Mobile me chat?

I visited a genius bar today. So much for that, the guy had no idea how to get my comments to publish. He said my next step would be to chat with the mobile me people. He navigated to a spot on this site that said so much, something like "chat with mobile me" or something like that. Well, I get home and I can't find this spot anywhere. I searched my history, I've searched the apple site, I've searched and searched and can't find the stupid spot he showed me. Any ideas? If I try calling the store I'm not gonna be able to get through to a person, and if I call apple support they will charge me. I need to resolve this and get my comments off of iweb. HELP

It is called iChat, but does this have anything to do with iWeb at all? Remember that this is an iWeb forum. There is a special help section specifically for MobileMe questions. Perhaps you could try posting there? Just go to Apple and click on Support and look at the drop down menu and the right side where you would select iWeb and select MobileMe instead.

I just bought my new Nokia, after a brief and temporary affair with a snazzy O2 phone. I love the Nokia design much more, and its user-friendliness. but i miss the extra mobility features of the O2!!
I need my mobile push email, mobile IM chat and a auto synchronization between my mobile and desktop Outlook (calendar, tasks and contacts). I've tried using individual applications for each of them, but it's too troublesome to be maintaining 3 gprs connections.
What can I do? I tried Google but I can't find a single app. that can allow me all these features.
I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions!!

It's basically a java application that allows me to do everything i want on my phone, and even more. I think it mainly targets the working people for added mobile office features, but also students. Just cos it's cool. and free!!

Why doesn't com.apple.IE.client.exeshut down when Mobile Me finishes sync?

Since upgrading to iTunes 9.1.0.74 a couple of days ago, the com.apple.IE.client.exe process, which starts during the Calendars phase of a Mobile Me manual sync process, fails to shut down when the sync process is complete. The Calendars phase now runs 5-10 minutes even when there are no Calendar changes. While it runs, com.apple.IE.client.exe runs at 50% of the CPU, and memory usage climbs continuously. It reaches about 2 GB (2,000,000 K in Windows Task Manager!) by the time the sync process completes.
However, com.apple.IE.client.exe _doesn't end_ even though the sync is complete. Instead, it keeps running at 50% CPU. Somewhere around 2.1 to 2.2 GB of memory usage it reports: "com.apple.IE.client.exe - Application Error. The exception Breakpoint. A breakpoint has been reached. (0x80000003) occurred in the application at location 0x0c90120E."
This has occurred at the end of four Mobile Me syncs now. Upon selecting OK to end the application, everything else seems fine.
I see other posts regarding the com.apple.IE.client.exe process in the latest iTunes update, but no clear resolution. I tried Apple Mobile Me chat, and replicated the problem twice while on-line, but their only recommendation (after verifying that my only Outlook COM add-on is the iTunes add-on) was to reinstall iTunes and Mobile Me, and if that didn't work, to create another user and see if the sync problem occurred there. Since that user would have no Outlook data to sync, this suggestion wasn't very helpful.

As am experiment, I just ran a Mobile Me manual sync, but first I de-selected Bookmarks, and synced just Contacts and Calendars. com.apple.IE.client.exe did NOT start at the beginning of the Calendars sync phase (as it had in the four previous syncs since upgrading to iTunes 9.1.0.79). In fact, it did not start at all, the Calendars sync phase finished quickly and the entire sync process finished in less than a minute.
The apparent conclusion is that com.apple.IE.client.exe is used to sync IE bookmarks with Mobile Me, it starts (for some unknown reason) at the beginning of the Calendars sync phase if Bookmarks are being synced (not at the beginning of the Bookmarks sync phase), it delays the Calendars sync phase significantly (but not the Bookmarks sync phase), and it has some sort of serious memory leak problem that balloons its memory usage past 2 GB.

Flex Mobile 4.6 introduces Stage Text - how do you render HTML text with it?

I have a little chat component in a Flex Mobile app that I just upgraded to SDK 4.6. The chat component has a text area displaying messages and they are HTML formatted via the following:
StyleableTextField(textArea).htmlText += myHTMLText;
Worked in SDK 4.5 but StyleableTextField is not a part of the new Stage Text framework introduced in SDK 4.6.
How do I HTML format the messages in my chat text area now?

I guess I'm kind of wondering what the best practice is here. Maybe I'm just doing this wrong altogether. I'm finding it very difficult to implement probably one of the most basic features one would find in any collaborative app - something that was very easy in Flex 3 - the chat pane. I've had one functioning fine for about 3 years. Not so much in Flex mobile.

1. add it to a TextArea with some nice formatting
2. auto scroll far enough so the user can see the new message in its entirety.
Nothing difficult at all.

The answer here seems to be don't use Stage Text. Revert to an older TextArea skin. Why? What text area doesn't need formatting as an option? What text area doesn't need to be auto scrolled here and there? Or am I just going about this wrong? Maybe using the wrong components?

Flex mobile add emoticons and text

I created a chat program in the mobile project, but I can not add emoticons，I know textarea can not display pictures,So I reluctantly use RichEditableText, it can add a picture, but why can not I enter characters (letters and Chinese characters) in the phone debugging, just enter only numbers, and punctuation symbols。Or there are other ways to solve add text and pictures？

Group chat not working on linux client

Ubuntu 12.04.4 and Skype Client for Linux 4.3.0.37
Group Chat no longer works for me I've tried everything online and no luck.
Do i simply have to wait for Skype to update the client because on the page for the new group chat experiece it says it's not supported but coming sooon!

recently our group started a new room as the old one finally broke down
( pencils just keep on staying up )

how ever my linux and windows skype never see the new group

i just experienced a weird thing!
I have a girlfeind in Mandalay, Myanmar, used to call the private mobile to chat with her and i did it last week also... I even bought a subscription plan package...
Yesterday when i tried to call her mobile using skypeout the call was just ended immediately. (like the wrong number) the same crap is for sms: sms failed - try again?
I contacted the live chat support about that issue and it was a freakin' surprise when I was told that this number was blocked by Skype tech. stuff due to security reasons and fraud calls attempt... What the heck? She even don't have skype installed and i'm pretty sure not many people are calling her from abroad by skypeout... Support said that they are investigating the issue and number is still blocked. They refused to tell me when it'll be resumed again! What the hell is going on there????

i think only the customer support can provide clarifications regarding your concerns. If they can't provide a specific date when the number could be possibly unblocked, I think you can ask them a generic timeframe of how long such issues are usually resolved.

If you're not going to host the wiki yourself and you want the Mac OSX Wiki, then it's either use the full OSX Virtual Server. If you can host the wiki, then buy a MAC-Mini (w/ OSX). You're going to need at least a T1 line (with a static IP) in order to make that work. Folks attaching to the wiki need upload speed.
So by the time you get done adding up all the expenses a remotely hosted virtual server may be your best bet.

You have a brand new device on a brand new network, minor problems are going to happen..
Have you tried to bump charge the battery? turn off wifi/bluetooth, change screen brightness off. Download juice defender and set up a proper profile.
HTC put the same battery in this phone as the incredible, maybe go troll their forums..

Can't add contacts to iPhone 3G

Hi. I have an iPhone 3G and have a problem when trying to add a new contact. If I receive a call from a new number and want to create a contact i press the "add to new contact" button and then type in the persons name and save it as normal.
However the new contact does not appear in my contacts list. the only way it can be found is if use the iPhone search facility to look for the contact's name. If I create a new contact from scratch it works it's just the "add to new contact' that doesn't work.

I have the same problem. 4.5 hours total across two mobile me chat support sessions have not found a solution.
The problem is the iPhone is saving contacts when created outside the Contacts App locally on the phone, and not within the MobileMe group.
I previously had Mobile Me (personal) and Exchange (work) on my phone. New contacts were never saving to either group, but would remain only local on the phone. MobileMe tech support suggested removing the Exchange account on my phone. They said that when creating a new contact the phone didn't know if it should be saved to MobileMe or Exchange, so it always defaulted to the local address book (thus never synced to the cloud). Upon removing my Exchange account, contacts created within the Contacts iPhone app will save to MobileMe and sync perfectly. Unfortunately, when outside the Contacts app (MMS, recent call log, website, email, etc), creating a new contact will still only save locally on the phone. Since MobileMe is the only contact account, the Contacts app will only show contacts within that group (not those that are local on the phone).
MobileMe support had no recommendation on how to fix this except for deleting my MobileMe account on the phone and trying to recreate. The problem seems to be the previous existence of the Exchange account and the iPhone thinking that group still exists somewhere, so by default, new contacts are still being created in the local phone group and not on MobileMe.
I hope someone has some solution to this big problem.

Solution to mail problem

just did this with mobile me chat, and it appeared to work.
settings, mail/contacts, etc. turn all notifications OFF, but select option to keep on phone when offered. when all off, delete the account.
switch iphone off and on again.
reinstate the account.
This appears to have worked for me so far. fingers crossed.

Just tried this. It didn't work. Any more help? I'm still getting ""The user name or password for "Gmail" is incorrect.

IPhone synchronisation with iCal

I could not find the same problem I have in the list , but maybe I'm wrong. Appologise for that.
My question seems very simple: I make appointments in my iPhone 3G and after coming home I want tot synchronise. After the synchronisation the appointments are disappeared from the Phone and not in iCal....
With one appointment one still remembers, but with more, yoy can forget one...

I just did my first sync with my 3gs and lost all my appointments!
Spent 2 hrs on phone being shunted between Mobile Me chat (waste of time) and iphone support. No one could assist me. I am desperate to retrieve my appts- I am a personal trainer and all my info was in my phone.
any advice, suggestions, etc would be appreciated.
I did check my Mobile Me settings prior to syncing.
Please help!

Hi everyone-I have one mobile me account. I want to video chat with a computer at home from my MacBook Pro while out of town. Can I do this with one mobile me account? If so how? Or do I need to buy another mobile me account?
