Mobileme widget

hi, when i insert a mobileme widget, I only can see my videos but my photos albums remain black : no pictures are visible as it is shown in the tutorial. I only can click on the link to go to my gallery photo album directly.
Any help about that ?

SOLVE.
I have found the reason it didn't work.
Before using iweb, i had photo galeries wich were limited to one user. After that, i made them invisible but with access for anyone. When i tried to use the mobileme widget in web : i only had a black screen.
Then, i have erased my mobileme galeries and publish them again but i directly made them invisible and with access for anyone.
That way : it works in iweb : galeries are show in the widget.
SO, if you have the same Problem that i had : 1) erase your galeries in mobileme 2) publish them again with access for anyone 3) chose whatever you want them to be visible or not, it doesn't mind for the mobileme widget.
I hope i am clear. My english is so poor.....

  • IWeb -MobileMe widget flash alternative?

I use an iMac and use iWeb to create and manage my website - it is great.  I use the MobileMe widget to have photos scrolling on my page automatically - very nice... unfortunately if a visitor views my website with an iPhone or an iPad ("the ultimate browsing machine") they cannot see this because their Apple device does not support Flash (yes I read:  http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash).  So where is the support for the heralded HTML5 in this MobileMe widget?  What is the alternative to accomplish the rolling photos so that iPhone and iPad viewers can see the content?   www.chriskopf.com.   Thanks, Chris.

    Here's one you could try...

  • MobileMe widget Gallery sharing

I have several iMovies shared on my MobileMe Gallery - posted as small, medium and large so that anyone browsing can click according to their bandwidth and patience.
I'd like to post these movies on iWeb to make them accessible to a wider audience (people I don't necessarily want going to my MobileMe gallery page where they can see family photos etc)
    Two problems:
    1) When using the MobileMe Gallery widget to post content, an arrow link is provided that directs back to my MobileMe - how do I delete/disable this link?
    2) Gallery widget doesn't provide the different bandwidth options that are available on MobileMe. How do I set this up?

    David:
That's a conundrum with iWeb. If you make the gallery isolated from your other galleries it can't be added and viewed via the snippet. However you can create and isolate the gallery and then embed it into a web page using iFrame code and an HTML snippet like these demo pages:
    MobileMe Galleries and Quicktime Movies
Adding a MMe Gallery from iMovie 09
Both examples are of galleries that have been hidden from the rest of my galleries.

  • Why are my mobileme galleries not showing up in the mobileme widget?

I've got this to work in the past. A few weeks back I deleted and/or changed most of my mobileme galleries. They are there, work fine, ect but in iWeb I cannot get them to show in the drop down menu for the widget!
Is this due to any ilife '11 upgrades or such?
Also...is there functionality to add screenshots to post here? I'm not seeing it!

    Try the following:
1 - go to the System/MobileMe preference pane and log out of MMe.
2 - login with a bogus username and password like "test" and "test". This clears the caches.
3 - login with your correct username and password.
4 - launch iWeb and try again.
It happens every so often. More a server issue than an iWeb one.

  • IWeb '09 / Mobileme Gallery Widget / No Albums or Movies / Snow Leopard

This is my first time trying to use the Mobileme Gallery Widget in iWeb '09 and all I can get it to do is tell me "No Albums or Movies". I have non password / no hidden galleries published via iPhoto '09 and iMovie '09. I even tried publishing via me.com. Nothing. It publishes my site to mobileme just fine I just upgraded to Snow Leopard this afternoon if that makes any difference. I had never tried this feature before today so I can't say if it worked prior to the upgrade or not. I do use a personal domain and iWeb does see this and can publish the site to it but all the site has is my test blank page and an blank mobileme widget in it. Any ideas?

Thanks. I'll try avoiding those features until there's an update to SL and/or iWeb'09. Happily iWeb09 with SL deals fine with my website in its current rather featureless configuration so I'll keep it simple for now

  • Aperture - iWeb - MobileMe...  WORKFLOWS WANTED!

I come seeking advice, and hoping this online essay will spark some discussion on the much-needed integration of Apple-apps online photo sharing and display capabilities -- and I promise to keep the rants to a minimum...
    *What I'm trying to do:*
Create a series of Aperture-published (or at least Aperture-based, since that's where my pictures reside) photo pages, pages on which visitors can...
    1) Quickly peruse the thumbs (with column&row arrangement, sizing, and framing options all determined by me), while also reading some descriptive text I've provided re the overall event being showcased;
    2) View individual shots at a modest but adjustable display size in Slideshow mode (with transition options I've set), and simultaneously see the associated Caption, Date and whatever other Aperture-stored metadata I've chosen to be displayed for that set of images; and then, if they so desire...
    3) Download selected images at their original, FULL-pixel dimensions (assuming I've set the page to allow that).
    4) PLUS, I want to have each of these individual pages indexed on an iWeb "Album Page", which allows for the contents of each individual photo page to be mouse-skimmed before actually clicking and going to that page.
    *An Impossible Dream?*
Not really. Everything I've just described is relatively easy to do -- but only in bits and pieces, it appears -- using Aperture, Aperture-published MobileMe Albums (aka Galleries) and Aperture-published Web Pages, iWeb '09, iWeb's Media Browser, and a MobileMe account. So now I find myself playing Dr. Frankenstein (that's "Fronkensteen"), and trying to stitch together a new form of photographic life online.
In other words, I'm just trying to create the kind of truly functional and flexible photo pages which SHOULD be a no-brainer by now, since all the features I'm imagining already exist! (Then again, I shouldn't ask for too much -- I mean it's not like Aperture, iWeb, and the MobileMe service are all from the same company, right?)
    *In OTHER other words...*
I want to publish Gallery-esque pages from Aperture, but ones which automatically include and display whatever combination of Caption, Title, Date, or any other Metadata I select. And ones which can be INDIVIDUALLY indexed on an iWeb Album Page, as opposed to simply dragging in iWeb's MobileMe widget (which so far as I can tell just gives you a single link to ALL your Galleries in one quick but inelegant whack).
    OR...
I want to publish Aperture Web Pages, but ones which aren't given a ludicrous "homepage.mac" URL (cripes, how old is THAT code?), and which can be easily seen by iWeb once published, so they can then be dragged into iWeb Album pages for convenient indexing and one-stop skimability by the user. (Also, pages for which Aperture has some sort of "Settings / Visit Page / Announce Site" pull-down button as it does for every MobileMe Gallery -- that's just being consistent.)
    OR...
I want iWeb's Media Browser to let me select and drag into iWeb the contents of specific Aperture Projects and/or Albums, but with all Caption, Date, and other metadata for the selected images included, AND (if I so choose) at their FULL resolution -- rather than only at their currently-designated Preview size, which is now the case.
    *Whichever way you describe it...*
I'm not really asking for anything all that new, just for some long-overdue integration between the already-existing photo-publishing abilities of Aperture, iWeb, and MobileMe. But before I start submitting more pages of "isn't this obvious?" input to their respective Feedback sites, I'd love to get anyone's thoughts, reactions, or best of all, suggestions as to how to at least partially achieve, the kind of Aperture-based photo publishing & sharing sites I'm still hoping to create.
Many thanks (if only for reading this far!),

Many thanks to both David and Bob for the above posts -- it's just nice to know I'm not alone in this frustration.
Sometimes I desperately wish Apple would appoint a CAO (Cross-Application Ombudsman), a "Minister for Inter-Application Affairs", someone whose only job was to track the functions and features in different Apple apps, to correlate that understanding with relevant user input from a dedicated AppleWorkflows Feedback page, and whose mandate was to then:
    a) make sure that the interface of each app behaved in a consistent and predictable manner (so that, for example, Option-clicking a disclosure triangle in a Viewer window list of video filters in FinalCut had the same functionality as Option-clicking a disclosure triangle in a Finder window list of folders and sub-folders -- which it currently DOES NOT);
    and
    b) - most importantly - make sure the individual apps talked to each fluently and interacted in logical, productive ways (the subject of this thread being a prime example of where that's NOT happening).
This person would have the authority to force the programmers working on different apps to actually talk to each other BEFORE new versions get released; to imagine intelligent, creative ways in which the different apps should interact-- and then require the programmers to implement those scenarios. Essentially, the CAO's only reason for coming to work each day would be to oversee the conception, development and implementation of cross-app workflows which benefit and free up (rather than block and frustrate) the multi-Apple-apps user.
The key is that this person (or persons) would have to be given some real power -- not just to recommend, but in many cases to actually require. (For instance, this person would long ago have required the Aperture team to release a free update which no longer published anything to a "homepage.mac" URL. All together now: "Duh".)
And, as mentioned above, they would have their own separate and well-publicized AppleWorkflows Feedback Page (plus a dedicated public discussion forum as well?), to which users would be actively encouraged to submit their ideas on Inter-App problems and possibilities.
Call me crazy -- but that's my dream, and I ain't givin' it up.

  • Iweb and using mobileme password protected photo gallery

I am trying to create a website. How can I access a password protected photo gallery by using MobileMe gallery widget in iweb. I need this capability. The unprotected galleries display using the MobileMe widget. Any suggestions?

    • Temporarily unprotect the Gallery
    • The Gallery should now appear in the list of available Galleries — add it
    • Protect the Gallery

  • IWeb and MobileMe Gallery

I am trying to upload pictures from the MobileMe Gallery.  I have albums published but when I move the MobileMe widget to the web page I am creating it reads "No albums or movies". Please help.

I've jumpstarted the MMe widget with the following 2 fixes before:
    Try this:
    quit iWeb
go to the System/MobileMe preference pane and log out of MMe.
login with a bogus username and password like "Ying" and "Yang". This clears the caches.
login with your correct username and password.
    launch iWeb and try again.
Ahother method that worked one time was:
delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
    launch iWeb and try again.
HOWEVER, a way to embed your MMe gallery and not worry about fixes is to go online and get the URL of your MMe gallery and plug it into the following code in an HTML snippet:
    <script src="http://gallery.mac.com/g/flash/photowidget_iefix.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script>
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    writeObj("http://gallery.me.com/MobileMeName/XXXXXX", 226, 199);
    </script>
Thanks to Wyodor for the code.

  • MobileMe gallery not showing in iweb

    Hi,
I seem to be having problems with the mobileme widget in Iweb.
I created a new album for my web page and when i pull the widget into iweb - it is only recognising one album. I have logged in and out of mobile me...iweb...tried the various suggestions from other forums and nothing seems to work...very frustrating.
I went onto the mobileme apple support where i thought there was 24/7 live support - but after trawling through different pages - couldn't find the option that would allow for live chat...not sure if that has been withdrawn now...but have not been impressed by how difficult it has been to get help by apple on this.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
    Regards,

  • IWeb Mobileme gallery cannot be found

I use iphoto to publish my pictures to my MM gallery this all works a treat and i can view them without a problem. When i want to share these pictures i always used iWeb and then the Mobileme widget, but lately it cannot find any MM galleries the list is blank. There are over 40 in there and it used to work i think it has happened since i put snow leopard on any ideas ?

Are the albums "hidden" or password-protected? If so, try temporarily undoing that and see if it makes the other 40 albums available.
If not, try creating one new MobileMe album in iPhoto, publish it to MobileMe and see if it makes the other 40 albums available.
...The above ideas are from this old thread:

  • IWeb does not recognize new mobileme gallery pics

I recently tried to update an iWeb site with a new slideshow from my MobileMe Gallery. I tried the MobileMe widget in iWeb. In the drop down menu that comes up with that widget, the new site does not appear! All other sites are there, but not the new one. When I look in my Gallery, it is there. What could be happening? I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard. Could that be the problem?

i opened a thread here about a month ago on the same thing. I used mobileme chat, and they said it was an iweb problem and to call applecare. seems like this is a real bug. The way to get around it is easy though, see http://web.me.com/studiosphoenix/Altf4/Photo_Galleries.html
Those all used to be widgets, but are now just pointers to the mobileme content. All the widgets have broken - almost one by one - over the past several months on all my sites:(

  • Streaming video from MobileMe weirdness

I have an iPhone 3G running 3.1.2. I'm on Rogers in Canada as this may be pertinent.
I have a number of home movies uploaded to my MobileMe gallery using iMovie. They range from 50-200Mb and were created with iMovie "mobile" preset. From the gallery I can stream these videos to my iPhone on Wifi. When I try to stream over 3G I get an error message "Cannot Play Movie-This movie could not be played". At one time I'm pretty sure I was able to do this, but it stopped working, possibly after an iPhone firmware upgrade. I suspected that this was some sort of hobbling to limit 3G bandwidth use, however the weird thing is that I created a personal webpage in MobileMe and linked all of these videos to the webpage using MobileMe widgets in iWeb. When I access the videos via the webpage, the videos stream just fine over Wifi or 3G. Same movies, same location, only with a link in between. I really can't figure this out.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated

    No.

  • MobileMe control bar

I would like to add a MobileMe widget to my web page, but I don't want the little control bar at the bottom that shows the name of the gallery or the little arrow that opens up another viewing page. Does anyone know how to hide it?
Barring that, what I am trying to do is have a frame that cycles various pictures through it. I have tried using a QT movie, exporting the photos from iPhoto, but when I uploaded the site my (and I really hate to say this) windows machine showed only a QT placeholder in that spot. Most folks that view my site won't have QT installed, so I figured I couldn't use that approach. Other than MobileMe, anyone have any ideas on how to accomplish this? BTW, I am not a web guru and can't program in JAVA or Flash or any of that other cool stuff, just plain Mac stuff.
Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

In iWeb click on the Insert menu and choose +Shape > Rectangle.+ Re-position the shape by dragging it over the control bar and change its size as needed. ...This works in iWeb '08 and I assume also in '09.
