Mobile Me snyc I don't understand basics I guess

I sync my mail via mobile me. If I touch mail>accounts>mobileme I see "inbox/Drafts/Sent/Trash", then several folders.
Now the folders correspond to my the mobileme mail I have on my macbook.
However, drafts (which is nr.2 from above) and sent (nr. 3) do not sync with my computer.
They have messages that do not appear anywhere else.
Also, note on my touch doesn't correspond to note on my mail programm on my macbook.
How do I sync EVERYTHING to mobileme, so the touch/mobileme/macbook are in sync?

  • I can't don't understand code in netbean and it's about Jframe.

    i use netbean to design 2 jframe with some buttons on both frame.
    frame1 is login form, frame2 is mainform. i want to show loginform then click the button1 to show 2nd jframe.
    then i click exit on 2nd jframe and it come back to loginform(frame1).
    i do alot of search on the google and here. i know the basic to show a jframe using
    setVisible or .show() .hide(), etc..
    the problem is what is my jframe variable name in netbean?
    i know i can create an jframe object
    such as: JFrame frame1 = new JFrame(); etc.. (it's ok if the syntax is wrong for now).
    When i use netbean, i drag the Gui components to the Jframe. The jframe is generated by netbean automatically.
    When the main program runs, it calls main() method, follow by :

    i tried hand-written code, and it looks just fine when design few buttons, labels and textfields.
    The adjustment of buttons(labels) are not that good on the frame.
    However, when you use IDE, you can drag the button on any spot you like in the jframe.... and in the process not learn how Swing works, and lose flexibility and power. Sorry to sound conceited, but I'll match any of your netbeans-created GUI's with one of my own, and mine will likely be better -- and I'm not all that good at this just yet.

  • Don't understand Verizon policy from a business point of view

    I have a basic 2 line account with Verizon ( no smartphones) which I have had for years. I have had contracts renewed over and over when the contract expired. Now I am looking to upgrade to 2 smartphone plans but have 3 months left under my current contract. I was told I wasn't allowed to renew the contract while an existing contract is in place ( not even if the new plan is a larger plan) I did have the option to use EDGE to pay 20 per month for each phone, I thought it would be 20 per month until the old contract is up, kind of like a pro rate type of deal. But No, I had to pay 20 per month until the full 800 is paid in full..........but if I wait 3 months until my contract is up I can get the phones for nothing.
    So, I 'll wait 3 months, but in the meantime you can bet I will check out other carriers and see what they have to offer. I just don't understand why Verizon would risk losing a customer or customers over 3 months even if the customer wants to lock themselves in with a larger plan that only has 3 months to go on the older contract. Kind of like sports free agency, lock them in while you can, especially when it is benefitting the company in the long run.

    What??? You have only 3 monthly payments left on your CURRENT car and you trade it in for a NEW car. You think if you make 3 payments after getting the NEW car it would be paid off in full???     Funny, I've never seen a car dealership offer financing for new cars with a 3 month payback option. They are normally 36, 48, 60 and 72 months to pay off the financing. Never seen a 3 month financing deal. THOSE must be some pretty SUBSTANTIAL payments. Learn something new every day.

    The instructions said "Write a procedure that will retrieve an
    existing record in Enrollment usiing the student and section Ids
    and set the grade to a specified value. (use update instead of

    I am afraid that the
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN

    was my fault. I had intended it as an example to provide only
    minimal syntax where no exception handling whatsoever previously
    existed. Beau is a student and I am trying to guide him in the
    right direction without just writing all of it for him. In
    fact, I am afraid I may have already provided too much code
    without sufficient explanation. For you and others who may wish
    to help, here are the e-mails that provide the background on how
    we got to this point, with the most recent on top, starting with
    the last resonse I sent to him:
    Things that are wrong:
    The instructions say to be sure to use the sequence number for
    the student's ID, so you should not have p_stuID as an input
    parameter. Instead you should create a variable and select the
    student_seq.nextval into the variable from the dual table and
    use that value to populate the stuid column.
    Your input parameters should only have the variable type, not
    the size, so just use varchar2 and number.
    The check constraints only belong in the script that is used to
    create the table, not in your procedure with your input
    parameters, so remove them from the procedure.
    The order and number of your columns you are inserting into and
    values you are inserting must match, so if you insert into fname
    then lname, you need to insert the values p_fname then p_lname.
    You must either have first name then last name in both or last
    name then first name in both, not one way in one and the other
    way in the other.
    The idea is that when you execute the procedure you specify the
    values of the input parameter variable, then use those input
    parameter variables to insert the values into the table. You
    should not be specifying any specific values anywhere in your
    procedure. In other words don't insert 'HEATHER', instead
    insert fname, and so on.
    You should only have one insert statement. Each time the
    procedure is executed, a different set of values will be
    provided, and the same insert statement will be used.
    Additional suggestions:
    Although it is not required, since IN is the default, it is
    generally considered to be a good programming practice to use IN
    with your input parameters. It just makes the code easier to
    read and understand. As you write other code, you will learn to
    use OUT for output parameters and IN OUT for parameters that are
    both input and output parameters.
    It is generally recommended to store all data in upper case,
    that is capital letters, so that it is easier to index and
    search and avoid duplicates and so on. In order to ensure that
    your data is input in upper case, it is a good idea to use the
    UPPER function.
    Different programmers and companies have different standards
    that they use for capitalization, indentation, spacing,
    alignment, and so forth to make their code uniform and easier to
    read. You may want to look at some various styles and see what
    you like or ask what your instructor recommends.
    You should add some sort of exception handling section. For
    example, if someone attempts to insert a value for standing that
    isn't acceptable, then the procedure will fail due to the
    constraints and the student will not be added. You probably
    want to display some sort of message to the user. You might
    also want to display a message if the input is successful.
    When you attempt to compile your program and you receive a
    message that says "Warning: Procedure created with compilation
    errors." or some such thing, then from the SQL> prompt, type
    SHOW ERRORS and it will list the error message number, a brief
    description of the problem, and the line of code that the
    problem occurred on. You can then type LIST and it will list
    the code with line numbers, so that you can tell what line
    number the error message is referring to.
    In the following example, I have fixed the things that were
    wrong, formatted it the way I usually do, and added minimal
    exception handling and messages. There is a lot more that you
    could do. I have also demonstrated how the program can be
    tested and the results of proper input and improper input. In
    the example below, two students are added correctly, then an
    attempt to add another fails because the standing is not valid
    and violates a check constraint, because graduate is not
    acceptable. After each execution of the procedure, I have
    queried the table, so that you can see what was added and what
    was not.

    1. your system will often need to create a new student. Write
    PL/SQL code for an object named AddStudent that will take values
    for first and last name, major, standing and GPA and add a new
    record in the Student table. Since advisors aren't assigned at
    registration time, we'll add their advisor at a later date.
    Don't worry about the student's address. Be sure to use the
    sequence number for the student's ID.
    2. Write a procedure that will retrieve an existing record in
    Enrollment usiing the student and section Ids and set the grade

  • Xorg.conf somethings I don't understand yet

    Background:
    I'm pretty much a total noob when it comes to linux. I've been a dos/windows user/tech for more then 15 years and I've finally decided I wanted to learn linux.
    So I setup a teamspeak server(Linux Talk) on my windows machine and have been using a kvm to learn linux on another. Pudge has been a great help  coming on the teamspeak server and chatting with me and others.
    Today:
    So today I decided to try reinstalling Arch without any help. And So far I've done fairly well I managed to get it updated and get into gnome. However I've run into some things in the xorg.conf that while I was able to get around, i really didn't understand them. I tried search the forum and wiki, but it didn't help.
    What I did:
    I used xorg -configure and it generated the xorg.conf.new file and properly detected my monitor, I copied and renamed it as it should be, but it didn't work. I would recieve out of range. So I commented out the refresh lines (like it said to do) so that it would use ddc, that didn't work either agian I recieved the out of range message on my monitor again. So I put in manual refresh rates that I knew would work and they did.
    The part where I got confused:
    What I don't understand is when it properly detected and identified the monitor, how come that didn't work ? And how come using the ddc method didn't work.
    I know i'm not filling in all the blanks with specific numbers and hardware details, I'm not looking for a how to for my specific setup, just trying to understand the basic process and why it didn't work even though it detected everything properly.

    Anymore you might be able to get away with not specifying sync ranges for your monitor... it seems I broke my site, so I will post a link to my xorg.conf url soon.

    Take two steps back.
    Buy a book on basic Java Programming. You need to understand the concepts behind programming before you should start reading the API.
    But kudos for at least trying to read the API.

    and then the link titled [url http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/index.html]The Java Tutorial (Java Series).

    Then once you have been through all of that, come back and ask for clarification
    on any specific points that you have trouble understanding.
    Finally (Because the Finally always gets executed) Try taking a class in java programming.

    How can you NOT make it backwards compatible!  I prefer not to install the latest IOS (as we've seen what happens, with the last IOS update)  before I am comfortable with the update. This is irresponsible and not customer friendly.  Basically I am S.O.L. if I have an older iPhone or iPad.  Thanks for being so customer friendly.

    So I went to login to iCloud (on my PC) and I was forced to update to a different version of iCloud that would no longer allow any devices below IOS 8 access to the Pages area.  I just don't understand why thy (Apple developers) cannot make it backwards compatible. 

  • Why is Palm support so clueless? Don't understand what a Touchstone cover is for the Pixi.

    So I have a Touchstone Pixi back cover that the metal sliver has fallen off to keep the usb flap closed. After mutliple crazy glue episodes, it finally fell off, and I can't find it. So I call Palm and get their ESL reps (no slur intended, just the nature of the frustration). So it's bad enough they a) don't know the products and b) don't understand conversational english very well, but I get disconnected twice and their callbacks gave me nothing but dead air. So after going through the third person, I gave up. I then try chat. Things seemed to go better. The guy finally seemed to understand my problem. Says they'll send me a new cover. To my surprise I get a fed ex today  with the new cover. Open it up, and it's the basic cover, not the touchstone cover. Now I'm just peeved. So safe to say they got a bunch of very bad support surveys and now I can't even get their online chat up. I've probably wasted about two hours between the phone and chat trying to get this fixed.
    When their phone reps don't understand I'm talking about the back cover to the Pixi and tell me to  stop calling it a touchstone cover when the word is used in the description of the cover, I just don't know what to do.Why is it the tech support questions seem to go to English first speaking people who have no problem understanding what you're saying and know the products, but other support gets a foreign language first person who only knows what pops up on their screen.
    At least now I know I don't have to send back my defective cover and can just cut the flap off until they rectify the problem and send me the correct one.
    Let's hope HP can improve some of the internal workings as well. Though it won't matter in a month or so as I'll be picking up the Evo. Wish I could use my Pixi as a wifi device, but Palm screwed that one up too. It's a travesty that Sprint users can't get a Plus version by now. They should've stopped making the regular versions the minute they started production on the two Plus versions. But that's another gripe entirely.

    appreciate the post. I think my scathing survey sped up the corporate phone call proceess as I got a phone call from a very nice support person. He was more than helpful and apologetic, and I wouldn't be surprised if the touchstone cover is on my doorstep when I get home. It'll collect dust for awhile as I'm playing with a Pre for a bit. I do realize why I returned my launch day Pre.Man that keyboard makes my fingers hurt.
    looking forward to some new updates soon though. Will be fun to do a comparison against the Evo next month. See how well HTC polished up 2.1.

  • HT4847 Don't understand the purpose of icloud storage

    Maybe I'm alone on this one, but even after reading Apple's articles on iCloud and iCloud storage, I don't understand the purpose of it.  I am only using 23.5 of a 25 Go storage (all of it is backup of all my apps and files (not sure the movies and music is covered even though the iPad general setting info implies this since I'm in Europe) and yet, if I delete the app files from the iPad, I also delete them from the cloud.  So for instance, I want to update to the latest iOS and it says I'm short 312 Mo and need to delete stuff from the iPad. 
    If I understand correctly, the only way to do this safely is to make sure a duplicate is on my PC via iTunes. So then what do I need the iCloud extra storage for (for which I am paying)?  Is this like a SkyDrive or Dropbox or not???
    Please someone clear this up in simple, step-by-step type language.  I feel like I'm getting a round around when I read or take to Apple folks via email.  Thanks in advance!

    Movies, music and apps are not part of your back ups, they are all available already on Apples servers as part of the iTunes Store. Backups consist of settings, photos and other data which cannot be obtained from elsewhere.
    iCloud is not general online storage like Dropbox, in addition to back ups it keeps all your app data from apps such as contacts, calendars etc so it can be accessed by all your devices and keep them in sync. But in keeping with the mobile system structure the data is accessed through the app rather than a folder structure.

    Well as far as I can tell the only developed alternative to Apple is Microsoft, sure you want to go there?
    iCloud (and Mobile Me before it) are consumer level systems, working correctly they are a poor choice for business use, if you want to stay all Mac try Zimbra if you can let a little Microsoft in the mix use Microsoft Exchange (Mail, iCal & Address Book are compatible as clients), hosted Exchange systems cost about $10 per month.
    Or try to fix what is wrong with your installation (which is clearly not running as it should)

    Then it wants you to go to Ctrl+Click on the path, add a few new points, and drag them around to warp the path but I cannot warp it like in the tutorial. I just get some random shapes and inversion of foreground color and white.
    How do I do step 2?

    Those are basic path adjustments. With the pen tool selected, you Ctrl+click on the path to make sure it's selected and then click on the path a couple of times with the Pen tool to add some anchor points which you then modify

    OK and when I run desktop manager then what do I do?  There are no instructions after this setup with my mobile carrier, they just leave me hanging.  Also, is my phone going to be wiped or will it just update the OS?  I don't want to lose all my settings that took me hours to setup on this thing and have to redo everything all over again.  Backup?  I don't understand how to do that either (again all of this is new to me).  I don't have a second phone where I can call T-Mobile on the phone and have them walk me through it, I only have my cell that's it.  They refuse to give me instructions unless I'm on another phone when I call them, why they won't let me write them down is beyond me...these carriers are getting mighty picky these days on customer service/technical support.

    T-Mobile finally released the 4.5 version of the BlackBerry software but I don't understand how to update my phone's OS.  Their instructions are extremely confusing (leaving out information) and I'm just not sure how to do this.  All I want to do is update the OS, I don't want to delete anything from the phone.
    Their instructions say to download the file from their website to update but they fail to tell you when to connect you phone (hey I'm a new user of these phones) so the **bleep** software installs on my pc!  I'm like wtf???  Then on further down their instruction page they tell you to put a check mark in back up my settings but leave the checkmarks below that for delete apps, etc unchecked...yet I can't uncheck them, there are checkmarks in them already and the boxes are greyed out and I can't remove the checkmarks.
    I just don't know what to do, I do not want to have to sit here for hours resetting up my phone all over again (it's really a pain in the ass)!  Isn't there a way to just update the OS on the phone without deleting anything from the phone?  If not f this then!

    I don't understand how to get Itunes to play my playlists on my home computer. I select the playlist, press the play button and either nothing happens or it may play the first selection in the playlist then stop. When I try to skip a song, it just stops as well. Is there some setting I need to have to simply play a playlist on my home computer. The playlists work fine on my Ipod. I don't get it. Please help.

    Ya, the checkboxes are there to basically let iTunes know, yes, you can play me automatically. If they are unchecked, they don't get played (unless you specifically pick to play them) and if there are NO checked songs in a playlist, after it finishes the current song, finds nothing checked, so doesn't play anything else.
