Mobile Me galleries shown in iWeb widget options

I have discovered the MobileMe galleries that are listed as an option to add are only those created in iPhoto or iWeb. Although the Media panel gives way to Aperture libraries, it doesn't incorporate the MobileMe galleries created in Aperture.
Is there a work-around to add the MobileMe galleries from Aperture into the widget in iWeb? I realize this may be more or less an "Aperture" question - but because it is in iWeb, I thought to ask here first. Thanks!

It's a known problem; try this work-around...
Log into me.com and open the gallery you prepared in aperture.
Select the "Adjust the settings for this album" button at the top, then select the pop-up that says "Syncs with" and choose "iPhoto" instead of "Aperture".
Press "Publish".
That's it, the gallery now appears in the iWeb Widgets list!
Also it still syncs with Aperture, both way

A gallery can be integrated into your website by linking to it.
If you want to have the gallery in the main navigation you will have to hide the standard one and build your own. The gallery link in this menu will be an external link and should be set to open in a new window so that viewers don't have to use their back button.

IWeb, IPhoto and Mobile Me Galleries

I have several websites on mobile me and also with go daddy. I have a picky problem with thumbnails and Mobile me Galleries. Here's the workflow and problem:
I have a group of videos that are related. Instead of using a flash playlist (IPhones can't play them), I open IPhoto and drag say 10 videos into IPhoto and create a new album. I then published that album to my mobile me gallery. All is fine except that the video thumbnails are not set wher I want them. Mobile me automatically sets the first frame as the thumbnail and since I fade up from black, the first frame is black. So once the gallery is up on my IDisk, I open IWeb and create an album page. WHile IPhoto is open, I drag the Album to my IWeb page. Again, all of the thumbnails are black. I double click on the album and the new page opens and all of the individual videos are there. I click one and then in the inspector, I choose quicktime and I can move the slider to select a new thumbnail (POster Frame) All is perfect. Here are the problems:
1. When I publish to mobile me or a folder and upload that folder to my godaddy site, it wants to re-upload to the gallery which takes a HUGE amount of time.Is there anyway to only upload the posterframe changes to the existing gallery? BTW, these changes to my IWeb page do NOT make changes to the Gallery thumbnails themselves, only to the reference within IWeb.
2. If I do this for another page, involving a new gallery of videos, it wipes out my original thumbnails that I set for the first set of galleries. When I go back to IWeb to re-select thumbnails for the second time and re-upload those pages to Mobile Me or Godaddy, It sends the whole gallery up, taking ANOTHER whole bunch of time to do it.
Any ideas on how to permanently set the thumbnails in Mobile Me? I'm sure you can't change them there.

You uploaded the pictures and movies twice.
Once to the MobileMe gallery.
The second time to the Webserver.
Here's a solution to soften the pain.
Display a MobileMe gallery page. Set the display you want.
Copy the URL in the browser addressfield.
In iWeb create a page and add a HTML Snippet.
Paste this line of code in the HTML Snippet and use the URL of your MMe gallery page as the src :
<iframe src="http://url.to.MMeGallery.html" frameborder="0" width="500" height="500" scrolling="no" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
Adjust the width and height numbers.
Now you have your MMe gallery in an iWeb page without the trouble of uploading twice.

Mobile Me Galleries in Aperture Project List

If I create a mobile me gallery in aperture it appears on the project list, near the top under mobile me galleries. That's fine, until I close aperture and then the next time I open it I don't have any mobile me galleries listed. It hasn't always been like this, I first noticed it about a month ago but it might have happened before then. The galleries are still on my .me space, I know that I haven't deleted them. However if I go into Aperture, preferences and go on the mobile me tab I can see all the galleries listed, I then have to click the 'check now', the galleries then reappear in my project list, although sometimes I have error messages during the process. So whilst I can get around the problem, it's not ideal and I'd really like to have all my published galleries in my project list so I can edit them. I'm using Aperture 2.1.2 and OS 10.4.11.
Has anyone else had a similar problem - any suggestions and help would be much appreciated.

Mobile Me galleries in iphoto

How do I delete any trace of my mobile me galleries from my iphoto application? I have signed out of MM, but the online albums still appear in the side bar. I do not host any photos from this computer.

Are they password protected? If so that's why. Otherwise try deleting the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist.
Are you able to see iPhoto's albums, pics in the Media Browser in iWeb? If not you can try the following: open the iPhoto Library package, move the AlbumData.xml file to the desktop and launch iPhoto. That will rebuild that AlbumData.xml file which is what the Media Browser uses to show the albums, etc. in iPhoto. It probably will rebuild the web gallery list as well.

Lost link to mobile me galleries

I was uploading some pictures to my mobile me gallery when Aperture quit unexpectedly. When I restarted Aperture, all of the links to my mobile me galleries were gone from the project pane. I tried rebuilding the library but it did not help. Any suggestions about how to go about relinking to Mobile Me?

Not able to load page with contents to be shown on selecting first option

I have one.jsp which has a select box whose values are got from the database..on change of option, the two.jsp is excuted (which includes one.jsp using one.jsp) and the corresponding results are shown...
As of now i am using the select box with the first option as "select the option"..
Now in the select box, i dont want the use
[<option>--Select the option--</option>/code]
...i want to load the select box with the database values in one.jsp and load the corresponding contents to be shown for the first option value automatically using two.jsp by default...
can anyone help me out in this....Urgently needed

Let me try to explain this with example:
Say The select box contain these values: Fruits and Vegetable which say are retrieved from the database.
the onchange function retrieves the following if Fruits are selected:
Examples of fruits: mango,apple
Similarly if Vegetables are selected, the followin is displayed:
Example of Vegetable: Raddish, Carrot.
Since i was using the "Select a option" as the first option, when i clicked on fruits the examples of fruits are displayed and if i select vegetable the example of vegetables are displayed.
Now i dont want to use the "Select a option". I just want to show the option values as fruits and vegetables and by default the examples of fruits should be displayed. If i select vegetables the examples of vegetables should be selected.
Currently what is happening is that i am not able to show the examples of fruits by default. Secondly, I am able to show the examples of vegetables on selecting the Vegetables from the select box but if i select the Fruits again, the examples of fruits are not been displayed.
Hope you get this better now...Any solutions...

Published page doesn't match page shown on IWeb

Hi Folks, I have been trying to update my website, but one page won't publish as it is shown on IWeb. All the other pages are fine, but this one changes the font size and colour, changes the format of photos, puts in extra headings that are oddly formatted, and generally looks totally different to the modified page. I have tried reformatting the whole page- and it looks correct on IWeb, but when saved and published it goes weird again.
Next time I open IWeb, it looks like it should- but again publishes strangely.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Before viewing a freshly published page in the browser make sure you have emptied the browser cache.
To find out where the problem lies you need to publish your site to a local folder and launch this version in the browser to see if its OK.
If this version of your site has problems you need to troubleshoot iWeb. The steps required to do this, and more, are shown here under "Troubleshooting" .....

Solution
To achieve this goal, please embed JavaScript code into the SubscriptionProperties.aspx file to change those default values (By default, the file’s location is: <Installation directory>\Reporting Services\ReportManager\Pages\SubcriptionProperties.aspx).
The example below will show how to set default values for “Cc” field and “Include Link” field.
Before coding, pleas find out the corresponding HTML tags of the two fields in the browser using IE Developer Tools.

HTML Snippet does not exist as a Widget option in iWeb 09

I have iWeb 09 on my machine. I'm trying to insert an HTML Snippet onto a page so i can drop in the code for a XSPF player.
When i choose "Show Media", under Widgets there are only four, and HTML Snippet isn't one of them. I only have:
MobileMe Gallery
Google AdSense
iSight Photo
iSight Movie
I also don't have the YouTube widget, the Google Map Widget--these i only know about by looking in support and seeing that these should all be there.
Any thoughts as to how i can get HTML Snippet available in my media widgets? My site is almost completed and ready to publish. Without this feature it will be pointless to publish at all.

Aperture MobileMe Galleries not showing in iWeb widget. iPhoto Gallery does

Is this a know problem? The galleries I've created in Aperture are not available to select. The iPhoto web gallery shows up immediately in the iWeb menu.

Have you set Aperture to share the Previews with the iLife apps.
Aperture -> Preferences -> Previews and check the box at 'Share Previews with iLife and iWork'.

Updating photo's and movies galleries without using iweb

good day to you
i made a new website to my friend and upload it to his server
1. there are 4 galleries for photos and i want to give my friend the option to upload new photos, is there a way to make it in iweb? i want to get into one page and have there 4 photos for each gallery
and then when you press it you will be able to see all the other photos - and the big problem is how do i make it for him to update the photos ?
2. also like photos i want to do the same thing for movies is there a way?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Use a java script slideshow have him replace the existing image files i with new photos having the same file name. I have a couple of such slideshows:
Flash Album Exporter Postcard and AutoViewer Slideshow Themes. Both themes only require uploading a full sized image, not thumbnail file is required.
Jalbum-Digital Photo Librarian Skin. There are over 100 different Jalbum themes to choose from. Many will not require a thumbnail file. Some do.
All your friend would need to to is create the image files in the same pixel dimension as what is created initially and at an optimized files size so it's not too big, somewhere between 30 and 200 KB, and up load to the folder containing the image files used by the java code.
Another type is this Conveyor Belt Slideshow. Again, you upload a folder of photos to the server and link to them in the code provided. You can change the code to use whatever size photo you'd like.

Iweb widget and HighSlide

I have read in someposts that we can use widget to implement highslide in iweb.
So that we will not have to do the post-editing of html pages.
Can somebody please tell me how to do that?

I have been searching this iweb forum for information on "how to show my photos (slideshows) with the following:
- Dimensions I want (ex: 1024x768) for better showcase
- with the photo size i want (500k or 1MB) for good clarity
I tried setting "original quality" in photos of iweb and fullscreen option in slideshow. But somehow the photos dimensions are not changed even when i said to use original quality.
Please suggest me how i can do it

Web Galleries and new iWeb album pages

The new version of iWeb allows for "album" pages that serve as a collection of all the photo and mvies pages that are in a site. This is pretty slick, and allows one to re-order the photo pages exactly like one can re-order photos on one of the photo pages.
I am playing with web galleries, and notice that you can create a widget for a gallery for any iWeb page. When I do this on my album page, the widget shows up, but does not act like or interact with the other picture pages. It is simply a "widget" that sits on the page where it is placed. Has anyone figured out how to get a (link to a) gallery to act like one of the photo pages?

I'm searching the forum for a solution to this too; web galleries look cheap next to the albums, and there's no reason for it. Short of changing all of my albums to galleries, here's my temporary solution, but it's a half-measure:
1) Drop a square on top of your .Mac Web Gallery widget that's just a bit larger than the widget.
2) Select the square, and in the Inspector, go to the Graphic Inspector, and under Stroke, select Picture Frame.
3) Select the frame that matches your album's format, then resize the square until it's just about the size of the widget, or provides the desired border width around the widget.
4) Move the square backward, behind the widget.
5) If desired, add a dummy album name beneath the gallery for visual continuity.

This worked for me because I'm using a white background and white frames; your mileage may vary depending on what theme and picture frames you're using. (I can't recall if I enabled additional frames in the Inspector as described in the Keynote forums - if a matching frame appears to be missing in the Inspector, let me know and I'll double-check this.)
Still, it's a sub-optimal solution, because 1) the widget cannot be resized 2) the widget still contains the gallery name, and 3) widgets cannot be rearranged the way albums can - they probably have to be segregated from albums.

Widget option does not appear when trying to add Firefox home screen widget

E mail suggested the method of holding empty space on home screen, then select "widgets" and add Firefox widget. Unfortunately my nexus 7 only offers wallpapers, android messenger and 1 other. Please advise, thanks Allan

On the main computer, per "Part 3: Connect your other computer to your Sync account", there remains no indication of being signed in, no Manage Account button and no Add a Device link when I click on the Sync icon in Options (accessed like this: Firefox menu, Options menu, Options menu item, Sync tab).
The account has, however, been set up and I can sign into it to manage it at https://services.mozilla.com/ and after following the procedure at the "I don't have the device with me" link my iPod Touch and laptop both reported that Firefox Sync had been successfully set up. However, experimenting to see if it is working, adding a new bookmark on the desktop PC does not result in it being replicated in Firefox Home on the iPod Touch after tapping Settings, Refresh (although I am shown as signed in on the iPod Touch).
Am I missing out some step regarding having the account "active" on the desktop PC?
