MobileMe deleted, but wont go away

After our MobileMe family account expired (was not renewed), I deleted the MobileMe email account from the Settings of my iPhone. While it's gone from Settings, the MobileMe is still showing up in the Mail app (both under Accounts and Inboxes).
As a result, I periodically get an error message stating that the password for the MobileMe account is incorrect.
Any ideas on how to delete it?

ipad froze up when i was updating itunes with ipad plugged into computer. now ipad just shows a picture of a cord with an arrow pointing to the itunes logo. does anyone know how to free up my ipad. ive tried unpluggin it and plugging it back in to itunes but nothing unfreezes it.

Try and force iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

That error is usually a hardware error. Make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and have it checked.

I delete a specific cookie and it automatically reappears. How do i permanently delete a cookie? I do not go on the website, but the cookie wont go away.

I went in and deleted my cookies and I closed my options and then went back in and one in particular was back. So, I completely closed FireFox, re-opened it and left it on the blank FireFox homepage. Then I went in and deleted said cookie again, but no matter how many times I delete it, it just re-appears. I am not going onto that website, it just wont go away.

I was deleting all my cookies except for the 5 or 6 that are from websites I visit daily. I went in and deleted ALL cookies and the above cookie successfully deleted.

I cant seem to get rid of an available download that do not want. I delete it but it wont go away and it is causeing my os update to error. This fast and furious dwnld is making me furious fast! lol

Added Face smooch with Youtube downloader by mistake. Uninstalled both but face smooch will not go away. Reloaded face smooch, per website, and it still wont go away. Its not on CC Cleaner either.

In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please do the following:

#Once the Add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the ''Extensions'' button on the left side of the window.
#You should now see a list of your installed extensions on the right side together with buttons on the right side of each extension.
#To remove an extension from Firefox, simply click the ''Remove'' button. You should see a message that informs you about the successful removal of the add-on.
#Note that some add-ons require a Firefox restart to be removed completely. To perform a Firefox restart after the add-on removal, click the ''Restart now'' link in the message.

OK - I am trying to be rude either, just very frustrated.
I hope the OP is not put off and for her benefit I will post this.
If you are looking for galleries and have an otherwise functioning ATV2 read no further.
If you are trying to get your unit to work because:
1) You have selected to send feedback to Apple and then wanted to key in your mobile me address and failed, or
2) Tried to set the iTunes store by using your me address, because they are the same, or
3) You are trying to set up home sharing using your mobile me address
then as part of the set up process you will, having keyed in your .me address and password, have got the message that your mobile me account can not be found.
If you look under the general section, you have the option to set time zone. If this shows Cupertino and you have selected either "automatic time setting" or keyed in another town not on Pacific ST and you are not in Cupertino then date and time have not set.
You can unplug the unit and leave for a few minutes, you can select to reset and restore. You can check that your router allows access to the necessary ports (typically 53, 80, 123, 443, 3689 and UDP 5353).
If your Apple TV on reset and opening the ports, still hangs at "setting date and time," then you are one of a group of people being blocked access for some reason that is not being shared openly - other than my comment above about server issues at Apple's end. This is not malicious but just repeating information posted on this and other fora. I can not confirm or deny, but when every other option has been discounted then only certain solutions remain.
I wish you luck in getting your ATV to work as it should.
PS I don't think cables are an issue here as you obviously are seeing something on the screen to see that you can't log in.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

HT200047 when watching a movie sub titles keep popping up and wont go away unless I stop the movie and restart it. I have sub titles and closed caption off but it still comes up.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable

If Wi-Fi is greyed out, it is not possible to backup to iCloud.
If the device is backed up to iTunes and contacts, calendars, notes, etc are synced to a supported application or cloud service, and media and pictures are on the computer, then a restore will not cause any data to be lost.
