Mobile Time & Travel for PDA

Hi
Do we have any application of Mobile time & travel running on PDA??? I do have a war file for Laptop version for the the same. I searched every where i havnt got proper documentation or any war file on Mobile time travel for PDA. So any suggestions or help is highly appreciated.
Regards
Pavan

Dear Pavan,
xMTT 2.0 is a laptop based solution. There are no versions available for PDA.
Regards,
Veera
Edit:
Srikanth's post adds evidence to my original post of MTT being a desktop/laptop solution. The following are the last two lines in the link's main page:
"SAP Mobile Time and Travel integrates seamlessly with SAP ERP and can also work with non-SAP applications. SAP MTT is supported on many Microsoft Win32 -based operating systems."

  • How to deploy Mobile Time & Travel to PDA

Is it possible to deploy SAP Mobile Time & Travel to a PDA device?
On the MarketPlace, there are some documentation about Mobile Time & Travel for Laptop but I couldn't find anything about PDA.
If it is possible, would you please guide me through the whole process of deployment.  What do I need to deploy this solution?  Thanks for all your helps.

    Hai,
According to the Documentation for MTT 1.6
    the Mobile Device Requirements are:
"-Win32 Operating System on Laptop Computer
    - Java Runtime Environment (JRE 1.3.1)
    - Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5"
Pocket PC 4.2 or Win Mobile 2003 are not Win32 OS's you can't really get JRE 1.3.1 on a handheld(I think beta versions are available for the crEme.) and you definately can't get Internet Explorer 5.5 on your handheld.
    Hope this helps,
    Wael

    Hi ,
    @ Srikanth
I do have that document already. Anyway thanks for your help. Please check my below resolution for the exact problem where i'm facing.
    @ Veera
    Thanks for your reply.
I Have got the following document and followed all the steps mentioned in this document but struck with deployment of an application. Please check the document at section 6.5 with a description Deployment Using Mobile Administrator.
    help.sap.com/bp_bblibrary/600/Documentation/DUT_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc
The following are the steps defined in that document
    Use
The SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator is used to deploy SAP xMTT to the client Mobile Infrastructure 7.0 SPS12 and above. In order to deploy these components to authorized users, system administrator need to upload the mobile components to the NW AS, create a device configuration and a hierarchy group.
    Procedure
    1.     Upload the sda files (see above) in the delivered xMTT package using the Software Deployment Manager (SDM) in the SAP NetWever AS (AS Java).
    2.     Start the Mobile Administrator (for example, http://<server>:<port>/nwa).
    3.     Choose Administration > Mobile Infrastructure > Mobile Components
    4.     Choose the Reload button (on the right pane of the browser).
    5.     Choose Device Configurations (on the left pane of the browser under the Mobile Infrastructure menu tree).
    6.     Choose Create in the Device Configurations section and enter a new device configuration name (for example, MTT_CONFIG) and its description in the Device Configuration and Description fields respectively.
    7.     In the Details for Selected Device Configuration section, choose the Mobile Components tab. Choose the Add/Remove button.
    8.     In the Search for Mobile Components dialog box, enter MT* in the Name field and choose Search to get the Available Mobile Components list.
    9.     Select the components as per the table below and then move these components to the Assigned Mobile Components list by choosing the >> button.
    10.     On the Confirmation dialog box, choose No.
Mobile Component Name     Version     Installation Sequence
    MTR     200400
    MTS     200400
    MTTCORE     200400
    MTTREPOSITORY     200400
    11.     Choose   Save.
    12.     Repeat steps 6 to 9 to create another Device configuration (for example, MTT_ADDON for the MTT patches.
    13.     On the Confirmation dialog box, choose Yes.
    14.     In the Insert Installation Sequence dialog box, enter sequence number and then choose Insert for each of the components as per the table below:
Mobile Component Name     Version     Installation Sequence
    MTR20SR04PL03     200403     1
    MTS20SR04PL03     200403     1
    MTTCORE20SR04PL03     200403     1
    MTTREP20SR04PL03     200403     1
    15.     Choose   Save.
    16.     Choose Hierarchy Grouping (on the left pane of the browser under the Mobile Infrastructure menu tree).
    17.     Choose Create (on the right pane of the browser in the Hierarchy Group Tree section).
    18.     Enter a name in the Hierarchy Group Name field (for example, MTT_GROUP) and then choose the Create button.
    19.     Choose the Device Configurations tab in the Details for Selected Hierarchy Group section, and choose the Add/Remove button.
    20.     On the Search for Available Device Configurations, enter MTT_CONFIG and choose Search. In the Available Device Configurations, select MTT_CONFIG and choose the >> button to transfer the selection to the Assigned Device Configurations. Choose Save.
    21.     In the Users tab, in the Details for Selected Hierarchy Group section, choose the Add/Remove button to add users for the group similar to the instruction in Step 17.
    22.     Repeat steps 14 to 20 for the Device Configuration MTT_ADDON instead of MTT_CONFIG.
Now the problem i'm facing was at step 6 it has asked to create a new device but in my screen i was unable to trace where the create button was located at plz find the attached link of screen shot

I need help to begin some developments with the Mobile Time & Travel 1.6
I have to make read-only some fields of the main page of the Timesheet (for example the fields of the "OP" column [I think that it is the VORNR value ])
Which interface do I have to implement?IColumnModelCustomer or IColumnModel or others?
Can someone give me an example on this problem?

  • How to access the Mobile Time & Travel database tables?

How can I access the database tables stored in SAPMobileEngine\webapps\me\WEB-INF\wwwroot\te_data\customer\database_2_0\<name_of_declared_table>  ??
Formerly the tables were stored in ...\database as XML files and could be viewed with a standard texteditor. Now the files are stored in ...\database_2_0 as DAT files in a special format. How can I get access to the tables? (like longtext.dat or CATS_MY_TABLE_*.DAT)

    Michael,
Are you running MTT 1.6 SR2 Patch 03?
The database is in serialized format and you will have unserialized them by using Eclipse IDE (or NW Development Studio). This will convert it to xml format. But I think the application itself will need it to be serialized format.

  • Mobile Time and Travel  on a PDA with MAM

    Hi Everyone,
Can I deploy Mobile Time & Travel to a PDA instead of a Laptop?  We will be using a PocketPC Device for the application but not so sure if you can run Mobile Time & Travel and Mobile Asset Management with the same device.  Please advice.  Thanks.

    Hello Dai,
Mobile Time and Travel is really designed for laptops.  The UI would not be user-friendly on a PDA (always scrolling).

  • Mobile Time Sheet - group time

    All,
Our company would like to implement MTT (Mobile Time & Travel) with the ability to enter time for multiple employees at a time in MTS. We know that this function is driven by data entry profiles and is designed by SAP to allow single employee time entry. Has anyone faced this business requirement to adapt MTS for multiple employees (group time) or developed a Mobile Infrastructure applicatioj to address this functionality gap ?

    Hello Olivier,
As of version xMTT 2.0 SR4, this functionality is available. The application is available on SMP.
    I hope this helps,

  • Mobile Time and Travel supporting Device types

    Hi Mobile Guru's,
We would like to implement Mobile Time and Travel to our client. Currently they are using the PDA's. I have gone through installation guides of MTT and came to know that MTT is possible only for Laptops. Is my assumption is true? Please let me know. Actually our client wanted to implement MTT to their PDA's which they are currently using. Where can I get information that MTT supports which type of device types? Please help me.
    Thanks in advance.
    With best regards,
    Ameer Baba.

    Hi Ameer
The MTT application is supported only on Laptops and doesnt support PDAs and your assumption is absolutely true. More information on this can be obtained in the following link http://service.sap.com/instguides In this link navigate to Installations and Upgrades->Entry by Application Group->SAP xApps
->SAP xApps for Mobile Business->SAP XMTT.   Also the following notes will be useful for the latest version of MTT i.e 2.0 which is JSP based rather than MicroITS.
    892203 - Mobile Travel Expenses 2.0 - Composite Note
    892204 - Mobile Time Sheet 2.0 - Composite Note
942046 - Restrictions for Mobile Time Sheet 2.0
942044 - Restrictions for Mobile Travel Expenses 2.0

  • Building executabe for PDA takes enourmous time or hangs

I have an application consisting of 30 VIs. The depth of hierarchy is 6 levels and the average size of the single VI is 100kB. The size of my application should not be a problem for the PocketPC?
The application runs well in the desktop PC and the compiler does not to indicate errors when the execution target is PocketPC2002 or the emulator. However, when I try to build the executable for the PocketPC (Tools->Build for PDA...) everything seems to be ok, VIs are listed and no errors.
What I am wondering is a looooooong build time. It takes 30 minutes to build this application in 1.6GHz desktop computer. I think it is far too much! I am planning to have an PDA application which might have over 200 VIs - I won't
even guess how much it takes to build that!
Does this kind of extreme long build time indicate some kind of problem in the application? When I run this application in PDA (final size of the exe is 2MB) it stops its execution immediately (it should display some analysis results).
Then I made some minor modifications to the application and now the build process did not end after 2 hours (I restarted).
I have updated the PDA toolkit to 7.0f1.
    Any experiences of similar behavior?
    thanks,
    Wirer

I tested with another application which also had a similar hierarchical structure (30 VIs with depth of 6) but VI sizes were much smaller (average of 30kB). To build this application took 'only' two minutes!
If the size or complexity of the VIs can affect to the build time this dramatically, it would be useful to have some kind of time approximation for the build process before its start. At minimum there should be an information field along the progress bar which indicates the VI under processing. Current 'progress bar' does not give any information of the state of the total progress and if the build takes a long time, a bored developer might think that its stucked.

  • Does LV 7.0 PDA module support Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 software for PocketPC?

I am evaluating the possible use of PDA
that runs Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 software
for PocketPC and would like to know if the
LabVIEW 7.0 PDA module supports this software.
I am planning to scan barcodes with this PDA
and transmit this data over a WLAN to database.
    Thanks!

Depending on the Pocket PC PDA type it is practical to add a barcode reader attachment and then use this as keyboard input into the PDA. You can look at a Grabba barcode Reader attachment (www.grabba.com)
I work for Grabba in R&D and we are looking at demand in this area (which is why I was looking at the forum to try and determine whether a need exists).
If we can help you let us know. I would be interested in knowing where you think this will help you. We have our own ideas but input from the field is most welcome.
    cheers

  • Mobile Work-Station for SAP Business One

    Hello Everyone
As I am aware that most of you have seen already various mobile solutions that integrate to SAP B1, Amodat Mobile Work-Station is currently the only solution that offers a complete mobile work-station for the four main field functions of SAP Business one: sales/van-sales, service, CRM and warehouse management on PDAs and laptops in on-line/off-line environment.
We refer to those solutions as workstations, since they provide a COMPLETE working functionality for corporate users in the field with features such as full order, collection and distribution management (including invoicing and supporting multiple price lists), on the go inventory management, service calls dispatch optimization tools, document attachments to accounts and activities, GPS location and much more.
Although we have numerous R/3 customers, our main focused is the SME market where we can offer robust solutions for a very reasonable price. Since 2001 we have implemented through our partners hundreds of projects ranging from 5 to over 500 users across Europe, North America and Australia.
I will be happy to provide more information on the solutions and set up live demo if anybody is interested.

    Hi Jai,
I'll be happy to schedule a demo with you and your customer. I am not sure what is your time zone though and how to communicate directly with you. since we can not send email you could reach me through Linkedin Nir (Matan) Aharon. please add me to your contact list and let me know your email.

  • Using Lightroom Mobile as travel downloader/editor

    Friends,
I'm a new member of the Lightroom family.  I'd like to use Lightroom Mobile while traveling whereby I download RAWs (or RAWs and .jpegs) to my iPad, edit the images on my iPad, then easily sync/transfer those edits to my computer when I get home.  Is that possible?
    Thanks!
    Steve

I don't think it matters that the iPad isn't colour managed (and LrM isn't designed for it). OK, it might if you are brave or stupid enough to make exhibition quality prints without reviewing the image on a real computer. Instead the adjustments on the iPad are ball park, equivalent to Quick Develop, they give you time to think about the image, try out crops, rate and flag etc. Your time in front of a monitor is then spent on fine tuning.
An alternative workflow is possible if you get access to a real computer while you're travelling and if it has decent upload speeds. Log into your lightroom.adobe.com in a web browser and drag the photos from Explorer/Finder into a collection in the browser window. The raw file then uploads, and will be synced down to your computer when you get home. You can then make adjustments in LrMobile and avoid kludges like Syncomatic.
Personally, I think the small laptop is still the way to go. For now anyway.
