"Mobile Me has been discontinued" notice freezes Aperture

When I open Aperture on my iMac, the "Mobile Me has been discontinued" flag appears, but it and all of Aperture are frozen. I have signed out of Mobile Me and into iCloud, and all software is up to date. Any ideas? Thanks.

Click on the Learn More link, then ignore the resulting web page, and open Aperture Preferences/Web and remove the account info for MobileMe account or accounts.
Some have had to remove internet access temporarily, but I didn't have to do that.

• I am trying to install Adobe Encore, but it has been discontinued. Can I install and activate a previous version using my Single App Premier Pro membership?

I am trying to burn and author a Blu Ray DVD. I do not have a usable version of Encore , as it has been discontinued. I currently have a Single App membership for Premier Pro CC.
I was advised to install Premier Pro CS6 as Encore comes with this package. I did this, and the software downloaded but an error message came up saying my membership had expired. I think this is because I do not have permission to run Preier Pro CS6 using my Premier Pro CC membership. How can I get the software using my current membership? Or do I need to upgrade my membership to a full Creative Cloud membership in order to use Encore?

CS5-thru-CC PPro/Encore tutorial list http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1448923 will help
The bottom section of the link above has several Adobe links, and other information, on downloading Premiere Pro CS6 and the bundled Encore CS6, and the TWO ADDED downloads for the Encore library content, to author a DVD or BluRay... and the tutorial list includes learning how to use Encore... pay particular attention to the picture in reply 3 at this link - https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1516173 (picture first posted by Ann Bens and reposted by Stan Jones)

• I would like to know which model has been discontinued? is it EOS 600D or 650D?

i would like to know which model has been discontinued? is it EOS 600D or 650D?
And is 650d at 1650 a good deal?

In North America the 650D is the marketed as the EOS Rebel T4i. It has been replacd by the T5i (in some other markets that's the 700D).
The T4i was nearly identical to the T5i (cosmetically they are identical other than the mode dial is slightly different on a T5i). It would not have made sense for Canon to continue to market both so they dropped the T4i. The T3i is different enough that they still make that model.
The list price on a T5i camera including the kit lens (EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM) is about $850.
A price of $1650 (assuming that's US dollars) is extremely high.

• I AM TRYING TO INSTAL THE ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENT 10, BUT IT COMES A NOTE SAYING TO GET THE ADOBE SUPPORT ADVISOR, I TRIED THEY SAY IT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED, I BOUGHT THE LICENSE AND A NEW APPLE COMPUTER AND NEED TO INSTAL IT,

I AM TRYING TO INSTAL THE ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENT 10, IN A NEW APPLE COMPUTER, BUT IT COMES A NOTE SAYING THAT THE INSTALATION WAS NOT ABLE TO INITIALIZE, AND THAT I SHOULD DOWNLOAD THE ADOBE SUPPORT ADVISOR TO DETECT THE PROBLEM. I DID IT BUT IT SAYS THAT IS HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED,

start at the top and work your way down applying applicable fixes until your problem is resolved.
if cc (win): https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-application-failed.html
if, your error is:
"Installer failed to initialize. File not found." or "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to missing files."
first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.
to find OOBE:
64 bit win OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
32 bit win OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
mac os: HD>library>application support>adobe>caps
mac os: USER>library>application support>adobe>OOB
if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
if you're using a dvd to install:
copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
if you're using a mac:
1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
5. Start the installation again.
if everything applicable above fails, check your installation logs:

• I recently bought Apple TV. I now understand it has been discontinued. What gives?

I'm really a bit put out with Mother Apple. Less than a month ago, I bought Apple TV2 from the company itself online. In a flash, it has been discontinued. No warning with my purchase or anywhere else that I visited while deciding whether to buy it. Is there an alternative out there? One in the works? Is Apple going to offer an upgrade option/ (I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to that one.). I was an early owner of the original 128K Mac in the early 80s and remained loyal throughout the years until my final employer said I had to convert to Windows. Now I'm retired and back to Apple's family of computers and gadgets. I think I misssed a turn or two along the way. It the customer support and service really as shallow at it appears to be?

Thanks, everyone, for the explanations. I'm not new to technology, just weary of upgrade churning.
My annyoyance stemmed from information that I received from the Apple departments within two large Northern Virginia electronics retailers within the past week. Duringn personal visits I made specifically to purchase a second AppleTV for a vacation home, the supervisors of both departments (one of them quite extensive) informed me that they were not carrying AppleTV currently. Both said that it had been discontinued and that Apple was going to be introducing an entirely new product design whose release date was as yet unknown. It appears that they were wrong. Europe may have once again gotten an earlier release of the newest model than we in the colonies have enjoyed -- at least the Virginia colony. The device that I own already was purchased at Apple's online store in late February. I agree that this is not as extensive a redesign as the store managers were expecting.

Also, how can I remove duplicate photos in an album without doing it manually?
Thanks!

When the prompt pops up next time you start iPhoto select Learn more. Then click on iPhoto preferences and select the Accounts tab. Delete your MM account and the quit iPhoto. Next time you open iPhoto the problem should be eliminated.

I just saw a message that iWeb has been discontinued by Apple. It suggested changing to EverWeb. Has anyone used this or do you have another recommendation?

Hi
I have now used Everweb to transfer a website from iWeb & am now working on transferring a second website.
I cannot recommend Everweb highly enough. I am an amateur, so iWeb was the easy option for me. Everweb is just as easy to use and very similar to iWeb. New features are being added every few days.
I am extremely impressed by the excellent and prompt service from both the forum and support. All my questions have been answered (& there have been many of them!)
Everweb is complimented by an excellent site Everweb codebox which has developed more widgets and codes to add to Everweb. Roddy from Everweb codebox has been invaluable by answering questions on the forum & generally complimenting the Everweb team.
I have purchased the Everweb program & Hosting. This gives my 1 click updating and works seamlessly. The price is competitive and the support exemplary.
All in all, I am delighted with Everweb, excellent program & excellent support!! I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone.
In answer to your question...buy it!!!!

• Ever since my iphoto library crashed (ran out of space without warning) my mcbook pro has been slow, unresponsive, freezes in sleep mode and won't restart... please help.

Hi everyone
Ever since my iphoto library crashed (ran out of space without warning) my mcbook pro has been slow, unresponsive, freezes in sleep mode and won't restart...
I've since backed everything up on an external hard drive, removed the corrupt library, even reinstalled the operating software and there is now hardly anything on the hard drive, it still runs painfully slow. If I close the lid which puts it in sleep mode, it either doesn't go into sleep mode but instead the battery just gets drained and I find it completely empty of power (it won't start again unless plugged in), or it goes into sleep mode but just freezes when I try to reopen.
In iphoto (reinstalled) but even other applications it is painfully slow, not like a mac at all!
I am trying to go to genius bar with it but thinking maybe someone in this forum can help...
Many thanks
Andre
