Hello,
I want to do some SAP NetWeaver Mobile exercises to learn the technology.
- Does it possible to install Mobile server on the already installed SAP NW CE 7.1 server (Java)
- I want to implement some approval BPM steps on BlackBerry. So it is possible to connect BlackBerry to Mobile server through WLAN and access BPM jobs for approval.
- I have installed SAP NW CE 7.1 java server on windows 32bit (dev. edition), Does Mobile Server also available on 32bit windows OS??
Does any one can recommend me any step by step doc. for installing and developing small application to deply on BlackBerry??

sory, my answer was a little confusing.
You do not really need a mobile client on your device in all cases.
You have to decide:
- do your clients have 100% connection when they have to use the service?
- is there any need to do heavy calculation on the client
If you can run everything on the server and have always connection to the server, you can build an online solution, accessible by browser. The Netweaver Mobile Always connected solution can render pages directly for Blackberry devices. So you have no need to install anything on your device.
If you need to have an offline solution, store some data on client,.... yes, then you need to develop your own custom client. There is nothing available out of the box from SAP.

Build installer LV2009, requires OLD distribution installation disks?

When building an Installer using LabVIEW 2009, and including additional distributions, why does the installer builder require the original distribution disks from the install DVD/CDs? Why are the version required not promoted to the LATEST update installed? This is a real PITA when I have to go find the disks from 1Q2009, no wait, it did not ask for that, it asked for Feb 2009 device drivers disk 2.
This is as bad as Microsoft for installing from original distributions.
It is not a good thing to expect that I have to maintain a library of DVDs/CDs for every distribution/update I have ever used. Especially when I am taking work home, and do not have access to this ENTIRE library, rather a copy of the lasest update ONLY.

Thanks Craig... BUT, I only have LabVIEW 2009 Intalled. although I have upgraded components through the quartely updates. So while what you say is true... it does NOT necessarly mean that you have 'multiple' versions of the LabVIEW development environment installed
That said... I have been at this for a little while (more than a day, but less than the time since dinosaurs walked)... and app building is something that has become much more complicated over time... I want to know WHY NI does not promote the installers/distributions to the most current version on the update DVD/CD where applicable... but you bring up a good point... If it cannot promote the distribution, it should give you a warning and ASK you if you wish to 'cache' the obsolete distribution as it does when building the current distribution. This gives you an option to cache it WHILE the distribution is handy.
Failing that, in the project, there should be an option to have it display the currently required distributions as opposed to having to build the installer object, start the installer build, then wait for it to ask you.... by then it maybe too late.
I realize that you are trying to help/offer workarounds... I appreciate what you are trying to do... BUT, in this case, I want NI's people to justify what they are doing and why. This goes beyond wish list, this requires justification, as even Microsoft has addressed this issue.

Agreed! Much as I love Firefox, I hate it's lack of a splash screen. Every single program on the planet that has a GUI should have as it's very first action when started to show a small splash screen, just so the user knows the command to start has been accepted. This action should be set to High Priority, interrupting all other actions such as virus scans, other programs closing, downloads, file copies, etc. Once the Splash loads, the rest of the start-up process can return to Normal priority and load in it's proper OS managed sequence.
I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally ended up with three or four browser windows open because there's no indication that anything is happening.

I just create new account for my new iphone4s.I don't have problem when I sign in with my Apple id password on my Laptop but my iphone is so complicated.
When I try to download an app on my Iphone 4s, something pops up saying "Security Info Required". Then below that it says "To help ensure the security of your Apple ID we require additional information". When I click Continue, It tells me to enter my Apple ID password. So I enter it. My Iphone then brings me to this screen that never loads and asks me to enter my Apple ID password again! So I enter my password again! The it asks me again and again and again! It never stops asking me to enter my Apple ID password. I know I'm not spelling it incorrectly because If I just type something random in, it will tell me I have entered my password wrong.
Please let me know what is wrong?

I updated some of my info via apple, mainly changing my password. I then went through the settings and signed out of store and resigned in with the new password.
Previosuly, everytime I tried to install an app the Request Secuity Info screen would pop up, I would fill it out and click done, and then it would reload and keep me at the same page. Finally, I would click cancel and try again and the whole thing repeated itself....
SO back to updating my password in the store, I installed an app, the security questions popped up AGAIN... but this time they saved my answers and proceeded to download my app. YAY

Info Required Installation EULA

I have just purchased CS6 upgrade single user (volume licensing). Currently I have a Windows desktop and a MacBook Pro. I would like to install the primary on the Windows desktop and the additional on MacBook. Am I allowed to install primary on Windows machine and secondary on Mac machine as per EULA? I am the only user.
Please let me know if it is allowed as per license since I have heard that multi platform is not allowed but I couldn't see anywhere in the EULA forbidding this.

Yes, certain volume licenses are multi-platform. Feel free to allocate them however you see fit. It realyl doesn't matter.

You need to go to SAP Support Portal --> Release & Upgrade Info --> Installation & Upgrade Guides
In the Alphabetical Index at the bottom, click on "B"
Then, on the left panel select one of the following:
7.0, version for the Microsoft Platform
7.0, version for SAP NetWeaver
Once Clicked you will be presented with all available guides.

Newer version of Apple Mobile Device Support required

When I plug in my iPod touch into iTunes, it gives me the following error message:
*"iTunes requires a newer version of Apple Mobile Device Support. Please uninstall both Apple Mobile Device Support and iTunes, then install iTunes again."*
I ran the diagnostics thing in the Help column with all four categories unchecked, and here are my results (I took out some of the irrelevant things, like my video card details):

I tried uninstalling AMDS in Control Panel > Add & Remove Programs but it always gave an error message saying *"Fatal error during installation."* I tried uninstalling in CCleaner, and that wouldn't work either.
Normally, I would do a system restore, but this problem started in late June, and restore points before July were all deleted because my system two weeks ago had 0 MB space.
Please help...I don't know what to do

I tried uninstalling AMDS in Control Panel > Add & Remove Programs but it always gave an error message saying "Fatal error during installation." I tried uninstalling in CCleaner, and that wouldn't work either.
I suspect there's a damaged AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi for the earlier version of AMDS on the system, kevin. (That can certainly cause the "Fatal error" when uninstalling AMDS.) So, if that's what is going on, if we can clear the installation database for your existing AMDS install we can probably get the new version to install.
Unfortunately, these sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for *at least version 3.0* of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any *Apple Mobile Device Support* entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes 9.2 again. Does the install of the new version of AMDS go through properly this time?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

How to set up Free option at checkout (no address, cc info required)

Since I'm no coding pro, I'm starting out with one of the default BC templates (Appliance King) and modifying it to meet my needs.
Here's a roadblock I've hit...
When someone checks out with just free products in his cart, I would like there to be no credit card fields, nor billing or shipping fields visible on the screen. And I don’t want a radio button marked FREE to be seen.
BC support gave me this page of instructions: http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/893/bc_893.html. I have followed these instructions, but they make a FREE radio button visible, and the fields for address information and credit card payment are still visible.
Any suggestions on how to make the page detect that the cart contains only free items, and let the customer proceed with "purchasing" a download without entering shipping or cc info? (In fact, shipping address makes no sense for ANY of my products since they're downloadable, but I'm requiring addresses for paid items because I have to for credit card transactions.)

To show hide things based on the options if the form has not been overly modified BC by default hides the CC fields if thats not selected with its own javascript. If a template etc has made changes to that then you need to add you own javascript in for those behaviors.

Installation of required support files for previous version in 8.1.7

Hello, can anyone please help me?
I have upgraded to Oracle 8.1.7 and I need
to install required support files for
Oracle 7.3.4 (to keep some applications running).
The only way I know how to do it, is to reinstall
Oracle 8.0.5 add required support files for Oracle 7.3.4 and
then upgrade to Oracle 8.1.7.
Is there any quicker way of doing it, directly in Oracle 8.1.7?
I could not find option similar to Oracle 8.0.5 to add files.
Please help!

not a problem w/co-existing, however, I need to install required
support filles through the installer process, so it is registered.

Installation and required disk space

I have just gone to install Leopard on my iBook. In the installation process when I select the hard drive on which I want to install on, it say that I need something like 6 gigs of free space. I only have 5 gigs free, so will this mean that I need to delete some files to have 6 gigs free and then when I install I'll have no space left on my hard drive and therefore need to delete a whole lot more stuff?

In general you need 15% more free disk space than required specs to get best performance. This number is arbitrary.
