you need to pay the anytime plan cost of £6.20 per month. (My figures include vat)

  • Phone call charge for just ringing

Hi...does Skype charge for phone calls even if the phone was not answered?...i.e. if I call somone to their telephone / mobile from skype...and if they have not answered...and I cut the call before it goes to their voicemail...is there a charge?...please advice...Thanks

I think users may be indeed charged once the call is "connected", regardless if it was actually answered by the other party or not.

  • Call Charges On Skype Connect

How do i know my charges after i have made a call , where is the call list and the charges for the calls

You need to revisit your English.
If it said .8 of a cent, that would make sense.  Because .8 of a CENT that would be 8/10ths of a single penny or 80% of a penny or .8.  However .8 CENTS, plural is 80 CENTS!
You even said, "eight tenths of a cent per minute."  You did't say, "eight tenths of a CENTS per minute" did you?
You can't call 1 PENNY, "CENTS" that is the plural of CENT indicating you are talking about more than 1 penny.  You don't say, "I only have 1 cents."  You don't say, "I only have 1 pennys."  You say I only have 1 cent, I only have 1 penny, but tomorrow I will have 2 cents.
I have a PhD, but you don't need one for simple English.
    The information is written poorly.

  • Skype Premium mobile call charges

I can't find anywhere in the details where skype says that if you subscribe to premium UK then mobile calls in the UK are also free and unlimited.
Has anyone experience of this or can answer?
    Thanks.

Unfortunately Skype Premium doesn't include mobile numbers in UK.
Please go to Skype Premium website here:
    http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/prices/premium/
    There's a link Select a country
When you click on it then it should open list of countries which you can choose and what it includes.
If you wish to call UK mobiles then you need a subscription from:
    http://www.skype.com/intl/en/prices/pay-monthly/#GB
    From Landlines and Mobiles tab
    I hope this helps

  • Been waiting since June for landline connection in...

Despite numerous contacts with BT, I am still no closer to getting a landline installed in my new build home nearly 4 months after I ordered it (having been told it would be sorted within 21 days max).  This is despite a letter of complaint and a number of confirmed engineer appointments which have resulted in me sitting in the house twiddling my thumbs for half a day only for no-one to turn up.
I keep getting billed for broadband, which would be fine if I actually had it and today I have learned that the landline number that was allocated to my account has now been given to someone else, which means I am back behind the starting line.
Every contact with BT seems to be an object lesson in total incompetence, including the fact that my issue was passed to the escalation team who closed down the call before it was resolved because the engineers (ever so reliable before that point) had confirmed an appointment (guess what, they didn't turn up again).
Please don't suggest that the developers are at fault here, there have been numerous contacts between them and BT and people up the same street have got their landlines.
What else can I possibly do to just get connected to a telephone line and get broadband.  It's not as if I can even choose a different supplier because BT have a monopoly on landline installation.

  • Call log for direct connect 8350i

I have suddenly lost all direct connect calls from call log. I have been through this site over and over and don't seem to find anyone with the same problem. I have tried all the simple solutions and some more complex: 1. I have gone throught the battery stuff 2. I have gone through both call log. Options under the call log options 3. I have installed the latest version 4.6.1 and desktop manager 4.7 4. I have master reset the radio. I have transfered all my contacts into outlook but seems outlool 2003 doest not have the dc field. Before doing a wipe out can any one let me know; either how to back up all of the information, or help me solve the problem so I can scroll throigh my call log and choose the recent dc contacts? Thanks Marroco2

    hello,
you can configure the Desktop Manager so that the DC field in your Blackberry contacts gets mapped to a field of the Outlook contact.

  • I'm being charged for my evening calls even though...

Starting back in May 2011, I moved home and had to have a new phone line installed into the new address. I told BT very clearly that I wanted the new line to be on the Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan as I was at my old address.
Ever since then, both my May and June bill have call charges for all of my Evening calls i.e. calls made after 7:00pm and before 7:00am. Strangley my weekend calls are not being charged.
Furthermore, my account does say that I am indeed on the Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan.
I have contacted BT on 2 separate occasions by phoine; the first time being when I got my May bill and the second time when I got my June bill. On both occasions I got the usual standard apology and the calls charges refunded, but the problem has not been fixed! I cannot keep calling BT every month with the same complaint seeking refunds!
So, since BT seem incapable of fixing their own billing problems, what's my next step? OFCOM?
I am serisously thinking of changing my provider.
If anyone has any advice, I would much appreciate it.
    Thanks.

  • Will my daughter be charged for using her iPod in turkey?

We are travelling to turkey tomorrow, can my daughter use her iPod touch without being charged?

There is no charge for using an iPod touch anywhere. You may be charged for WiFi connection, though, depending on the WiFi access point you wish to use. That would be completely up to whoever provides that WiFi connection.

When Skype made some changes to Premium accounts, I got an e-mail from Skype that says:
"A few changes to your Premium account
Group video calling is now free. But as a big thanks for being a Premium subscriber, we're giving you calling to countries around the world at no extra cost.
That means you'll get all the perks of Premium, plus unlimited1 calls to phones in over 60 countries/regions — all for the same rate you're paying now.
    Here’s what you'll now get…
    1. Unlimited calls to mobiles in 8 countries/regions and landlines in 63—see our full list.
    2. Up to 10 people together on a group video call.
    3. Live chat support when you need it.
    4. The same great ad-free4 Skype you’re used to."
Then why do they charge me for US mobile calls if US mobile calls are included to this list?
