Mobile PO / PR Releases

I am trying to find the best solution for a client of mine to approve / reject / release PR's and PO's - I have identified 4 options, but would like advice as to which is the best way to go, if any...
1. www.go3i.com
2. www.10secondssoftware.com
3. SAP MI
4 .Custom interface development (similar to the second option)
With regards to SAP MI - does it come standard with applications for PO and PR release? Are there licensing implications with MI, or does it come standard with Netweaver?
It would be nice to find out the pro's and con's of each option...
The option chosen should preferably be capable of supporting any PDA or smartphone. We can assume the any mobile device used will have a web browser.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I have to mark this post as "answered" because of the limitation of open questions on this forum...

I don't see why not - there are probably several possibilities, both standard and third party, depending on your SAP release + available config and technical skills. For example have a look at the SAPconnect info at

• 4/14/2015 - Release - AIR 17 Runtime and SDK

Today we're pleased to announce that the next version of AIR is available for immediate download. AIR 17 adds both new features and important bug fixes for both desktop and mobile platforms!
Below are some of the key features and benefits of AIR 17. Please see our release notes for full details.
New Features:
ADT Packaging time Improvement with Support for Parallel Compilation for iOS
AIR 16 introduced support for compilation and packaging of iOS applications for both 32 bit and 64 bit platforms. With this improvement, we can now compile 32 and 64 bit architecture in parallel to cut packaging times up to 50 percent.
Stage3D - Standard Extended Profile for Mobile
In recent releases of the Runtime we've added support for Standard and Standard Constrained Stage3D profiles. With AIR 17 we're adding a new Standard Extended Profile for iOS and Android devices that support GLES3. Availability of the “standardExtended" profile indicates the availability of AGAL3. The same profile name can then be used in requestContext3D and requestContext3DMatchingProfiles methods of Stage3D.
The “standardExtended” profile requires OpenGL ES 3.0 which is present on many high end smartphones and tablets. AGAL3 increases register limits for vertex attributes, fragment constants and tokens. While we're focusing on mobile first, we anticipate bringing this functionality to the desktop in a future update.
To assemble the new AGAL, update AGALMiniAssembler.as (AGAL v3) from https://github.com/adobe-flash/graphicscorelib/.
VideoTexture Support in AIR for Windows, Mac and iOS
We've introduced a new ActionScript feature that allows hardware accelerated video to be used as a source texture in a Stage3D environment. Currently, using video with Stage3D requires the use of the Video object, which is not accelerated, and manipulation of the bitmap representations of the video frames. This new feature, called VideoTexture, allows direct access to a texture object that is sourced from a Netstream or Camera object. As of the first Flash Player 17 this feature is back and now available on AIR Mac, Windows and iOS. Look for Android support in an upcoming release. Please see the VideoTexture blog post for implementation details.
Fixed Issues:
[iPhone 6 +] if Landscape image is not provided for iphone 6+, Stretched Portrait launch image is displayed when application is launched in landscape mode. (3945056)
[iPhone 6+][Upside down]: Inverted launch image is displayed, if device is kept at upsidedown position and AO is portrait and AR true. (3945046)
Stage alignment get distorted on returning back from Camera UI. (3946793)
App crashes on launch, when Permit debugging option is UNTICKED in Flash CC. ( Bug 3949916)
Non-compliant handling of orientation in iOS 8 root view controller. (Bug 3942292)
Mod (%) operator broken in interpreter mode for iOS 64 bit ( Bug 3951944)
[Air Desktop] Create VideoTexture when application window is not active cause video not render but sound playback (3939033)
Multiple security and functional fixes
Known Issues:

Keyboard Orientation did not changed from Portrait to landscape after setting stage aspect ratio to landscape and the text area moves upwards.(3948135)
Texture format mismatch" while uploading BitmapData to a Texture on Samsung Galaxy Tab (Bug 3959595)

ld error “ld: in , unsupported address encoding (13) of personality function in CIE for architecture arm64Compilation failed while executing : ld64" on packaging with WIN SDK. (Bug 3950027)

Sometimes the release version has a later build number than the last beta we received, which in a way can be even worse than if the build is the same. The thing that has caused some confusion is that a few posts here have been answered with "we've fixed that and it will be in the next build", and the next build turned out to be the same as the previous build.
So, I think the truth is that those things are fixed in the next build that appears on labs, and the release one doesn't count as a new beta build. I don't know when the next labs build will be.

Hi Jessica,
On the iOS mobile app, communities with sub-communities are identified by a blue arrow next to the community. If you tap on the community name you will be taken to the community, if you tap on the blue arrow you will be taken to the sub-communities within that parent community. For Android tapping on the arrow next to the community name will expand that community to show any sub-communities underneath it. I hope this helps.

• Nokia can't release fw 40 for all device!nokia bra...

Hi, i have Nokia 5800 device but is a brand Tim and my last firmware version is 30.0.011, this version it's full of bug and telco tim (telecom italia mobile )don't release new version 31 or 40 and i can't install ovi free maps because required fw version 31!
I buy a nokia telephone or a tim telephone????
nokia can't give the same support for all nokia telephone???
I'm very angry for this nokia politic isn't good!
Message Edited by mario5588 on 03-Feb-2010 11:06 AM

I bought it from o2 but without contract, thus i payed the same price as i would if i bought directly from nokia. Additionally, its Nokia who has to fix that, not Telco!
Guarantee is provided by the manufacturer ONLY. Warranty is provided by the dealer ONLY. If your dealer rejects providing warranty (eg. not publishing updated firmware) you have the right to get guarantee.
My provider here is o2 and cause of this topic i called them and asked why their latest firmware is still 11.0.021 while current official is 21.0.045. They told me that the o2 services would not run with the official firmware (ROFL) thus they release updates after 1 year !!! That means o2 N97 users are getting 21.0.045 at 02.02.2011.
BUT
After i told them that all o2 services are running well with the official firmware and that they should release updates faster for Nokia phones (because they're containing the most bugs compared to other manufacturers) they told me to write a letter (or fax) to them explaining the facts again so they can "debrand" my phone officially.
So, i would write a fax to TIM and tell to release the latest update. If they don't agree i would tell them to debrand your phone. If they still disagree i would force an law issue against them.

• Installing the Mobile Client

Hello,
I am following the document Oracle® Database Mobile Server Mobile Client Guide Release 11.1.0.
My client platform happens to be Blackberry RIM 5.0.
http://<mobile_server>:<port>/mobile/setup
takes me to the setup page in the Blackberry Simulator browser. Language = English . Platform = Blackberry
But on clicking SQLite Blackberry, what is the next step to install the Mobile Client on Blackberry? There is no setup.exe for SQLite Blackberry. How do I know that the Mobile Client is installed on Blackberry?
Please Help

Mike, thanks for the very quick response. Not being able to use the MDW and the Mobile Client on the same platform would have been a show-stopper for us. So, just to be clear, I can use the MDW on my Windows 7 desktop, and use my Windows 7 laptop as the mobile device.

Hi All,
I was told on this board that a new version of the WAAS Mobile client would be released in the first week of April '10. New version would be compatible with Vista & Win7 both 32 & 64 bit versions.

The chap from Cisco that responded was, I think, Ken - as I say, cant find the original post..
thanks!

The WAAS Mobile 3.5 release is in its final stages and is targeted for release by the end of April (this week!).

• T Mobile iPhone 6 iOS 8.3 MMS configuration on Straight Talk

Good Day All!
I have a bit of a dilemma.
I purchased an iPhone 6 from T Mobile upon its release.
iOS 8.3
I own it.
I was a Straight Talk customer before T Mobile and went back now that my phone is unlocked.
APN is updated and I am able to access internet with no issues.
I need THE MOST RECENT MMS CONFIGURATION/SETTINGS FOR THIS PHONE
I've tried all the links this board has to offer.
PLEASE HELP!!!
THANKS

This is what worked for me after digging a little bit deeper.
Manual APN configuration.
If you do this you DO NOT need to install the APN SETTINGS as instructed by the Straight Talk Website.
Put in the SIM card and follow the instructions bellow.
It is from 2013 but works nonetheles.
Thanks SeanPatrick83

Re: mms on iphone 4s with straighttalkin response to Brinkmac
I figured out how to get the mms settings to work on Straight Talk using a Tmobile Compatible SIM from straighttalk.com without having to swap it out. I just cut the SIM card with a sim cutter that cost me about 5 bucks on Amazon and put it in the unlocked iPhone 4S and now I have 3G service without needing an AT&T compatible sim. I figured I could live with a Tmobile compatible SIM since straighttalk.com and Walmart.com were sold out of the AT&T micro sims. However if you don't have an unlocked iphone you could still use these mms settings with an AT&T compatible sim, that is if you can find one.

Easy on the fat women there, Hombre....
As far as Firefox Mobile blows other browsers away, well I believe that this statement is half-correct. You figure out which half I'm referring to....
If they get it working properly, it will indeed be a serious contender for the mobile browser award (Oh, and what a nobel
award, it is, eh?...) I've tried three of the most recent releases of Firefox mobile and at first, it appears very promising. Very cool-looking, lots of "wow" features, and this last release was the best by far so far. But....
After several minutes, it hung up. It would un-freeze and kind of clear itself. Then I'd try sometihng else with it and it would freeze again. Naturally, this latest release wan't as bad as the previous 2 about this behavoir. After a half-hour of this, I un-installed it and went back to XScope, which a very good and seemingly not-well-known Android mobile browser.
I allowed Firefox to sync with my main notebook and man, what a mess that was. A virtual link explosion. Links everywhere. More than I needed on my mobile phone. Still, a cool feature, no doubt.
In reality, the hacking issues aren't that great with mobile browsers (YET - There, I said it, okay??)
I will continue to try the subsequent releases of Firefox mobile in hopes that it becomes the browser that it certainly is capable of being. It's just there yet.
And keep in mind, not all browsers fit all people. I can't figure out for the life of me why some people like the Safari browser, but I don't think Safari sucks. It's just not for me.
