MobileMe Push schedule ?

Hi,
Just recently got and iPhone and Mobileme.
Does mobileme have a push schedule? eg. Only push email from 7am to 10pm, otherwise manual. I don't want to be bothered by email while I'm sleeping.

So there you go: sign up with a provider that uses Exchange/Activsync and offers push mail and you are all set. Since MobileMe is not, and is not intended (which it quite clearly states in the Terms of Use) a business tool, and never has represented itself to be such, but is push mail and other services for the rest of us that don't need Exchange/Activsync, I think it does exactly what is intended at a very low price. And since it is a stripped down home version it would add layers of complexity to implement this and there would be a charge associated with it.
If you want a business service with your iPhone spend the money and move to a service that offers these things and is intended for business use. Or use your employers Exchange/Activsync server. The iPhone does offer a way to do what you want, you just don't want to use it.
Clearly MobileMe is not the proper product for you, sort of like running your 1000 employee business on Microsoft Works. Find one that is suitable for a business person such as yourself. And please come back and let us know what the monthly cost is.

  • In GATP would like to push schedule delivery date+1 day

    Hi Experts:-
We have below requirement  in GATP:-
Can we maintain a condition record for pick /pack time  = 1 day against Shipping Point in particular Location.? In other word we would like to push schedule delivery date+1 day.
In APO we can see control data :- Plan (LEAD), load (LOAD), pick/pack (PICK), transport (TRAN), unload (UNLD)
In APO We have maintained  value = 24:00 for location XXXX ( as per below steps)
    1.     In the SAP Easy Access screen choose Master Data ® Master Data for Transportation and Shipment Scheduling ® Create Scheduling Step.
    2.     Select a condition type.
    3.     Enter concrete values for the key combination.
    4.     Enter a duration (external display: hhhhhhh:mm).
While checking order, When the process branches into APO ATP, can see time 24:00 This seems to indicate that Pick/Pack record has now been found, but the scheduled delivery date is not being pushed out by one extra day.
    Looking at the condition log in APO shows the following;;
Lead Plan:304 Access for Access sequence LEAD missing(Usage U)
Pick Pick : 208 Condition record has been found
Load Load: 304 Access for Access sequence LOAD missing(Usage U)
TRAN Transport: 009 Condition record is missing
UNLD Unload :  002 Access not made ( Initialized field)
    Can you suggest.

  • MobileMe Push and being to sync only certain Calendars

As far as I can tell if you turn on MobileMe Push Sync for Calendars or Contacts it syncs everyone of your calendars and groups to my iPhone, but that makes the list view in my calendar useless, since I have daily alarms for Applescripts and Alarms, but I don't want them showing up in my Calendar. I have them unchecked for viewing in iCal, so why would I want to see them on my iPhone. Not being able to turn these off really limits the use of the MobileMe Push as far as I am concerned.

I agree as well. You should be able to specify which calendars you want to see together and which ones you don't. My wife has her own calendar on our iMac and now all of her appointments on in my calendar when I try to look at my work/exchange calendar and my mobileme calender.

  • Mobileme/Push Email question

I was just wondering how push email typically works. I have many emails that I save in various folders on my computer, I wouldn't mind so much if it also pushed those emails to mobileme. However, if I get that email sent to my iphone I would want to archive it in a folder on my mac, but then delete it on my iphone. My limited understanding of mobileme/push email is that if I do something to a message on one device it automatically does it on the other devices. So if I delete a message in iphone it automatically deletes it on my computer and mobileme. Is there a way to bypass this for certain emails? I don't want any of my 8gb space to be used for much email because I will be using that space for music, some tv shows, and the many apps I want from the app store.

thank you so much for your quick answer. One last quick question. How does .Mac/mobile (the server) actually work with the apps on the Mac. I never subscribed to .Mac so I don't know if the server folders appear on the mail application in mac like the idisk appears as another disk drive. just want to know how user friendly its going to be to switch emails between folders.

  • Does mobileme push email work?

My email (mobileme account) does not get pushed to my phone, I'm wondering if I should contact Apple or is this a "known issue"?

it works for me - i followed this to set it up

  • Iphone mobileme push email

I have 2 Mobileme accounts. Both are setup on my Macbook Pro and my Iphone. However, in my Iphone only one of them allows for Push email. Both are paid for services and not trial accounts. Any workaround?

'Push-IMAP' isn't an Open Standard, so I'd avoid it. I'm not sure the iPhone supports Push-IMAP either (there where some rumours after the initial phone announcements that it would with Yahoo! mail).

  • Firewall magic required for AppStore and MobileMe push data?

I have a LAN with all publicly routed addresses. The iPhone gets one of them, fixed IP and all.
I can browse the web, get and send regular mail both on iPhone and computers.
I can access the iTunes music and app store from the computer.
What I can't get to work is:
    a) iTunes Appstore from the iPhone when connected to the LAN, even though it works over EDGE
    b) any sort of push data sync of contacts, calendars and bookmarks through MobileMe (if it works over EDGE I don't know, because the data is likely too much to ever successfully finish the initial sync, given there are thousands of bookmarks, addresses and calendar entries).
Regular sync through iTunes used to work, so there's enough space on the iPhone.
So either there is an issue with connections timing out or with ports that need to be opened. It is somewhat disturbing though that this might need more open ports than regular use of iTunes, web and e-mail.

MobileMe does not constantly push data. Data is pushed when there is data to push. You can turn push access off for received messages which will require having the account automatically or manually checked for new messages (fetch) but the same amount of data will be downloaded either way when new messages are received at the incoming mail server.

  • I need help with MobileMe push email!

*I have an @sbcglobal.net email account and just got MobileMe* so all my stuff is synced with my iPhone 3G. I dont want to have to notify lots of people that I have changed my email address to an @me.com. Is there a way that I can make all the messages sent to my sbcglobal.net account automatically be in the me.com account so that they are pushed/synced? And when I check my mail on my iPhone will messages sent to the sbcglobal.net address already be in the me.com account or will I have to go on my Mac and receive those messages there? And I dont want duplicate messages (the same message in each account). *I want it to seem as if there is only one account (the MobileMe account because it is pushed/synced) that recieves messages sent to the sbcglobal.net address and the me.com address; also when I send a message I want it to show to others that it is from the sbcglobal.net address.* Is this possible? Any hope?

Nevermind, all I had to do was set a rule for anything that came in the sbc account to be moved to the mobileme account and it works perfect.

  • Will MobileMe push all email accounts including gmail?

I'm definitely excited about push email with the iPhone 2.0 but something that is not clear to me is whether MobileMe will push and sync all of my email accounts or only @me.com accounts.
So basically, if I sign up for MobileMe will my Gmail messages be pushed to my iPhone or will it have to do the regular 15 minute check for new mail?
I'm really hoping it pushes all my email accounts because without that I don't think I could justify paying for MobileMe.

The questions on mail and MobileMe are ones that I have, too. But another question/issue that I have is the inability for my iPhone to separate calendars for me. I have 2 work calendars and one personal calendar. Plus I have a family calendar. I would really like to be able to look at my calendars on the iPhone and see what I have for personal, family and business. I was able to do this with my old Blackberry.
When I looked at the video for MobileMe, it seemed to accomplish this on the computer (mac or pc) but I don't remember seeing the iPhone give good distinction between different calendars (i.e. syncing different calendars or separating them by colors).
    Any thoughts?

  • Mobileme push not happening

    Hi,
I have 2 mobile me mail accounts, one of which has push turned on, this is also the one that my phone syncs with for everything.
So far it seems like I am not getting push for that email, I need to check when I have better coverage (at 3 bars inside here), but it says refreshing when i go into the mail app.
When inside I have it on wifi and i read that mobileme does not want to push when on wifi, but i tried taking it off and it still doesnt push, i did not wait long and maybe i should have given it a few more minutes, but im not sure.
I dont know if it matters, but i have an iphone 4.
    thanks,
    jon

Same issue here and I'm afraid it's by design. It looks like the iPhone can only receive push data from one account. We have a MobileMe family pack and 2 iPhone 3GS as well as Mac pro and iPad. These all share the master MobileMe account for contacts and calendars as we share these.
On my phone, I have mail, calendars, and contacts turned on for my account (the master account)
On my wife's phone, her calendars and contacts are synced to the master account (my account) but the mail opium is turned off.  I set her up with her own secondary account so she could experience the joys of her own push imap email. On her iPhone, mail is "on" but everything else is off. I assumed that mail would push from her account and the contacts and calendar would push from the master accept. No dice for mail, though contacts/calendar push fine. It looks like 2 different MobileMe accounts can't push to the same iPhone, even if they are pushing different modules. Sadly, this seems like a design limitation.
I can't imagine that my setup is unique for someone wanting a "family pack" lack of push email on a secondary account seems like a big oversight.  I'll  submit this as a feature request and encourage others to do the same.

  • Can't post comments to Blog after MobileMe push

My blog will not allow anyone to post comments now, since the MobileMe migration. When you click "add comment" it brings up the MobileMe migration page with info on MobileMe. I believe that I have set up everything necessary on my computer for MobileMe, so how do I get the blog to quit directing to this page? I have two autistic children, and I use this blog for their therapists to post comments about their daily therapy sessions - I really need to get this fixed QUICK! Also, when publishing the blog, I get an error message at the very end - "error publishing" - but everything is visible like it published successfully. Thanks for any help.

It is not just the Blogs, my Photos pages won't allow comments either. I just started with iWeb a couple of weeks ago and it took me a while to discover that the comments feature was not working. Made me feel kind of foolish, I had asked some friends to check out my site and then was a little perturbed that they hadn't posted any comments.
I would hate to try setting up on another site as I like the basic simplicity of iWeb.
Does anybody know of anything else as easy to use? I'm in the trial period and if this doesn't get fixed I definitely will not be continuing.

  • Push schedule available in ios5?

Should be an off peak push setting for manual fetch to avoid email notifications at 3 am

Then suggest it to Apple. We are users on this forum, silly, just like you!

  • The strangest thing with mobileme "push"

Something REALLY strange happened to me today:
    - i created a calendar voice in iCal on my iMac;
    - it did not sync with my iphone and even on mobile me on the web
    - it synced on my windows pc in outlook!
as now i can see my new calendar voice on my mac (where i created it), on my windows pc --> outlook.
I can't see that task on my iphone ond on mobileme web site neither
How could happen this? i am really confused.

    Hi,
The tilde (~) in the reference the other poster provided means your Home folder -- the folder that results when you click on the icon of a house in the Sidebar to any Finder window. The reference file will be in the Preferences folder of the Library folder found there.
With the original issue, if only using IMAP accounts, you might also simply remove them, and add them back in the Mail Preferences.

  • How to get SUBSCRIBED calendars synched on iPhone/MobileMe

Create, and place this Apple script in your Appliations folder
    Instructions follow the script...
    -- iCal Duplicator 2.0
-- MobileMe Push Sync with iCal does not currently support susbcribed calendars. This has disappointed some like
-- myself, who rely extensively on subscribed calendars. This kludgy solution copies events from a subscribed calendar
-- to a local calendar. Set your calendar names in the script, then run the script on a weekly/daily basis or manually to
-- update your local copy/copies based on the subscribed calendar.
-- Support for copying from multiple calendars has been added. You'll need to enter the source and destination names as
-- pairs. If you want multiple subscribed calendars copied into one local calendar, you can enter the local calendar names
-- multiple times as I have for the "Combined - Local" calendar.
    -- Christian Lindemer, July 15th, 2008 {macosxhints (a) dethbunny (.) net}
    -- * * * Edit values to match actual calendar names * * *
    -- The subscribed calendars
    property sourceCalendarNames : {"Davidcopy", "Othercopy"}
-- The blank local calendar(s) to copy in to, in the same order as the source calendars
    property destinationCalendarNames : {"Davidcopy", "Other"}
-- how many days to go back - the more you add, the slower the script runs.
    property oldEntryDays : 1
    on run
--make sure we have valid names.
    try
    tell application "iCal"
    repeat with testName in sourceCalendarNames
--this throws an error if there is no calendar with the given name, thus checking the calendar's validity.
set testCal to (the first calendar whose title is the testName)
    end repeat
    repeat with testName in destinationCalendarNames
set testCal to (the first calendar whose title is the testName)
    end repeat
    end tell
    on error
--if a name can't be found, alert user and halt.
    calendarNotFound(testName)
return --this effectively quits the script
    end try
    repeat with destName in destinationCalendarNames
    clearEvents(destName)
    end repeat
    set calendarCount to 1
    --repeat through all calendar names
    repeat with sourceName in sourceCalendarNames
--get the calendar names and pass them to the copyEvents function
set destinationName to item calendarCount of destinationCalendarNames
    copyEvents(sourceName, destinationName)
set calendarCount to (calendarCount + 1)
end repeat --repeat through all calendar pairs
    end run
    on calendarNotFound(notFoundName)
display alert "Calendar named " & notFoundName & " was not found in iCal. Please edit the script to match your calendars."
    end calendarNotFound
    on clearEvents(destCalName)
    tell application "iCal"
    --Clear the destination calendar
set destCalendar to (the first calendar whose title is the destCalName)
set calendarEvents to (events of destCalendar) -- get the destination calendar's event list
repeat with myEvent in calendarEvents -- delete each existing event
    delete myEvent
    end repeat
    end tell
    end clearEvents
    on copyEvents(sourceCalName, destCalName)
    tell application "iCal"
set sourceCalendar to (the first calendar whose title is the sourceCalName)
set destCalendar to (the first calendar whose title is the destCalName)
set calendarEvents to (events of sourceCalendar) -- get the calendar's event list
repeat with myEvent in calendarEvents -- repeat for each item found in the source event list
    --Don't bother with old events
if start date of myEvent > ((current date) - oldEntryDays * days) then --event is in future, or within prefs for old entries
-- gather relevant details of event to create new event with
set eventStart to start date of myEvent
set eventEnd to end date of myEvent
set eventAllDay to allday event of myEvent
set eventSummary to summary of myEvent
-- create event in destination calendar with details of subscribed event
    tell destCalendar
    make new event at end with properties {summary:eventSummary, start date:eventStart, end date:eventEnd, allday event:eventAllDay}
    end tell
end if --if not older than 'oldEntryDays' days ago
end repeat --iterate through entries in source calendar
    end tell
    end copyEvents
Let's say you have a subscribed calendar named "David"
Go into iCal and create a new calendar ("on my Mac") named "Davidcopy" with the same color as your subscribed calendar.
Repeat for any other subscribed cals you want to sync to iPhone.
    Open the CopyCal script
Edit the first line of (uncommented) code which starts with property sourceCalendarNames:
Change the names of the cals in this list to match the subscribed cals you wish to copy
Edit the list on the next line to match the NEW cals you created ("Davidcopy" etc)
Next look at iCal and uncheck the subscribed cals.
Run the script and watch the copying take place.
Now to automate this, set up an event everyday (as often as you like). Preferably this can be in another calendar you don't publish - so everyone doesn't have it cluttering their view of your cal.
For example I have events named "sync" at 9:30am and 5pm every weekday. For the alarm, use "Run Script" and choose the CopyCal.scpt.

    on copyEvents(sourceCalName, destCalName)
    tell application "iCal"
set sourceCalendar to (the first calendar whose title is the sourceCalName)
set destCalendar to (the first calendar whose title is the destCalName)
set calendarEvents to (events of sourceCalendar) -- get the calendar's event list
repeat with myEvent in calendarEvents -- repeat for each item found in the source event list
    --Don't bother with old events
if start date of myEvent > ((current date) - oldEntryDays * days) then --event is in future, or within prefs for old entries
-- gather relevant details of event to create new event with
set eventStart to start date of myEvent
set eventEnd to end date of myEvent
set eventAllDay to allday event of myEvent
set eventSummary to summary of myEvent
set eventRecurrence to recurrence of myEvent
-- create event in destination calendar with details of subscribed event
    tell destCalendar
    make new event at end with properties {summary:eventSummary, start date:eventStart, end date:eventEnd, allday event:eventAllDay, recurrence:eventRecurrence}
    end tell
end if --if not older than 'oldEntryDays' days ago
end repeat --iterate through entries in source calendar
    end tell
    end copyEvents

  • Integration of ECC Scheduling Agreement (Doc Type LP) with SAP TM

    Hello Experts,
I am trying to integrate ECC Scheduling Agreement (Doc Type LP) to create OTR in TM System. I have maintained below settings:
    1. Create and Activate Control Key
    2. Output determination procedure linked to LP has output type TRS0 with requirement 27 assigned.
    3. Output condition record has been created
    4. I have checked Business Functions are also active
I was able to transfer other Document Types like OR; RE; FD (ECC Free of Charge); SDF (ECC Subsequent Delivery - Free of Charge); Consignment Fill up and Consignment Pick up by maintaining these settings, but not able to push Scheduling Agreement LP to TM.
The output TRS0 is not appearing automatically and if I try to insert and execute this output in Scheduling agreement, Output is failing with error message: "Order is not TM-relevant"
Is there any other config or mapping or SAP Note that needs to be applied to achieve this integration? Because I believe standard integration is available for ECC Scheduling agreement (I have read in help.sap.com).
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vikram Bhardwaj

    Hello Vikram,
    You mean this documentation:http://help.sap.com/saphelp_tm81/helpdata/en/9c/787f3c0a771e57e10000000a114084/content.htm?frameset=/en/44/b0488e9c35612be10000000a155369/frameset.htm ?
I think there is talking about the integration for SCM Basis as SOS, not Order Integration.
