Mobileme gallery not syncing with iPhoto

Hello everyone
I have a Mobileme album onto which I upload photos and videos using my iPhone 4, my Macbook or my iMac.
For some reason, many of the photos on Mobileme show as grey icons in the corresponding iPhoto album, and if I double-click on them, nothing happens. As if they did not exist.
Any help will be very much appreciated. Regards

IPhone camera roll does not sync with iPhoto

Around 1/2 of my pictures in my camera roll folder on my iPhone 5S are missing in iPhoto. For example: I have photos until April 2014 that are sync'ed and then a gap until October 2014. How come iPhoto does not import all my photos as a standard? I cannot be related to dates as there are a mix of old and new.

Make sure that you are using a apple charger or transferring charger. Then unplug the charger from both things plug it back in. If that does not work then unplug again and restart.iPhone camera roll does not sync with iPhoto

IMovie 6.0.3 does not sync with iPhoto 8.1

iMovie 6.0.3 will no longer sync with iPhoto 8.1. I get a message "Open iPhoto 2 or later or Aperture 1.5 or later to see photos from your iPhoto or Aperture library in this list."
This was working fine just days ago.

Creating a MobileMe gallery & NOT sharing with everyone?

Hi, how do I restrict visibility of a MobileMe gallery to just a few users?
Prior to uploading there is a menu where it is possible among other setting to choose to share with 'everyone', 'just me' or 'selected people'.
Ok the issue is with the selected people list.
Do I understand this right that I have to give a 'name' & a password for every person I want to share the gallery with?
Ok I have put in 3 names and given them a password. But then it goes back to the main pre-loading options and I can see all the names in the drop down along with 'everyone', 'just me' etc... so how do I select those 3 ??? It looks as if I can only select one name. Do I have to do this one at a time or do I give all the people I want to share with a single name ? Is that how it is supposed to work ?

While viewing the MMe gallery in iPhoto click on the Settings button to bring up the Settings pane. Then click on the Advanced button to show additional options.
There you have two options:
1 - select Hide Album on my Gallery Page

Which will keep viewers who are viewing your other galleries from visiting the hidden gallery. You can then just give the URL for that gallery to those who you want to view. But they could give it to others.
2 - select Edit Names and Passwords in the Album Viewable by drop down menu and create a single username and password for those selected to view it or a username and password for each individual.

MobileMe Gallery not syncing

I have been trying for the last couple of days to upload a couple of new MobilMe Galleries to my account. The first 4 galleries worked fine, then a few days later I cannot get anything to publish. Aperture appears to be making progress as the "clock" progress indicator and the "Show Activity" screen show progress from 0% to 100%. Then the clock turns into spinning arrows and the Show Activity screen says it is uploading optimized images. This goes on for awhile and then I get a message that "the sync failed, could not contact the publish.me.com server." During my most recent attempt, this occurred after 50 of 75 images had been uploaded according to the Show Activity screen. I logged into my account and it shows I have used 140MB of 20GB of storage, so I appear to have plenty of room.
Any ideas what could be going wrong?

Likely it's not you. Many others, including myself, have experienced odd behaviour, intermittent and often incorrect syncing, lost data, etc.
Apple has just issued yet another extension of the months of service for a total of 90 days added on. They're buying time to fix serious glitches.
Your activity appears to demonstrate an inability to get accurate syncing from Apple's servers. You may need to be patient and keep trying as MobileMe (slowly) gets the fixes it needs.

Calendar in MobileMe is not syncing with iphone

A couple of days ago my iphone stopped syncing its calendar with MobileMe. I followed the suggested steps to fix the problem (provided by Apple). I turned sync on and off, reinstalled the iphone software with and without the backup, turned phone on/off between the steps, waited for an hour each time - but nothing. The calendar view is completely empty.
Sync of calendar to my iMac, iPad and MacBook Air work excellent.
If I connect the iphone with my MB Air by USB then sync works fine but this solution is less then optimal since I use all four units seperately and thus need to sync only with MobileMe.
Please give a clue of what I can do to resolve the problem!

The problem solved tiself. I added my Google calendar by Exchange, that didn't work either. The next time I activated the mobile me calendar it worked.

IPhone 4 does not sync with iPhoto

I tried synching photos and videos taken with my iPhone 4 and I get an error and it won't import either. When I only have photos it imports fine, but if I have photos and video I get the error. Anyone else with this problem??
I've restored the OS once and the import worked once after that, but now back to the same error.

I have the same problem. I brought my iPhone 4 and my iMac to the Apple Store. They tried on their own computers, too. They said the sent the issue to Engineering in California, although they thought some photos might just be corrupt.
The photos are fine because: a) they e-mail fine to the computer; b) Using the Photo Connection Kit with my iPad, I transferred the photos from my iPhone to my iPad, and then from my iPad to iPhoto.
I hope Apple fixes this soon. People are going on vacation and will be pretty upset if they can't get their pictures and videos out of the phone.

MobileMe Galleries created in Aperture are syncing with iPhoto

I used to use iPhoto, but switched to Aperture 3. Now when I create a MobileMe Gallery, the photos publish to the site but don't show up in the Aperture library under MobileMe. When I log in to the Mobileme site, I check the settings for the gallery and it says it is syncing with iPhoto. I can change it to Aperture manually, and then it will show up properly when I go back to Aperture, but I can't figure out why it's defaulting to iPhoto. I went into the iPhoto preferences and removed all accounts, and there also are not any photos in iPhoto at all. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Richard, very helpful. I wondered why I couldn't see my old mobileme galleries in Aperture.
I have swapped between iPhoto '09, Aperture 3, iPhoto '11 and now back to Aperture. Whilst I love the ease of use and relative speed of iPhoto, Aperture's adjustments and masters/versions handling has the edge for me now that my masters collection is too big for my MBP. And with a clean install of Lion my machine now seems more responsive than it has been for a while.
Changing the setting of each gallery is a bit dull, is there a global 'manage mobile me galleries with iPhoto/Aperture' setting anywhere?

MobileMe gallery switched syncing from Aperture to iPhoto

I had an album on Aperture that synced with MobileMe. Friends added photos via email and via web upload, and all was good. Until one day when the Aperture web album was gone. MobileMe album was still there, but it says (under Info) that it's syncing with iPhoto (which I haven't used in 4 years). So I load up iPhoto and, voila, it starts syncing.
How can I tell MobileMe to sync with original Aperture? This is a real pain.

Actually this is an Aperture issue since this problem only occurs when I export and then import files from aperture into iphoto 08. When I import files off a disk or external compact flash disk directly into iphoto 08 and then upload to the web gallery they retain the same file size yet the files that were brought over from aperture somehow loose there size once they go to the gallery. Interstingly enough the file size of versions brought over from aperture appear to remain in tact in iphoto but drop off once on the web???? Does this have anything to do with Versions as reference files...but if so how does one retain the chaanges made in aperture to a master file and export it to iphoto 08 and then on to the web and still retain some semblance of file size??? Note I already did enable downloading prior to uploading to the gallery.. HELP!

ICal not syncing with MobileMe

I know there have been other posts on this, but I have tried them all and cannot figure this out. MobileMe is syncing with my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.2) but it is not syncing with my MacBook under my current user profile. I created a new profile as a test and it synced with no issues. I have tired signing out and back into my MobileMe account, deleting the calendar cache, deleting the calendar folder, reinstalling ical, etc. I cannot figure this out and I am feeling my only option left is to upgrade to Snow Leopard. Any help on this?

For whatever reason, iCal has suddenly "come back to life for me." I did a backup and restore (did not by itself seem to solve the problem), then Reset Sync History, then rebooted my MBP, then Reset Sync History again, and then initiated a manual sync in the MobileMe control panel. Voila! iCal populated with the MobileMe data, and it appears that not only did iCal receive data, it also sent updates of its own on over to MM and thereby to my phone. We'll see if the reliability of the MM "ecosystem" under 10.5.5 gets, well, more reliable.

When I receive appointments by email and accept them they go into the enourage "on my mac" ical calendar which is not synced with mobileme. How do I change where appointments are put ?

I use the mobileme sync services so the ical calendars that are synced are those in the "[email protected]" group.

Actually you can't drag the appointment to ano calendar - its says "You can’t make changes to this invitation., Only the organiser can change this event"
Also if you double click on the received appointment and open the window the only calendars shown that you can select are the 'on my mac" ones, and not the sync'd ones.
Any ideas welcome !!

IPhone Contacts & Calendars not syncing with mobileme

Apologies if there is a solution to this posted already, I can't find it despite extensive searching!
My iPhone Calendars & Contacts do not sync with MobileMe. I can't find a way of exporting or saving the data on the iPhone and importing it into my desktop iCal & Contacts apps.
I have looked at all troubleshooting help I can find, and all is suggested is deleting/ resetting the phone & syncing from MobileMe. However, if I do this I will lose lots of contacts & calendar entries.
The data will NOT sync from my phone despite following all available instructions. My desktop apps are all set to sync with MobileMe & this works fine, it's just the iPhone data will not transfer to MobileMe.
Please help!!

Since you are syncing your iPhone with your Mac, it should be syncing your contacts and calendars with your Mac as well (and your bookmarks if you have it set up to sync). You should have Mobile Me setup on your Mac to at least sync your Calendars and Contacts, which should be updating your Mobile Me account. If you want to check to make sure that all of your contacts that are on your iPhone are on your Mac, simply open up the Contacts App. Once you check this, add your Mobile Me account to your iPhone and let it sync your contacts and calendars, it will delete all the contacts and calendars that are currently on your iPhone, but the same data is on your Mac anyways. Once Mobile Me syncs with your iPhone you won't have to worry about it anymore.
If you are having problems where you already setup your Mobile Me account on your iPhone and it's not syncing properly, deleted it, restart your iPhone, then add it again.
