Mod bus library for LV6.1
Hi
i'm using LV 6.1 .I need to automate an equipment that support modbus protocol RTUframing.
So is there any library for LV 6.1version. The version available on site is for LV 8.2 . Is this library compatible with LV6.1? Please solve my problem.

I saved for previous version from 7.0 to 6.1. I did get warnings on two of the files. All of the info is inside this zip file. I don't have 6.1 installed, so I have no idea if these will work.

Modbus Exception Code (communication with an Inline bus coupler for Ethernet)
Hi,
I have an Inline bus coupler for Ethernet (IL ETH BK DI8 DO4 2TX-PAC: http://select.phoenixcontact.com/phoenix/dwl/dwl13a.jsp?fct=dwl&asid=907909&name=db_en_il_eth_bk_di8... see page 23) and I want to communicate with it via modbus protocol.
In the manual, it says that the Modbus register for the local digital inputs is 8000. I use the MB Ethernet Example Master.vi in the Modbus Library in LabVIEW (Function code = Read Holding Register (3), Start address = 8000, Quantity = 2). It works the first time.
My problem is when I want to write into a register. In the manual, it says that the modbus register is (8001+X, and X=number of words). So I put these input: Function code = Write Holding Register (16), Start address = 8003, Quantity = 2). When I do that, I have an Exception Code 2, and I think it means that the address is not allowable. I've try several address and several function code and I always get exception code 2, 3 or 4...
I don't understand why read works but not write.
Can anyone help me please? I try to contact Phoenix Contact but the guy who can help me will be back at his office only next wednesday.

What do you mean by "bus" inputs and "bus" output? I know that I have 4 digital outputs (DO4) and 8 digital inputs (DI8) but I don't know how many bus that I have. I can connect to the module with its IP address, but in the page I don't have much information. This may be interesting:

I just tried to change quantity to 1 (because PD_words = 1), change the data array with one index, change the start address (8000 to 8035), function code to 16 and it says exception code 2 except for address 8001 (exception code 4: slave device failure).
Today I did what you suggest (incrementing the starting address (0 to 100 000) and I found some address without the errors... but these address are for the special registers (like modbus connection monitoring timeout, command register, process data watchdog timeout...).
I also did what you suggest about changing the stacked sequences to flat sequences and remove the outer sequence. Didn't really solve my problem hehe

I want to write a program to loop over all tags and copy the associated fotos to folders named with the tag-name. By this way I have a good structure to select the fotos on stick / DigiFrame.
I'm a Unify TeamDeveloper developer, so it's no problem for me. But: in TD I can generate the COM classes to access PSE. I think the right object library for this is Adobe Photoshop 8.0 Object Library.
I have a complete installation of PSE 8 on my computer but this Object Library is not present.
Does Adobe Photoshop 8.0 Object Library not serve for PSE8? Where can I get it?
the one I have is Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 Media Client 1.0 Type Library. There are some methods like GetTags. But what is the input parameter tagIds? The return is a object. But the Media Client has no class Tags.
I also searched google, perhaps already exists a plugin for such a export. But I found nothing.
Can anybody help me?

And in the beginning it was just a C++ project that you must add to manipulate SQLite. So, I think I should create something like that for migrate those libraries and later integrate with my project but I have never worked with this kind of libraries

How do I... Set up an entirely seperate iTunes library for my kids?
I would like to set up an entirely separate iTunes library for my kids on the pc which currently has one iTunes library and everything we own collectively in it.
There are some items not suitable for children (explicit music lyrics, "MA" or "R' movies, etc) that I do not want them to have access to. Disregarding the whole "parental control" settings, I would simply like to be able to open iTunes to a library which has only the content I deem acceptable for them so they can arrange their own play lists, sync their devices, etc, with minimal input by me.
Is there any way to do this? If so, How?
PS: I would only be using one iTunes account but would like to be able to drag content from one library to the other. For example, download a purchased movie into the "Master" account but be able to put it in the kid's library also.
i would like an entirely seperate libray, not just a playlist for them.
Thanks!Hmmm.... Of course I ignored the "causes problems" line and went ahead and set up a 2nd library anyway!
I experimented with a movie (Forbidden Planet).
1st I simply copied it from my original iTunes libray (it was in the "Movies" folder) on my hard drive into the new Library "Itunes1". Of course when I opened iTunes that movie did not appear in the new library (it was totally without any content). So I realized that the movie actually has to be loaded into iTunes. So I dragged it from my old library and dropped it into "Movies" tab with iTunes open with the new library. Success! Just like any other time I import anything.
So then I went into my hard drive and looked at the iTunes1 (the new) folder and the movie is not there! But it plays!. So I realized that the movie stays in my orignal library but is now there twice (). Once as Forbidden Planet and once as Forbidden Planet1 (there is a number "one" after the title).
I also have the one sitting in the iTunes1 library where I dragged it first.
Now, I can't delete any of them as the message "access denied" pops up!
So, the movies are duplicated when they are loaded into a 2nd library?
And they stay in the original library's folder system?
Or did I just do everything wrong from the start? (but the movie plays in both library's!)

How do I use one library for multiple iPods
I have three girls that recently got iPod nano's. I would like to use only one library for their music etc. How do I do this. when I installed the first one it worked great. Then when I installed the second one it won't recognize the first one. Then when I went back to factory settings on the first and synched her music the second one is not recognized. Help......
Sorry, guess I am not using the "technical lingo". I already had itunes on my computer for a medical review course that I purchased to study for a certification exam. When nano #1 was purchased I hooked it up, registered it, and synched music to it. When my daughter tried to play songs, the songs titles and songs were mixed (song didn't match title). I hooked it up to the computer. It said it needed to be formatted. So I did and reregistered and synced the songs back on. Everything ok. Second nano hooked up, registered, named different name than #1, synched with the music she wanted. Tried to hook up #1 and it didn't recognize the nano. I went to the website and found out how to "find" it on the computer, followed the instructions to find it, and again it had to be "formatted" to have it recognized. I was again able to sync her music. Will I have to do this everytime I try to sync more music? that could be a real pain!

I REALLY need help!!! My iPhone 4s is apparently OVER the amount of GB its supposed to have so it now will not even let me delete ANYTHING! Not my texts, apps- to free up space, NOTHING! It keeps kicking me off my email, wont let me get voicemail,see who last called on my "recents", wont let me send or receive text's or even let me change things in my settings. Now when I go to iTunes to sync, so I can try to free up space, iTunes sais there isn't enough space in its library for all my stuff so it WON'T sync either!!! I'm frozen and I have A LOT of VERY important stuff on my phone that I REALLY need! Can anyone tekk me what to do? PLEASE!!!!
First off try and go into your IPhone manually through My Computer and cut photos or anything you can through the device to be able to free space up so that you can continue to do what you want to do with ITunes. This way you will be able to create a backup or do what you have to do to manage your information, photos and texts on your device a little better.

Here's a possible workaround:
Create the slideshow in Iphoto and add a theme and music.
Install Picasa and it will include the slideshow on it's indexed list.
Upload the slideshow to PicasaWebAlbums and send the link to anyone you wish.
The music and theme is preserved.
Caveat: My playback pictures appear darker than usual but that could be just lousy photography...:)

How do i make a seperate itunes library for an external hard drive?
my brother bought an external hard drive to have his own itunes library. We attemted to download the program into the ex. hard drive. but what it did was transfer all my music to the ex. hard drive. So we undid it, and now its back on my computer. So what can i do to have a seperate library for the external hard drive?
Windows XPChoose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu, provide ~/Music/ as the path, drag the entire iTunes library to the external drive, and if desired, then to the iMac's internal one. If you put it in a different location than the default, launch iTunes with the Option key held down and point it there.
If the library contains rented movies, those won't play on a different computer.

External HD as iTunes library for 2+ Macs
Hello,
I am looking for the best way for my external hard drive to serve as the iTunes library for both my work iMac and my personal MacBook.
If possible I want to be able to add music (from CD - yes I still like to support my local record shop - and from iTunes Store) to the library while using one computer, and have that automatically show up in iTunes when I open it on the other computer. Can this be done without having to select the new files and click "Add to library" every single time I open my other computer's iTunes? I sometimes go long periods without using one of my computers and add lots of music to my library, so it's tough to remember exactly what is new. If that can't be automatic, is there an easy way to search for the new files that aren't yet visible on the iTunes screen?
So basically I want to know if my all of the content and brains of my iTunes can be on an external HD that can be used with multiple computers, and each computer I use simply serves as a controller for that iTunes library and scans for updates each time it opens. I'm not interested in options that involve using a cloud/match/sharing service, as I am often without internet service.

Drag the iTunes folder in the home folder to the trash but do NOT empty it yet.
Start iTunes and see if the songs play. No need to hold the Option key.
If everything works (play a song), you can empty the trash.

No need. iTunes will use the last library opened.
In order to access the music and library, you need to have the external connected and ready BEFORE you launch iTunes, else it will go back to the default location (Users/username/music) and create a new iTunes folder.
If this happens, simply hold the Option key again and choose the external drive.
You can use this drive on the other computer.
Simply plug it in and start iTunes while holding the Option key. This only needs to be done the first time unless you start iTunes with the external drive not attached then do as above. -

Is there a way to use 1 library for multi-user accounts on mac osx? I have 4 iphones and was previously using the main account only. I'm getting tired of having everyones contact lists downloaded into my main phone. I can't seem to figure out how to sync the music to the same library.

I sync 2 iphones with the same library, and to stop the other iphones contacts adding to mine I have two groups in the address book, one has my contacts in and the other my friends. I then just sync the appropriate address book in the info pane when the iphone is plugged in.

I have a 5th generation Ipod and plan on upgrading to the Ipod touch. Can I keep my one itunes library for both devices or does each device have to have its own itunes account/library?
You can't do that.
And before you decide to store any music that you own on a computer at work, talk to your IT department. Many organizations do not permit it for legal reasons. Standard policies are that anything stored on company owned computers is the property of the company. It could not be legally stored on their machines unless you transfer the licenses and all copies, physical and digital, to the company, meaning you no longer own the music. If they were to be audited and could not prove that they own the music, they would be subject to copyright violation penalties. Just use your iPod when you're at the office if you want to listen to music.
