MobileMe Gallery Issue - Still There

I am unable to view one of my two albums in my MobileMe Gallery on my iPhone 4 using the Gallery app. So far Apple Support has had me RESTORE my iPhone, delete and re-add my MobileMe account on my iPhone, and delete and re-install the Gallery app on my iphone. This was reported previously with the iphone 3, and the discussion "archived", even though it was never answered: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2565488

Hi,
Open System Preferences / MobileMe then select the Sync tab then click the Advanced tab.
Click: Reset Sync Data... then click Done.
Connect your iPhone to your Mac, select the Info tab in iTunes then click the Sync button bottom right side of the iTunes window.

Oh I've found it meanwhile! The is a 2nd post! So never mind this one! I think lawyerhusain understood he has to let Apple know, if he wants them to know and the technical thing will continue with the 2nd post!

  • MobileMe gallery is still publishing to my iPhone - how to I stop it, please??

I was having a tidy-up of my iPhone today and realised I have several albums in 'Photos' which derive from an old MobileMe account I had which published photos to my iPhone.  Aperture is not publishing to MobileMe, so I can't stop it from there.  You cannot delete the albums on the iPhone.  iDisk is no longer available and you can't access MobileMe any longer.  How can I stop MobileMe from publishing, please???

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID.

You will need to use that Apple ID to update the Apps purchased with it.

To my knowledge the firmware update was supposed to solve this problem!

  • Migrated to iCloud, MobileMe sync menulet still there

  • MobileMe gallery switched syncing from Aperture to iPhoto

I had an album on Aperture that synced with MobileMe. Friends added photos via email and via web upload, and all was good. Until one day when the Aperture web album was gone. MobileMe album was still there, but it says (under Info) that it's syncing with iPhoto (which I haven't used in 4 years). So I load up iPhoto and, voila, it starts syncing.
How can I tell MobileMe to sync with original Aperture? This is a real pain.

Actually this is an Aperture issue since this problem only occurs when I export and then import files from aperture into iphoto 08. When I import files off a disk or external compact flash disk directly into iphoto 08 and then upload to the web gallery they retain the same file size yet the files that were brought over from aperture somehow loose there size once they go to the gallery. Interstingly enough the file size of versions brought over from aperture appear to remain in tact in iphoto but drop off once on the web???? Does this have anything to do with Versions as reference files...but if so how does one retain the chaanges made in aperture to a master file and export it to iphoto 08 and then on to the web and still retain some semblance of file size??? Note I already did enable downloading prior to uploading to the gallery.. HELP!

  • How does one log out of MobileMe Gallery in iPhoto '09?

I need to erase all personal data from an office Mac laptop.  I've been able to successfully log out of MobileMe in System Preferences, but I cannot "log out" of my MobileMe Gallery in iPhoto.  I'm running iPhoto '09 and it continues to my MobileMe Gallery photos in the sidebar.  I've followed some of the other suggestions (trying to sign in to MobileMe with a fake name and password), but the MobileMe Gallery photos still appear in iPhoto.
    I'm running 10.6.8
    iPhoto '09 8.1.2

I'm sorry, but none of this has worked.  I still want to keep my MobileMe Gallery.  I just don't want the photos displayed on this particular MacBook Pro since it belongs to my office.
There are no folders in the sidebar.  There are no photos in the Library.  All I have is the subheading "MobileMe Gallery" and a list of all the albums in my gallery.  If I click on any of them, I get an error message "an error occurred with the publication of album... Your MobileMe account information is not correct..."
I've logged out of MobileMe in System Prefs.  So, why would the MobileMe Gallery even show up in iPhoto?
Also, in iPhoto Prefs, there is no tab for syncing.
I've deleted preferences for iPhoto.  I don't know what else to do.

  • How to add uploaded photos (not from aperture) in Mobileme Gallery to a project

I shared some photos using a mobileme gallery where I allowed friends to upload their photos to the gallery.  Now the gallery exists with both the photos from my aperture library (and project) and my friends photos (which appear in aperture with a little symbol).
I would like to have the photos that were uploaded by my friends to be added to a new project without moving or erasing them in the mobileme gallery.  Is there a simple way to do this? I know if I select photos from a project and drag and drop them to another project aperture moves the photos but I don't know if this is how aperture handles mobileme galleries in the inspector.
    Jeff

Just drag an image from the MobileMe Gallery to a project it will copy the image, not move it. Aperture will move images that are stored locally in the library but since these images uploaded by friends are only stored on the MobileMe servers, Aperture will make a copy when you drag them to a project.

  • MobileMe Gallery delay to AppleTV?

I just uploaded a movie to my MobileMe Gallery, but it isn't showing in my AppleTV MobileMe gallery. Is there a delay in showing up in AppleTV? I

Yes, videos I upload from iMovie show up there.
Solved it. I accidentally clicked Hide in the iMovie settings. Shows up now.

  • Publish movie to MobileMe Gallery

I know you can use iMovie 08 to publish a movie to your mobileme gallery, but is there a way to do that out of iMovieHD 6? I have a video i've been working on for a while now and have no way to post it for friends/family to see. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Yes, thank you i found that. However i should have been more specific -- is there a way to do it aside from using imovie 08? I have videos i've created in iMovie HD6 that i'd like to upload.

  • "Removed" images still appear in MobileMe gallery online

    1. Made a MobileMe gallery in Aperture
    2. Published it. Gallery appears OK on MobileMe.
    3. In Aperture, removed two images from album (Right-click->Remove From Album)
    4. Sync from Aperture, expecting images to disappear from MobileMe online
    5. Pictures that were removed appear again in Aperture
    6. Remove pictures again, re-sync, multiple times
    7. Removed pictures finally stay gone in Aperture, but are still on MobilMe
How do I delete them from the online gallery?
    Thanks.

I haven't experienced this, but you can always go delete them on the sever side. e.g., logon to the Mobile Me site and delete them from the gallery there. It does sounds like a temporary syncing glitch as mentioned above.

  • Now that the photo gallery in MobileMe is ending, is there another photo sharing site to which existing iPhoto albums can be transferred as is, with photos in the same order and with titles, and with minimal problems?

Now that the photo gallery in MobileMe is ending, is there another photo sharing site to which existing iPhoto albums can be transferred as is, with photos in the same order and with titles, and with minimal problems?

No. If you don't have the album you originally used to create the galleries you can do so by dragging the photos from each gallery to a new, empty album. Then when you find the photo sharing site/option you have decided on  you can easily upload each album to the site.
Another option is to obtain a hosting service and create iWeb photo pages for each album and future albums similar to this photo page in one of my demo sites: iPhoto Book as an iWeb Slideshow.  Or you can use the iWeb album page and have an album for each  iPhoto album on it like on this demo page: Page-7 .

  • Is there a way to import photos into iPhoto '11 from MobileMe Gallery?

I am soon to take a trip with a digital camera, iPad2 and camera connection kit. I know I can store a great many photos on my iPad during the trip. I have a MobileMe account, so I know I can export the photos to the Gallery easy enough. I would like to know if, when I return home to my iMac, there is a way to import those photos directly into iPhoto from the MobileMe Gallery. If yes, then I can delete the photos from the iPad2 periodically as they mount up, knowing they are safe in the Gallery and available for further use in iPhoto and elsewhere. If no, then the Gallery is really of little use to me and I won't spend the time uploading to the Gallery.
My apologies in advance as I am also posting this exact question in the MobileMe forum.
I depart very soon and hope the Community here can offer some quick advice! Thanks!

If you can access your photos from a Finder window, You can drag and drop them into an iMovie Project from there. Just make sure they are in a stable place, because if you move them later, iMovie will not know where to find them.
