Mobile E72 hangs frequently after updating Firmwar...

I updated the Firmware version of my Nokia E72 to the latest firmware version 31.023 two weeks back, after updrading my mobile keeps on hanging frequently and have to restart almost 5-6 times a day. I bought the handset just 2 mnths back. What is the problem and how can I fix this. Please guide and help on this.

reset the device
Soft reset. Type *#7370# and the phone's lock code (Nokia's default lock code is 12345). Soft reset wipes the C drive.

Kernel panics after updating firmware

Kernel panics began at startup after updating firmware about 2 weeks ago. Went through the KP repair routines prescribed by thexlab.com. Found no problems with the hard drive, permissions, etc. Did erase and install (with Leopard OS dvd bought from best buy) after archiving files to external HD and was able to startup normally. Updated OS to 10.5.7, along with several other items (iTunes was one of them). Put previously copied files (mostly iTunes). The computer ran successfully for a few days and then started getting KP's at startup again. Did another erase and install. Had success. Loaded iLife and Office 08 to have something to try to test the machine with. Shut down the computer and restarted successfully. I had forgotten I had not tested the RAM so downloaded Memtest. Tried to run it but the computer froze half way through the test. Did a hard shutdown, then tried to restart normally and got the KP again at startup. Here is the panic log:

Was able to start up in safe mode and ran memtest again, this time having success and finding no RAM problems from the single run of Memtest. Shut down and restarted successfully.
Turned the computer off for the night and just restarted it successfully about 24 hours later, and it is still running.
I presently have about 130GB of free space on my HD. I don't have any peripherals attached. The computer gets fairly warm at times but certainly not excessively.
Can anyone decipher my KP log and see if there is a fixable problem?

Had another kernel panic at startup this morning. I had the Leopard DVD in and was contemplating another erase and install, but tried to back out of it. On restart the KP happened. Here is the log:

Compass application can't running well after update firmware to 20120726

my windpad7 can't run compass application well after update firmware to Android_2.3.1_MSI_02_20120726 but it can pointing well if i turn it upside down (face down). i use the same application that running well on earlier firmware and I've try using another typical application and the result is the same,.. anyone experienced it?

on my n73 i can go to app manager and reinstall them.
if u wanna remove it, then reinstall them and uninstall.

Sony A7 failed to turn on after updating firmware 2.00

As i mentioned, my Sony A7 failed to turn on after updating firmware 2.00. It just appear a blank screen after click the finished button on the updating app on Mac. I waited for more than an hour and there is still no thing happened.

I bought the Sony A7II a few days ago. It initially charged just fine, but today I tried to charge it using the cable with an electrical outlet as well as the USB to computer. Neither one would get the charge light to illuminate. Not feeling the love Sony. I just purchased a Flash, wrist belt, filters, etc... I'm definitely not happy. It seems this is a problem!

Some buttons without tones after updating firmware...

Hi.
After updated firmware to version 20.0.080 (5530 Xpress Music), some tones and vibrates at dialing pad (just numbers) and at Contacts (main screen) don't work any more.
All other functions work normaly just as described, but some tones and vibrating functions doest'n seem to react. I have set touch screen tones on level 2, also the vibrate on level 2. Tryed to reinstal the latest firmware again, done succesfuly, but no changes.
Should I try to restore the phone by *#7370# ???
Is anybody facing the same issue ???

I have the same problem with my phone. After the update, installing v.20.0.080 the dial tone from the keypad just dissapeared. These morons at Nokia instead of adding letters to the keypad dialer with the new firmware, they went further and removed the dial tone. Such a progressive step..

For Safari try clearing its cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
For Safari and other apps try closing all 'open'/recently used apps completely and then see if they work ok after you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Apple TV doesn´t work at all after updating firmware!

After updating firmware Apple TV 3 the only thing that works is the little lamp on the front...it´s steadily blinks. It doesn´t response to remote control, and don´t show up threaded via USB in Itunes for resetting.

The update didn't apply correctly. You need to restore via iTunes.

Make sure you follow the steps correctly (unplug all cables, connect micro usb, then reconnect power)
Connect directly to a computer, not a keyboard port or USB hub. Try a different cable

Even if you do a firmware upgrade the password wont get changed until and unless if you do a device factory reset.

Ovi Maps hang- up after update

I bought my E5 lately & the maps worked very well .. however I found w SW update on the Ovi Suite ... yet after updating when I open it tells me searching for position & hangs-up!
Is there's a way to remove & re-install maps?

It's not unknown for access point settings to be disturbed during SW update, perhaps check Positioning server network access point. If you go to application manager you can see what entries you have for OVI Maps or Nokia Maps although you can't un-install version pre-installed in device firmware. If you have updated application then maps might be out of date, try deleting E:\CITIES + .qf file, run OVI Maps application again to re-define folder structure on memory card and re-download regional mapping.

N97 CRASHING AFTER UPDATING FIRMWARE TO 21.0.045!!

Help! 2 days ago my phone told me there was a new software update, so i installed SW Updater on my PC, aswell as PC Suite to back everything up before upgrading. I did the upgrade, all fine. Now the phone has crashed 4 times in the last 2 days! 3 times when i took it out of my pocket screen was blank, but the green and red call/hang up buttons were lit. Unable to use power button to turn off or on. Had to remove battery! Now it just crashed after sending a text, screen was lit and showing my inbox, but touchscreen, and all buttons (including power button) unresponsive, again had to remove battery!
I cant rely on a phone in this state, it may be in my pocket for hours, in a crashed state without me even knowing i am unreachable!
is there a way to revert the firmware, or is it worth reinstalling this firmware (is it even possible - how do you do that?), or is there a newer one available which fixes the bugs in 21.0.045??

You could try to reinstall your firmware through Nokia software updater. After the firmware reinstalling, reset the phone.
Soft reset. Type *#7370# and the phone's lock code (Nokia's default lock code is 12345). Warning!Soft reset deletes all your phone's data!
Note; don't make any backup of your settings!

Iphone 6 hanging problem after updating

I have updated my New Iphone 6(16GB) to 8.0.2 on 19th October and again updated to 8.1 today.But after updating to 8.0.2 my phone started hanging and the same problem is with 8.1.If I get 2-3 calls continuously the screen become idle and I have to press lock button or have to restart.I am using Iphone 6 (16GB) unlocked brought from Australia and using in Nepal.Is there anything what I have to do in my phone?

Problem after update firmware 1.2.1

After updated the firmware to 1.2.1, when playing MP3 format songs, the music goes strange and quality turn out very bad. However, when it playing M4A format songs, it runs perfect. Any idea or suggest? Please do not tell me to convert the MP3 file format to M4A.
