Mobitracker mobihacker

i luv calling it mobi hacker. I think the developer of this software had some malicious intentions when he made mobitracker. Please Nokia investigate for us. I recently downloaded the application from Nokia stores on my 5230 Nokia. Without a warning the application was sending messages to 3 numbers i configured according to its request. The mystic part is that i never removed the SIM card from my phone and those messages sent to the 3 numbers were never delivered to the intended recipients. However, my service provider charged my account for those messages triggered by Mobitracker, though they never delivered nor shown as sent in my sent items. Please nokia help solve this mystery.

No I'm not blaming Nokia or asking it to take responsibility over something they did not develop. Anywhere, I have since uninstalled the Mobitracker apps from my phone. All I wanted to know is whether there are others who have had a problem with the same application, in particular, on sending discreet messages that were not delivered. It got me thinking that the application was triggering the sms and intercepting them, giving a false delivery messages. None of my 3 friendly numbers ever alerted me that they were receiving discreet SMSs from my phone yet Mobitracker was sending 3 SMSs every 10 minutes interval over a month period, nw you can imagine how many SMSs where sent.

Although you would need to backup essential data first, you could always reset device by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by user).

  • Need to disable auto sms

    Hi
Need to disable the auto forward of a single message to my 'contact list'. I have not done any change to the sysytem, except a change in my 'tariff plan'. Probelm triggered since then.
My contacts are telling that they are getting a same message, over and again.
Message starts as - Protect your Mobile with Mobitracker.
Then it gives some IMSI number as well as IMEI number.
Can somebody help me in disabling the same?

Although you would need to backup essential data, you could always reset device to "Out of box" state by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by user). Just wondered whether change of tariff has been recognised by MobiTracker as change of SIM causing it to send out alert.

  • Lost Mobitrak password on my E5

I needed to use my E5 again, while my new phone was being repaired.  When I switched it on, I got a police siren which I couldn't switch off.  I don't even remember loading Mobitrak on the phone, but it's calling for a password, which I don't know.  Please can someone help me get this thing off my phone?

    Hi MontaguE5,
Have you tried removing and re-placing the battery to reboot the phone? Did you also insert the SIM card in your Nokia E5 when the Mobitracker app lock got activated? If yes, try removing the SIM and see if you'll be able to access the phone's menu. This thread will also give you more information about the issue that you're having with your phone: forgotten mobitracker password.
Let us know how it will go. BTW, enjoy being part of the Nokia online community!
