MOBILE DOCUMENTS offers Cloud-Boosted Push Mail - fast, easy, nice, intuitive and with a unique feature set that makes it different from any other mobile mail client and experience. Mobile Documents is the only app to do mobile documents, solving the #1 problem in mobile mail, heavy attachments. With unique patent pending remote attachmnet handling and cherry picking technologies it offers a different user experience and represents a paradigm shift in email. Please download and try it out. Enjoy!
Features
Mobile Documents is a full-fledged email client, like on your desktop. It includes two parts: (1) one part in the cloud and (2) one app. To understand, the app can be viewed as a smart remote client on the Nokia phone that securely connects to the the cloud server-side. This means that all heavy stuff remains in the cloud where the heavy-lifting is done. For you that means that Mobile Documents stays in sync with all your primary email account all the time. Emails you send with Mobile Documents will be available on your desktop or web email, just as email you delete will be deleted, read/flag status etc. Here is a list of highlighted features:
NEW - Multi-Touch Pinch Zoom
Touch Double-Tap (toggles between fit-screen and 100%), Long-Press initiates speed zoom mode, Swipe to pan + more in the toolbox
Cloud-Boosted Viewing View attachments instantly, without any downloading first (streaming used)
Cherry Picking Add attachments from emails (sent or received) and have heavy attachments sent instantly - no download - save 100% on bandwidth, time and cost
Save Roaming Cost Read the text of individual doc pages (KB) instead of downloading entire heavy attachments (MB)
PIN After providing yur password you create a four-digit PIN of your choice. Instead of typing the long password all the time, you just input the short PIN that protects your email. However, your password is never stored on your device (loss/theft of your device - either disable device PIN or change password via web interface).
Document Support Images, PDF and Office documents
Email Account Support Plug-and-play IMAP and native Microsoft Exchange (but not POP), works with Ovi, Gmail, Yahoo!, GMX and many more (but not yet with Hotmail, Live and MSN)
NEW - Notification Widget Mobile Documents integrates with the messaging framework in Symbian^3

This new BB looks great! But..when will it be available in Europe??? I live in The Netherlands an dI want to replace my current phone which is a Storm, with a version with a keyboard, so this new Tour looks exactly what I have in mind!
Thanks in advance!

  • Yosemite ate my Mobile Documents

Hi.  first post so please be gentle with me.
I have iMac and AirBook which were both running Mavericks.  i used Mobile Documents to allow me to access files across both machines.
i recently upgraded both machines to Yosemite.  Installation seems to go OK.  However the migration from Mobile Documents to Cloud Drive seems to have failed.  Mobile Documents no longer available (as expected) but they aren't available in Cloud Drive (which is where I understood they would appear after the upgrade).
Recovery from Time Machines doesn't appear to be available (or i am not accessing properly).
    Can anyone offer suggestions?
    Thx
    Dayle

    Hi,
I have similar problems after upgrading my machine from Mavericks to Yosemite. It is strange, because some programs refers to the path I used with Mavericks to the Mobile Documents AND IT WORKS (programs can read and write into the path), but I can not see the folders by using Yosemite with the Finder. I can just see the same level I can open with the Web-iCloud. I'm sure there is nothing lost, but I need access with the Finder. I activated the feature Show Hidden Files, but it wasn't the solution.
I hope you can help me to read out my folders in Mobile Documents with the Finder on the same way I could before I upgraded.
    Kindly greetings

    Hi All,
I am trying to launch SAP Mobile Documents from my trail version of SAP HANA Cloud.

  • I cannot get i cloud to push through mails on my mac?

Has any one experieced a problem in the UK with their i cloud?
My mails will not push through to my mac despite taking everything off line, rebooting from mail prefernces
Ipad also affected bu iphone still accesses mails

    Thanks for your concern.
Yes, I had found that article too.  I have repeated my actions precisely to those instructions several times and all produce the same result on the Air: "No network found".  Yet the Air can find the network in the house with no trouble.
Usually these error messages are correct and the problem then is finding how they are true.  So this was why I asked 'How can I establish that the Mac Pro has indeed set up its Wi-Fi network?'  The article provides no answer to this question.
Can anyone answer my question or assist in other ways?
    regards,

  • Can I delete the folder (Mobile Documents) on my Mac?

I just wanna the Pages document in the Cloud, not on my Mac… I wanna do the download on the iPad. Just like iTunes Match. I have the reference (doc icon to download) but the the file. For files dmg.txt and the how others? Maybe in the System Preferences uncheck Documents & Data? That's it? I just wanna use the iPad to sync Pages docs, the dmg.txt files only in the cloud to download? Is this possible?
    thanks

Sorry. When you said you "unchecked iCloud Mail," I thought you were not wanting to use it on your Mac.
To answer your original question, I don't know whether you can delete the Mobile Documents folder from your Mac. Or rather, I don't know what might happen if you do. Better have a couple of good backup copies of your boot volume before you try it. (A good idea for anything that requires "sudo" even if you have researched it thoroughly.)

  • Push Mail Not Working Properly for Windows Live Mail when Online At Windows Live Messenger

    Hello,
This is quite an old subject, but it seems to be a recurring problem across versions of Windows Live Messenger handheld client software and Blackberry Internet Service server software. For some time, I used to have no issues with Live Messenger and Push Mail from Hotmail. Now, once again, I am having a huge delay, of several hours, when logged on as “Online” to Windows Live Messenger.
What makes me believe that it is not a Windows Live limitation, by design, due to protocols and notification mechanisms in use, is the fact that I can receive both push mail and instant message notifications, immediately, as long as I am logged on to Windows Live Messenger as “Busy” or “Away”. If the protocols in place allowed notifications to only a single service at a time, I believe it should not work regardless of the status on Windows Live Messenger.
I have been using Hotmail for quite a while and most of my friends use Windows Live Messenger, so I would like to keep both working in my BlackBerry. I understand BlackBerry has a commitment to offering broad compatibility, great stability, and better integration than other solutions on the market that appeals to fancy user interfaces and forget about objectivity. Having a mobile platform that can keep both the corporate and consumer world happy is definitely a great advantage. There are several loyal users that would like to keep sharing the proficiency on a common user interface for business and personal use.
I do not often post messages to online forums, but this is an issue that has been annoying me for quite some time and I am really looking forward to a solution. Is anyone experiencing the same behavior with Windows Live Messenger lately? Is RIM looking for a solution?
    Thanks,

Ahhh...given that description, it may be WAD (Working As Designed):
KB15747Email message delivery is delayed because of an integrated Windows Live Hotmail account on the BlackBerry smartphone
As such, there would be nothing to report...

  • When I open a pdf document from my dropbox to view it, the document shows up blank, even though it is filled out. This also happened with pdf documents that have been e-mailed to me.

When I open a pdf document from my dropbox to view it, the document appears blank, even though I know the information is actually there. This also has happened with pdf documents that have been e-mailed to me, then opened to view and they are blank?? Why are they showing up blank?

When I open emails with PDFs I click on the attachment (doing this all on my iPad) it gives me the option to "open in iBooks", I accept then after that the document is sucked into my iPad but I can't do anything with the PDF after that.  Where is the actual file on my iPad? Why can't I email or send these PDFs to my cloud (Dropbox)?
It's like once they go into iBooks they're stuck forever.

  • Mobile Documents Folder Missing in 10.7.3?

I have a 13" MacBook Air and a 27" iMac that I just did the combo update to 10.7.3.  Since I have updated, I am missing the mobile documents folder.  If I upload a pages document to icloud.com on my iMac and then go to icloud.com on my MacBook Air, it show's the file, however, it's the default pages icon, and it doesn't give me the opportunity to download it.
Because of this, I thought I'd look in the "Mobile Documents" folder and see if I can access it from there.  However not that folder is missing.  I have tried many different ways to get it to show up but I've been unable to.
I'm curious if Apple realized some people were using this folder as a "Dropbox" and disabled or further hid the folder so people can't sync files back and forth.  More importantly, why doesn't icloud.com work for me as it used to?
Anyone have this happen to them?
Anyone know of any tricks to get the Mobile Documents folder to show up in 10.7.3?
    Please help!

I can add a very related problem about this folder, after Lion 10.7.3 update.
I have a Goodreader app on my iPad and I used to use ~/Mobile Documents/.../Documents folder to transfer files
    between my Mac and iPad.
After I updated my Mac to Lion 10.7.3, this method no longer works. Changes I make on my Mac's
~/Mobile Documents/.../Documents folder are no longer sent to the iCloud server and hence not pushed to my iPad. On the other hand, changes made on my iPad's Goodreader app continue to show up on the iCloud server, but they don't get pushed to my Mac.
So I confirm that this update causes problems.

  • Push mail to iPhone/iPad (iOS 5b3) Confirmed Working

After much fiddle ******* around and 15 clean installations and about 64 hours later, I can confirm that push mail DOES indeed work to the iPhone/iPad from Mac OS X Lion Server.
I still have configuration errors to resolve, but this is a down and dirty brief:
Clean install of Lion (Forget the fact Apple says it is an easy upgrade from SLS. You will shoot yourself...)
Install Server essentials and then download Server Admin Tools. (Or Server.app - depends on your preference)
Open Server.app - ensure that your hostname is correct.
    Open ServerAdmin.
Set up DNS.  (Note:  Do yourself a favor and look at the Server.app help file and follow Apple's recommendation for related DNS entries, including all the SRV recommendations)
    Ensure DNS is working properly.
Server.app Hardware, settings - turn it all on. Edit SSL first and make sure you have your self generated SSL cert selected.
Tick the enable push notifications option and hit edit.
Apply for / Download your push cert using the AppleID of the system (or yours if your don't have one for your server)
    Restart
ServerAdmin - setup OD as master.
Open WGM - set up your user accounts and enable the basic services.
Configure Mail thru ServerAdmin (not Server.app)
Edit main.cf in postfix and remove the greylisting entry
I then went down the list starting with Address Book and enabled/configured the services and tested them out using client apps on another Mac. (Skip Profile Manager)
In the Web area, be prepared to beat your head against a wall.
Make sure you follow the various recommendations in other discussions - I had a few:
    NameVirtualHost *:80
    NameVirtualHost *:443
Must be in your httpd.conf file (Or the 00000.any.conf file suggestion if you prefer. The httpd.conf is centralized and much easier.)
In your web site setup area, Any, is the easiest setting versus a specific IP address (if you are only hosting one web server or have one IP this is the only way anyway)
Edit your indv site .conf files in /private/etc/apache2/sites
I use just the host name in DNS, such as example.com
in DNS make sure you have a correct Alias such as www.example.com
Edit your indvidual site file and under ServerName example.com make an entry on a new line: ServerAlias www.example.com
I moved my custom sites to /Library/WebServer/Documents by the way.  (Strictly your preference here, but make sure your httpd.conf file states where your default directory is)
You can't change the server's default site in /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default
After all the services are configured/enabled configure/enable profile manager.
Sign the configuration profiles with your SSL cert
You can then open the Profile Manager and enable a few Profiles for you or whomever.
Just as in a few other posts, the https://server.example.com/mydevices is a blank page on iOS devices.
This is the workaround on an iPad:
On  your device go to https//server.example.com
The server's main page will open (not your custom sites with any luck. If the custom sites open, start troubleshooting)
On the Server's page, click on the Profile Manager hyperlink on the bottom right of the page.
    Then sign in when prompted
Then on the upper right of the page you should see Your Name with a menu arrow next to it.
    Click your name/arrow
Down will pop a contextual menu.
    Click Download Trust Profile
    Install on your iOS device
Then navigate to your Name in the user pane (on left)
If you had previously set up your profile (on a desktop because that iPhone screen will make your eyes bleed) click Download under the profile Section.
    Install on your device.
The usual trust this, enable this and that boxes will pop up. Just make sure you allow your server's SSL cert to be trusted.
    After all this -
    BOOM
Push mail works like a fkn champ!
I must say it's really **** fast. I have an Exchange account on my iPad as well and the mail from my Lion Server beats the Exchange mail account every time.
One caveat - I do have iOS 5b4 on my devices as a registered Apple Developer. And, the Team Profile is installed from apple. If these factors have any play in this - I don't know.  Try it and report back. I am curious to see if this works on 4.3
It is 3:12 am and I tried to cover most of the steps in setting up push mail.  I may have missed some due to my fatigue, but if I am more than willing to help anyone get their server setup.  Just be kind and a) don't spam me and b) don't email me at o'dark thirty and expect a response. I am eastern standard time in Florida (USA).
iCal and Contacts work with push and are pretty **** fast as well.
To get around the blank mydevices page problem on an iPhone, you have to generate an Enrollment configuration profile and email it to your device (which is stupid because that means you have to have email on your device - which is why you are setting up mydevices to begin with)
First, however, you must download the Trust Profile and email it to the iphone. Install.
    Then the enrollment profile
    Install.
You should be in business after this. I still have a few bugs to work out, but at least I can confirm that the pushmail works.  And well at that.
I will report more in the morning -
    Good Luck
    Scott

Followed your instructions on my iPhone running 4.3.5 and my iPad which is running iOS 5 beta 4...  IT WORKS!
    Thanks a lot!

  • The iCloud Drive folder in Library/Mobile Documents is taking up way too much space on my startup disk.

The iCloud Drive folder in Library/Mobile Documents is taking up way too much space on my startup disk
I was hoping my files would stay in the cloud and not take up a ton of space on my machine (only a 128gb SSD).  But while performing an overnight time machine backup I came back to find a "Startup Disk Full" error message.  I only have about 20gb used locally but over 200gb in iCloud Drive at the moment.
Is there a way to clear the cache so my files stay on iCloud and not hogging space on my SSD? Or a way to redirect this library to my 2nd hard drive?
I'm using a 15" mid-2012 Macbook Pro with a 1TB hard drive and I've replaced the optical drive with a 128gb SSD for my OS (which is where my library is, hence the difficulty).
    Thank you!

While puttering around after posting this I think I found my personal solution here: http://macs.about.com/od/diyguidesprojects/qt/Move-Your-Home-Folder-To-A-New-Loc ation.htm
I'm just going to move my home folder to my 2nd internal 1TB hard drive to solve my problem.
But my question remains, how can we minimize the amount of local space iCloud Drive ***** up?  I wanted to get the rumored new macbook air that might come out next year but this is a big turn off if iCloud drive is going to overwhelm the SSD in the AIr.

  • Mavericks disables push mail

Updated to osx mavericks and push mail appeared not to work, all settings were good except now my phone said fetch instead of push. Can anyone confirm? I rolled back to mountain lion and push mail was back.

Some background, as push notifications have confused various folks, including occasionally me...  iOS push notifications are tied into Exchange Server with ActiveSync, and into services that use the APNs Apple push notification service.  (There are other push notification protocols around, and various versions of OS X Server mail have confusingly also offered IMAP push notifications, and that was not what most folks expected when they read "push".)
To your question, Mavericks uses APNS for SMTP push notifications, and those are supposed to work.  If you're not getting the APNS requests on your iOS device, then check that your APNS certificates are valid on your Mavericks Server configuration, review your server logs for errors and maybe your local network firewall settings, and see if push notifications are enabled on your iOS device.
Caveat: I haven't rolled Mavericks Server 10.9 into production with iOS 7.0.3, so I have not tested these notifications yet.  You might well have found a(nother) bug.

  • Nokia N8 PUSH-MAIL Bug/Problem,need to solve urgen...

Dear Administrator,I am saurabh from india and recently i brought your New NOKIA N8,Its good one ,but when i configure my GMAIL a/c on PUSH MAIL SERVICE of my N8 and when i read my e-mail on COMPUTER or IN ANY OTHER non- mobile device and then i refresh same a/c on Push-Mail of my Nokia N8,"It Still Showing 'READ' message as 'UNREAD' " on my Nokia N8 Push mail client,so kindly help me about this issuee.
I am not using any 3rd party PUSH mail service on my Nokia N8, I just using INBUILD NOKIA E-MAIL SERVICE for my GMAIL account, this problem is occurring on Nokia's in-build Email client.
    So need to solve,
another thing i saw that when I am browsing on my N8, and sometime i got call that time the "Packet data Connection icon put on hold" its fine upto call end but its remain as it is even i finish my call i.e ON HOLD but surprisely i am able to Surf internet.

What do you see exactly, for Yahoo?  Do the emails come down fine when you hit the sync button, but they aren't pushed down immediately?  Can you time it to see how long they typically take to arrive, when you don't sync manually?
As for rediff, I'm pretty sure (like 80% confident) that it's supposed to be polled every 15 minutes on the server.  So it should take 0-15 minutes (7.5 mins average) to receive new emails.  Rediff (unlike Yahoo) isn't techically push email.  What exactly are you seeing for rediff?
    Thanks.

  • Quotas in SAP Mobile Documents on-premise?

    Hi all,
the Mobile Documents cloud version supports quotas for My Documents and Shared Documents. Does the on-premise version support this and if yes where can we find the settings (NetWeaver?)?
    Best regards
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
no, currently not. It's not possible to query the KM for folder sizes yet, maybe this is implemented in a future release.

  • Push mail accounts

Do push mail accounts use a lot less battery since it does not check the email every few minutes like fetch does? Is MobileMe and Yahoo the only email servers that offer push?

    seabreeze1982 wrote:
how long will it take the i-phone to sync up to my computer.... As in, if I delete mail on my computer, how long will my i-phone take to delete that mail? As I would like the e-mail to be synced, and all changes that I make on my computer to show up on my i-phone... Thanks
In that case what you want is imap. Don't use pop.
Even Gooogle's imap is very good at this, but if your mail server offers imap you should find it quite acceptable.
A change made on your home machine is instantly reflected at the iphone.
If using pop, there is no syncing that is reliable. Its always a compromise, with one machine set never to delete mail and the other set to always delete mail and quite often things get lost. Once you go Imap, you will never go back to pop. I know people who forward all their pop mail to a Gmail account just so they can use imap because their ISP does not support imap.

  • IPhone MobileMe account push mail

    Hi,
I'm having some trouble getting my push mail (.mac address) to work on the IPhone. I know that there have been certain issues with MobileMe and the whole push stuff... are these issues still going on?
Also deleted mails on the IPhone don't get deleted on the cloud, but I've learnt from the forum that this is a known bug.
    Any help, please?

You might get a better response if you ask in the dedicated *MobileMe on iPhone and iPod Touch > MobileMe Mail* forum, as that is where people who are using MobileMe are most likely to see posts relating to it.
