hello
This is on r12.1.3
We are in the process of implementing Mobile Supply Chain applications.
And for that we need to procure hand held scanners. Question is, which ones?
Does Oracle recommend any specific brand for handheld scanners that are optimized or set as standard for MSCA? We are leaning towards Honeywell as they are traditionally known to work with Oracle products, but open to new suggestions (if any). If you can refer a link or white paper from Oracle, it will help.
Thanks,
DarshWe are running 11.5.10.2 on Linux 64 bit. Client requires to implement Mobile supply chain...Can any one give me some metalink notes or pointers for the same . ?/ Do we have to do any installation in Handhelds too ? ..PLease guideI assume the application tier node is running on Linux 32-bit since this tier is not supported on Linux 64-bit.

Implementing Finanacial Supply Chain Management - Collections Managment
Dear all
We are in the process of Implementing Financial Supply Chain Management - Collections Management. We are also looking at business content in BI 7.0 as reporting solution.
While 0CLM_MC1 and 0CLM_MC2 are providing most of the data related to call worklist (like amount due, amount disputed, amount promised,dunning level etc etc) , an important piece of information that is crucial for debt reviews which is the text information stored in promise to pay and customer contact is missing.
Is there any way to upload this information (Long Text) is BI.
Thanks & Regards
Sachchida Nand DubeyHi,
U can go for BDC to upload ..
i.e.
'GUI_UPLOAD'
In general BDC and BAPI's are used to upload the data...mainly BAPI s are used to upload the bulk data...
if it screen flow then go for BDC upload...otherwise go for the BAPIs FM's
Regards
Kiran

Jdeveloper set up for MSCA(Mobile supply chain application) custom page
Hi Everyone,
Can anyone provide me with the jdeveloper setup instructions to write class files for MSCA Application. I was trying to redo the helloworld tutorial from anil passi.com(http://oracle.anilpassi.com/hello-world-mobile-supply-chain-application-framework-6.html). But when i write import statements as below, jdeveloper does't recognize these import statements and throws error when i try to compile.
import oracle.apps.inv.utilities.server.UtilFns;
import oracle.apps.mwa.beans.FieldBean;
import oracle.apps.mwa.container.Session;
import oracle.apps.mwa.eventmodel.AbortHandlerException;
import oracle.apps.mwa.eventmodel.DefaultOnlyHandlerException;
import oracle.apps.mwa.eventmodel.InterruptedHandlerException;
import oracle.apps.mwa.eventmodel.MWAEvent;
import oracle.apps.mwa.eventmodel.MWAFieldListener;
The steps I did in jdeveloper are:
1) Created OA Workspace
2) Create project under it with a package structure xxx.oracle.apps.inv.customfunction.server
3) Right click on project and selected New Java Class file
4) Wrote code in the java class file.
So what exactly i should do so that i can compile my code in jdeveloper without errors. ( I know that we have to deploy these files to apps instance inorder to execute. I just want to compile it in jdeveloper).
Thanks
Sunny
Edited by: user13369509 on Mar 16, 2011 8:49 AMmy issue is resolved. i'm getting this problem when i add just java class file to the project. but when i also add the business componets and page component and generate controller class to the project , i can see that import is recognized by the java class file. So i guess i have to delete all the unwanted business components that i have created at the end.
Thanks

Mobile Supply Chain SET UP - BR100
We are in the first steps of the implementation phase of setting up the application. Using AIM, we have created BR100s to document our set up. Have not been able to locate any such documentation for Mobile Supply Chain.
We are implementing MSCA also and created our own Set Up documents. We are having problems not only in the implementation but also with Oracle Support. We have even request on-site Oracle Consulting Services.

Hello SAP guru's,
I am looking for job. In one job posting the requirement is
SAP MM experience with a strong emphasis in the Supply Chain Management area.
Can anyone tell me how much do I need to know about Supply Chain Management?
How it is connected with MM?
Please.
Thank You.Hi,
First you should work in MM for atleast 3 years, there after you can think of becoming Supply Chain Consultant..
as everybody knows SAP is very Vast, addressing all the requirement of a Single Module itself is very difficult..
But I would suggest you to Have Knowledge in FI apart from MM...
This combination is very useful for getting jobs..
Thx

Dear sir,

i am in confusion now so please suggest me to move forward
In my company i am working in Logistics dept where my role is Importing power plant equipment through Sea

so please give some proper guidance sir
warm regards
sudhaHi Sudha,
Personally choosing a module in SAP is completely yours choice as you have to think well which will suit your aspirations.As from your portfolio i came to know that you got exposed to supply chains.yes SCM will be a good choice.I can see OTC/SD will be a good choice for you.OTC normally refers to the business process for receiving and processing customer sales.It follows "Opportunity to Order" and covers business to business(B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) sales.
Again choice is yours !!. .Wish you good luck in SAP career.

SAP material for supply chain management
Hello All,
My name is Siddhartha. I am new to this forum. I am doing my masters in supply chain management and am planning to get into the functional side of SCM in Material Management (MM) module. I want to get online training if possible. Can you suggest the ideal place or website where I can get the material and online training for preparing?Hi
Surf through this webpage - http://www.sap.com/services/education/certification/index.epx
It will give you an idea of all certifications, levels, topics/modules to be studied.
Also, information on contacting the SAP Education offices in various countries.
Moreover, I recommend you to contact the Authorised Training Centers in US. They will share all the information right from duration to modules to fees.
Cheers!

Oracle Mobile Supply Chain r12.1
Hello,
First time in life, I am configuring Mobile Supply chain for my site. I am following document from this link:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18727_01/doc.121/e13467/T258138T411019.htmYou will notice that under "MWA Server Setup" section, it outlines following steps
MWA Configuration File: Configure mwa.cfg
The following procedure lists the steps necessary to configure the mwa.cfg file.
Locate the mwa.cfg file in the $INST_TOP/admin/install directory.
Copy the file Mwa_template.cfg to the file mwa.cfg
Edit the mwa.cfg file and configure following parameters
*Set mwa.DbcFolder=full directory of folder containing the .dbc file ending with “/”.*
*Set mwa.DbcFile=dbc file name*
Set mwa.logdir=full directory of log file
Set mwa.TelnetPortNumber=default port#
Setmwa.DropConnectionTimeout= no. of minutes
Set mwa.StaleSessionTimeout= no. of minutes
Set mwa.LogLevel=error or traceTake a look at the bold highlighted steps:
Set mwa.DbcFolder=full directory of folder containing the .dbc file ending with “/”.
Set mwa.DbcFile=dbc file name
My question is:
where do I get these DBC files from and what is the location for the same?
Please advise
Darshwhere do I get these DBC files from and what is the location for the same?It's under $FND_SECURE directory -- Login as applmgr user on the application tier node, source the application env file and you should find the dbc file under $FND_SECURE directory.

Where can i get details about oracle mobile supply chain planning?
Thanks in advance.
G.R.RAMESHDear Amr,
When dealing with Oracle concerning the planing process, we can use one of the following methods:
1- Traditional Planning (Forecast>MDS>MPS>MRP); this is the favor method when you have one organization setup in the system.
2- Oracle Supply Chain Planning method; this is used if you have more than one organization setup in the system; i.e. if you have distribution inventory organization, raw material inventory organization, and finished good inventory organization separates from each others.
3- Advanced Supply Chain Planning.
My question is how to setup the second type (Supply Chain Planning)? , any body has an idea? -
