MobileMe account not recognized on AppleTv.

Hi All Expert's.
I have just received my new AppleTv, but when I try to log into my MobileMe account, I get the message, that my account is not recognized! How can that be? My account is very much in function (and paid for), so why does my AppleTv not recognize my MobileMe account?

My AppleTv are not recognized in my iTunes. It does not show. Why? I can steam my iTunes and it's working, but shouldn't it be seen in my iTunes?

what are you entering? you only need to enter your username (and not @me.com)

    I have an AppleTV with Software 4.3(2557).  I have tried to add my MobileMe account, but my username is not being recognized.  I have tried both the username itself and the [email protected] exactly as it appears when I sign onto me.com from my computer, neither is accepted.  I do have a Public folder that is not password protected.  Any idea why AppleTV can't find my account?

    For the avoidance of doubt you need to enter the username without the @me.com
    Do you use anything other than alphanumerical characters in either the username or password.
    You also need to have published public galleries for mobile me to work with the Apple TV.

  • MetaX rating tags not recognized by appleTV

    i used metaX to add meta data some movies... all the info (actors, directors, chapter names etc) and the rating show up in iTunes and in FrontRow. but only some of the info appears on appleTV.
    parental controls which are based on ratings don't seem be recognized by the appleTV... i set the parental controls to ask for a password for anything over a G rating, but R rated movies were not recognized and no password was asked for.. the movie just played. i have one iTunes purchased movie that is an 18A that gets screened properly and a password is asked for when it it clicked on.
    has anyone had any luck with getting parental controls to work properly with rating added with metaX.

    looks like the ratings tag is made up of different elements as you suggest...
    in frontRow the metaX tagged ratings display beside the title name when you scroll over a movie and wait... along with all the other stuff... artwork, title, actors, producer etc... and in iTunes
    but for iTunes music store purchased movies, iTunes 8.0 displays the rating beside the name in the movies list but frontRow does NOT display the rating as it did for the metaX tagged movie
    so there is more than one element that make the rating appear...
    summary of tags that show up...
    iTunes: Artwork, Title, Rating, Description, Actors, --Director, Producers--, Genre, Release, Length(not a tag), Chapter Names

  • Lenovo Forum Account Not Recognized, But Cannot Use Same Account Information

    I previously created a Lenovo forum account, however it was not recogonized when I attempted to sign in to the forums with it. So, I started to recreate it using the same e-mail address. I was able to use the same e-mail address, received the verification e-mail, clicked the verification link, and was prompted to enter a user name and e-mail address. I attempted to use my previous user ID that I was just told did not exists (hence needing to recreate an account) and was told that the ID already existed. Okay, fine I made up a new one. I was also promted to enter an e-mail address. Um, okay. So I tried entering my e-mail address and was told that the e-mail addres was already in use. Huh? How could my old accound both not exist and exist? But I cannot request any help until I have an account. So I created a completely different account using a different e-mail address and user ID. Why did not my original account not work, and am I going to have to go through this again the next time I need to access the forums?  

    Your first account has not been associated with a LenovoID, the other two have.  The LenovoID is actually the email address you used to create that LenovoID and not your forum user name.
    When you click on Sign In at the top of the forum you will be presented with the LenovoID screen, see the picture in point 3 in this knowledgebase article.  In the immediately visible fields please enter the email and password used when creating your second or third LenovoID accounts which may be different to those used on the forum registration page picture under point 4; this will then automatically log you into the forums with the user name which was associated with that LenovoID.
    If you wish for your original member name, DGDCTP, to be associated with the LenovoID created for account 2 or 3 please let us know and we can arrange this for you.

  • Gallery's UN/PW not recognized by AppleTV

    I uploaded a gallery to MobileMe via iPhoto and password protected it as well. It is accessible via Safari on my iMac so I know the UN/PW combo is valid.
    But when I go into my AppleTV and access the gallery via MobileMe there, the UN/PW doesn't let me view it. It says its invalid.
    I've entered it numerous times and I've gone back to Safari to make sure it still worked.
    Why can't I access a protected gallery via MobileMe in AppleTV?

    Reader Gerrie E. Cooper has a stash of old floppies that contain fonts from Adobe, Agfa, and other companies. It’s bad enough that the fonts are stored on this prehistoric media, but said media is of the 800KB variety. He wonders what course to take.
    I’m afraid that the answer is to find an old Mac (an SE on up to a beige Power Mac G3 will do the trick), insert the floppies into that Mac’s drive, create disk images of the floppies, and then copy the images to the current Mac. Third-party USB floppy drives support 1.4MB HD floppies but not double-density 800KB disks.

    I just got AppleTV and plugged it from the HDMI to the my reciever then from the reciever to the TV. The TV did not recognize it. Then I went directly from the AppleTV to the TV. Still not being recognized. It simply does nothing.  I need help...

    Of course you have plugged your Apple TV into the mains so I suspect that you need to select the input on your TV's remote control. Mine has a button marked AV. Press the button (AV) and cycle through the options, then your Appe TV will show on your telly - as long as it's little light is on.
    With regard to your receiver, I would think that it is simply an issue of selecting the correct input on that.
    Also, sometimes, TV's are a little slow at recognising a new signal.

  • IWeb '08 Site - Published to MobileMe Account - Not Viewable by Others

    I'm new to iWeb. I created a simple site with a few pages, and then "Published All" to MobileMe. When I view the site, it looks fine. When others try, they get the "Are you looking for something on MobileMe?" page. I have looked at the "site inspector" to be sure that the site is not "private".
    I've been reading and reading and can't find a solution. Is there a trick to this?

    I got to your site using both of those addresses.
    People are probably missing a dash or missing the correct capitalizations. If any of those capitalized letters are typed in lowercase you get that "looking for something" page.
    If you want people to be able to type in a simple web address to get to your site, you probably need to acquire a simpler domain name ( from Go Daddy for instance) and then point it to your mobile me account.
    I have two domain names registered: www.phelpssculpture.com & www.phelpsculpture.com ( one has two s's and one has only one) these are registered with Go Daddy and point to my mobileme website:
    http://web.me.com/phelpssculpture/Site/home.html
    So on a business card I can put the simpler PhelpsSculpture.com and people reach my site by typing that into there web browser. The capitalization doesn't seem to matter on the GoDaddy shortened address, but it does seem to matter if you miss capitalize the mobileme address.

    I saw Chris' reply to you below as well. I could be wrong, but I believe what he is trying to clarify is that as long as it's not a card that says "Digital Album" on it. Those are cards that have content on them instead of balance.
    Now if your card is a $25.00 card, then I'm pretty certain it is a regular iTunes gift card.
    First thing to check. When you go to iTunes home page, on the upper-left hand corner, next to your account name (most likely your email), do you see a balance there (i.e. $25.00). If you do not, then logout of iTunes and re-log back in. You should see a balance other than $0, then when you purchase, it would use that balance first.
    Try that and let me know if you still get the error.

  • Making changes in a User's account, my admin's account not recognized

    Just upgraded A Quicksilver 2002 G4 to Leopard from Panther.
    Used Upgrade and everything worked amazingly well. I'm the admin, my wife & daughter are users.
    All three of us can log in using the names and passwords we have always used
    Only trouble is: when in a user account and making system preference changes and am consequently asked for an administrator name and password, it will not accept my administration name and password - says I've entered an incorrect user name & PW.
    The Admin name is in this form: XXX, Xxxx
    The password is an 8-digit alphanumeric string.
    Could the comma-then-space of the Admin name be throwing off my ability to make the necessary System Preference changes?
    I can't figure it out. Should I change my user name and password? Why is this happening?
    Any help appreciated.

    Are you trying to make these changes in your admin account or in one of the other standard accounts when logged into them? You cannot log into, say, your daughter's account and make changes to her account preferences without authenticating. You also cannot access her files and folders from your admin account.
    On the other hand if you are trying to make all these changes while logged into your administrator account, then it is likely there's a problem with the keychain. You could try this:
    Assuming that you are using a recent build of OS X, go to /Applications/Utilities and launch the app called Keychain Access. Go to the Window pulldown menu and select "Keychain First Aid". Enter your password, set the radio button to "Repair", and click "Start".

  • Administrator account not recognized

    Trying to change settings and I've been typing in the administrator account name and password and this keeps coming up: "You must type an administrators name and password to make changes to system preferences". After multiple attempts I get the "too many attempts" dialogue box. When I look at the accounts list, my account name is listed as "sandard" not "admin". I'm using an iMac with OS X 10.5.8. I've seen this question regarding MacBooks but not the iMac.

    When I go to enter the new password after starting up with the leopard volume and clicking on the "other...." it asks for a user name and password. What user name do I put in? I know that the password is the new one that I set.

    FYI 12:13: messages sent this morning from my BT e-mail account to a BT sub-account are not arriving (usually instantaneous), e.g., a 'bcc' message sent 2 hours ago has yet to arrive, and likewise for more recent direct messages.

  • Premium account not recognized

    I just upgraded to the premium account, but when I'm in Skype for PC there is a hover over on the phone icon that says I can make calls to my friends mobile or landline at low rates.  The premium account allows me to call for no cost, right?  If i log into my account via the web site, it shows premium status there.  Doesn't the software know that I'm on premium?  

    I purchased a Premium account on Feb 14, 2014, which was paid for on the same day according to my bank records.  I have not been able to use the group video call feature since then (and, yes, I do have the latest version of Skype on my Mac and my husband's PC).  When I attempt to add a second person to my video chat calls, I get a pop up page saying that I need a premium account... and there's no indication on my account page crediting my sign up or payment.
    I was able to access the Live Chat feature to see if someone could help, only to get a "We're experiencing problems, try the Community Support page" message.
    Does anyone know how to get in touch with someone at Skype who can give me the service for which I've paid?

  • BT Wifi account not recognized

    I hope this is in the right area
    We signed up for BT Broadband on the 05th March 2013, I chose an email address and wrote it down. It is going to be installed on 25th.
    The day after that I successfully connected and logged into my local BT Wifi hotspot using those same details.
    It must have been about a week ago now it stopped working. I can now no longer login to BT Wifi as my username and password aren't being recognized. When I try and reset my password on BT website, it says the address/username isn't recognized
    Any ideas?
