Mobile Data Disabled - 32Gb WiFi Version - 5.1.1 Update

So I just recieved and installed the OTA update for 5.1.1 on my 32Gb Wifi Z3 compact. Now I have a constant notification on the status bar advising that Mobile Data is disabled. If I click it it takes me to the WiFi Data Usage page - as this is the WiFi only version Mobile Data should not be an option and as such I get no options to control Mobile Data. Any suggestions - or Sony Software Devs if you are reading this please address this issue for the WiFi only versions of the Z3 Compact Tablet.

This issue has been addressed and reported earlier. Unfortunately I don't have any further information.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Mobile Data disabling and affecting phone settings

Hi,
Every now and again my phone will prompt that mobile data is disabled. When that happens, the display settings I have set (2mins to auto screen lock and brightness) reset to their original settings. Does anyone know what is happening or how I fix it?

Mobile Data Disabled

During the past two days, I have repeatedly gotten a message on my phone saying "You've reached the specified mobile data usage limit; If you re-enable data, you may be charged by the operator." The thing is, I have unlimited data on my plan - and under my phone's Data Usage settings, there is no mobile data limit set. Is this happening to anyone else? It's a HUGE inconvenience, because even when I select "re-enable data", it doesn't always do that and so then I just reboot my phone... only to get the message again.

I saw on another post that several people have had luck w/ doing a factory reset on the phone. This just started happening to me this morning (it's happened 3 times so far). I have the Motorola Razr Maxx and also have unlimited data as a carryover from my previous phone. I've never seen this happen and, when I called the tech support rep, his response was "i've never heard of it...you might try a factory reset."
I also saw on the same forum the other person was talking about, that some guy set his data limit usage at 35TB to turn it off and he's not had any problems since. The pain in the butt part is you have to scroll thru the numbers...which are in MB. And you can't type the amount in. Can it be more frustrating??

Mobile Data not working after 10.2.1.2941 update

I updated my BB Z 10 software to 10.2.1.2941 last night. It take a long and was stucked on Blackberry Logo for 3 hours after restart. I pressed Power button for 10 seconds and it got started after that. But now i am facing a strange problem my previously installed applications are behaving normal but when i install a new app from bb world it do not detect a mobile data while they works normal on on wi-fi. What may be the reason??? Help me guys...

Try removing your SIM card, reinsert, and power up again?
Don't turn the device off first.. leave it powered on, remove the battery , remove and reinsert the SIM. Replace battery.
Also, give me an idea of what application(s) you are seeing this the mobile data fail on?

Firefox disabled my Java version- told me to update and I cannot

After Firefox disabled my version of Java - I tried to install the
newer version - it said to uninstall my current version - and I
did but cannot load Java at all.
Says " Invalid command line argument - consult Windows SDK
for detailed command line halp.

Wifi turns off and mobile data turns by itself.

Like I said, Wifi turns off and mobile data turns on by it self. I have actually see it do this while I am using it. I am getting sick of having to back into setting to turn mobile data off and wifi back on. My phone started doing this a couple months ago and is doing it more and more frequently wasting all my mobile data. I have had the phone a little over a year. I'm not sure much can be solved in the forums but I also don't know how to contact Blackberry Support as they seem to just direct people here. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Oh wow...that's a really ancient OS. There was one more in the 10.2.1 branch after that, then the entire 10.2.2 branch, followed by 10.3.0, 10.3.1, and now 10.3.2...so you are perhaps 25, maybe 50 updates behind now? Not surprising that you are suffering from problems that have likely been cleared up since. I cannot recall specifically if the problem you are reporting was in that specific OS version...it's been way too long since I used it (I'm on 10.3.2.840 now, on all 3 of my devices). Regarding the space issue, refer:Article ID: KB36394 Unable to upgrade to BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.1 or later due to insufficient spaceHowever, given your ancient OS, it is rather likely that you will have trouble with updating, especially in regards to backup/restore of your data. It has been reported that some who jump too far ahead find that their data cannot be restored to the updated device OS. So, to prepare, I advise you the following:Use LINK to conduct a full backup to your PCManually copy the entire contents of Device Memory to your PCPurchase and use Ultimate Backup to backup your data to your media cardPrepare full manual documentation of all configurations, account credentials, added apps, etc. (in case, in the worst case scenario, you cannot restore from backup and have to manually reconfigure everything)Hopefully this advice is way more conservative than you require...but better safe than sorry. Wifi mixed with mobile data

I just bought my galaxy s4 yesterday and once i got home i connected it to my wifi and now in the status bar the wifi signal and the the mobile data icon appear together is it normal? Is it using data and not the wifi?

It's normal, becaue you still have mobile data access. Wifi has priority over Mobile Data, though, so even if both icons are showing, you should still be pulling through Wifi. I believe, when you are pulling data through Mobile, the mobile data icon will flash/colorize/animate in some way, as well. On my S3, it has up and down arrows that turn orange/green when data is coming through, but stays grey otherwise.

Ok, so my mother has decided to decorate the living room and I have recently discovered she's unplugged the Internet and it will be off for 2 weeks.
However I have been so excited for apples iOS 7 that is due to release on wedensday 18th and I was wandering if I can update using my mobile data or will I only be able to update thu wifi ? (I get unlimited Internet and my contracts capped so I'm not worried about going over my contract) ?

No. Any downloads over 50 MB, including iOS updates, MUST be done via WiFi or using your computer via iTunes. Go to a library, or Starbucks, or McDonalds, or someplace else where you can get WiFi access to download it if you're that desparate.

You need to turn the services you want to sync (calendars, contacts etc) on on both devices from settings > iCloud.

I am having the same issue even with the newer 7.1. I have a 1-100 KB data push on both my husdand's and my phone every hour on the hour (i.e. my will be at :23 of the hour and his will be at :13 of the hour and it will change). This is whether we are on a WIFI and with all apps, background refreshes, push notifications, etc turned OFF.

Z3 Compact using mobile data even when disabled.

my new z3 compact is connecting to the mobile internet every 3 hours and causing costs! Mobile data is disabled in the setting and in the quick menu. WIFI is available all the time. In the settings it shows 0MB of volume for all apps. Besides the preinstalled apps and widgets I use only some apps wich are well known and can be trusted.
Now how can I see wich app/widget is connecting? And who pays my bills?? It seems I cannot trust my device and I dont like that idea.
Any advice? The Support didnt help much - told me to reset and wait for the next bill to see if it worked...

If you can't access some live statistics from your mobile operator at least you can try this.
Go into Settings / Power / Battery Usage.
There will be a graph showing battery discharge ratio and list of all apps using power below.
When you click on the app (yes, I know it will be annoying) for some of them there will be "Mobile data sent" and "Mobile data received".
For example in my phone under "Android OS" I have -
CPU total 1 hour 1 minute
CPU main - 16 seconds
Keep active - 9m 59s
Data received - 6,34kB
Data sent - 14,14 kB
Wifi received - 484 bytes
Wifi sent - 531 bytes.
Check every single app on the list. Maybe you will find it there. I suspect Google Play Services. Someone on the forum mentioned that they ignore disabling auto update. Maybe Google messed something with disabling mobile transmission?
There is a one, very hard way to disable accessing mobile network data if you don't need that.
Head over to Settings / More / Cellular Networks / Access points name (APNs).
There will be APN for your data transfers and for MMS. Leave MMS alone but delete data APN. You will be able to configure it again manually but as long as there will be no APN for data transmission your phone will not be able to connect to your operator and cause costs.

Steps to take to resolve this issue:
1/ Turn off Wifi
2/ Ensure Mobile (cellular) data is on
3/ Turn iPhone OFF and then ON (re-boot iPhone)
4/ Without turning Wifi on, open an app that requires mobile (cellular) data.
5/ The app will now show on the Settings list with the option to enable or disable mobile (cellular) data
6/ In time all apps that require or use mobile data will be added to the list automatically.

Mobile data doesn't switch on automatically when wifi is switched off after 5.1.1 upgrade

after upfating to 5.1.1 if i disable the wifi, mobile data doesn't switch on it doesn't happen everytime but most of the time. on previous updates it was fine. Here is a video of the problem
