Mobile gets connected to GPRS whenever downloading...

I access internet from my Nokia C3 using wi-fi..whenever i download any application from the internet it accessed GPRS for a short period just at the start of downloading and hence i'm charged for it.I cant understand why my phone gets connected to GPRS even when i'm using wifi just at the start of downloading of any app.
I tried to modify the Acees point address to a wrong one but it connects anyhow.

Firmware version- 8.71.

Can make sure that in your Connectivity settings and then access points, that you have your WLAN connection on priority 1 and the other connections on priority 2.
This ensures that the phone will use the WLAN connection when in range and your other connections when it is not in range.

N8 gets connected without running apps

Hello everybody,
I've a big problem, which is reducing the battery life of my phone (thought I've got a Flat rate data plan):
Constantly my N8 is getting connected through Gprs/3G and I don't have any program running. How to find out which process/app is it? I would post a list of running apps, but I don't know how to.

Have you set up an email account on the phone? If so it is the most likely culprit.
If so check your mail settings:
Menu > Applications > Mail > Settings > select your mailbox > Synchronisation >
The main option to look at is retrieval frequency, change this to a higher value.

I had the exact same issue, being on a mac. If you are on a mac and the connection error message occurs, then use this link http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg
It allows you to download it offline, which is what I used.

"Safari Downloading Safe Browsing Data" is just some data that is synce with the computer. To turn off on the Mac go to System Preferencs>iCloud and turn off Safari

IIRC, you can only download a maximum file size of 100MB with cellular.

1. Try reinstall iLIfe 09 from your install disk
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type

The Huntress is correct, I have missed that you have an iPhone 3G
Usually iTunes will tell you in that case, that iOS 4.2.1 the newest version for your phone.
If you don't have an iPhone 3G, network connections timing out can be a security software problem:

I have two ipods and they are somehow connected so they are getting same texts and items downloaded

By "game center account", do you mean Apple ID?
If so, you can change it.
1. Tap settings and navigate to iTunes and App Stores
2. Tap "Apple ID" and then tap "Sign Out"
3. Log in with a different ID.
