Mobile Maps Europe met Ipod touch 4G

Goedemiddag,
Mobile Maps Europa GPS Navigatie, v8.2, Ontwikkelaar: Sygic (4+) .
Graag een oplossing voor dit probleem.
Met vriendelijke groet, Davey Hajema

Here is the translation in English...
Recently I bought Sygic MobileMaps Europe EUR 49,99 for my  IPOD touch4G 64GB.
Acording to Apple specs, the APP is working with this generation IPOD touch
However, GPS location is constantlylost.
Mostly a message appears ‘No GPS signal.
I turned 'location available' ON.
PDA-site is mentioning that Ipod touch is working fine with this App. Mobile Maps Europe GPS Navigation,v8.2,

I hope somebody has a solutionfor me.

hi everyone for  about 2 weeks now i cant seem to get any search results with the mobile myspace app on ipod touch 4g i have tried clearing cookies and cache ,resetting ipod uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing seems to work any ideas?

    - Have you tried going to the developer's support website/contacting the developer?
    - Try a reset. It surs many ills and nothng is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Something I discovered when trying to set up my Mobile Me account to ipod touch 2nd gen

I went to set up my mobile me account on my ipod touch 2nd gen and shows the option of Find my iPod. Will the find my iphone work??? I did set up an iCloud because I got an iPhone 4s today.

    Hi jcole,
Just wanted to let you know that I did a little looking around, and the Find My iPhone app that you see under your MobileMe account on your iPod was an app that worked with MobileMe, so it is still there, but it really doesn't do anything anymore. Back in the day, you would have logged on to www.me.com to get to a map which would show your location. Today, if you were to type me.com into the URL bar, you get redirected to iCloud.com....
So, just wanted to give you an update on what it is (I found it interesting - didn't know that the "Find My" capability was there before iCloud).
    Cheers,

  • Mobile Me Settings on Ipod Touch

I have successfully synched my calendar and contacts on my mobile web account. I have downloaded same to my Ipod Touch. However, I do not seem to be able to get Mobile.Me to synch to the Ipod Touch. I am connected to a wi-fi network. When I try to go to Mobile.Me via the web to sign-in, and check settings for synch..... Ipod tells me I can connect through applications, however, I do not have or do not see a MobileMe or .Mac icon to connect..... Need the calendar to synch to all the computers I use as well as Ipod. I assume the setting is "synch" for all devices.

well I found out I had to load the new Ipod software for $9.95 which was okand now, through MobileMe, I am syncing from Ipod to other computers but can't seem to get it to go TO the Ipod...thoughts.

  • Maps Application on Ipod Touch 2g

My partner recently bought an ipod touch 2g but cannot get the location to work on maps at home via our wireless router even though i can detect it on my iPhone. Safari works on it just not maps - any ideas how to rectify??
    Thanks
    Ange

The iPhone used GPS to determine location, while the iPod touch uses WiFi triangulation, the latter of which doesn't always end up with the correct or any location. I'm in WI and my Map's Location Services says i'm in OK! Granted, I don't live in a major city or anything.... Would be nice if Apple could put GPS in the touches, too, but I know that serves the smartphone market better.

  • Unusually effective Map app in iPod Touch

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
My first Gen iPod touch seems to know where I am when I'm using the Maps application even if I'm not connected to any wifi network. This happened to me in San Francisco once but I chalked it up to the prevalence of WiFi network there. But recently I was driving around Oxnard (not a place with great free and open wifi coverage) following directions on the map app I had set up ahead of time, and I found that the blue dot showing my position changed as I was driving around, showing my current location in real time.
How the heck does this happen? The thing doesn't have GPS AFAIK.

You might have come into an area that allowed your iPod to update your position. (It happens.)
No iPod has a built in GPS that I am aware of. That's an iPhone feature, because they have the 3G thing.

  • I no longer have an iphone.  Do I still need mobile me for the ipod touch?

I no longer have an iphone.  Do I need mobileme for my ipod touch?

You didn't need MobileMe for your iPhone either, per se. What was it about the service that caused you to sign up? Was it the "Find My iPhone" service? If so, that would still be perhaps useful for the iPod touch, though since the iPod has no GPS locations may be less accurate.
If that doesn't answer your question, please post back with further information about your needs and what you're asking about.
    Regards.

  • Maps, pins and ipod touch 4g

I've been dropping pins like crazy on maps in my 4g touch... after they turn red(purple when first dropped) I can not remove them... any help in deleting those pins?
    thanks

thanks... that's fairly intuitive. the pin/pins are NOT associated with any bookmark, or if they were they association was terminated yet the pins remains. even after relaunching the app.
even if I have multiple pins associated with 1 location they all remain.

  • Does mobile me work on ipod touch 2g. . . ?

    mobileme isn't working on my ipod touch 2g . . .  does it work on 2g . . . . .?

What do you mean "isn't working"?
What do you think it does?
It is a subscription service.  It gives you an e-mail address.  It allows you to sync contacts and calendars to the internet and to your devices.
What are you trying to do?

  • IPod touch 5G has no GPS built-in, then why Google map does show your location without wifi connection?

Am confused with the above, based on Apple's web site, iPod touch 5G has no built-in GPS, see this page:
    https://www.apple.com/ipod-touch/specs.html
However when I bring my iPod touch 5G to outside where no WiFi available, but when I move, the Google Map
on the iPod touch 5G does follow me and  show my current location, though the location accuracy is not high, say, errors can be
    around 10 meters or higher.
Wonder how the location information is acquired on iPod touch 5G if no GPS, no WiFi?
    Thanks
    David

Because wifi networks are within range of the iPod and the iPod detected them and the iPod already have the location of the networks on the iPod.
You do not have to be connected to a newwork to use the location of a netowrk.
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby routers that are in Apple's database of routers and their location. Thus it appears that Apple's database is incorrect. You do not have to be connected to the router, just within range.
Apple periodically updates their database based on information they obtain from iPhones, The iPhone has to have turned on the option to send info to Apple. no one has found another way to get the location of a router added/corrected.
You can confirm that by going to well-know place with wifi like Starbucks or McDonalds

  • Unable to open my ipod touch. Big screen.

Hello! I'm unable to open my ipod touch.
I was trying to zoom a satellite photo in maps when my ipod touch closed.
When I tried to open it again, I saw a big screen with big numbers (after slide to unlock.)
I'm unable to put my password correctly. 3 digit only.
Is anybody can help me ? Thank you.

Thank you but this is an ipod touch 4th generation.
Fortunately you were helpfull to give me the path. I connected my ipod touch to my Windows 7, started itunes and I have done a restore with a backup. After 1 hour everything is Ok. But next time, if it's happen I will try to tap with three fingers on my home screen to be able to see correctly my keyboard to enter my password. Thanks.

  • How to track a stolen ipod touch

i need help in finding my missing ipod touch

    museofitall wrote:
If you had Mackeeper installed you would be able to track it. Report it stolen through Mackeeper Anti-theft and it would be located when it went online. Great program. Highly reccomend the program.
err, isn't Mackeeper a computer program only, not a mobile device app?  And even if it were available for a mobile device like the iPod Touch, it suffers from exactly the same limitations as Apple's own find-my-iPod.  All a theif needs do is plug the iPod into iTunes, restore as new, and everything previously installed and set up on the device is wiped out.
Relying on any remote tracking software that requires a data connection is weak security at best.  Even a Mac computer can have the hard drive reformatted and the OS reinstalled if stolen by someone intent on resale, destroying any such tracking software.  With the device in someone elses hands, relying on any software solution to find the device is flawed, as there is almost always going to be a simple way to circumvent the online tracking feature.

  • I am attempting to update my iPod touch to IOS 5.1.1.

I am attempting to update my iPod touch to IOS 5.1.1. Every time I do I get the message  " An error has occurred while backing up this ipod (-43). Would you like to continue to update this iPod? Continuing will result in the loss of all contents on the iPoD."  I have some mobile authenticators on the iPod touch that if it gets reset, they will be a HUGE pain to get re-added and synced. Anyone know what I can do?
    Thanks in advance,
