MobileMe like Gallery

That's what I want to do. Here are the criteria:
1. A page of thumbnails
2. Click on any one and it goes full size
3. At the bottom of the fullsized picture, a mouse over gives left and right arrows to go to previous or next picture
4. Some way to return back to the thumbnails from any photo.
5. Easy to just add another photo any time, and anywhere in the group (I want them alpha)
Can this be done in DW CS4 (running in Leopard) without a lot of machinations? Thanks.

I think this would best be accomplished in flash. you can check out template monster for some xml driven flash galleries to accomplish what you want if you're not really a flash guy, or an extension in the adobe exchange that build web galleries.

Mobileme photo gallery and iweb 09 sloooooooow

Hello All,
I use iWeb 09 and Mobileme. I have added an embeded mobileme gallery of photos to my page but it soooooo slow in loading. Is there a way to embed a Mobileme photo gallery without the animation? Just have a static cover image.
I think that would solve the problem.

MobileMe widget Gallery sharing

I have several iMovies shared on my MobileMe Gallery - posted as small, medium and large so that anyone browsing can click according to their bandwidth and patience.
I'd like to post these movies on iWeb to make them accessible to a wider audience (people I don't necessarily want going to my MobileMe gallery page where they can see family photos etc)
Two problems:
1) When using the MobileMe Gallery widget to post content, an arrow link is provided that directs back to my MobileMe - how do I delete/disable this link?
2) Gallery widget doesn't provide the different bandwidth options that are available on MobileMe. How do I set this up?

That's a conundrum with iWeb. If you make the gallery isolated from your other galleries it can't be added and viewed via the snippet. However you can create and isolate the gallery and then embed it into a web page using iFrame code and an HTML snippet like these demo pages:

Both examples are of galleries that have been hidden from the rest of my galleries.

...mobileme photo gallery transfer

is there a w ay to transfer pix on the web gallery of mobileme back to my imac & iphoto
i thought i had them on the iphone and when i synced with a new computer there were gone from the phone. i also thought they were backed up on an external, but not there either. only place they exist is on the mobileme gallery.
i am a bit dismayed that they never transfered from the iphones as they should have, but what is..is and i would like them back on the phone or atleast on the mac.
any ideas? please
i also took pix of notes on the iphone and they are not anywhere either..this was a big loss that should not have happened!
can't figure out what went wrong!!

SOMETHING REALLY STRANGE IS HAPPENING
I TRIED TO SYNC & MERGE MY IPHONE DATA TO MY ADDITIONAL MAC...THINGS MERGED, BUT THE CONTACTS ..IT SAYS TO MANY CONFLICTS..I TRIED TO RESOLVE , I ELIMINATED OR MERGED THE CONFLICTS..NO DICE, BUT I NEVER LOST MY NOTES..WHICH I REALLY WAS EXPECTING TO LOSE..I KEEP TRYING TO SYNC AND IT SAYS CONTACT SYNC FAILED. I HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO RESOLVE..THIS IS THE MESSAGE THAT POPS UP: contacts could not be synced b/c of inconsistent data. "Confirm that your computer's data is valid, then reset contacts on MobilMe in system preferences".. i have eliminated duplicates and no of nothing else to do besides which i can not find anything to help me in System Prefs.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated..doing this if i am able to ..will i lose contacts from either place..Mac/phone??

Using iWeb/MobileMe/iPhoto Gallery: how do I get them all to work together?

Hi all. I'm using iWeb09 and Mobile Me. What I'm trying to do is create a website using iWeb and host it onto Mobile Me. I registered a domain name and have placed in Mobile Me. I replaced a previous domain name that I had in there that I used for my image gallery since Mobile Me only uses one domain name. I can see the page I created hosted, no problems.
The problem I'm having is when I deleted the first test site I lost the ability to use the Mobile Me Widget with my gallery. Now it does not see my gallery with my photos. Now the iPhoto gallery on Mobile Me still sees the previous domain name when I type it in. I liked it that I had it linked to the online gallery because then you could view the other photo albums.
So my questions are these:
1- How do I get my widgets to see my Mobile Me again?
2- Do I have to change anything with my gallery to make it be seen?
3- What should I be putting in the site name?

Not for me. None of the MMe galleries will load online or are available in the MMe Gallery widget. Still something amiss.
UPDATE: I take that back. It just took about 5 minutes for the galleries to load. So very slow but they finally did. Some movies in the galleries never would load, like this one: http://gallery.me.com/toad.hall#100411. If you can get it to load and play let me know.

Using iWeb to publish my mobileme photo gallery -really weird bugs help plz

I have a really weird problem and have tried searching the forums already with no luck.
I'm using iWeb09 to put mobileme photo album on my website. When I initially add the widget onto my page, the widgets will show a "preview" of what pictures are in the gallery if you hover your mouse over it. Later during the day, I'm not sure if I did anything to mess it up but that "preview" is no longer there. It's just a black box. It still works however if you click on it because it takes you to the mobile gallery.
The only way for me to fix it was to delete the mobile me album and create a new one. Then re-add the widget onto my iWeb.
This has happened twice to me already and I cannot figure out why it happens. I'm sorry if my description is vague. Please help.

There is no point in re-installing iWeb, because after you have published it really is not an iWeb problem - if there is something not working on uploading the files, then it is really nothing to do with iWeb after html pages have been created.
If you are using Fetch to upload, then you have obviously published your site to a local folder? If so, are the photos there when you look at your local site? If they are there when you publish to a local site, then it is an error in uploading and if photos do not show, it means that some things are not being uploaded to your server correctly.
Have you tried using Cyberduck instead of Fetch? Cyberduck or Transmit are two of the better ftp programmes to try.

MobileMe Web Gallery has 0 KB photos in iPhoto

Hi gang,
Some friends uploaded some pics to a Mobile Me web gallery that I set up using iPhoto. Some of the pics are the right file size on the web site, but are only zero KB when I look at the photo in the MobileMe section of iPhoto.
Any ideas?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. See if that will correct the problem.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Multiple Headings on MobileMe web Gallery through iPhoto?

Basically, all I want to know is, can I have more than one "Albums" listing on my web gallery. It doesn't seem like it, but I'm a very new Mac user so I thought I'd ask here.
I'd like to be able to customize:
Albums, Work Portfolio, Illustrations, etc -- is this possible?

You create each web gallery independently and publish and they will all have separate URLs but all will be listed under your overall gallery like I have here. How can I upload high resolution photos to MobileMe Web Gallery

Since upgrading to the latest iPhoto edition when I upload photos to MobileMe many of them appear as KB rather than their original MB, even though I choose the highest setting in Advanced before publishing. I did not have this probelm with earlier versions of iPhoto. Paul

Further to my last post, when iPhoto commences uploading, it says uploading thumbnails, despite me checking the "actual size" option. Can anyone advise how to get full resolution photos on MobileMe Gallery using iPhoto '11?

Can iPhoto autosync to MobileMe web gallery or not?

I can't seem to get a straight answer to this. I'm using iLife 11. I was told to go to settings then web tab and check auto for check for newly published photos but there is no web tab in the preferences for iphoto11. If I upload an album to gallery and later on add photos to that album will those photos auto sync to my gallery or do I have to drag them into the gallery under my web albums manually?

Picasa is a fine app - not the same as iPhoto but similar. It has some extra bells and whistles nd is missing a few too. However, if you want to use Picasa you're best to forget iPhoto. Apple have created a number of ways for third party apps to access the iPhoto Library. Google's Picasa uses none of them. It hacks the library. It can lead to damage.

HT5129 MobileMe automatic Gallery downloads

Is there a way to disable this? I already manualy downloaded my events off mobileme.com (Because it's ending) and don't want to use this automatic method that pops up every time I open iPhoto... Every time it tries it hangs.

Thanks. I just figured it out. If you go into preferences>Accounts, and remove your Mobile Me account in the left hand pane (Using the minus button at the bottom after selected) it will not bug you again.
I just don't really understand why I would want to download published galleries of things I already have as events anyway... ? They are compressed, inferior versions of the original already in my possession.

MobileMe Gallery from A3 Does not Display Key Photo

When I post from Aperture 3 to MobileMe, the Gallery preview pic does not display the key photo anymore. Skimming still works, but the preview pic as seen in the gallery is not displayed. Instead of the preview picture, an icon is displayed that is gray with two stacked pictures.
If I go to me.com and manage the gallery from there, I do see a preview picture but not the key photo. Instead, I see the first photo from the project.
In Aperture 2, I did not see these behaviors.
Anyone else seeing this problem?

Yes, I noticed this too.
I can skim the gallery (like an event) but then it just gives a generic thumbnail as the key photo.

Can't access my MobileMe Gallery

I just started using iWeb, iLife 08 version.
I have previously put together a MobileMe photo gallery that I would like to add to my web page. However when I click widgets, under MobileMe Gallery is shows no albums or movies available.
Any suggestions??
