Mobile TV on N96 broken?

Hi there!
My N96 doesn't show mobile tv anymore!
Since a couple of days before christmas it won't connect to the provider.
I've got a valid subscription for it (24 months for free at KPN, Netherlands).
I called the technical support of the provider but they couldn't find a solution so far.
When I try to start the application (standard Nokia mobile tv app) it does everything it has to do except starting the connection.
Trying to renew my subscription gives me errorcode '-30342' and once I received '-3' and '-1' (last two could be a lack of connectivity).
A hard reset doesn't work, resetting the app doesn't work and my provider could tell me when I tried to renew the subscription (so it does send the messages).
So everything works... but my N96 just doesn't accept the renewed subscription of the provider(?).
So... throw out your ideas and I'll try them out here!

Hi,
I have no subscription for mobile tv channels, but there are 2 free channels being broadcasted in my city. I was able to view them when i had V10. When i updated to V11, it stopped working. I gave up trying to fix it because i couldnt find any solution. Didnt dare to update to V12 because it apparently didnt fix the TV problem and it comes in addition with terrible battery drainage problem.

Mobile Account Sync inherently broken?

Hey guys I've got a setup with 2008 R2 servers running active directory domain services and distributed file system. I've got all of my macs bound to the directory for network authentication and local user login with mobile accounts being created on login. We've been having some really poor performance with the sync, it will simply stop syncing and provide no warning to the user. I've also noticed files becoming "hidden". Anyone else experience this or have a better way to set up?

also, check ~/Library/Logs/FileSync/FileSyncAgent-Verbose.log and logs in ~/Library/Logs/FileSyncAgent/ on the client and/or server homedir.

How to find my own mobile number on N96

How do i find my own phone number on the N96? I have an old sim card and do not know the phone number for it. I cant ring another phone as it has no credit. Thanks

I don´t know for sure if there is a way to do it yourself if your own number isn´t within the contacts, but what you can do for sure is go or call the operator and tell them the SIM card number. With that they´ll be able to tell you the phone number.

Mobile Home Sync damaged my settings. iCloud Keychain only partially restored. What can I do?

Mobile Home Sync (I'm using Mobile Accounts from OS X Server) on my desktop suddenly started syncing what it should not, all stuff that is normally excluded from a PHD sync, such as contents in Library. I stopped it, but not fast enough to prevent all damage. One thing that was damaged was the 'lock screen with password on sleep' setting and apparently as a result of that (or a combination of that) the iCloud Keychain was gone.
I was able (after some trouble, the Security & Privacy tab of System Preferences came up blank at first) to set the password on unlock from sleep, then I reattached the iCloud keychain. But the keychain only has a small part of what was in there and many passwords of web sites seem to be lost. Also interestingly, when trying to login to this community, some sort of iPhoto/Flickr login/password was suggested.
I also have a laptop that was not damaged. Is there a way I can get the keychain from there and use it to repair the keychain on the desktop?
PS. Apple: can you please after years and years of neglect repair Mobile Accounts and Portable Home Directories? iCloud is not only far from complete for that (a half-ready solution if at all) and it also means your data is synced outside of your domain (which is not always legally allowed). Mobile Accounts is so broken that I have started to use Synk to make sure some parts (such as the iPhoto Library) still can be synced to the server. And (as the above shows) it is quite capable of damaging the data on your system (rather a definite no on my list).

Adding to this: the autofill information in Safari is lost as well. Can I copy that over from another machine?

Can't download mobile DVR app for BlackBerry Storm

Seems like the Verizon download link (m.verizon.com/tv/download) to the mobile DVR app is broken??? Get the terms page, but after hitting "agree" the file transfer fails. Have tried several times for a day or so... no joy.

What phone or tablet is it as while it has 2.3+ it may have some performance issues.

My nokia mobile has just been broken and cannot be switched on. I recorded my friend's phone numbers in a Nokia PC Suite file. I'd like to transfer those data to my new nokia phone (I haven't bought it yet, but it won't be the same because mine is not available anymore (6131, too old allegedly)). Can files related to my nokia 6131 can be transferred to another nokia phone compatible with PC suite (or Ovi suite) ? cause I read somewhere that my PC suite contact file version is related to my 6131, and it could happen that my new phone won't recognize the file I saved.

Nokia n96 heating

i don't know if this is the right thread, but when i use garmin xt mobile in nokia n96 for about 1 hour the battery starts heating when i plug it to charge in car then the battery starts cooling sometimes i think i will break my phone using garmin, i had n95 8gb i was using it the same way with garmin when n95 was burned inside completely, so is it safe to charge the phone non stop in car driving and navigating. i contacted nokia support and they said that this is normal so if u ask me it is normal for e phone to burn.:manmad:

I presume you have an X5 E70.
I had the exact same problem with you at the start.
I had to delete the pairing on both idrive and phone and then re-pair about 5 or 6 times before it finally worked and it has worked ever since. Cannot explain how that works but it did and has worked well since. One tip, after pairing, do not use the phone for a few minutes to allow the contacts to download. You can use the menu on the idrive to scroll down the alphabets to ensure all is downloaded first.
Every now and then there appears to be some kind of conflict between the bluetooth and the HUD and the mic stops working. Disabling and reenabling the bluetooth on the phone seems to fix it.

Cannot log into youtube or facebook apps

As of this morning, I cannot log into my accounts on these 2 apps. This is in my home, using the same wifi network that my computer uses, where I'm able to access these accounts normally via my macbook. Everything else seems to be accessing the internet via wifi normally without problems.
I understand youtube had some problems last night - maybe their mobile portal is still broken - anyone know?

Replacing my phone

If my phone broke and I needed to get it replaced, could I just get a new one from the store or would it have to be sent to me in the mail?

Generally manufacturers don't cover the physical and liquid damages of mobile phone except if you receive your parcel which had broken item. Means, if you receive your mobile phone which had broken already then you can claim for a new one otherwise you can try your luck by requesting the showroom guys from where you purchased it.

HT1688 I have a damaged I-Phone and I need the contents of my calendar off of it. I did not have Mobile me at the time. Can I swap out the sim card from the broken phone to a new phone and recover this calendar?

I have an older I-Phone (3G) that for some reason the body of the phone has split in two. This phone was a business phone and it had a lot of important information on it. I have a second phone that is also a 3G. On the broken phone there is a lot of important information that I need in my calendar. Im not worried about anything else but the calendar. I didn't have the Mobile Me account at that time or I would be having this problem. Does anybody know if I can ust switch out the sim cards. I just need to recover the old calendar, so im hoping that the calendar will transfer when I switch the sim card into the good 3G. If that doesn't work does anybody know of anyway that I can retrieve this information off of this phone?

Nothing is stored on the sim card on an iPhone. If you backed up to your computer the backup will contain your calendar events. Otherwise, if your phone isn't functioning there is no way to back up or extract your calendar at this point.

Mobile IconItemRenderer broken for iconFields?

I have a mobile application needing IconItemRenderer to list a bunch of lines,
each with their own icon (depending on some item state), which is exactly what IconItemRenderer is designed for.
1) in the itemRenderer, i can define a right-hand decorator icon (but it is always the same for every line):
              decorator="@Embed(source='icons/xyz.png')"/>
- - that works in desktop and Mobile application
2) I can add dataProvider items to the list, defining thier *individual* left-hand icon and label:
              myCollection.addItem( {"name":"someText" ,"image":"@Embed(source='icons/xyz.png')" } );
-- that displays properly in desktop SWT *if* the icon is
             "icons/xyz.png"
-- but *not* if the icon is
             "@Embed(source='icons/xyz.png')"
-- and no format works for mobile SWT

Broken iPhone Replacement + Mazuma Mobile?

Recently broke my iPhone 3GS by water damage. The phone no longer turns on, and the screen is also damaged. I visited an Apple store to find out about warranty and replacement etc.. Because the phone was damaged by water, it is therefore out of warranty and therefore will cost to £120 to replace. However, i checked on mazuma mobile how much i would get for my broken iPhone and they gave me a quote of £80. I was just wondering if anyone knows that whether Apple will want my broken phone back, when replacing it, or would i be able to sell it and use the money to pay for the replacement cost?

Yes, you have to return the entire phone to be eligible for an out of warranty replacement.

Broken T-mobile 8220 flex cable (hinge) need help finding parts

Hey folks. Nice forum here !
My 8220 was working nicely until I broke the phone in half (I had anger issues I guess ! ) Anyways the the flex cable is broken now. THe hinge is fine as I snapped it back together and it operates normaly. The phone is otherwise in great shape. Are there readily avaible parts for this thing ? Should I keep checking ebay for a parts phone ?
I would realy like to fix this phone if possible ! Thanks in advance everyone !   Its a t-mobile btw.

You can try eBay. I would contact the guys at Horizon Wireless for the part, if they have it.
