Mod date not displaying in Files panel Dreamweaver CC

After upgrading to Dreamweaver CC, on OS X Mtn Lion, my Files pane will not display the Modification Date for both local and remote files. The column is there, but it's blank. I have tried hiding and showing that column in the Sites setup, but that did not work. Any ideas?

I can confirm that the solution posted by crockej does indeed work, I am not by any means saying that it is a perfect solution, and am sure that it is not the actual fix, but it does work, I landed up having to add JPG,GIF,PNG,PDF,SWF,FLA,ICO,SWZ,MPR,PSD,XLSX,INDD,AI all to fy file list and although this was 90% of the missing icons fixed, it still requires more like m4v etc.
Think of this as more of a temporary solution to the problem, but it does work.
This is what my /Users/XXXXX/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS5.5/en_US/Configuration/Extensions.txt file looks like now.

Bridge CS4 Search Not Displaying NEF Files + Keyword Problems

Hello, I am hoping someone can be of service to peculiar problem that apparently nobody else has had.
I am running Adobe Bridge CS4 (came bundled with Photoshop Elements 8) on a 2009 24 inch iMac with 4GB RAM and a 2.6mHz processor running Snow Leopard v10.6.2.
I use Adobe Bridge CS4 to add Keywords to all my photos and edit 14 bit Nikon NEF RAW files. I write the keywords to an .XMP sidecar
file.
Two days I ago I changed something in Preferences->Metadata and the next time I started Bridge CS4 and used the loupe tool on a NEF
file, it took longer than usual for the preview to come up and when it did, it was at 200% magnification instead of 100%. Once the loupe preview showed up, the NEF file had some sort of processing applied to it (it became more contrasted.) This was all within Bridge ant NOT Adobe Camera Raw. I quit the program and the next time I started Bridge, it crashed upon using the loupe tool. I looked up help on Adobe's website and it appeared I had corrupted preferences. Per Adobe's instructions I option clicked at Bridge startup to delete the preferences and purge the cache.
Everything appeared to be normal until today when I searched for a keyword and got 36 random results when I know I have hundreds of
photos tagged with that particular keyword. I started typing in other keywords and getting the same sort of results- very limited numbers of photos I have hundreds of. I always include all subfolders in all searches and used every search method available through Bridge to no avail. The searches always came up with a fraction of the photos I actually have tagged.
I then verified and repaired all disk permissions from the operating system installation CD and Bridge started returning results as
usual. However, when I clicked on an individual file in the Content pane, some of my Keywords started to appear in italics below the rest of my Keyword tree. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason as to why some images will return the Keywords normally and others in italics. Also, sometime the italicized keyword tree will include keywords I edited due to typos and thus no longer existing my normal Keyword tree. I gave the "Make Persistent" command a try. It converts the italics to regular case, but it also doubles the tag so I now have two of that tag (one in the normal keyword tree, and the now converted italics keyword tree.)
Now I'm noticing that all my search results are not including NEF files; just JPEG and the occasional DNG file that I made through Adobe Camera RAW. I'm not sure if this has been the case throughout my problem or if I just noticed it late.
Regarding not displaying NEF files in searches, it appears that it will default to displaying JPEG if it has the option because as of lately I have only been shooting RAW and some of those files are showing up in the still-wonky searches (still displaying random or no photos of keywords.) However, if I manually navigate to a file, I can open and edit NEF files with no problem, they just don't display in any search modes.

Snow Leopard and Bridge CS4 do have some issues. Some have no problems and others have much problems I'm afraid.
I use Adobe Bridge CS4 to add Keywords to all my photos and edit 14 bit Nikon NEF RAW files. I write the keywords to an .XMP sidecar file.
To my knowledge the keywords are written into the XMP Metadata that is saved in the IPTC section of file itself, the XMP data in the sidecar file contain the changes you made in ACR. In other words, the keywords you have added should still be there.

Changes metadata in prefs only affects the visability of the fields in the metadata panel. put or deselect a checkmark in front of an option will let you see or not see the field in this panel, the actual data and fields ar still in the file.

You can change the magnification for the loupe to 100 / 200 / 400 and 800 % using the scrollwheel or with loupe active the + and - keys. Bridge shows the settings that you made in ACR. If you have changed the default Camera Raw setting it will also change the thumbs for this file. A thumbs needs some time to be cached. First it shows with a black border around, when first cached it shows the embedded preview and in the second round it renders the ACR settings and High Quality preview (if you have not disabled this setting). Caching needs some time.

Maybe you need to let the indexing in find do its work again but it might also be a snow leopard issue. Try an other app (Digital Asset Management like Expresion Media or Portfolio) to check about the keywording and find. You can use a trial version for several days. You have several options to use find keywords. In the panel itself, in the filterpanel uner the keyword tab, when clicking on a visible keyword it only shows the files with that keyword or in the menu Edit / find (shortcut cmd + F) explore the options in this menu and also choose include non indexed and let Bridge start to index your files again.

As you can see the black border around some file that disappear after a while or when you select them they have not been cached. You used purge cache so most of your earlier cached results are gone and need to rebuild.

from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

JFileChooser does not display Korean files

I have an application that uses JFileChooser to select some files. The application is bundled with English version of JRE 1.6.0_06. On Korean Windows 2003 the application displays files with filenames in Korean and allows them to be chosen. However on Korean Solaris 10, it does not even display the files? Anyone have an idea on why there is this discrepancy?
I assume that the file with the Korean filename created on Korean Windows 2003 got created with the MS949 encoding for the filename. Similarly I assumed that the file with the Korean filename created on Korean Solaris 10 got created with UTF-8 encoding because that's the encoding set on Korean Solaris when I log in (its not set to EUC-KR). So how do I get the files to display and allow to be chosen on Korean Solaris?

P. S. I have the same problem with filenames in Japanese - on a Japanese Windows 2003 server the JFileChooser displays the files while on a Japanese Solaris 10 box, the JFileChooser does not display the files.

I am trying to pick up data from an excel sheet and insert them into a database. However, once updated, they end up with '?' values.
I have tried to make font.properties.ja as the default font.properties file, which failed to display Japanese characters.
Any suggestions?

Modes are not displaying

Iam New in SAP xMII. I created newly one Query Templates using TAGQuery. When i select the Data Source, it will shows the Servers details like Simulator(Simulation Server) in the server column but in the Modes column only iam getting "No Data Avilable", the default modes are not displaying in the modes column.
What is the problem actually i did ? How can i get the default modes ?
Can i have create new modes in these servers (Simulator, SQL , Aggregate, Alaram) ?
Anybody can give me the solutions for this.

First of all, in the Query Template Editor (if u hv not already SELECT the server name from the list) just simply click on the server name available in Servers' list, then u'll get the list of modes for the server
if still not shows, then
in the xMII Menu, check the Roles assigned to the server 'Simulator'. It can be checked from the option Data Access under the tab Security Services in the xMII Menu. Be sure if this server is assigned with Everyone, Administrator. if not, then assign those roles to that server.
Then also check the configuration of that server 'Simulator' specially whether or not it is enabled. this can be done from the option Data Servers under the tab Data Services in the xMII Menu.

Safari does not display PDF files?

My Safari browser does not display pdf files. Whenever a site I'm reading links to a pdf file, a new page open in black but without content.

Try this ...
Open a Finder window then from the menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Click Go.
If you see the: AdobePDFViewer plugin in the Internet Plug-Ins folder, move it to the trash.
Restart your Mac and try opening a PDF file.

Finder not displaying all files in remote directory

Sorry, this is a repost as I have gotten no response from my original request here: Finder not displaying all files in remote directory
I've exported pictures from iPhoto on my iMac to a shared directory on my mac mini. When I access that directory from my iMac, I can see some but not all of the pictures. I know the pictures exported properly because I can see them all from the mac mini. I can open up a terminal window on my iMac and see all of the files; I can also open those files from the terminal.
I'm running OSX 10.9.4 on both computers, with the mac mini also running OSX Server. I've placed a screen grab below from my iMac of what Finder sees vs what I can see from the terminal.
Why isn't Finder displaying all of my files?

Adding a new file to the shared folder results in me being able to see the new file from my clients regardless of where it was added from, however the "hidden" files do not suddenly pop up.
I tried a few more experiments that had interesting results, but still didn't lead me to an answer.
First I tried copying the files from the remote directory to a local directory; I did this in 2 different ways and had different results. Method A) I copied files from the mounted share to a local dir: "cp /Volumes/MyShare/dir/*.JPG .". Method B) I copied the files using secure copy: "scp user@server:/path/to/dir/*.JPG .".
Method A resulted in Finder not being able to see the files in the local directory, while Method B did. This was interesting and lead me to suspect an issue with the way I am sharing the directory on the server. From Server settings I have both afp and smb checked. I tried enabling only one or the other and reconnecting; but this did not fix the problem.
Next I tried exporting the photos from iPhoto again. Exporting them locally results in files that Finder can see. Exporting them to my server results the same bad behavior
Getting desperate, I also tried renaming all of the files from "*.JPG" to "*.jpg" but this didn't help.
One last experiment, I see the same behavior from both another Mac and a PC on my local network... FTP works fine.
Any more ideas?

Bridge CC not displaying video files

Bridge CC not displaying video files - I just installed the new Bridge CC and I am unable to view and play my video files. The files are Quicktime files. The title of the file is displayed with a QT logo, yet no video is registered. Has any one else has had this issue or has any advice?

I can view my Quicktime .mov thumbnails in Bridge CS6 but not CC. I have all the latest Adobe CC and Mac OS X 10.10.2 and QT 10.4 updates. I've removed the media cache folder and purged my cache - every possible fix I've seen on the internets and still, no thumbnails for .mov files in Bridge CC. I've toggled the "Generate Monitor-Size Previews" and "Keep 100% Previews" to no avail. If the New meta option on pages is what you are refering to then the site in question is likely not been upgraded to that beta feature. Only partners who have access to beta options under settings can access that to upgrade.

Text File Data not Displaying completely

Hi All,
Have one issue. The program correctly extracts the data & export to Excel. All column /field data's are dispalying.However while saving this data in a text file in Aplications server file path, though all column/ field data are extracting bit it is not displaying complete column/field data's i.e last 3 or 4 column data's are not displaying after 257 character space (but actually it extracts data.It is just not dispalying while i am checking text file via AL11).
What could be the reason of not dipslaying the all column/filed values in text file wherea as while exporting to excel it is displaying? is there any character length constraint for text file?

There is no restriction on the file size which you can upload on the app server. AL11 is nothing but a report program & there is a limitation on the max number of characters displayed on the page.

Site CFC's not displaying in component panel

Hi there.
I've created cfc's manually and they do not show up in
Dreamweaver's componet panel, nor does the folder they were saved
to (also created manually).
When I look in the Bindings panel after opening a cfm page
that calls a cfc with a query in it, the cfc is not displayed
either.
If I create a cfc through Dreamweaver and save it to the same
folder, the cfc is displayed in the Bindings panel and I'm able to
use the Server Behaviors panel to output the query.
So it looks to me there is some process that registers the
cfc (and location) when Dreamweaver creates the cfc.
Anyone know if there is a file I can update somewhere or a
process for registering cfc's created manually or outside of
Dreamweaver.
The site works fine and testing server is set up properly.

Date not displaying correctly

Hi,
we have an issue where date is not displaying correctly in report. it shows 1/1/1990. even in universe it shows the same value 1/1/1990. but if i run query at DB level it shows the correct date. Reporting Database is Sybase.
we are on Bi 4.0 SP 6.
Any Ideas.

Finally,i have narrowed down the issue. So here it is,Initially we were seeing date as 1/1/1900 in webi rich, IDT and BI LaunchPad. so than we have made changes to sybase. prm file in following location
........\dataAccess\connectionServer\sybase\extensions\legacy
in prm file the input date parameter is as below
<Parameter Name="USER_INPUT_DATE_FORMAT">'mm/dd/yyyy hh:m:s am/pm'</Parameter>
we changed it to
<Parameter Name="USER_INPUT_DATE_FORMAT">'mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss A'</Parameter>
and than we see correct date in IDT and Webi rich but not in BI LaunchPad. the connection we were using in universe is ODBC. so i have created a new connection using sybase CTL client and now i see correct dates in BI LaunchPad also. So i am not sure if i need to make changes to prm file in /dataAccess\connectionServer\odbc\extensions location for the report to show correct values using ODBC.

XML data not displayed on external applications (Adobe, PowerPoint, Word)

Hi,
I have imported an XML file into Xcelsius using the XML data connection button in Xcelsius 2008 SP1.
I would like to test whether the model is correctly picking up the data when XML file is updated.
The XML file is stored locally on my PC.
I'm able to view and refresh the data in Preview mode and in the .SWF file but when exporting to Adobe, PowerPoint or Word, I get #2148 error on opening.
I did add the path to the swf file and xml file in the Flash Player security settings with no success.
Any suggestions welcome

Hi Jenni,
Adobe PDF usually works because like Xcelsius it allows the SWF to load data from anywhere so I am not sure why that one would not work...
When you export to PowerPoint or Word that probably counts as a different SWF so try adding the folder where the PPT/DOC lives as trusted instead.
When I am in a VM I tend to add C:\ folder as trusted (meaning I can run a SWF anywhere on my C drive in the VM with trusted permissions).
