Mobile Phone Group Calling

Hey guys,
I am planning to call 25 coworkers mobile phones with skype. The thing is they won't be answering me, they will simply wake up and ignore the call. The purpose is to wake them up.
My question is, will i be using any credit for this service? I couldn't find any lead in the forums.
Thanks in advance!

There is one thing that was not said explicitly - there will no Skype charges to the caller for Skype To Skype calls among the group... see link below.
https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA3681/how-do-i-make-free-voice-and-video-calls-on-skype-for-window...
However, everyone in the group using their mobile data plan will pay for the data usage.  This will apply to both the caller and the called.
Hope that helps.

  • Skype phone group calls

We have a need to give our users the ability to place a group call using Skype phones.  Is this possible to do?  We can see all the individual contacts of the signed in user but groups are not listed.  Is this something that could be added to the Skype phone?

Yeah, that's what we've discovered as well.  The workaround we have come up with is for the group leader to initiate the call from their PC.  The group they call includes our users on their Skype phones.  This works but is a bit clunky.  It would be great if the group call feature were implemented on Skype phones in a future release or update.
    Thanks for the quick response!

  • Unified Mobility, no audio on Send call to Mobile Phone

I'm using UCM 9.1 with Unified Mobility (xfer to alternate number) with good success if I follow a typical call flow:
Inbound call -> Ext -> Rings deskphone x seconds -> Rings mobile phone -> Answer mobile phone -> hangup -> Resume call on desk phone.
But if I pick up a call on my desk phone, and use the Mobility button to xfer a call to my mobile phone I get no audio:
Inbound call -> Ext -> Pickup desk phone -> Mobility soft button, 'Send call to Mobile Phone' -> Answer mobile phone, no audio -> Hang up mobile phone -> Resume call on desk phone (two-way audio).
Device wise the call flow is:
ITSP SIP trunk -> CUBE -> CUCM -> 7965 IP Phone.
Recently I reconfigured CUCM to use the CUBE for any MTP resources instead of the software option and I think I may have missed something.
    CUBE config:
    voice-card 0 dspfarm dsp services dspfarm!!!voice service voip ip address trusted list  ipv4 173.46.30.218  ipv4 173.46.30.202  ipv4 10.0.6.30  ipv4 10.0.6.31  ipv4 10.0.6.33  ipv4 10.0.6.32  ipv4 10.1.1.4  ipv4 10.0.250.0 255.255.255.0 mode border-element allow-connections h323 to h323 allow-connections h323 to sip allow-connections sip to h323 allow-connections sip to sip redirect ip2ip fax protocol t38 version 0 ls-redundancy 0 hs-redundancy 0 fallback none sip  midcall-signaling passthru media-change  early-offer forced  no call service stop  registration passthrough!voice class codec 1 codec preference 1 g711ulawsccp local GigabitEthernet0/0.42sccp ccm 10.0.6.30 identifier 1 version 7.0 sccp!sccp ccm group 1 bind interface GigabitEthernet0/0.42 associate ccm 1 priority 1 associate profile 1 register MTP_2951-01!dspfarm profile 2 transcode universal  codec pass-through codec g711ulaw codec g711alaw codec g729ar8 codec g729abr8 maximum sessions 11 associate application SCCP shutdown!dspfarm profile 3 conference  codec g711ulaw codec g711alaw codec g729ar8 codec g729abr8 codec g729r8 codec g729br8 maximum sessions 2 associate application SCCP!dspfarm profile 1 mtp  codec pass-through codec g711ulaw maximum sessions hardware 15 associate application SCCP!
In CUCM I removed the software MTP from the MRG:
Not sure where to start troubleshooting this problem, any help is appreciated.
    Steve

Thanks for the help gents. I couldn't get to this until we're out of office hours on the weekend.
Interestingly, I have no mid-call option in my dial-peers. This is a 2951 running 15.2(4)M2.
I double checked the MRGL, my phone is associated with it.
Codec is G711 on ITSP side, and on phones - I'm not sure I fully understand the use cases for MTP, this is something I need to research more.
I've included two ccsip message debugs, the first one is the existing issue of no audio (in either direction).
The second I've changed the midcall-signaling passthru option, dropping the media-change bit and we get audio in both directions for mobility except we use Unity call handlers for IVR functionality, and now when an inbound caller is forwarded to an extension we get no audio - obviously this is a game stopper.
In Unity I have the port group configured as SCCP - Maybe I should be using SIP instead?
    No Audio:
    voice service voip
    sip
      midcall-signaling passthru media-change
      early-offer forced
      no call service stop
      registration passthrough

  • How to connect PC to a mobile phone to make a call.

    Hi all,
I want my PC to control the mobile phone (its a CDMA phone). I want to connect the phone with my PC through some cable, then I want to control the phone using the program running on my PC.
Like, I want my program running on PC to make calls through the mobile phones.
Does anyone have any idea that how can I do it, what API should I use, any sample code or example.
    Thanks.

Except TextNow is another Voip service. Just like Skype, Viber, etc. It may be a good Voip product but it doesn't use the mobile cellular network which is what the OP was interested in.
    http://support.textnow.com/entries/20588531-What-is-the-Difference-between-A-Tex tNow-Phone-Number-and-TextNow-Address-
Many iPad models now have exactly the same hardware as iPhones and should be completely capable of making and receiving calls and texts using a cellular network. Yet they cannot, because Apple limits this functionality through the ios.

  • International Call to a Mobile Phone

I just purchased a monthly subscription to S. Korea.  Can I call their mobile phone for free and can they also call me back for free?  I am using my laptop and he is using his mobile phone in S. Korea.

There are two monthly subscriptions landlines, and landlines and mobiles which one did you choose? If you chose the mobile you can call his mobile until your minutes run out. He should receive the call for free as is the case in most of the countries I have been to except the US. He cannot call you back for free. If he uses a Skype app on his phone and is on wifi he can call you skype to skype.  If he downloads skype on his computer you can talk skype to skype for free.
If you found a post useful, please give Kudos. If it helped to fix your issue, mark it as a solution to help others.
    Thank You!

  • Quiet down OSX when receiving/making a call on mobile phone

    Hi everyone,
I want to write an application in JAVA which will quiet down the system volume when I am either receiving or making a call on my Nokia E66 mobile phone.
Where can I read up on what I have to do to get my mobile phone to broadcast that information to my Mac?
    Hints and Tips are appreciated,
    DodoFXP

I've used an application named 'Romeo' that works via Bluetooth to allow the type of interaction you describe.
No idea how it works under the hood, other than the obvious, but it may help with examples, etc.

  • Iphone3G Cannot Hear the Caller... Even the Mobile Phone Cannot Fix it...

Hi everyone! I cannot hear the callar in my Iphone 3G 8GB ... I put it to the mobile phone shop to repair... but even they installed the new little voice speaker (in the top of the iphone)... the iphone still does not have any voice from the caller... if I turn the speaker on... it does have voice and it is very loud and clear...
Anyone knows what is wrong with my iphone? I went to a shop in Berlin before and they fixed it right away... but in the mobile phone shop in liverpool... they cannot fix it...
    Thanks a lot!
    Hopelessness.

I went to a shop in Berlin before and they fixed it right away... but in the mobile phone shop in liverpool... they cannot fix it...
If the shop in Berlin really fixed it, why does it need to be fixed again?

  • New line only for to call mobiles phones

    Hi to all,
I have one UC320W device on a customer, they have three FXO lines connected on the device. They want to connect one line more to call anly mobiles phones...
They to call anywhere are using the 0 digit and the UC320W assigns a FXO line to this user. In Spain the fixed telephony begins by 9 and the mobile telephony begins by 6. Can I to assign the new line when the user press the 06........????
I have seen in the device that the number buttons can be assigned for some purposes (to external calls, to voice mail, etc..) Can I to assign two or more purposes on one key????
    Thanks!!

I've the same problem. My customer has an uc320 with two fixed fxo lines and two lines for mobile. The only way i've found to select the fxo line for mobile calls is by sharing the fxo.
But this is not the solution,
Cisco, dont you have any way (keying number 6, for example,..) for selecting an output fxo line. Can you modify the firmware to allow the uc320 to select the fxo line for doing a mobile to mobile call.
Please, we need a solution !!!
My customer is getting very very very ... better not to say
Waiting for hear from you soon

  • Calling skype to a mobile phone outside the origin...

I have a portuguese phone and I am abroad - in Andorra.
If someone calls me from skype, which rate will be applied? From Portugal to Andorra, or From Portugal to Portugal?
And what about my Mobile Phone, will I have to support roaming costs?
    Thank you.
    M
Calling skype to a mobile phone outside the original country

your partner's mobile is registered in the UK
calls forwarded from Skype to that UK number are covered (as you know)
as is, forwarded calls would still be going to the UK number, and he would pay roaming charges from his mobile carrier for the priviledge of answering these calls while abroad (iow, has nothing to do with Skype)
if he got a local SIM for his mobile phone while abroad, then Skype could be forwarded to that number for free if he added a Skype subscription that covers SkypeOut calls to the number associated with that local SIM (in your example this would be Unlimited US/Canada sub)

    Neil

    Hi Narayana,
According to your description, my understanding is that the person or group column retrieved an empty value for Mobile phone in SharePoint 2010.
Please go to the hidden User Information List using
http://<SiteCollectionUrl>/_catalogs/users/detail.aspx , check the value of Mobile phone.
Please go to CA->Monitoring->Review job definitions, scroll to User Profile to SharePoint Full Synchronization
    and
User Profile to SharePoint Quick Synchronization, make sure they work well.
In addition, please take a look at :
    http://donalconlon.wordpress.com/2012/03/02/sharepoint-user-information-list-is-not-being-updated/
    I hope this helps.
