Mobile Carrier changed from O2 2.2 to O2 4.0 after OS3.0 update

After updating to 3.0 I noticed in Settings > General > About, my carrier had changed from O2 2.2 to O2 4.0!
Does anybody know what the difference is? Or is it just that MMS is enabled?

BTW - both of these are 3rd gen touches.

Mobile Safari changes '#' from a link in Mail to '%'

When I press a link from Mail that contains the '#' character, Safari changes it to a '%'. This causes grief as some sites don't load as expected.

Did you set Firefox as default browser at Prefences -> Default Browser of Safari side as well?

Mauritius - mobile numbers change from 7 to 8 digi...

Mauritius numbers have been updated to 8 digits on September 1st 2013. I can no longer use Skype to call/sms Maurtius. Please, can this issue be addressed asap.

Problem in Message is when we send text to a contact, we get 2 Message for each contacts. After adding +230 to the contact number is working fine.
My issues is that, I have over 1500 contacts and embarrassing on put it one by one.
do you have any Application to add +230 to all my local contacts at once???

Clean installed from 8.1 to 10240 Windows 10, BSOD after windows updates.

Hey guys, I recently done a fresh install of windows 10 pro build 10240, I have no problems installing on my hp envy 17 laptop, I have tried a lot of solutions on the net, haven't found anything at the moment, windows 10 seems fine wifi works etc, a lot of code 43 errors in device manager, as soon as I restart my laptop when installing updates from Microsoft it will halt with the spinning circle and stay on restarting... then I will get a BSOD message stating:
Driver_power_state_failure, know I know this is a hardware issue and may be related to my NVidia card, but I'm unsure. I checked the hide option to install updates on the nvidia card and still got the problem, shuts down fine but leaves me with a black screen with power light CPU operating and the backlight keyboard still functioning. Annoyed because this is my partners mums laptop. this time just installing Windows 10, Installed intel HD 4000 driver for the lols (i have an onboard intel hd graphics card) created a restore point, Restarted, Installed nvidia, first time it was all up and working (installed v3.40 in windows 8 compatibility mode then rebooted) worked.
I think what i did next was install direct x because a game said i didn't have it installed, then after that i couldn't boot windows again so therefore had to system restore which is the only way i can get back in without reinstalling windows again, Anyone please help me? i've been up for 36 hours trying to do this and ive been around computers/repairing them for 17 years!
I don't have logs because this is my 3rd install (freshly) and cannot boot into safemode (just loops) nor can I boot it up again. AT ALL.

There should be something listed in the USB section for the monitor touch functionality. My only suggestion would be to uninstall the drivers for the monitor (again), remove the USB cable, and restart the system. See if it picks up the monitor and tries to install the drivers, then connect the USB cable and see if it tried to install the touch functionality.

Change from Business to Personal Customer

When I got my mobile a few months I asked the salesman to change me from a business plan to a personal plan. The bloke didn’t do it but now for a number of reasons I’ve sooked up and want to change from the business plan I’m on to the equivalent post-paid person plan. AND, to be put on the new billing system with the new bill!!! Any suggestions as to how to do this with the least amount of hassle. I’m under contact but that shouldn’t matter. I’m not asking to break my contract by terminating it or going on a lower plan. I want my 13 digit account number David Thodey. And online account tools for business accounts are terrible.

Listener name in the listener.ora file is getting change from GPROD to %s_

Please note that after doing the R12.1 upgrade, When i bounce the database i have noted that my database listener name in the listener.ora file is getting change from GPROD to %s_db_listener%. Again every time after changeing the listener log file i am able to start the listener.
Please advise.

Step 1- Run the autoconfig on the db tier.

My sent text messages are received, but are from my email address rather than my phone number since updating to iOS 7.

Fellow iPhone users have complained that my text messages are not longer associated with my phone number. Instead, they see my texts messages as from my email address.
The problem started after I updated to iOS 7. How can I resolve this? I would rather not continue to confuse friends/family when they receive a text message from an email address they do not recognize when it was in fact sent from my phone.

I think it's odd that the default setting is now your email rather than your phone, however... Very confusing for me and other iPhone users I know.

My Carrier Version changed from 14.0 to 13.2?

I rebooted my phone after a long day at school, and I noticed when I messed around in the settings my carrier version changed from 14.0 to 13.2, if I remembered correctly carrier versions are suppose to go up not down right. Will this effect my iphone at all or no? I'm using an iphone 4 on virgin mobile usa. Thanks and God Bless.

Yes, the message is self-explanatory. You need a carrier who supports Apple's activation policy for an iPhone.

Will I get a BRAND NEW iPhone 4 from Mobile carrier '3' Hong Kong if found to be defective on 4th day?

Bought an iPhone 4 on contract (3) few days ago and just realised there is a problem with the volume button (the '-' button can turn the volume up instead).
Does anyone know where I stand with the returns/warranty policy? I've only had it 4 days and I don't want it to be replaced with a refurb ( although they look brand new) as i've only had it for 4 days.
My friend had his replaced 7 months in, and although it came out an original box, he was told it was a refurb and only gave him the phone without the box. - I find this silly as the box and phone has a matching imei, serial
Number etc.
Would be great for someone to shine some light on what's to come ahead and if there is such policy to return an iPhone within 7 days in HK to a mobile carrier to receive a BRAND NEW one. Cheers.

It really doesn't matter. A refurb should be completely indistinguishable from a brand new phone. If it isn't, you do not have to accept it. It is generally accepted that a refurb is better than new, as it undergoes far more detailed quality control to ensure it is good.

This field specifies whether the telephone number is a mobile telephone number.
Input values
' ' : The telephone number is a fixed-line telephone
'1' : The telephone number is the standard fixed-line telephone
'2' : The telephone nubmer is a mobile telephone
'3' : The telephone number is the standard mobile telephone
Dependencies
Either the standard fixed-line telephone number or the standard mobile telephone number is also the standard telephone number (FLGDEFAULT = 'X').
In older data sets, this field may have also have the value ' ' for the standard fixed-line telephone. In this case, however, FLGDEFAULT is always 'X'.
Effects on Customizing
In Customizing, you can specify whether the SMS-compatible indicator is to be proposed for new mobile telephone numbers created in dialog by choosing General Settings -> Set countries -> Define Mobile Telephone Attributes for each country.

Client has Reported that the Weighted Average Cost (WAC) was automatically reset to Zero in a particular Period and didn’t carry over from the previous period , The initial analysis was done and it was found that there is a configuration for “Price Change in Previous Period and not in current Period” which has to be maintained for the company code
The question is whether this configuration (“Price Change in Previous Period and not in current Period”) impacts both the Standard Price and
WAC or does this impacts only Standard price
Any pointers will be helpful, Will also Award Points
