MobileMe mail after account is deleted

I am going to unsubscribe to MobileMe, but how can I save my emails from that address? If I move them from the "MobileMe" tab on Mail to "On My Mac", will they stay after the account is removed?

If "On My Mac" is that mailbox's location, yes.

  • How to recover emails from Mail after account is deleted accidentally. All my emails are now gone and i am standing no where. Can any body help me out by recovering my emails.

After having problem in getting emails from pop server, i thought of removing account and adding it again. Problem was solved but all my previous emails are gone.
Really needed all my emails back. Tried but could went through. Also purchased once software "EaseUS", no further progress was achieved. It only recovered deleted emails which was of no significance for me.
Can any one help me out. I have no "Time Machine" active on my mac book pro.

    Hi Roger
    Thank you for your reply.
    My original feed is: http://casa-egypt.com/feed/
However, because I modified the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast and nothing changed, I redirected it to another feed and then I deleted this feed.
Is there any way to change the feed in itunes? The only feed I have now is  http://feeds.feedburner.com/CasaEgyptStation
I tried to restore the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast but feedburner refused.
I know that I missed things up but I still have hope in working things out.
    Thanks is advance.

  • How do I restore email and drafts from Apple Mail in Time Machine after account was deleted.

My Apple Mail email account was deleted by a support person and I lost several hundred emails and close to 1100 drafts that I desperately need. I have been using an external drive for backing up in Time Machine.
I do not know how to get my emails and drafts out of Time Machine and onto my Apple drive.
Any help would be appreciated  HUGELY!

    Command-R to the rescue.
Just hold down Command-R during startup and Lion Recovery springs into action. It lets you choose from common utilities: You can run Disk Utility to check or repair your hard drive, erase your hard drive and reinstall a fresh copy of Lion, or restore your Mac from a Time Machine backup. You can even use Safari to get help from Apple Support online. And if Lion Recovery encounters problems, it will automatically connect to Apple over the Internet.
When boot into Recovery and select item 1, you will be given a choice of a point to recover from.

  • Farm Account gets Access Denied error when accessing SharePoint Subsites after Account was deleted and recreated in Active Directory .

A SharePoint Domain Account(farm admin account) was deleted and recreated with the same absolute credentials in AD due to this i cannot navigate to certain sites, not even able to edit web parts and cant view site actions menu.
The account has full permissions across the site and is a site admin.
I have tried to import the old login to the new login
    stsadm -o migrateuser-oldlogin <domain\name>-newlogin <domain\name> [-ignoresidhistory]
But this did not help as it didnt resolve  the SID's issues.
I couldn't restore the deleted object(AD acc) too.
Is there a way that i can use to get this account to work again?
There option of creating a new domain accout and give it full permissions is not recommened by the client.
So i must find a to get this account to work again.
    Thank you in Advance.

    Hi,
I would have a look in Active Directory first. Because a new account can't have same IDs that an old one, your new account can't be used instead of the old one, even if login, password and group memberships seems to be set all the same.
If your forest functionnal level is 2008R2 or more, and if Active Directory Recycle bin has been enabled, you can probably restore the deleted account.
you can find the way to restore a deleted account here :
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd379509%28v=ws.10%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
If your forest is set to a previous functionnal level or the recycle bin is not enabled, you could give a chance to authoritative restore, as described here :
    https://technet.microsoft.com/fr-fr/library/cc816878(v=ws.10).aspx
    hope it helps

  • Recover SENT mail after account deletion?

We changed ISP, created new accounts (successful), then deleted accounts from the old ISP. The "sent" mail disappeared. Is it possible to recover it?

Deleting a mail account causes all your mail stored in that account’s mailboxes to be removed from the computer as well, and you were warned that this would happen by the following alert:
    Remove Account
Are you sure you want to remove the <AccountType> account "<AccountName>"?
This will permanently delete the account setup information, mailboxes, and messages from your computer. Messages stored on the mail server will not be affected. For IMAP-type accounts, this is not a problem because mail is stored on the server. If you deleted a POP account, however, your mail has certainly been wiped out from the computer, not just moved somewhere.
To prevent that from happening, you should have moved your mail to custom “On My Mac” mailboxes instead of leaving it in the account’s mailboxes. Actually, using the account’s Inbox and Sent mailboxes for archiving purposes is a bad idea regardless.
If you don’t have a backup (which you should have made before doing something like that), you may try to salvage as many deleted .emlx files as possible with a data recovery tool such as Data Rescue II or FileSalvage. Of these, the only one I know for sure that can currently recover deleted .emlx files is FileSalvage. Stop using your computer right now if you want to try that, as anything you do with the computer may cause the deleted files to be overwritten.

  • Mail accounts don't download POP mail unless account is deleted and readded

Lately, I've been having trouble with Mail. It just stops downloading mail (but will send) from my server. When I login via webmail, I can always get my mail. I fix this problem by deleting the account from mail, and setting it back up again. Then it downloads all the mail from my server. It seems like after a day or so, it stops working. The problem can't be on my servers end, because it works perfectly. The problem is only in my mail program. I'm getting tired of deleting and re-adding almost every day. Any advice?

If this is a POP account, instead of deleting the mail account, you might get the same results by just deleting the file that Mail uses to keep track of which messages have already been downloaded:
    1. Quit Mail.
    2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/.
    3. Locate one or two files named MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded and move them to the Trash. Mail 1.x used MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded to keep track of which messages had already been downloaded. Mail 2.x uses MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded2 for the same purpose.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.
It’s strange, however, that re-creating the account (or the MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded file) completely fixes the problem for a while, but it starts happening again shortly afterwards. Does Mail really download all the messages on the server every time you re-create the account?
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
Also, go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list.

  • Not deleting e-mails from BB when deleted from Inbox

    Hi there -
I have one person with this issue out of 90+ on the server running just fine.  I have a BB Curve 8310 (running version 4.5.0.110) which is not deleting any e-mails after the user deletes them from his outlook 2003 client.  The reconciliation setting is set to Delete on Mailbox and handheld with mailbox wins for conflicts. The service provider is AT&T.
    Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening or what I can look at?  As I said he is the only one with this issue and the BES server is running BlackBerry Manager version is 4.1.  {Yeah I know this is old and I'm looking into how to upgrade the version.}
Any ideas or hints will be greatly appreciated.

Hello laydeedi and welcome to the forums.
Have you tested this using OWA?
Are tasks and memo's syncing properly?
Have a look at the below KB and run the test from OWA, not from the Outlook 2003 client.

    correctly

  • Restore Mail after deleting account

I deleted an inactive account in Mail after setting up a new internet account and name, but did not realize that all of the e-mails would be deleted; thought I was just turning off future downloads at the inactive address. It was two years of e-mails. Is there any way to restore those e-mails?
    Help please!
    MarkD
    iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

You need to look up the definition of a computer bug since this is not a bug but part of the account and mailbox filing structure by design.
I agree when deleting an account, the Mail.app should include either an automatic transfer of the account's mailboxes to the Mailboxes folder within the Mail folder at Home > Library > Mail or placed in the Trash first which requires an additional step before the account's mailboxes are deleted but a warning message is provided.
If you don't pay close attention to a warning message provided by any application, etc. during use or you are not sure what will occur when selecting OK when a warning message is provided, you better maintain a regular if not daily backup of all data.
    This is not a bug.

  • RSS not working in Mail after MobileMe instal

The title pretty much says it all "RSS not working in Mail after MobileMe instal" The names of the RSS feeds are still there but all have the triangle error message beside them.

you may have already tried this but in the mailbox menu at the top, try to take all accounts offline then take them all back online again. if that doesn't work you can always do a rebuild which is kind of a pain, but it usually does the trick.

  • How come, when I add myYahoo! email account to MAIL, after verifying, I always get the "server unavailable. please try again later"

How come, when I add myYahoo! email account to MAIL, after verifying, I always get the "server unavailable. please try again later"

    THANKS! this worked !!!
I hit "DELETE THIS ACCOUNT" on my iphone (this is the Yahoo I tried to set up by "picking" it from the list that the iphone5 gives you) and then confirmed to delete everything.
THEN: while in Mail (still in the Settings Section) I tapped on "ADD ACCOUNT..." but this time tapped on "OTHER" and manually put in my yahoo ID and password and I did not even have to go to the   SMTP or IMAP incomming/outgoing stuff at all. But I checked it out under the "ADVANCE" tab and it was already correct for yahoo. (ALMOST SEEMED TOO EASY)
Went to my home screen and tapped on MAIL and my yahoo email loaded up just right!
Now, I have no idea if I have any other issues like if I delete mail on the iphone; does it delete properly on my ipad...etc..etc. but one problem at a time is getting fixed. THANKS!

  • Deleted account settings = deleted MAIL !?!?!?!?!? (NO!!!!!)

Please tell me there's a way to recover my email messages!!!
We changed web-hosts this week and so (after waiting a few days for DNS to repoint and getting confirming email from new provider that email account of same name was now set-up) I changed the previous Mail settings to the new POP/SMTP settings they sent me, but.... no go.
After a few rounds with our tech and theirs it was mentioned that accounts in Apple's Mail "seem to not to like to be changed.... rather just add a new account with the new email server settings. I did this and.... VIOLLA! Worked/works.
So, assuming that i am looking JUST (there in MAIL==>PREFERENCES==>ACCOUNTS at mail account SETTINGS and NOT that has anything to do with the messages in my InBox, I just deleted the old "account" and closed Pref's
Inbox USED to have 1300+ emails from 3 POP account.
After deleting the account icon for that old (and non-functining) settings: 220!
WHERE ARE ALL MY EMAILS FOR THE SAME ACCOUNT JUST WITH DIFFERENT SERVER SETTINGS???
*as i wait for help from SMARTER people than me (guess that's no saying much, eh?) here i am promising NOT to emtpy system trash of MAIL app trash, and PRAYING that that might help some course of rescue.
    Standing, (VERY) nervously by,
    David M

    Hello David.
Before deleting an account in Tiger Mail, the following warning message is provided:
Are you sure you want to remove the (account type here) account “XXXXXXXXXX”?
This will permanently delete the account setup information, mailboxes, and messages from your computer. Copies of messages on the mail server, if they exist, are not affected.
This is usually ignored or not completely understood but is based on the Mail.app filing structure so now the long winded answer for the reason.
Many other email clients utilize a single large database file which is not dependent on individual account and associated mailbox filing. When creating an account in Mail, an account named folder (named by the user name and incoming mail server for the account) is created in the Mail folder at Home > Library > Mail using the Finder. For POP type accounts, the following mailbox (mbox) folders are created within the account named folder when the function is used by the account: INBOX.mbox, Drafts.mbox, Sent Messages.mbox, Deleted Messages.mbox and Junk.mbox (when Junk mail is set to automatic). The mbox folders within the account named folder represent the account named mailboxes under In, Drafts, Sent, Trash and Junk (when Junk mail is set to automatic) in the Mail.app mailboxes drawer.
When deleting an account in Mail, the account named folder at Home > Library > Mail is deleted at that time and as the warning message indicates, the associated account mailboxes within the account named folder are also deleted. You must select OK after the warning message appears.
It would be preferable for the account named folder to be moved to the hard drive Trash can which requires an additional step to delete but this is not what occurs.
To have any hope of recovering your data, you need to immediately stop using your system and then purchase a copy of a recovery tool such as Tech Tool Pro (Micromat) or Data Rescue (Prosoft Engineering), both of which have data recovery tools. I've not used Data Rescue, but I've seen reports that it recovers files that the others cannot, so it might be your best hope. The chances generally aren't really good even so, but short of sending your drive to a data recovery service (expensive), such utilities are your only hope.
Note that the more you use your system before you attempt recovery, the more likely it is that the system will overwrite the sections of the drive where the data you want to recover is stored, rendering it unrecoverable by any means. You should therefore stop using the system completely until you get and try to use one of the file recovery tools.
This also emphasizes the importance of maintaining a regular backup of the Mail folder and other important data.

  • Why does junk mail return after it is deleted? Mail Version 8.1 on MacBookPro9,1 Yosemite 10.10.1

The junk mail box always is refilled with messages even after I've deleted them.

If it is an IMAP account, try Mail/Preferences/Accounts/Mailbox Behaviors and un-check Store junk messages on the server.

  • MobileMe and iCloud accounts in Mail on my iPhone

In Oct 2011 a user wrote:
"I updated to iCloud and now I have both MobileMe and iCloud accounts in Mail on my iPhone 4s. I don't have the option to delete the MobileMe account so now I have two of the same account under different names. How do I delete the MobileMe and keep the iCloud?"
The following response solved that users issue:
"Open the MobileMe preferences in System Preferences, sign out. Open the Mail, Contacts, Calendars preferences and either turn off the MM account or delete it. The MM account will disappear at the end of June 2012.  You can delete any MM account you have currently turned on in your iPhone's settings."
I have the same issue, and that helpful response does not apply in my situation.  On my Mac, I am signed out of my MobileMe account; the Mail, Contacts, Calendars preference does not show a MobileMe account, just iCloud.
On my iPhone, Mailboxes in Mail shows my MobileMe address and iCloud entries - both mailboxes/accounts show the same folders and messages. Also, in Settings' Mail, Contacts, Calendars the Accounts does not have a MobileMe entry, just iCloud.
Mailboxes in Mail on my iPad 2, on the other hand, does not show the MobileMe address; it only shows the iCloud entry.
Any recommendations on how to remove the MobileMe entry on my iPhone?

Don't count on it!  Both my iPad and iPhone4S are on 5.1 and both are having problems right now!

Hello Komanaut and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your email.
To clarify, are the emails deleted off your device and your email account on the computer? Or just on your device?
    Thanks!
