When i open gallery.me.com on my iPhone i see my gallery folders. But when I want to show the pictures there appears the following text "This request could not be processed". Is there a solution?

  • Photo sync error?

I'm getting this error when I sync my iPhone:
Some of your photos, including the photo "DSC00059.JPG", were not copied to the iPhone because they cannot be displayed on your iPhone.
A spotlight search reveals 2 photos with that name on my computer but neither of them is in any of the photo albums I'm syncing to my iPhone. One of them is someone's contact photo but I removed it from her contact card and I still got the error. Turning off photo syncing gets rid of this error, even though it's not supposed to be synced in the first place. There is a checkbox to not warn me about this again but I want to know why it's happening. Any ideas?

Same problem! Everything was fine a couple of days ago and now all of a sudden --- nothing... for both of our Ipods. When I go to th photo tab and try to do anything it shuts the whole program down on me. Is this an Ipod or Itunes problem?
It's driving me nuts... but making me more nuts is that I can't get tech help! What to do?

  • Iphone Photo Sync errors

I get an error every time I attempt to sync photo's to the iphone... What gives?

What firewall is installed on the PC? You can try to disable it or set it up again.
You may also want to check with Dell, to make sure you have the latest firmware updates for the PC.

  • IPhone photo sync error

    Hello,
I would like to get the photos from my PC to my iPhone. Everytime I try to sync I get an error message that says "the iPhone xxxx iPhone cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found". Then I click OK, but there is no description of what file cannot be found. Not a very intuitive message. Help! Any suggestions to resolve this issue? Thanks.

    Hey Peter,
Try deleting the iPod photo Cache folder which is described here:

  • Photo sync error- can't update because the required file cannot be found

After setting preferences for updating photos, i get the error-
"can't update ipod because the required file cannot be found"
It seemes to update all other stuff like music and podcasts, but will not update photos.
    This is driving me crazy!
    Any help would be appreciated

The same problem exists with the German Windows version of iTunes (7.1.1.5).
    The error message says nothing!
I wasted a lot of time checking the photo files but there was nothing wrong.
Then I monitored the hd-access to find out WHAT a file is missing: it seems to be about the cache files of the program that isn't orientated right about it's own files!!! It seems to be a big fat bug!!!
The hint here really helps but it also means that all compressed files will be deleted and compressed again. That takes hours of time and lots of GB temp-space on the drives.
I think Apple should deliver a bug-free version of iTunes as soon as possible. And Apple should talk to the customers for that they must not waste their time because of bugs in Apple software.
    Will Apple read this?
I can't find an email-adress to send it directly to apple.

  • When syncing photos getting error iPhone can not be read from or written to

I am getting an error only when I try to sync photos. Error is iPhone can not be read from or written to. This only happens when I am syncing photos, so far everything else syncs fine. I have an iPhone 3G S. I had some pictures on the iPhone that I deleted, still no sync. I am restoring the iPhone right now.

I am having the same issue. I get "iphone unable to sync, an unknown error occurred (-51)" I have restored twice and once even set up as a new iphone. Nothing so far has worked. If anyone has any suggestions, please pass them on

  • Unknown error -50 (aperture photo sync issue)

    OK.
iPod touch 16Gb connected to MB Pro. Aperture 1.5.x (latest).
    The following happened:
    1) In aperture I changed my preview for other apps jpeg quality from 6 to 10.
    2) Next two times itunes tried to sync images to the touch it crashed (gave the unexpected error - report to apple crashreporter) in the "preparing images for the ipod" stage.
    3) After that - it started giving unknown error -36.
So - I did a factory reset. Full reset to 1.1.2.
First sync after that it gave the "Cannot be synced - unknown error -50" at sync of photos.
Now - each time I try to sync it instantly gives the same unknown -50 error.
Now - the cable etc is OK - it all syncs fine if I turn off photo sync.
So - I am guessing that something somewhere in some disk cache or similar is probably screwed - the prepared photos - but - I have no idea where to look on disk.

OK - turns out the cache is in a directory called
    iPod photo Cache
    ref:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300225
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301267
    and several others.
The trick for people using aperture is that this directory is inside the aperture library file (the .aplibrary file).
Having removed this directory itunes is now regenerating the optimized photos

  • My old iPod Photo sync'd with 10.6 but won't with my new iMac running 10.7, I get an error message, am I done?

My old iPod Photo sync'd with 10.6 but won't with my new iMac running 10.7, I get an error message and a message that it could not sync, am I done?

What's the error message say, exactly?  Does the error occur when you sync, or when you just connect it?  Does the iPod appear in the iTunes sidebar (under DEVICES), or does this error occur before that can happen?
I have an old 4th Gen (color screen) iPod, which should be the same as an "iPod Photo."  It's been sitting idle for a while, but I just connected it to my iMac running Mac OS X 10.7 and iTunes 10.6.1.  I think it's the first time I tried since upgrading to Lion.  It connected and synced fine using USB.

  • Still getting sync errors with photos

After syncing I get a message that "Some photos such as CIMG0094 were not synced because they won't play on the iPad"
I had this before and it was some photos had been corrupted by iPhoto. I deleted them and moved all my photos out of iPhoto to ~/Pictures. Everything worked fine but now this again. Has anyone actually found a fix for this problem? I went to iPad support but didn't find it addressed.
Oh the photos sync just fine to my iPod.

I did a Spotlight search and found them on my hard drive. Some had a size listed as "0 KB"; those and others would not open in Preview. So I deleted them, and synced again, successfully.
Now, all of a sudden 1 photo will no longer sync. It is a JPEG, 828 KB (846,311 bytes), but it opens fine in Preview and GraphicConvertor. The file name is still CIMG0094.JPG, but other photos with similar names sync just fine.
I'm going to try saving the photo as a GIF to see what happens.

  • Photos syncing from folder to iPhone all out of order?

I have 2 folders synced to my iPhone 4 photo app.
They were previous camera rolls before I set up my phone as a new device. They are all named in order and taken in order, for example IMG_001.jpg was my first picture in my old camera roll. IMG_822.jpg was the last photo taken before I did the backup, and is the last in the folder.
The folder I am syncing from on my windows computer displays all of the pictures by filename (and because of that, by date) but when syncing with iTunes they end up on the phone ALL out of order. I can't find any rhyme or reason to how they are displaying. Most of the earlier photos show up at the beginning like they should, and the last at the bottom of the scroll appear to be mostly right, but then it's completely random from there.
I've tried unsyncing them, removing them, and then adding them back again and nothing seems to work. I've even tried renaming the IMG_xxx numbers to different things and they still appear to sync in the same random order.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a huge bug for someone with OCD like me? lol

    This is highly annoying.
I have probably 15-20 Smart Albums in iPhoto 8.1.2 in OS10.6.4 that are syncing to iOS4.0
On the old software, my Smart Albums for photos would show up AS the smart albums I created. Now they show up in the iPhone one giant mess called "Photo Library".
I can view photos broken up under "Events" on the iPhone by specific dates, but the dates don't tell me what the name of the event was, and some Smart Albums had multiple dates grouped together in one Smart Album and I don't really want them broken out separately by date. I want them organized how I organized them...
In short, I want my photos grouped the way I have explicitly grouped them. It used to work, it doesn't now.
Since iOS4.0 I am also getting sync errors all the time in iTunes. "iPhone cannot be synced because the required file cannot be found." WHICH FILE??? tell me and I will delete it...
I've rebuilt the entire database in iPhoto (took 4 hours). I've scanned iTunes and removed all broken links and duplicate files. I've scanned the hard drive with the disk tool. I've emptied the iPhone and reinstalled iOS4 on it 5 times. I've turned syncing off for all non-essential applications and stuff I don't actually sync like voice memos. Same problem.
I think I want my iOS 3 back. I don't really like multitasking anyway, always having to turn off applications for the one or two times in a million where task switching if helpful...
    Ugh....

  • ITunes can no longer find my iPhoto - no iPhone photo sync ability...help!?

Hello...okay, some data - I am currently running Lion and all the latest software updates, I am also running multiple users on this iMac, I am also sharing the iPhoto library using the "Shared Library" method.  My wifes iPhone (via her own account on the iMac) does access the iPhoto library properly from iTunes and she IS able to choose certain albums to sync (instead of the "All photos,..." option).  I cannot.  Please see the screenshot I took:
Please note that the "Selected albums,..." option is greyed out and despite the radio button on "All..." being selected, no photos sync, ala, the error message.
It's as if my iTunes account no longer sees the Shared iPhoto file and refuses to "reconnect" to it...
iPhoto runs fine and launches from my account without issue...even launches when I connect my iPhone and download photos and videos.  So, like I say, I feel like it's iTunes no longer thinking I have a valid iPhoto running.
Both my iPad and iPhone give me this message.  Think it has something to do with permissions, but have run a permissions fix both from the Disk Utility and from booting holding down the Command +R method, and then using Utilities, Terminal and Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs.
I feel like my whole user account is kinda screwed ever since the migration to Lion, but a Lion reinstall did not fix it and I am not quite ready to start from scratch with a new userID...
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

Locate and remove the iPod Photo Cache folder(s). A new one will be recreated the next time you sync Photos with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod. Deleting this folder will not remove the original images from your library, but may solve your sync problem.

  • IPod Touch / iTunes sync error -50 on iMac, due to new upgrade for iPhoto

I have an iPod Touch, software version 3.0.
I have an iMac, on Mac OS X 10.5.8.
I am on iTunes version 8.2.1.
    I am on iPhoto 09 version 8.1 (415).
Ever since Apple released it's latest iPhoto upgrade about 2 weeks ago, I have not been able to sync my iPod Touch with iTunes, and instead getting a 'sync error -50'.
Apple's phone tech support did not know what the problem was and recommended me to Restore my iPod, as well as re-install iTunes. This did not help.
After much aggravation, I found a discussion group addressing the fact that it might have to do with the latest version of iPhoto. So, in iTunes I unchecked the sync iPhoto option, and now the rest of the sync's worked (iCal, Address book, music, movies, etc).
Still, I am looking for a solution, as I do not find not syncing my photos a long term solution. Can I do this on my own, or does a solution have to come in the form of a fix from Apple?
I want my photos back on the iPod, and am very thankful for any tips/help (...hello, anyone from Apple reading this?).

I don't think any of the work-arounds are really valid or deal with the problem. My Mac Pro desktop computer is 2 years old, so the problem obviously has nothing to do with a computer being new. I also don't see how it can have anything to do with iPhoto. If I get this error and "QUIT" iTunes and reboot iTunes, the iPod syncs perfectly, even though no changes were made.
I actually bought a new iPod this week because I thought my old iPod was failing (due to these repeated errors). Imagine my horror when the brand new iPod had the same problem.
Hopefully someone can figure out what going on.

  • Sync Error -39

Hey guys, whenever I try to sync my 8GB iPod Touch with my computer (HP Pavilion, Windows Vista) it always gives me error(-39). What do I do?

whenever I try to sync my 8GB iPod Touch with my computer (HP Pavilion, Windows Vista) it always gives me error(-39)
Are you syncing any photos? I've seen that one caused by a corrupt iPod photo cache before. Try deleting the photo cache as per the instructions in the following document:
[Photo Sync creates iPod photo Cache|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314]
With the old photo cache out of the way, are you able to sync without the error now?

  • Using iWeb to publish my mobileme photo gallery -really weird bugs help plz

I have a really weird problem and have tried searching the forums already with no luck.
I'm using iWeb09 to put mobileme photo album on my website. When I initially add the widget onto my page, the widgets will show a "preview" of what pictures are in the gallery if you hover your mouse over it. Later during the day, I'm not sure if I did anything to mess it up but that "preview" is no longer there. It's just a black box. It still works however if you click on it because it takes you to the mobile gallery.
The only way for me to fix it was to delete the mobile me album and create a new one. Then re-add the widget onto my iWeb.
This has happened twice to me already and I cannot figure out why it happens. I'm sorry if my description is vague. Please help.

There is no point in re-installing iWeb, because after you have published it really is not an iWeb problem - if there is something not working on uploading the files, then it is really nothing to do with iWeb after html pages have been created.
If you are using Fetch to upload, then you have obviously published your site to a local folder? If so, are the photos there when you look at your local site? If they are there when you publish to a local site, then it is an error in uploading and if photos do not show, it means that some things are not being uploaded to your server correctly.
Have you tried using Cyberduck instead of Fetch? Cyberduck or Transmit are two of the better ftp programmes to try.
