Hi,
Mobile Application Studio(MAS) is a tool where you will design your application. Every application will have components,tileset and tiles. Once you have designed your application you will generate it and build it which will then create your application.
You cannot open a single BP in MAS as it is only a design time tool. You can open the tile in MAS which will hold the BP information when you login in to the application.

Error in opining the Object Browser in Mobile Studio.

Hi All
I am working in SAP CRM MOBile sales 4.0.Today i am facing a problem in opening the object browser in thr mobile studio.When i clicked the object browser then the error message box opens up which says that-
<b>OT/X DockingForms Run Time Message
A programming requirement has not been met.The application's "Startup Object"(menu select Project/<proj> Properties..) must be such that the MDIFormX control is loaded before any FormX controls.
As a result ,the FormX control on form "frmTreeBrowser" will be disabled.</b>
I am not able to use the studio.
What can be the solution for that?

I tried to do the same way as prescribed by Ritz but still getting the same error in Mobile Studio.
I think studio is screwed up and have to reinstall on my machine.
Do u guys have any suggestions that i should do to get rid of an error in mobile studio.?

Installing Sun Mobility Studio 6 using J2SE 1.5

The installer cannot find or recognize the J2SE 1.5 as a suitable JVM.
I have the (jstudio_M04q3-win-ml.exe) version of mobilit studio.
Also tried -is:javahome option but doesn't work.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem.
You have to download JRE 1.4.x version and J2SE 1.4.xx version.

SAP Mobile Studio Full generation Error

Hi
I have added one tile namely Y_BWreport in the studio to incorporate the client's functionality.
When i generate only this tile then it does not give any errors.
But when i do the full generation of the SAP-MAS
then there comes a warning and error in the output window of the studio.
Warning-cannot add class to VBA project : Class Name: SY_BWreport
Error: Compiling VBA project failed.
Is there any way to get rid of that error?

Hi,
Please re-installe the same again you will be able to install. Some times this type of error comes but you reinstall again the error solve automatic.

Mobile Sales - Error while Saving Sales Order

Hi,
When I try to create and save a sales order in the Mobile Sales, the error message UI_CONT_STATUSBAR_ICON_TT is displayed, blocking the saving process and the new order is not saved.
I tried to debug the SAP Mobile Application Studio(Visual Basic) side and I didn`t find any error there.
Does anyone knows what could be happening?

Mobile demo client

Hi All
I am trying to install a Demo Client for giving demo to business users.
The install version is 5.0 SP11 and the database is SQL Server Express 2005. I have installed the Mobile Client MSA and MSV with demo data but not Mobile Studio since I dont have Visual Studio 2005 installed.
The IDES databae got installed correctly and the data is also there and the install for all the components was successful.
The problem is whenever I try to login to the client using crmuser with password crm I get an error saying BusinessRootObjectCore.Login error and the application closes.
Does anybody know how to login to the Demo Client and is there any settings that need to be done just to make the Demo Mobile Client working.

Please verify the following to resolve the issue,
1. Implement the note 1099457 which has latest Run tim framework fixes.
2. Check the DSN settings in ODBC. ( Run prompt -> odbcad32, check the ides dsn settings).
3. Go to Registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\MSA\MW\security\user and check the IDES Database details.
4. Go to Folder %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\SAP AG, delete the folder called
'CRM Mobile Sales Application'.
Hope the above steps would resolve the issue. In case issues, Kindly revert back.

Small Studio Setup w/Audio Interface & USB MPK 88 Controller

We have Logic Pro 9. We have an MPK88 Controller. We want to get an Audio Interface for live mic recording (and whatever other ideas may come along). A Presonus Fire studio Mobile has been recommended. So, before we buy anything else, I would like to know if when all were here, would we plug the controller into the USB of the Mac or into the MIDI of the Presonus? Which would be best? Also we want to replace very old huge speakers. M-Audio Bx5 product has been recommended. I am thinking that these would be run via the interface - yes? As you can see, this is new territory for me and once it's setup then the composer in the family can take over and be a very happy fella. Thanks for your ideas about connecting these things together.

I have the KRK RP6 monitors, which again are superb, they connect to the outs on the audio interface via the balanced outputs.

I also use a RODE NT2A condensore mic connected to the babyface via one of its inputs with phantom v48 selected.

I also use a real guitar that i also connect to the babyface and have the Inst mode turned on for that.
Everything works perfectly with Logic Studio.
I would highly recomend the RME Babyface for home studio and mobile studios although it only hase a few inputs as standard, it can be expanded on...In combination with an ADAT converter, like RME ADI-8 QS or OctaMic II, the Babyface provides an incredible amount of 10 analog input and 12 output channels. But!, if you need more inputs straight out of the box, then the Presonus Fire studio Mobile might be the correct choice for you, although I can not vouch for its quality on build or sound.

My brand new 15'' retina macbook pro takes 10 hours to export a half hour video's master file! How can I fix this, what is wrong with you people?!

I'm not applying any special effects or anything, and it doesn't matter what I export to, it just doesn't work! If I publish vid and audio, 10 hours, to go on webhosting, 10 hours. My media is optimized and everything, I don't get it. Also, when I send to compressor, and then send the job out, it just sits there in the share manager for days not doing anything. I spent over 3 grand upgrading my system, getting this dumb program, and had to sell my FCP7 monster Mac to get this "mobile studio." Don't get me wrong, I love FCPX, the feature set and everything is great, but exporting is a real pain. What do I do, where can I go for some real answers?!?!?!

How much memory on your MBP?
Also, are you using external drives for your media? You could get a huge traffic jam if you have your OSX, your apps, and your video Events all on the same drive.

Powerbook G4 and OS 10.2

I was told that it is not possible to install OS 10.2 on the Powerbook G4 - Is it true they will only run with Tiger? I need to run an older version of Logic Audio that will only run on OS 10.2

It's funny you should mention that Rod - I'm aware of the Logic Pro 7 upgrade possibilities, and plan to do that eventually - but here's my situation:
I have a Mac desktop G4 466 mhz system - I run Logic 4.7 quite well on dual boot OS 9/Tiger. I do need, however, to buy a Powerbook G4 to run Logic - create a mobile studio to record at my artists' homes. I don't want to scrap my G4 466 desktop just yet - I'd like to produce the same songs on the laptop, bring the data home, work on them on the desktop too (I'm not ready to sink money into a G5 just yet)
Meanwhile, Logic Pro 7 - they recommend running it on a G5 or a faster (dual processor) G4 - so - I figure - I can buy Logic Platinum 5.5 from this engineer ($80) - and buy a used Powerbook 1.33 mhz, less expensive also - then run Logic 5.5 on the laptop, and the desktop on OS 10.2.x.

Query in ASWE XML code doesn't return data

I'm developing wireless applications running on Oracle9i Application Server Wireless Edition. I'v tried to implement the employee sample from Oracle Online Mobile Studio (studio.oraclemobile.com). The sample name is employee.jsp. This sample combines XML code with JSP.

When I test the sample I get no query results.
When you take the first option for example, (search by dept number) the query result will not be displayed. I think it has something to do with the "executeQuery" line.

Does this have something to do with the encoding of the query result in the select statement? As you can see the variable is in the requeststring (URL = http://host/portal/test/employee.jsp?&empNum=7369)
My database connection works fine (I've also tested the query using SQL plus and the SQL adapter also works).
Is this the right statement?: ("select * from EMP where EMPNO='" + empNum + "'");
I can not do anything with the error in the jserv.log (java.sql.SQLException: Invalid column name).
The columnname EMPNO excists in the example table. The query in SQL plus gives a result.
Can someone give my any suggestions?

Is EMPNO really a string field and not a numeric field? Your query is like
... where EMPNO='1949'
and should it perhaps be
... where EMPNO=1949
?

J2ME Web Services proxy

I try to register a web service with mobile studio,
(I use my account on studio.oraclemobile.com) so as to generate J2ME stub and run the service in proxy mode.
The problem is, whichever URL I put for wsdl files, I get "The URL you entered does not contain a valid WSDL file." The URLs are correct, I tried many of them, including all given in 9iAS Wireless 904 docs, like
http://www.xmethods.net/sd/2001/TemperatureService.wsdl
http://www.xmethods.net/sd/2001/FedExTrackerService.wsdl
as well as some others.
I can view these WSDL files in browser and can't understand why they would be invalid.
I wanted to check proxying feature with Mobile Studio first, then migrate it to a running 9iAS server - I have already tried Mobile Studio AND 9iAS, and both failed.
Is there something I do wrong?
Anyone, I will appreciate any help on that.

I checked the HTTP header I receive when "manually" requesting WSDLs. No encoding is shown, so I guess it's default UTF-8, and content-type is text/xml. What else could possibly go wrong?
I also checked those WSDLs with a few validators (both online and offline like XMLSpy), documents were well-formed as well as valid.
Any hint why I still can't get it to work?
If there is a public available Web Service that you tried and know works well with Mobile Studio (or 9iAS),let me know the URL please.
I suppose there is no problem with URLs themselves as (1)I successfully registered a multichanell application in Mobile Studio fetching Simple XML from external URLs, (2)I can view those WSDLs as "plain" XMLs in IE6.0..

Getting Started with 9iAS Wireless

I installed the 3 CDs for 9iAS and when I look at my inventory for installed Oracle products I see that 9iAS wireless is installed, however I can't find any documentation, links or admin programs that help me get started with it. I have a WAP emulator and I want to write applications in PLSQL in the XML format, however it rejects them claiming that the page is HTML and not accepted. What do I need to do to write applications in PLSQL that will work on a WAP enabled device.

Image Display Problems

I have been playing around with Mobile Studio, and I am currently trying to display a simple logo. I have a file named logo with each extension (.gif, .bmp, and a .wbmp) in the images directory. My code is as follows:
