Mobile me server offline

I am having problems emailing pictures from my computer. Says server offline. Help

Mobile Me no longer exists apple have shutdown the servers to Mobile Me since the transition to iCloud. If you go to me.com you can see they have closed down the site. Try logging into iCloud on your Mac through System Preferences (an update may be required) or if your mac is not compatible login at iCloud.com where you can view your email and then set up a new account in mail and it will renew the servers to iCloud.

  • Mobile travel expense offline

    Hi ,
Can any please let me know how the Mobile expense offline application(MTR) will open when the user is offline. Is this MTR application works like standalone application  when the user is offline. Please let me know the details and do the needful.
    regards,
    krishna

    Hi,
Mobile Time and Travel (MTT)  have the expenses functionality that you are looking for, it works like any other Mobile application which needs Mobile Infrastructure to be able to run.
All the Mobile applications based in Mobile Infrastructure like :
    xApp Mobile Asset Management
xApp Mobile Asset Management for Utilities (xMAM Utilities)
xApp Mobile Time and Travel (xMTT)
xApp Mobile Sales for Handheld (xMSA HH)
Are meant to be run offline where the user does not have network connection and trough synchronization once you get a wirless connection or wired  it will send the data (saved offline) to the Mobile infrastructure server which in his turn will send it to the appropriate backend system.
Depending on your architecture and your company needs your Mobile infrastructure server can be runing as en example in ECC 6.0  dual stack ABAP+ Java (if it has been configured) or as standalone server that connects to an ECC system.

  • MobileMe mail server offline

I am having lots of trouble sending mail using the outgoing MobileMe mail server - it continuously says it is offline. Do I need to reinstall my MobileMe mail account after Lion upgrade?

I have had no problem sending through Mobile Me from either Lion version of Mail, or any other device, including PC  -  just checked and mobile me server accepted my message fine and sent it on.
So it's not affecting me in Australia.
All functions of Mobile Me that I use are still functional  -  still not sure when I will need to shift over to the iCloud.

  • Question about Mobile application with offline update (async)...HELP!!!

    Hi Gurus,
I have a question. I want to develop a mobile application, that update data on the backend as offline mode. I know that MI has this function (OFFLINE/async update), but the twist in my story is that i dont have a MI Server and i have not planned to install one in a near future. I've developed several mobile webdynpro application, but the update mode in this kind of application, is allways online mode through RFC. Now my question is: Is there other SAP Mobile Technology  that i could use in order to develop my mobile application with offline update mode without depending on MI Server and all its architecture using only a webAS JAVA server? such as some kind of webdynpro API that i could use for this? or something else?. Please help!!!, i will wait for your answers...
    Regards,
    Mariana

You said updates, which means you want to get data from SAP, modify it offline, and then send it back...
You will have to create some webservices.  One to get the data, and one to update data.
You will have to create a local database that is loaded with the data from the download webservice.
You will have to create an application that calls the webservices, manipulates the database, etc.
You will probably want to program in some kind of security etc...
WebDynpro is more for online applications.  You could create a standard j2ee or .net application that uses webservices, but nothing really standard SAP for the front end.
    Hope this helps

  • Mobile Web Server: suggestions

Say you want to remote-start your cellphone webserver. What do you do? Well, first you have to log in on the "Mobile web Server" webpage, and then click on the "Start the server here" link.
This is very much bending over backwards. Why not provide a "start server" link on the offline page, asking for login data? It is very likely that the only bookmark you'll have is to your own mobile website, not to the "Mobile web server" homepage as well. This way, if your server is not online, you'll end up on your offline page. From there you'll have to surf over to the "Mobile web Server" homepage, log in, and then finally find the "start server link." Very unintuitive! Very cumbersome.
Please put a "start server" link on the offline page!
    Thanks.

Your feedback will most likely not be noticed by the relevant people here.

  • Can I use my iPad to connect to a Mobile Access Server on a Mac mini ?

I run a small business and am considering setting up an internal network. The online "features" description for Mobile Access Server (a component of Snow Leopard Server) says I can connect remoetley from an iPod or a Mac. The iPad is not mentioned. can I use my iPad to connect to a Mobile Access Server?

Yes. It's the same as connecting from an iPod touch or iPhone.
Logmeinigniton or teamviewer are a few of the apps you can use.
Teamvewer has free app and you can see if it does what you want.

  • Mobile Access Server setup

So, I'm setting up a 10.6.1 server in the DMZ to be a Mobile Access Server to reverse proxy mail, calendaring, and web. Couple issues I have:
    1. I want to manage this DMZ server from a different internal 10.6.1 Server inside my network. I have turned on Remote Management on the DMZ server, but cannot connect from Server Admin on the internal server to the DMZ server. I need to be able to manage both servers from one Server Admin console. I also need to be able to screen share the DMZ server for access ONLY from the internal server. How do I accomplish this?
    2. My internal 10.6.1 server is my Open Directory Master already, and working nicely. But to use Mobile Access Server and reverse proxy services back to the internal server, I need the DMZ server to be aware of my existing directory inside. Would I want to make the DMZ server an Open Directory Replica, or should I use the middle option for Open Directory types called "Connect to another directory"? Obviously, I know that it should NOT be another master.
    3. I have purchased and implemented a wildcard cert on my internal 10.6.1 server to use for TLS, HTTPS, etc. I have also told the Open Directory Master to use ssl for the LDAP piece of it (there's a GUI option for that). Figured I might as well secure everything I can a bit more since I purchased the cert. What effect will this have on Question 2 above? Will I need to open a different port for instance on the firewall for LDAP over SSL? Or any issues with creating a Replica or "connect to another OD server" on the OD server in the DMZ to get it to connect to the internal OD Master?
Thanks for all the help here.

To your #1: When you use a firewall to place a device in a DMZ, that device is not part of the internal network. It 'technically' sits on the outside of the firewall at nearly the same place as your external connection.
Some discussions about a firewall use colors to designate the 'data protection' level or 'threat' vector.
    (Below was 'borrowed' from http://riskless.com/firewall_configuration.aspx)
    * RED Network Interface
This network is the Internet or other untrusted network. IPCop’s primary purpose is to protect the GREEN, BLUE and ORANGE networks and their computers from traffic originating on the RED network. Your current connection method and hardware are used to connect to this network.
    * GREEN Network Interface
This interface only connects to the computer(s) that IPCop is protecting. It is presumed to be local. Traffic to it is routed though an Ethernet NIC on the IPCop computer firewall.
    * BLUE Network Interface
This optional network allows you to place wireless devices on a separate network. Computers on this network cannot get to the GREEN network except tightly controlled “pinholes”, or via a VPN. Traffic to this network is routed through an Ethernet NIC.
    * ORANGE Network Interface
This optional network allows you to place publicly accessible servers on a separate network. Computers on this network cannot get to the GREEN or BLUE networks, except through tightly controlled “DMZ pinholes”. Traffic to this network is routed through an Ethernet NIC.
    * The GREEN and RED networks are required
    * The ORANGE and BLUE networks are optional
The interface requirements for your RED network will vary depending on your connection to the Internet. The RED network may require an additional Ethernet card and cable.
you can also read up all this from a more neutral article here: http://www.ocmodshop.com/ocmodshop.aspx?a=1526
The point of all this is that, depending on 'where' the dat is comgin from , it either is denied access ,or must be 'punched through' to allow access. Her is a diagram of that process (from a linux firewall called ipcop)
Soaccess from inside (your network) to your DMZ device should work without any trouble but from DMZ to inside should require ports to be opened up. On most Firewalls, they call this port access 'Pin Holes' as the DMZ is itself protected by only allowing the ip address of that network into through the firewall. Possibly Your firewall is not doing any kind of Statefull Packet Inspection so all conversations must have a pinhole to come 'back' out of the dmz? Tell us your firewall brand and that might help.
#2: I would use "Connect to another directory". YOu want to limit the amount of data that can be compromised in the DMZ. As I mentioned the DMZ is outside your network, technically naked to the world. I believe that any port that does NOT get routed (forwarded) into your green, will automatically be forwarded to your DMZ, so it will be hammered with all manner of hack and virus vectors.

  • Mail server Offline\Slow sending

    General Information
Okay so I have a mail account through my website's hosting company. For the sake of this post we'll say my site is FearMyRage.com making my email [email protected] I send mail over SSL, and all ports and settings are correct in the Mac mail client (this has been verified 3 times including by my mail provider).  I’m currently running 10.7.5
I have been having issues as of late connecting to my host's mail server and or sending slowly but this only seems to happen in Mac Mail (on my Work Mac). I have no issues connecting or sending on my iphone, and on my home computer (pc). And the webmail appears to also work quickly. So I know it's not my host company's email server.
    The Actual Issue
Generally what happens is mail will get stuck in my outbox regardless of its size. I've sent test messages with less than 1KB in size that will sit in my outbox for 2 minutes. And they will either send, or get stuck and I will be prompted with Mail server is offline message. I will click the "Bring all servers online" button but nothing happens. The only way to get rid of this error temporarily is to actually close Mac Mail and re-open it. This will usually fix the issue 50% of time. The other 50% of the time it just continues to prompt me with the server offline message.
    Steps I Have Taken
I wanted to verify if this was an issue with just my machine or Mac Mail, so I tried installing Thunderbird. Interestingly I was unable to verify my credentials and could never actually set up a mail account in thunderbird. What I found significant about this was when thunderbird tried to probe the server for the correct information it would immediately stop after hitting test. I would hit test and I would receive an immediate rejection saying a connection could not be made. Now I've set up my fair share of email accounts and usually probing the server should take at least 5- 20 seconds. The instant rejection has me thinking that there's a security setting somewhere in the Mac that is denying connections to unknown/untrusted domains. And it's causing issues when I try to send out. And re-connect to the server.
    Question:
    Any ideas?

Who is the e-mail provider and is the account(s) IMAP or POP?

  • How to setup Mobile Access Server

    Hi,
I am trying to setup Mobile Access Server on my Mac Mini Server. The setup I have is a small network behind a Airport Extreme. I would like to give all users access to services using Mobile Access Server and was hoping initial setup was going to take care of that....no such luck.
What do I fill in for the local servers? How do I access this service from the outside the lan? How do I need to configure my Airport (with the other services, it happened almost automatically from the security pane).
    Thanks,
    Ian

    Hi,
In the field for local server you just type in the local dns name for your calendar server, mail server etc... Also select which port you want publish externally and the the correct port your service is actually using on your lan (Selected under advanced tab). Make sure your mobile access server can resolv your hostnames correctly. It should point to an local ip. If an nslookup shows your public ip, you have to correct your local dns server (This is often called split dns configuration.)
To access this from outside your LAN you have setup NAT and permit the port you have configure your mobile access server to be the incomming port. How exactly you do that on the airport I am not sure, but I am sure it is explained in the user manual for the airport.
I found this video about the mobile access server on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VRgl2bncZU
    Hope this helps.

  • Using External Library in Mobile Web Dynpro Offline

    Hi all,
i would like to use a jar in a Mobile Application for Handheld and i followed the steps from the wiki "Using External Library in Mobile Web Dynpro Offline" at

    >How to use External Library in Mobile Web Dynpro Offline
    >For using external jar in local deployment scenario, one can do following:
    >1. In the dc where jar has to be used, add the jar as external jar classpath entry. It can be done via <dc> > (Right-click)> properties->Java Build Path->Select "add external jar".
    >2. Do the programming using the jar.
    >3. Shut down the mobile client.
    >4. Copy the jar in the "lib" folder of mobile client installation.
    >5. Deploy the application in the IDE.

    Hi,
    1) in Development Infrastructure Perspective -> rightklick in Navigator/Projekt Explorer  -> new Project  -> (Development Infrastructure)  Development Component (DC).
NWDS generates Project Ressources e.g. the folder "libraries"
    2) copy the jars to the "libraries" folder.
    3) rightklick on the newly created Development Component (DC) ->  Development Component -> Show In ->  Development Properties -> go to the Tab "Public Parts",
in -> "Defined Public Parts" -> klick on Button "Add" -> give a name for "Public Part" -> at "Purpose" select "Compilation" -> Finish.
rightklick on the newly created Public Parts -> select  "Manage Entities" and select the jars you want to use -> Next -> Finish.
    4) switch to the Mobile Apps for Handhelds Perspective ->  in Development Component  select e.g. the Service Component or the UI Component ->
rightklick ->  Development Component -> Show In ->  Development Properties -> got to Tab "Dependencies" -> klick on Button "Add"  -> under the Node MyComponents -> select the newly created Development Component with the Public Parts/jars (that was created in 1 - 3).
thats all, now you can deploy your application

  • HT2623 smtp server offline-please advise

icloud server offline, cannot send email from mac, will not allow me to change settings because incoming mail server field will not allow text to be entered

You should confirm that your incoming (IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) servers are set up as detailed in this page:

There will usually be a 'pxx' number stuck on the front and you can ignore that. Please also always post your system when you have a qur=ery as it can make a considerable difference to the answer.

  • How to close Mobile Mouse Server?

I was doing an update on the App Mobile Mouse Server and when it weas ready to install it indicated I needed to close the App before it could install the update.  The app is not in the dock and I don't know how to close it.  Help Please!!!

    Hi,
In the field for local server you just type in the local dns name for your calendar server, mail server etc...
    Bernt
