Mobile version of forum?

Guys, is there a mobile version of this forum?
Everytime i try to load this forum from my phone, it takes forever.  I could click on topics and stuff but the page just loads endlessly.

A mobile version of this forum is planned. I've heard that it should be ready around April some time, but I don't have an exact date.
Was this post helpful? If so, please click on the white "Kudos!" star below. Thank you!

  • Mobile version of the forum now available!

I am happy to tell you that we have just launched a mobile-friendly version of this forum!
It works automatically by detecting your device and browser, so just visit www.nokia.com/discussions (or any local Nokia site's forum url) on your phone, and you should get this lighter and faster version.
You can use all main forum functionalities: register and login, browse all topics, start new ones and reply. You can create your own mobile signature that's only shown to other mobile users.
This is our first version and we haven't tested it with every Nokia model, so please tell us what you think - do you like it, is something not working, what would you like to see added in the future..?
EDIT - Seems like we just found our first bug - for some odd reason some of the text was displayed white on a white background, so some of the posts were unreadable.
We're working on this, and I've just switched off the mobile view for a while.
I wrote all my posts from 2005-2011 as an "Admin" for this community. I still work for Nokia as an external consultant, so my rank in all posts is now "Employee".

i've also tested the mobile version of the site on my N82.. it seems nice but when i login, it directs me for a little to the full version of the site and then automatically to the mobile version.
We've noticed the same - it seems that the Nokia site's header is loaded before the browser is detected and the mobile version is switched on. I hope we can do something about this.

  • [solved]Mobile version of the forum

After doing a quick search (sorry if this have been requested already), I didn't find a thread regarding that.
I think it would be awesome to have a mobile version of the forum similar to this one

  • Mobile version of community

    Hi Everyone
I am pleased to announce that based on the feedback we got from community members we have decided to reinstate the mobile version of the community.  So you can now access the forums on the move again!
It is important to remember that the mobile version does not provide all the forums’ features and functionality, but it is a scaled- down mobile-optimised version.  This will allow you to access the community and perform key tasks on the move, such as reading, creating and replying to posts.
See below for our Frequently Asked Questions about the mobile version of the community.
    Thx
    Kerry
Frequently Asked Questions for accessing the community on a mobile device:
How do I access the community on my mobile device?
You should use the same URL you use to access the main community – www.bt.com/community
What devices can I use to access the community?
You can use any mobile device to access the community, but the user experience is optimised on devices which use a WebKit browser, including AppleWebKit for iPhone and Android, S60 Webkit for Nokia, and  IE Mobile for HTC.  To optimise the mobile experience on Blackberry and other devices, Opera Mini can be downloaded, which will enhance the way the community looks on your device. Further details on device compatibility and suggested browsers is included at the end of this FAQ message.
What tasks can I complete on the mobile version?
The mobile version is intended to keep you up to date with the community when you are on the move.  This means that key functionality is available, but you cannot perform all functions that are available on the main site.  Key tasks you can complete are as follows:
    Sign in/out of community
    View boards, threads, and  messages
    Create new thread
    Reply to existing threads
    Mark messages as read/unread
    Give ratings
    Send and receive private messages
    Search the community
Follow other members (add to friends); See who is following you
    Change certain mobile settings:
    Turn on/off private messages
Subscribe to topics I post to
    Create a mobile specific signature
    View your profile
    View existing bookmarks
Link back to main bt.com site and Help site
Why can’t I do everything on the mobile version as I would on the desktop version?
The mobile version is intended for ‘on the move’, easy access to key functionality of the community.  Access on a mobile device needs to be quick to load and easy to read on small screens, so we have removed some of the extra features and functionality you normally see on the main site in order to achieve this.  For example, the modules you see on the right hand side of the main site such as ‘top rated posts’ are not available on the mobile version as there is not enough space on the screen.
How does it work?  If I post on the mobile version will it update on the main site?
Yes – the mobile version links directly into the main community site so any posts, replies, and PMs that you send will automatically be updated on the main site.
Do you plan to add any more functionality to the mobile version in future?
There are no immediate plans to add any further functionality than what exists in the current version.  However, we are always looking to make improvements to any services we offer so if you have specific feedback on additional functionality you would like to see on the mobile version, please send me a PM.
What should I do if I have any problems using the mobile version?
If you have any problems using the mobile version we would recommend posting your query in the Forum Guidance and Ideas board when you’re with your PC so other members can give support and advice.  The moderator team can also respond here if needed.
    How secure is my data?
User details are stored securely and encrypted in the community system.  The mobile version of the community is subject to the same tests as the rest of the community site and was implemented using the same security best practices.  Members are reminded that they can control what profile information is viewable by others via their user settings.
    Device compatibility chart
This table shows which device and browser combinations are supported and provide the best mobile experience:
    Device
     Browser required
    iPhone
    Apple WebKit
    Android
    Apple WebKit
    Nokia
    S60 WebKit
    HTC
    IE Mobile
If you have other mobile device/browser combinations we suggest that you download Opera mini as your browser to get the best mobile experience of the forums.

  • Blog pages to show on desktop and mobile versions

I have a domain hosting separate desktop and mobile versions.  I need to have the blog posts show on both versions.
Posts such as http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1217947 state that I can define separate mobile and desktop templates for the Announcement module (although I can't see the option anywhere).  Is there something similar to the blog module?

    Hi,
You need to upload the mobile or tablet version of your template along with the desktop version as mentioned in this article and based on the device, the corresponding template will be served automatically :http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/partner/creating-mobile-tablet-friendly-templates .html

  • How can I set 100% width my slideshow on mobile version

    Hello!
It's been a while I needed to ask this question here but a huge problem of authentication from ADOBE forum took months to be solved by them.
Anyway, I have a website made with muse (desktop). I tried to decline it in tablet and photo version as it said ti be easy from abode muse team video.
But the sideshow photo don't behave in the mobile version as expected.
    http://demis.nu/phone/modeles.html
the worse is the landscape orientation. The photos are just to big for the screen.
I tried 100% width, and cancelled it, I tried to resize the size of the photo to fit the both sides of the page...anyway, anything I tried wasn't satisfying.
I know the solution is to make it responsive but I couldn't be able to find the way to do it in Muse.
I tried the demo of muse in the early hours (2011) and years after it's obvious the adobe muse team have understood responsive design rules everything and I'm sure they implemented it but can't find it.
Can someone give me a help please because the phone version is online and is horrible.
    thank you so much.

No one could help me please?

  • JQuery Mobile version

I'm trying to use ThemeRoller to theme my LS-application. In an article I found the following about choosing the JQuery Mobile version in ThemeRoller: "Switch to version 1.1.1 (or whatever version of JQuery Mobile that is in the Default.htm file
    of the LightSwitch website)."
    The ThemeRoller list contains "1.4.5", "1.3.2", "1.2.1", .....
I have the following in my Default.htm
    <script type="text/javascript" src="Scripts/jquery.mobile-1.3.0.min.js"></script>
How should the above be interpreted?
What "JQuery Mobile" version of ThemeRoller should be safe to use?
How safe is it to use a newer version in ThemeRoller than is used in my Default.htm?
Is it safe to update Default.htm in LS to eg. "jquery.mobile-1.4.5..." ?
    Regards Roger.
PS. Probably no absolute correct answer to this question, but any advice appreciated.

Give 1.3.2 a try. The differences between the versions typically do not affect LightSwitch but you have to try a theme and test.

  • OT: Mobile Jive Adobe Forum

I just went to the forum on my iPhone while at lunch. I was surprised to see the mobile version. I have a few observations.
First, there's no way to log-in or to reply to the threads.
Second, it is so slow loading that I thought the phone had crashed.
Third, there's no option for smart devices to use the full web based view.
Fourth, it is so slow, did I mention that?
Fifth, as far as I know the forum worked just fine on the iPad, iPhone, even iPpod touch, and even on the Android (no direct experience here) so why the change?
Sixth, many placed images and placed videos don't show up.You just get an error code for the images. Makes it real hard to answer questions.
While I was writing this post somehow I stumbled on a page that showed all recent posts from all forums. The tab at the top says Everyone. You get there by using the back button. There was a log-in button at the top but the log-in isn't working. The funny thing about this home page is that it is very fast, but there's also no way to get from that apparent mobile home page to specific forum. Please give us the option to use the standard web view. The mobile version with a modern smart phone is a total waste of forum resources.
I guess that's it. I tried to find the general forum discussions but couldn't locate it. Please forgive the noise on the AE forum and feel free to move it to the appropriate forum.

An attempt to edit the above post from the iPhone yielded the error "You are using a device with which you can only add content.  You'll need to use a computer instead."
However, I was able to make this post from the iPhone.
I guess that's a fancy way of saying the Advanced Editor doesn't work on an iPhone.
    Just plain weird.

  • Is it true that Firefox v11 will fully suport Adobe Flash and when are you going to make a mobil version of Thunderbird.

I going purchase an HTC Merge soon and would like to know if Firefox v11 will fully support Adobe Flash and if I decide to use v10 right now would this method work https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-mobile-doesnt-support-flash?e=es&as=aaq if I wanted to watch flash videos on lets say on Vimeo's website also are there any plans for a Mobil version of Thunderbird? I'm a avid user of Thundrbird and would love to have on my Android phone.

Thanks that's what I thought I heard but wanted to make certain that it was true and its also nice to know that FFv10 works on Vimeo one last thing I did make a post about Mobil Thunderbird on the official TB support forums if you or anyone you know also would like to see TB for Mobile Devices go to my post.

By the way I also heard that FFv11 or v12 will have its own speed dial if so will it be like Josep del Rio's speed dial extension by that I mean were its fully customizable for example you could add new groups or decide how many rows/columns you want to have.

  • Mobile versions of supported GTX cards?

    Hello all,
Apologies in advance if this is a dumb question. I searched the forums but could not find an answer.
I've noticed that the supported cards for GPU acceleration include the GeForce GTX 570 and GTX 580. Does this mean that mobile versions of those cards are also supported out-of-the-box?
(I'm aware of the debate around modifying the text file of supported cards; I'm still curious to know whether these would officially be supported.)
Or are the Quadro xxxxMs the only officially supported mobile graphics cards?
    Thank you!

You can get an inkling of operational M video cards, that may not be 'supported', but do work after applying the hack, by going to Benchmark Results and selecting Laptops under the tab Computer type. That shows you 50 laptops today, and all that have a score with MPE On greater than 0 have hardware MPE enabled.
Hint: First select Laptops, then sort on 'MPE On' by clicking on the column header and scroll down till all the 0 scores are out of view.

  • How do I add desktop view option to mobile version

I have a website with a desktop & mobile version. I would like to add an option to the mobile version to view the desktop version on their phone and then a way for them to get back to their mobile version. What's the best way to do this. I tried this using hyperlinks but found that after viewing the desktop on my phone it stayed on desktop view after returning to the mobile platform. Do I just add a hyperlink to the desktop version to get back to the mobile version?

As an update, I installed an update 5.7on my Mac laptop, now the Lightroom 5.0 has become a "Lightroom Mobile" version.  How can change it back to the laptop version 5.7?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

LR on your laptop is still a desktop version.  It is just now able to upload to the cloud to replicate photos to either http://lightroom.adobe.com/ or an iPad that has LR Mobile installed.
I think you probably just want to change the LR 5 identity plate back so it doesn’t mention LR Mobile all the time.  Hover over the identity-plate area, and click on the little triangle that appears, then choose Change Identity Plate.
