Mobile email 4.0 and LG Dare

Hello,
Was excited to see the improvements to Mobile email 4.0.  I have an LG Dare and was wondering if it will utilize this new version as well as the currently available feature phones?

    Currently, Adobe Reader for Android does not provide an option to disable auto-save.
    In the Reader home screen (where your files are displayed), you can make a copy of the original PDF document, open the copy (instead of opening the original document), make changes to the copy.  Once you email the copy, you can delete it.
    For more information, please see Help > How To... > Copy, edit, delete, manage.
    Although it is not the most convenient way to accomplish the task, that's the only feasible workaround that is available in Adobe Reader for Android right now.

    1. Close all open apps - double-click the Home button and swipe up on all of the thumbnails for all open apps
    2. Reset the device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your issues are resolved

    To do what you want, you need to set up the account on both devices using IMAP instead of POP3.  That way everything is synced, and anything you do to an email on one device is reflected on the other.  Here are the settings-----------------

    You didn't say what client you are using on the laptop, but both it and the phone will probably set  up the account automatically when you put in the user ID and password, as most clients now will detect Comcast accounts as IMAP compliant by default.  If not you can just enter the settings manually.

    I was wondering how we could set up to receive automatic alerts for new incoming emails on a Samsung Reality?

    Here is how to enable your alerts.
    1. From the Mobile Email application, select the desired email account then press the center of the 5-way navigation pad to choose Select.
    If prompted enter the username and password,  then press the center of the 5-way navigation pad to choose Sign In.
    2. Press the right soft key to choose Options.
    3. Select Settings then press the center of the 5-way navigation pad to choose Select.
     For AOL / AIM select Preferences.
    4. Select the desired setting then press the right soft key to choose Save.
    To disable the email alerts:
    Select Disable or Never.
    To enable email alerts:
    Select Enable or Always.
    To receive email during a desired time interval:
    Select Only During then enter the desired time interval.
    This setting may not be available on all handsets or accounts. Hope this helps

  • Mobile Email not retrieving messages for current month

    I did a couple of quick searches on this problem, but I couldn't find any information if this is a known bug with the Mobile Email application.  For the last week or so, whenever I access Mobile Email on my LG enV Touch, the first page of emails shown are for the previous month, but the same day of the month (so today is August 16th, 2010, and the newest messages I can access are from July 16, 2010).  There is no software update available.  From the application's info page it seems like my version is 3.1.3.2.
    Also, the email address that is being accessed is for an @comcast.net account, but this setup has been working fine for over a year now, until this issue came up. When I access this account elsewhere, it does show messages for the current day, like normal.
    Has anybody seen a problem like this?  Any suggestions for next step on looking into this?

    I do apologize that you are not able to retrieve any of the current months emails.from your device.However you may need to re download the mobile email application in order to get the emails to start coming through. Here are some steps to downloading the mobile email application from  your device. Hope this helps!
    From the main screen, select Menu.
    Select Media Center (Get It Now).
    Select Browse & Download (Tools on the Go).
    Select Get New Applications.
    Select Mobile Email.
    Select the purchase option.
    If prompted, select Yes to start the download.
    Select Yes.
    To continue the installation, review the Terms of Use, then select Accept.
    Select the desired email provider, then choose Select.
    If prompted, review the Terms of Use for the email provider, then select Accept.
    Enter the username and password, then select Sign In.
     Username and password are case sensitive

    Let me explain the requirement is detail, When user log-in to oracle apps by entering his/her user name and password then system send an email or send sms on mobile for One time password. When user provide this OTP then he is able to log-in to the Oracle Apps.

  • How do I configure Sprint Mobile Email to show my name in the email return address?

    I am using Sprint Mobile Email to check & send my Yahoo email on my Palm Centro.  When I send emails it only shows my email address in the return address and not my name.  I have my name set up in Yahoo but it doesn't get picked up when I send emails from my phone. 
    How do I configure Sprint Mobile Email to also show my name in the email return address?  Everyone may not recognize my email address as being me.

  • Mobile Email cant be cabcelled

    We used to have a blackberry Pearl, now replaced by a Q10 - and we cant stop the old Mobile Email account setup through Vodafone from interferring and causing delivery failure messages.  Vodafone have suggested we send the PIN and IMEI number to Blackberry, but we cant find a way of doing so.  Any ideas?

    Vodafone should escalate your case to BlackBerry, and they know that.
    You probably got some untrained low level employee who didn't care to follow through.

  • LG Extravert - Verizon Mobile Email - Google Calendar - All Day Events showing on wrong day

    I have an LG Extravert.  I installed and setup the Verizon Mobile Email application.  I added my gmail account.  I successfully pulls in my gmail calendar - BUT any of the events that as "All Day" events in google end up displaying on the wrong day on the LG Extravert.  If I drill into the event on the phone - it displays start and end times for the event.  Why does it do anything with time for an all day event?  and if it does (for some reason) still use times - why are the times off?  The timezone setup on my phone and google accounts all match.
    Please Advise...

    I am using the features of the Mobile Email application... I couldn't find a way with the Extravert to integrate directly with the calendar application. 
    If a create an all day event on the phone... it looks ok in google... but when the phone alerts me of the event... it says the Start Time is 1:00 AM.  It seems like the Mobile Email Applications calendaring is not able to correctly handle All Day events.

  • LG Cosmos - Mobile Email Gmail Credentials Problem

    I usually use a Droid but I broke on Friday and I'm waiting for an insurance replacement (it was on backorder, so I'm looking at two weeks.) I can't go that long without a phone so I decided to reactivate my old pre-smartphone, an LG Cosmos.
    I installed the $5 Mobile Email app on my phone, selected Gmail as my provider, inputted my credentials and I was met with a dialog that says: "You have entered an invalid Username or password. Please try again."
    I've verified and re-verified that I'm inputting the correct credentials. I have zero problems logging in on my computer.
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Are you, by any chance, using Google's 2-step authentication for your gmail account?  If so, your usual username and password won't work, and you need to make the mobile email app a "trusted" app and get a one time password for it to work.
    If you are not using two step authentication, then try using "other" rather than choosing the Gmail option, and entering the details that way.

  • Samsung Convoy 2 - mobile email interfering with handsfree?

    Wonder if anyone else has had this problem, and/or found a fix other than disabling mobile email. I have a bluetooth handsfree device in my car.  It woks perfectly with the Convoy 2 for making calls, etc. However, intermittently I would press the button to initiate a call, and nothing would happen. Once, I saw a message something like 'function not available during a call' or something like that on the front screen. A few other times, I would open the phone, and would see it displaying a mobile email notification. The handsfree couldn't initiate voice dialing mode until I cleared the notification.  I turned off notifications, but was still getting them for some reason. Finally, I turned off automatic message downloading, so there won't be any notifications. It now only checks for mail manually when I tell it to do so, which is an annoying loss of functionality.  I have never noticed that it failed to let me answer a call with handsfree, just that it wouldn't let me initiate a call. digging out the phone to flip it open and clear the notification is not a safe option.
    anyone have a solution other than only using part of the functionality of the phone?

    just to update in case anyone else comes across this in a search:
    I've been able to turn automatic email message downloading back on, but I have to leave notifications off. any notifications interfere with initiating anything handsfree. I can live without it popping up a notification about getting email.
    However, I did notice that there were other times the phone wouldn't initiate a call. I had programmed the red side button to take me to the Apps screen, since I didn't use push-to-talk. sure enough, even with the phone in my pocket, there were times when the front buttons would unlock and the side button would activate, and my phone would be sitting with a 'OPEN PHONE TO CONTINUE' message. opening the phone would show I was in the Apps screen.
    The phone update last year which increased the unlock delay did help this, as it occurred less often. but just increasing the delay still means it can unlock in your pocket and activate the side button. I tried to reprogram the side button to something that wouldn't prevent Voice Command functions from working, but haven't found anything. there doesn't seem to be a 'turn off side button' option, which would be nice.
    if there is a setting for the side button that would work, please let me know. I've gotten used to fishing out my phone and clearing the screen when handsfree dialing won't work, but it defeats its purpose as a safety feature.

  • Mobile Email Install Failing on Samsung Reality

    I've been having an issue ever since my battery died..   Most of my information seemed untouched upon recharging, but upon attempting to check my Email I'm prompted to reinstall Mobile Email.  While this would be a pain, would be workable except now when I attempt to reinstall (regardless of how I try to start the install or if I attempt to install to the phone or the card), I get the message
    "Install Failed.  You will not be charged for this application.  Try again later. (60549635)"
    It uses data against my plan (which is annoying) and happens time after time, I've left it for a week now and am still getting the same results.
    Any ideas?

    I would suggest to perform a master reset. This procedure will erase all user data and restore the handset to the original factory settings so it's best to back up your device before performing the reset. To reset your device follow the directions below.
    From the main screen, touch Menu.
    Touch Settings & Tools.
    Touch Phone Settings. 
    Touch Security.
    If prompted, touch OK.
    Enter the Security Code(default is the last 4 digits of the phone number).
    Touch Restore Phone.
    Touch Yes.
    Touch OK. 
    Enter the Security Code(default is the last 4 digits of the phone number). 
    Once you've performed the reset, set up your mobile email. 

  • Can't Set Up Mobile Email: "Server Not Found"

    Greetings,
    I'm trying to set up a mobile email account on with a flip top Verizon phone for a customer.  When I enter in our IMAP server details, I repeatedly get the message, "Server Not Found Check Your Details" or something like that.
    This mail server is entirely legitimate and all of our DNS information is correct. 
    Can someone from Verizon please chime in on this and offer some advice?

    If you've followed the details above then you've taken the steps the phone needs for service to run properly. Can you see if other data services work ok on the phone? Can you send/receive picture messages? Can you browse the mobile web? If these aren't working then it's the data connection itself causing the trouble. If they work then I encourage you to check with your email provider and have them confirm the settings being used on Mobile Email. Some email providers change their server details for mobile devices.

    Try this. Check the primary outgoing mail server username and password and make sure that they are in the settings even if it says that they are optional.
    Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if you can then send emails.
