    Ciao
1 - Flash Video will be supported in Flash Lite 3, due mid
year and probably on phones by the end of the year
2 - Available to develoeprs: it means that you can download a
FL player for that phone from Adobe
Available to Consumer: it means that the phone is FL enabled,
the player is already integrated on the phone OS
3 - the 6630 supports FL player, which means that you can
install the FL player provided by Adobe. So it's not really your
target device do commercial FL content. Target devices are the one
that are FL enabled. You cannot set the FL content as screensaver
in the 6630. Nokia S40 have that feature. But you cna for sure
    develop screensavers and wallpapers.

  • Error message when I try to publish aa application with  BI Mobile App Designer

    Hello,
We had last month a product demonstration of BI Mobile App Designer by Oracle's commercial.
Following this demonstration, I installed and deployed this module on one of our OBIEE server 11.1.7.141014
I thus tested the BI Mobile App Designer product by creating two smartphone applications that worked perfectly.
The problemis that since a few days, I can not access one of my applications from my smartphone.
From OBI, I then load my application and tried to publish it again, but I get the error message :
    oracle.xdo.webservice.exception.OperationFailedException: PublicReportService::generateReportParametersDefinition
    Failure: Due to oracle.xdo.servlet.data.DataException: oracle.xdo.XDOException:
oracle.xdo.das.DASException: BISvsException on getting a JBIPS member query data.
Then I tried to duplicate my "Mobile App" and rename it and when I tried to publish it I get the error :
    French message :
La bibliothèque d'applications n'est pas configurée correctement.
Assurez-vous que le fichier de configuration est défini pour la bibliothèque d'applications.
    English message :
The application library is not configured correctly.
Make sure that the configuration file is defined for the application library.
I don't understand what happens and I can't find any solution to this problem in Oracle knowledge base !...
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks,
    Thierry Demoy

    Hi Thierry,
In relation to the second error, I have had this before and it related to be below so this may help: Check the following file:
    <DOMAIN_HOME>/config/bipublisher/repository/Admin/Configuration/xmlp-server-config.xml
Check that the following line matches were you are trying to publish your apps on OBIEE. The default is normally "Apps Library" but you can name this folder anything you like.
Just change the below line and point to the folder. Restart the services BIMAD.
    <property name="APPS_LIBRARY_FOLDER_LOCAL" value="/Apps Library"/>
Let us know if this helps?
    Thanks
    Mark

  • OBI Mobile App Designer raises Internal Server Error

    Hi,
we are running OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1 on a 64-bit environment including OBI Mobile App Designer. We have the problem that two components (mapviewer and bisearch) are not starting automatically, which might cause the problem that we get a 500 Internal Server Error when trying to open the Mobile App Designer.
Before this problem occured we were running the OBIEE sample RPD that comes with the OBIEE installation. At this point in time there was only one component not starting up (bisearch component). Accessing the OBI Mobile App Designer was not a problem at all. After some time we decided to change the RPD in order to have more meaningful data available. Since we changed the RPD we face major issues with this environment.
I tried to start the mapviewer and bisearch components manually in the Enterprise Manager. This worked only for the mapviewer. Before we changed the RPD all the components except bisearch were starting as expected. At this time accessing OBI Mobile App Designer was also not a problem.
A few days ago we were even not able to login to analytics, which told us that user or password must be wrong. I then tried to refresh GUIDs because of the new RPD that has been deployed recently. This resulted in a failure of BI server start after trying to refresh GUIDs with the respective settings in instanceconfig.xml and NQSconfig.ini. After resetting the configuration to the initial state we were able to start the components including BI server. What still remains is the issue with bisearch component and the problem related to OBI Mobile App Designer as mentioned before.
We observed that the log file of the managed server contains some error messages that do at least relate to the bisearch component. We did not find any helpful information to tackle this issue. Any ideas on how to resolve these issues in order to be able to access OBI Mobile Designer again? Due to the fact that OBI Mobile App Designer uses BI Publisher there might be a problem with that.
I added the log file of the managed server.
Appreciate your help! Thanks in advance.
    Tobias

In OBIEE mobile apps designer there is no option for multi select prompts? The navigation page gives option only for single select? Is there a work around for this?

Nic, for me the iTunes window looks like this, when I connect my iPad 3:
I select the iPad in the "devices" section of the Sidebar (use: "View > Show Sidebar" if the sidebar is hidden).
Click the "Apps" tab in the "Devices" pane.
Scroll all the way down in the Devices pane to "File Sharing" "Apps" section.
Then do I click "GarageBand" to select the documents in the right panel.
Which part is different for you? Perhaps you could post a screenshot?

  • How to open the numeric keyboard in a mobile Flash Builder 4.5 app

I would like to open the numeric keyboard in a mobile Flash Builder 4.5 app when click on a text field instead of the full keyboard.  Is this possible?

It looks like this is implemented in Flashbuilder 4.6 through the softKeyboardType command:
        <s:TextInput softKeyboardType="number" />
    Here's a link to good article on it:http://devgirl.org/2011/11/29/flex-mobile-development-flex-4-6-cool-new-soft-keyboard-feat ures-sample-w-source/

  • Help: do you know how this flash design was made?

    Hi,
I am planning to do some portfolio site using flash and need
    help how to start.
I have seen some sites including like
    http://www.metmuseum.org/explore/cezannes_apples/look.html
If you click "Let's look closely" and pop-up window opens.
This flash design is what I like to know.
Could you give me some basic idea how to start this kind of
    flash design?
    It looks like
-if click zoom in buttom, image zoom in, and at the same
time, a kind of guide box in the small image appears, and I can
click+drag the guide box through the image.
This kind of design is used on some other museum sites and
portfolio sites. It seems like very useful design.
Do I need to know action scripts for this design? Any advice
or suggestion would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
PS: In case if I cannot talk about a specific web site like
this in this Forum, please let me know.

GAMBRKER, Thanks for your comment. I know what you meant. I
know about flash design but didn't work for a while.
    GAMBRKER or anyone else,
    - I will import quite big Bitmap image and save as
    Graphic-Symbol
-Then, if I click a button(zoom in), what action script could
    be make image bigger(zoom in)?
I have some knowledge of flash design. But not sure I could
make this idea to real flash design...

  • OBIEE11g-Mobile App Designer Point Of View

    Dear All,

    Hi
I was facing the same error after installing the Patches for (Mobile app Designer)  and so many restarts of all OBIEE components as well as the server,

then here goes the path for getting the issue fixed juts now.
1: Verify the Patches applied for the Mobile app Designer
2: followed the blog step by step for the process to get completed.
OBI Mobile App Designer Installation | OBIEE by Shiva Molabanti
3:after applying the patches and deploying theOBI Mobile App Designer (MAD) manually using WebLogic configuration  the bounce all the services on the OBI (all components)
4:the Run the Security Configuration as described in the blog . it wil give error if the services of console is not started as it awaits for the port 7001 of weblogic
5: after the successful completion of the security configuration restart all bi components on the OBI side and wiat for all the services to come up
now i logged in and click on New Mobile APP it worked as expected and it resolved the issue.

  • Edit width + height of friends flash design?

Hi, I am having a problem editing the width and height of a
friend's flash design. (By the way, I haven't done flash in a very
long time, so I don't remember a lot of features.) Basically, what
I want to do is change the whole flash effect to 800 by 200.
Currently, the design is 450 by 253. How can I change it?
Here is what I tried. First I selected "Edit Multiple Frames"
and then clicked "Modify Onion Markers" and selected the "Onion
All" option. Then I just changed the width and height in
properties. Nothing appeared to change except the handles moved.
(By handles I mean when you use the free transform tool the handles
appear to allow you to resize the object.) Nothing changed. After
this I just tried to change the width and height without the "Edit
Multiple Frames" option and it just made big white spaces around
    the design.
How can I change the width and height of the whole flash
design and effects inside? Just like resizing a photo in photoshop?
    Please help! Thanks!

Patience and tedium... one piece at a time... Maybe someone
else has a better answer, and if so, I wish I knew it a year or so
ago when I had to do the same thing.

  • OBIEE reports in Mobile App Designer View

    Hi All,
Is there any possibility to view the existing OBIEE reports in Mobile App designer page and edit the same?
Since more reports have been created already,we wanted to view and edit in MAD to make it available for Mobile users.
    Thanks

    Hi Rayno,
Did you try to use a different browser and are you at the latest patch of BIMAD?
Mainly if you are on IE I guess the patches fix compatibility with the various version of IE most of the time (Firefox and Chrome are better for that).
I also remember your other issue having the dashboard to display only when all the analysis are loaded, so maybe you have something in your setup (network, proxy, browser version, corporate rules etc.) impacting the user experience of BIMAD (but not only) in such a negative way.
I didn't spend weeks on it but never got BI Server crash because of BIMAD and random java errors (are we really talking about java or javascript?).

  • .   Mobile Flash Map

After almost 3 years of development, a new way of viewing
maps on mobile devices. Currently uses Flash Lite 1.1.
flashmap retrieves dynamic data from xml, parses it using php
then displays it on Flash Lite 1.1 enabled mobile phones. Use the
keypad to navigate and zoom in and out, #5 shows the menu, up and
down keys select the stores. Once pressed, you will be directed to
    the store you selected.
Please note: you may not see the stores actual page when you
press "enter" as it goes to a mobile website in Japan. Everything
    else is ok.
We are providing this service for free for users. Please

    Mobile Flash

    Hello there,
I think the problem is in how you're capturing the variables
in your PHP script. I created an example using your Actionscript
code and it works fine. Instead of hard coding the values for the
variables in the script, I created a registration form and got the
values from input textfields. Once you hit the SUBMIT button a
window opens in the browser and a PHP file catches all the
submitted data and outputs the results.
Below is the code I used in both Flash and PHP files. You can
    view the example
    here and
    download the files
    here.
    Hope that helps!

  • Oracle Mobile App Designer Error 404

    Hi,
When i try to access mobile BI i get the following error.
    Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
We have installed the Mobile app designer by doing the following steps.
    1.Installing patches
16556157 (2GB in size, ~30 min)This single OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1 patch set download is comprised of the following:
1 of 6 Oracle Business Intelligence Installer (BIINST)
2 of 6 Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP)
3 of 6 EPM Components Installed from BI Installer 11.1.1.7.0 (BIFNDNEPM))
4 of 6 Oracle Business Intelligence Server (BIS)
5 of 6 Oracle Business Intelligence Presentation Services (BIPS)
6 of 6 Oracle Business Intelligence Platform Client Installers and MapViewer
    16569379 (73k) – dynamic monitoring service patch
17004920 (3.8MB) - which enables support for BI Mobile App Designer in the catalog, and the Presentation Services UI
17220944 (139.5MB) - the actual BI Mobile App Designer app, enabled through extending the OBIEE WebLogic domain
    2. Deploy the OBI Mobile App Designer (MAD) manually using WebLogic configuration assistant
    3. Ran the Security Configuration
    4. Restarted Services.
Does anyone know how to solve this error? I would greatly appreciate any guidance.
    Thanks

    Hi,
this can happen if you do not follow one important part of the prerequities:
    >> Customers who are upgrading from 11.1.1.6.x or customers who have already performed an in-place upgrade to 11.1.1.7.131017, ensure that you enable the JBIPS features as described in "Enabling JBIPS Features" in Oracle Fusion Middleware Patching Guide.
(Applies to the "new" 11.1.1.7.131017 as well es to the "old" 11.1.1.7.1 bundle patches)!
So check, whether the JBIPS features are enabled. If not, enable them.

  • Mobil First Design and IE8

I have a responsive, fluid grid, mobile first design I put together in DW CS6. Sadly, I need to have the page readable by users who are running IE8 on desktops. The main problem is that IE8 does not read the media queries, and formats the desktop page according the the first set of CSS instructions, which are the ones for the small, iphone-type devices. This results in everything stacked vertically, per the small screen instructions, and it looks like crap on a large desktop screen.
So...  I created a new CSS page in DW, Then I copied the last set of formatting instructions, the ones for the desktop size viewports (without the desktop media query that precedes them) into the new CSS sheet and named it IE8.css. Then I added this to the Head of the HTML source code:
    <!--[if lt IE 9]>
    <link href="IE8.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
    <![endif]-->
I tested it off-line and it seems to work. So, there's about 15 individual pages in my site I need to add this conditional comment to. I was thinking that maybe I should check with you all before I do that...
    Thanks

I was wondering if I could just rearrange the order of the media queries-- but feared that it would (a) mess up the fluid grid design feature in DW, or (b) confuse iphones, in case they don't read the queries and just grab the first set of css styles on the page.
But I'm with you on the mobile first approach when designing pages Ben-- for me, it's more intuitive to start with the big layout then adapt it for the smaller screens. But that ship has sailed for my site-- little to big it is. At some point, maybe next year when MS stops supporting XP, I can just delete the IE8 sheet. Can't wait!
