Mobile sales 5.0 documentation about BP group hierarchy

Hi,
I´m searching detailed documentation about mobile sale 5.0. I have already seen the help on line, but it is not containing any details on configurations steps neither on how some functionality is working.
In particular I´d need to understand how the BP hierarchies are working in msa and if it is possible to distribute the nodes of the hierarchy depending on the BP on the laptop and not bulk. I´ve found tree replication obj: CAPGROUP_WRITE, GRPHIER_WRITE, GRPTREE_WRITE. In CRM 4.0, if I remember well, there were only the CAPGROUP_WRITE; so I cannot understand what are the differences between all of them and when they should be used.
Does anybody have any documentation? Or know how they are working?
Any input will be really appreciated.

Variant Config in Mobile Sales

Hi,
We can do offline Variant configuration and pricing on Mobile Clients (w/o connecting to CRM server). I would appreciate if someone can provide some documentation/tips supporting this statement ?(Please be specific on Variant Config and Variant Pricing on Mobile clients like laptops)
Or if someone has implementedit before, i would appreciate if they can tell about the challenges faced in implementing VC on Mobile sales and some other tips on same?

Crystal Report Error - Mobile Sales - 4.0 SP 12

Some of the users are getting the following error message while trying to open the Crystal Reports from Mobile Sales.
"This program is used to host and to initialize the UF F has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Can you please let me know where can I find any update about these issues?
Has anyone ever come across this type of error?

Can you ensure that the following Dlls in the machine are registered:
1. Register all the Dlls and ocx files available in
   <<Installation directory>>\Sap\Mobile\bin directory.
2. Register the dlls and ocx files available in
   <<Installation directory>>\Sap\Mobile\3rd_party directory.
3. Register the sfabol.dll and msa.dll. It will be available under
   <<Installation directory>>\Sap\Mobile (or in the sub-directories
   based on how settings are at your end.
   But before doing the same, please ensure that you unregister the other Dll first.
As you are aware, the starting application is UFContainer.exe. The same
requires the following Dlls/OCX to be registered:
1. sfabof.dll
2. scrrun.dll in C:\winnt\system32 directory
3. ErrComp.dll
4. UFCore.dll (based on the IE Version)
5. ACTBAR.OCX
6. MSCOMCT2.OCX
7. comdlg32.ocx
8. SSLSTBAR.ocx
9. MSCOMCTL.ocx
Can you please ensure that the above are indeed registered in your case
Some of the above exists in C:\winnt\system32 directory.
If the problem remains it may be because of the IE version you use. Do you use IE7? iIf so did you face the same problems with IE 6 also?

SAP Mobile Sales 2.0 delta load issue for Sales Orders

Hello,
we have used Mobile Sales 2.0 with a Windows app for a while now. Our current issue is that sales reps won't see any historical sales order data on their devices.
Background
Due customer requirements, we need to make small changes to customer master data attributes and reload all customers from ERP to CRM. Then we ran delta loads (MAS_PARTNER followed by all other objects) to DOE, in which virtually all 5000+ customer accounts were compared. The delta load ran for about 3 days (some performance bottleneck we haven't located yet).
During the delta load, data on devices was inconsistent. Accounts were missing and all transaction data disappeared. After the delta loads, all accounts and contacts are OK, save for a few. Data from activities (appointments, tasks) have reappeared, as they should. Only sales orders won't reappear. The sales orders exist in the backend and belong to active accounts and sales reps.
Settings and troubleshooting so far
We don't have any limitations for sales orders in CRM Sales Mobile configuration.
We've run delta loads for all objects in transaction SDOE_LOAD.
MAS_CUSTOMIZATION etc seem fine.
We've re-run initial load for sales orders from CRM.
In the test system, we've even reinitialized the whole CDS database on DOE and on the devices, then re-ran the loads.
Checked steps suggested in discussion
SAP CRM 2.0 initial load issue
Historical sales orders (those created before the master data reload) exist in the backend, but don't show up on the device.
If I change one of those historical sales orders in the backend, it gets sent to the device.
If I create a new sales order in the backend or on the device, it is saved and replicated just fine.
To sum it up, it seems DOE is unable to identify the sales orders relevant for replication.

First Doubt i got clarify by my self as we can go with Unwired Runtime option .
But i still have doubt in :
2. How can i Modifying the Main Menu for iOS.
i am able to customize the same for windows using files SybaseCRM.Configuration.xml file.
Same how can i do for iphone/ipad.

Install Mobile Sales on Windows 7 64-bit?

Hello,
I found note 1469507 today, which enables Mobile Sales 7.0 SP4 to work on Windows 7. However, it is not mentioned which bit-versions of Windows are supported. The documentation for this version of Mobile Sales hasn't yet been updated, so Windows 7 isn't mentioned in the compatibility list at all.
Has anyone installed MSA 7.0 on a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or can confirm that this is supported?

Mobile sales online installation for CRM5.0(ABAP+JAVA)

Client wanted to implement Mobile sales online for NW2004s component CRM5.0(ABAPJAVA) stack. We have already installed CRM5.0 with ABAPJAVA engine and EP7.0.Currently we are using EP with CRM5 using PCUIscreens. Also configured SSO(SAP logon ticket) between EP and CRM and BI7.0.
I found the document which says about NW04 instance CRM ABAP stack and need to install JAVA satck seperately then do SSO and deploy .sca files etc...but could not find for MSON on NW2004s using EP.
We have already integrated CRM5,BI7 with EP7.0 using SSO saplogon ticket,now my concern is
1. Do i need to use MSON configuration like SSO,SLD,deployment on existing CRM5.0 ABAP and Java engine , which is installed in one system ?

2. Can i use MSON config through CRM5.0 already integrated with EP7.0 ? which is already configured SSO and SLD etc..
Which method is recomended for Blackberry to communicate CRM5.0 system?

What Mobile Sales solution for ERP 6.0 ?

Hi colleagues,
I have serious difficulty to understand what is the SAP offering for Mobile Sales solutions for SPA ERP 6.0. SAP is vague and just say there IS solution for R/3 (?).
My questions are in two directions:
1. About the "preconfigured" Mobile Sales offerings or xApps or whatever it is:
    - can we use SAP MSR 2.0 with ERP 6? If yes- are still the limitations described in Note OSS 735727 valid (use only with Microsoft PocketPC2003, PocketPC2003 SE and Win32 )

2. About the "Online" solutions

If I am not wrong you are talking about internet sales for R/3 when you say ERP internet sales, which is probably outdated by now. Nowadays SAP distributes something called as mySAP Business Suite which in brief is as follows:

About MSA HH 5.0 Device requirement- Yes you need to use Windows Mobile PDAs with Pocket PC 2003/ Windows Mobile5.0, Windows Mobile 6.0 OS.
There is another application, Mobile Sales Online, which can work with Blackberry Devices, technical information regarding which can be got from SMP here:

Sales BOM: Quantity correlation for deliv.group 001

When creating a delivery for a sales BOM material assigned to delivery group, I'm getting a partial quantity.
Example is sales BOM material A requires 4 EA of subitem B. Order created for 1 EA of material A, which requires 4 EA subitem B but there are only 2 EA of B in stock. The corresponding delivery is created with a quantity of .5 for material A. I get the following message in the delivery log:
"Quantity correlation for deliv.group 001 from sls.order 0004831194 for deliv.item 000010"
I'm expecting the quantity to be 1 on the sales order. Any help is appreciated.

I guess not. Obviously, if you don't have enough to deliver in full, then you can do one of the two; either deliver less (in this case half), or deliver none (maybe you can't deliver half because it is impossible).
Here's something from the online documentation:
Correlating Delivery Groups
Items in delivery groups can be combined in the sales order to synchronize their delivery. You will receive a warning message when creating a delivery for a sales order if all items belonging to such a group cannot be delivered. If you then create deliveries using a delivery due list, all orders whose delivery groups cannot be completely delivered will be ignored in this process. In this case, the log supplies all appropriate information. If the delivery quantity is changed or if such an item is deleted in a delivery item belonging to a delivery group, you will receive a warning message. For further information on delivery groups, refer to Combining Sales Document Items for Delivery.
In addition, the system will carry out a quantity correlation for groups of items when they are classified together by one of the following requirements:
the items belong to a common delivery group
the items have a bill of material structure
If the order structure arose from a bill of material explosion, the relations in quantity of the items is based on component quantity. If this is not the case, it is based on the relation of the order quantities. The system does not correlate items classified as having fixed quantities.
When creating deliveries, the system automatically carries out a quantity correlation. If you change a higher level itemu2019s quantity, the quantities in the dependent items will be adjusted on all levels if necessary. When you change a dependent itemu2019s quantity, the system generates a warning message. When you delete a higher level item, all subordinate items are deleted as well. When you delete a dependent item, the system generates a warning message. If the dependent item contains a quantity to correlate and is the main item of a batch split, you receive a note. You must decide manually for which batches the quantity change is to take place.
The question really is, from a business point of view, in your example what would you like to do? Deliver 1 A or none?

Setting sceuser.properties in Mobile Sales 4.0

I am trying to make changes to the configuration screens in Mobile Sales 4.0 using the sceuser.properties file. I have also tried to make changes via the Attributes menu items, SCE-UI, SCESystem, and StdUi.1. Is there any documentation that will tell me what entries and settings are possible in the sceuser.properties file?

I forgot to mention that I already know that the .Net Framework 1.1 is a prerequisite. I only want to know if I could have any problems on PCs on which both Framework 1.1 and Framework 2.0 are installed (as Microsoft designed them to be installed side by side), so I asked SAP directly. This is the answer Ive got:
<i>The .Net Framework would be required for the installation of MSA as per the installation guide. However once this has been done it would be possible to install .Net Framework 2.0. As it is possible to have 2 different versions of the .Net Framework running on the same PC.</i>
So, after the installation of MSA, the Framework 2.0 can be installed and (as Kay points out), to avoid irregular behaviours with ConnTrans, the Note 970254 Send and import fail during ConnTrans synchronization must be applied.

In our project (using ECC6), we want to split in a PO the FM account assignment between several lines, according to the fund type of the initial account assignment (based from an referenced earmarked document).
After looking in the customizing and in ECC6 PSM Public Sector Management
Release Notes, we are investigating Documentation about Rule-Based Account Assignment Distribution.
Can anybody provides me a link to a documentation, if any?
Otherwise, I would greatly appreciate any help to use this functionality.

I am configuring this functionality currently in an ECC 6.0 environment for a public sector organization and have had an issue with the FMSPLITMAINT transaction. When attempting to create a rule the 'create' 'copy' 'change' options are not available.
Configuration has already been completed for Field Profiles, Action Profiles, & Rule Groups.
The olny documentation I have been able to find was an appendix to the SAP Grants Management - Grantee course.
Please respond if you there is any additional documentation which may be of assistance. I have already tried notes: 991661 and 991962.

Is there a page with more info about unix groups? wiki is vague

as a recent arch convert, i've really been guessing about which groups to join. (based on limited available information)
but, randomly, in different (arch) wiki's and forum posts, they seem contradict each other.
some say being in the disk group is dangerous.
some say to be a member of the dbus group, others say not to
it's all very confusing.
I'd love to help to improve the arch documentation on this really weak area, but i'm still new to this.
any ideas?

When adding software via pacman, you will get a short postinstall message, which indicates that it is recommended to add users to a certain group.
E.g. when installing 'sane' this message will appear:
Add your user to group 'scanner' to use scanner devices.
For example, I am member of the following additional groups:
