Mobile Safari / Webview - closing quicktime media does not return to page
Hello. I have noticed that recently, with the 4.3.1 update, when you click 'Done' in a quicktime player window invoked from a Mobile Safari or webView page, the player controls disappear, but the quicktime logo stays on the screen.
In previous versions of IOS, when you click Done, it returns you to the calling page.
Simple test: create a webpage with a link to a MP3 file. Load it in Safari, click it to invoke the Quicktime player. Pre-4.3.1, when you click Done, the player exists and returns you to the webpage. On 4.3.1, when you click Done, the player remains on the screen, and you have to use Mobile Safari's controls to navigate back to the page.
Anyone know how to revert to pre-4.3.1 behavior?
I haven't submitted a report nor feedback because, quite frankly, I seldomly venture into Apple's sites and I have not submitted a bug report to Apple before, nor would I know how to do so. I also assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that Apple has staff perusing these forums and taking notes and passing them to QA and their developers.
But I agree, submitting a bug report/feedback is a great idea. I'll figure it out and do so tomorrow when I have more time.
By the way, why did '*****,' appear in my post? I didn't use any obscene words.

I am trying with the cable of the iPod now, but still the same: the laptop does not detect the iPhone and the iPhone does not turn on. I think the iPhone cable works because when I connect it to the power as if I was charging the battery, the Apple logo appears on the screen but that's all. I only have one computer at home.

Hp the system recovery media does not support this computer, WIN7 GS72 Notebook

Bios Rev: F.47
Error message: "hp the system recovery media does not support this computer. You are not able to restore this system"
Changes made to system: Updated bios (I think).
Getting error messages (at system boot, as windows start, and from the intel hard drive controller) warning me to backup data and hard drive my fail.
I replaced the harddrive and inserted the first of my 4 recovery DVDs (created before I updated the bios). After booting from the first recovery disk I get the following message
"hp the system recovery media does not support this computer. You are not able to restore this system with the media"
The computer still boots with the old hard drive (with drive failure imminent messages) I do see support assistant offering another bios update but I did not install it with the hard drive problem

I think there could be two possible reason. wrong media or systemboard is changed.
did you create any recovery media yourself or you ordered the recovery media from hp? also, was there any systemboard replacement done before?
media created on some other computer (same model) may not work on your computer.

also once systemboard is replaced you need to get the configuration settings done for BIOS(only HP can do it).

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application? -
A problem has just started with my IPAD Air after 3 months of use.
If I try to open Safari by tapping on the icon the screen briefly flashes white but does not display the page.
Similarly if I try to open Settings page, Mail page, Calendar or Clock the screen just briefly flashes but the Apps do not run.
Some of the Apps do work on tapping the icon e.g. Maps, iBooks, Appstore, iTunes, Newstand etc.
I do have some website links which display when the icon is tapped e.g. John Lewis but some links do not work.
I have ensured that the ipad is fully charged, powered it off an on again, and cleaned the screen with a lint free cloth but the
same problem keeps occurring.I saume you used a second display at one time, otherwise the Display settings wouldn't be treating your primary display as a secondary.
IF you open your System Preferences>Displays (-System Preferences) and click "Gather Windows" it should pull everything to the display on which you clicked it. -

I got this message, and I don't know why since I already have downloaded java update 10 which should have javafx in itjava 7 update 10 includes javafx, but not on the default classpath (I believe that is scheduled for java 7 update 12 and/or java 8).
Look in your jre distribution and you find a jfxrt.jar file, you can add that to your classpath and the class will be found.
If you package your application using the javafx packaging tools, then the javafx code should be also be found at runtime without you having to add jfxrt.jar to the runtime classpath.

Safari 5.1.2 still does not allow me to view PDF documents in web pages. I am running OSX Lion 10.7.2. Any suggestions?

And go to ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Move the PDF Browser plugin to the Trash.
Quit Safari, empty the Trash.
Relaunch Safari. You should be able to view PDF files now.

System Recovery media does not support the computer. HELP!!!
Ok problem here the recovery discs that were created do not work. And this is where I'm stuck.
First the details. It's a DV7-6163CL Laptop with windows 7. The discs were created shortly after we got the computer. The reason we have to try and recover the computer is hard drive #1 failed and failed hard. Hard drive was replaced. Now after trying to use the recovery discs we get the error message after a few windows loading screens in Recovery Manger.
"The system recovery media does not support this computer. You are not able to restore this computer with the media."
Well Hp doesn't support his platform anymore due to its age.
Is there anything I can do next to formatting the computer and getting a new OS?Many times this error is caused by missing info in BIOS. Can you enter BIOS-F10 at power on- and check for serial number,etc?
Sometimes a new hdd requires prepping with Cyberlink Utility cd first. Download and Save the file. Once download is complete, put a blank cd in your drive and click the file to create a boot cd. Boot with this cd and wait until you get a green check mark indicating hdd is ready. Remove the cd , insert first Recovery Disk and restart the laptop.

Every time I open Safari, I get a message (and a pop-up) that says the Safari browser I'm using does not support Community Toolbar. How can I get rid of the Community Toolbar or at least turn it off?
That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
Close Safari, then locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
/Library/Application Support/Conduit
/Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
/Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
/Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
/Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit
where / is the root library on your Hard Disk.
If you are running Snow Leopard you should also look here:

and I was suprised to get this exception:
Exception in thread "JavaFX Application Thread" java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Unsupported protocol "bundleresource"
at com.sun.media.jfxmedia.locator.Locator.<init>(Locator.java:233)
at javafx.scene.media.Media.<init>(Media.java:391)
I was suprised that Media does not support the protocol "bundleresource" when Image does. Of couse I can figure out the location of file and use File.toURI().toString() to get the URI I can pass on to Media.
I am wondering why this pattern would work for an Image but not for a Media class? Does e(fx)clipse provide this protocol for Image (and could this be extended for Media) or is this built into JavaFX?

No we are not doing anything special for Image which most likely uses
Java-Streams whereas the media stuff directly delegates to the native
code to fetch the stream from an URL. Looking at the code the only 2

if your youtube was already running then I would exit out of the application completely by double clicking your home button and then search for your youtube app on the row that will show below and then press and hold down the youtube icon and then click the "X" to exit out of it. Afterwards try to reopen youtube and play a video to see if it works

When using the iPhone with the Windows OS, you need to have the Apple Mobile Device Service running. It should start automatically when you start the computer, but sometimes things happen. Use this support document to try and restart the service. See if that helps.

If I'm not misunderstanding, do you mean that the workbook is automatically closed after you print from that workbook, right?
As I know, if we use the default ribbon in Excel, no matter in Windows XP or Windows 7, the opened workbook should be stay opened after you print from that Excel workbook.
So the question is that: what is the version of office? What is the Classic Menu add-in you're running now? Did you manually download and install it to your system? Could you please share a picture with us about the add-ins you're using?
