Which app are you using from your phone?
Whats the paper size you are setting?
Whats the Orientation used by you?

  • Newsletter Issue - 11x17 2 page layout problem

I am doing a 9 page layout. I want it to print on 11x17 (tabloid) paper to reduce the costs. So that's 2 11x17 double-sided and 1-LETTER size double sided pull out.
    The 9th page is a application & evaluation (pull-out).
I am having trouble finding the 11x17 size on the page set-up. Than once I get it all ready, I send it as a pdf to a copy center via email. So I need your help!

    Hi!
You can use a custom page size.
You have to set it up in the page-format-dialogue in the inspector/document.
Choose format and the then go to paper-format. Choose "custom" at the bottom of the list. You get a dialogue where you can define your own page-format. Click on the "+" set the page-size you want and define your borders. give it a name by doubleclicking the "unnamed" list-entry. Click okay.
Your custom format now shows up on the lower part of the list.
(The names can differ for i use a non-english system)
If the custom borders accord to the minimal technical borders of your printer you can insert paper of the specified size and print.
I used this for booklet 21*21 cm and it worked.
If you want printing a booklet that prints i.e. format A5 on a A4-sheet (page 1 right on the back, 2&3 on the front-side and page 4 on the left back) you need other software. I call to remember the name was "cocoa-booklet" (it has been mentioned several times in this forum).
If you want to printed it professional, simply print it as a .pdf and send it to the print-shop. They usually do the rest. But in this case you should be a bit familiar with cmyk-colouring and how to do this in pages (there are several threads here). If not, the colour of your prints you get can differ from the colours you have on screen (more then nessesary).

  • Creating Page Layout Problem : Page Content Disappears

    Hello,
I am a recent grad and new to the world of Sharepoint and ASP.
I created a Page Layout with 3 columns and I implemented the 'Page Content' in each column.
When I enter anything ( Text or HTML)  in the Page Content and save, it immediately discards what I entered and saved.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that Page Content Disappears after you save the created Page Layout.
The issues is caused by that Page Layout is not assocaited with the content type.
Please make sure you create Page Layout correctly. You can refer to:

  • Page Layout Problem

This is a silly little problem which I can't fix...
I have a page with text and a row of small photos below. This is constructed from a text box with the photos placed immediately below the box.
Looks fine in iWeb, but when published, the photos appear much lower (approx. 1") below the text. I've many other similar pages (i.e. mixtures of text and pictures), which are all OK.
Any suggestions as to how I can get the photos in the right place?

Assuming Word 2010 (you don't mention the version), go to File|Options|Display and check the option for 'Show white space between pages in Print Layout view'.

  • Page Layout Problems with embedded iViews

    Hi all,
We are having problems with the position of the iviews in the layout page using embedded iviews. Sometime load in one order and other times in another one. I need that the iviews load in the same order always.
    Any idea, please?
    Thanks for all.

    Hi José,
if in fact this is the case, then I would expect that the single iViews are called via different threads. If this is the case, then I would implement within the iView to wait for some result provided by the iView, which should be loaded first (for example, by putting some certain value into the http session object).

  • Page layout problem when using more than 3 iviews(with Tab Strip controls)

    Hello Experts,
I am using MS Visual Studio 2005 and PDK 2.5 for .net.
I have created four iViews where two iViews are having TabStrip control which are dynamically added to iView.
When I add iViews to the page and view page  ,I am not able to see the content of iViews having TabsStrip controls.
But I can see contents with individual iView.I am using 3 columns layout for this scenario.
I have tried all possible layouts available in EP.
How should I placed iViews in page so that contents of iviews having Tabsrtip control will be displayed.
    Any help appreciated
    Regards

    Hi Sunil,
Try changing the isolation property of iView to URL(Isolated) from Embedded-->Save .Now assign these iViews to the page.

  • Printer page size problems

I have an HP 1180C Deskjet which is set up with A3 paper as the default size. All programs recognise this apart from Adobe Reader which resets it somehow to A4 size. So whenever I receive a pdf that is A3 size I have to go into printer properties and reset the size back to A3. Very frustrating. I've always had this problem but have finally had enough! Is there a setting which tells Reader to just accept the default paper size for the printer that is selected
    Thanks in anticipation

  • Printer has layout problem

I am trying to print an Excel chart in landscape A5 to fit two to an A4 page. I set my page to print two to a page and check the Print Preview to make sure the chart is the right size on half the page so that the double will fit. My printer keeps printing everything out portrait and scaled down in the top left hand corner of the page. I have tried printing similar formates and images from Word and Preview but with the same result. Is there any solution I can try? Josh

I know when I tried, the only way I could get it to print correctly was to go into the Custom Margins first, do that exact procedure that I listed previously. Otherwise it was always scaled down (about 60-70% of the desired size) no matter what I changed after that. Microsoft Office support pages would be the best resource at this point, they may know ways of changing existing documents/spreadsheets.

  • XML Report Page Layout Problem

    Dear Members,
We are working on 11i Version of Oracle Apps.
Recently I developed an XML Report which has two pages.
I want Page-1 in Landscape style and Page-2 in Portrait Style.
I've prepared the RTF template in Landscape and on Page-2 I have selected the portrait option. Therefore now I have page-1 in Landscape and page-2 in Portrait.
With this style when I am running the report all the landscape pages are displayed first and then portrait pages are displayed after the landscape pages.
But the expected output is, first page-1 should be displayed in landscape and then immediately page-2 should be displayed in portrait for each record.
Kindly please assist me in resolving this issue.
    Many thanks in advance.

  • Page layout or printing problem?

I'm trying to create a layout to print my son's Eagle Scout invitations and I'm stumped. The cards will be 5" x 7" when folded as a 4 page. I need to feed them through the printer flat and as a 7 x 10". How do I get the two inside pages layed out? I've tried a couple of ways and I can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. If this doesn't make sense, ask me some questions and I'll clarify as best I can. thanks

    Hi Bob,
What you're making is essentially a single sheet, printed both sides.
Open a new Draw document, then go Format > Document... and set document size to 2 pages wide by 1 page high.
Go File > Page Setup... and set the orientation to one of the Landscape settings (there may be only one landscape setting. You can set a Custom Page size, but I'd just leave it at US Letter and place items on the page's that they appear in the right positions on the actual sheets.
Set up a pair of Test pages to determine where to place the elements of your invitation.
    1.
Use the Rectangle tool to draw a 1/2 inch square. Place the square at the top left of the left page. Press command-D to duplicate it, then, without deselecting the second square, use the arrow keys to move it up to match the top of the first square, and right until the left edge of the new square is on top of the right edge of the original (ie. the two squares are touching each other). Press command-D repeatedly until the row of squares runs from one side of the drawing space to the other.
    2.
Press command-A to select all of the squares.
Press command-D to duplicate the full set.
Without deselecting the second set, use the arrow keys to line up the vertical lines in the two sets of squares, then to move trhe new set down until its top edge is on the bottom edge of the old set.
Press command-D repeatedly until the sets of squares cover the whole document.
    3.
Mark the top row by selecting the first square, and every third one after it, (ie. #s 1, 4, 7, 10... then using the Fill button and the Patterns Palette (both near the bottom of the Tools) to fill those squares with a pattern that will allow you to identify the edges of the printed page that are the "top" of the inside and outside of the card. Siomilarly, mark every fourth square in the leftmost column of the test drawing.
    4.
On two sheets of plain paper (letter size), use a red pen or pencil to draw a line across the (portrait oriented) page 10" down from the top, and another from top to bottom 7" from the left* edge of the paper.
*This assumes that your printer has a fixed paper guide on the right, an adjustable guide on the left, and that the paper enters the printer face up and head first.
Place the two marked sheets in the feed tray and print a copy of the test drawing.
From the result you will be able to determine what portion of the available workspace will be printed on the cards and the orientation of the printing wrt the card stock. Anything that's inside the largest outlined area on each page will be on the card. Cut out the area and fold the page to match the folding of the cards to determine where each page will fall.
Use that information to locate text and graphics on the drawing. Place the text for each page of the card into separate text frames to allow for easy adjustment to its placing if necessary. Be sure to leave some white space around the edges to allow for minor errors in paper handling by your printer.
When printing, it's probably best to do a full print run of Page 1, then flip the cards over and repeat, printing Page 2. I would print a single copy of the second run to ensure I had re-inserted the paper with the orientation to get the inside 'right side up' before committing to the full run.
With two pages side by side, your pages will line up like this:
Outside Back, Outside Front, Inside Front (left), Inside Back (right).
    Regards,
    Barry

  • Smartforms -Page Skipping Problem in Continue Sheet Printing.....

    Hi Gurus,
I face problem with multiple page printing in dot matrix printer for purchase order printing.
Here are the details about my requirement
Our client Purchase order pre-printed Paper size Width 303 mm Height 203 mm and continued sheet. I have created a z layout zpoprint for the above size and assigned it in smarforms and select DINA4 transverse in printer. Whenever we printing 2nd page it starts printing after 5 cm. My friends asked me to create a customized page format in server properties in printer. Is there any other way to overcome this issue? Anybody face this problem kindly reply to me.

    Hi
Though you can double check the page layouts of both pages of your smartform, also keep in consideration that using a dot matrix printer to get the output of smartforms will have some impact of the positioning of the print as dot matrix printers are mechanical in nature(wheels are moving!).
Whereas, in laser printers, the whole data is taken, formatted and then sent to print.

Brother HL-4070CDW stopped printing Half-page or 2 per page layout after installing Snow Leopard 10.6.2 (with Brother driver update of 11/9/09). Anyone else have this problem, solution?

That did fix it, thanks so very, very much! I went to the " prints to a small portion of the page" and changed the paper size to A4 like it said and it worked immediately. This was the first time that I found this particular information listed on Firefox after looking at numerous questions/answers. Again, thanks so very much!!!!!!
