Model A1524 Unlocked, not working on China Telecom
JUst bought iPhone 6+ A1524 unlocked in Singapore, but not working on China Telecom. Is this the right version or is there a trick to get phone to recognize CDMA networks?
For any phone to work on CDMA networks it must be provisioned by the carrier. They will need to add the MEID of the phone to their database. However, I believe that all (or most) of the carriers in China are GSM, not CDMA.

I live in china and I have just purchased an iphone 5 from the UK. In the UK this is unlocked and I was using it with a O2 simcard for a month. I have since moved to China and I am being told that if I purchased my phone in the UK it will not work in China. Is this true? is there any way I can resolve this problem?

It would appear based on the frequencies the UK iPhone would work in China. However I would check with the carrier you bought the phone from and verify that it is carrier unlocked. Unless you purchased a factory unlocked iPhone directly from apple chances are it was carrier locked. -
Bluetooth unlock not working Z3Tc

I am experiencing issues with BT unlock not working.
My tablet was unboxed yesterday, so I doubt this would be a software issue...
I am able to connect both my Xperia Z1 compact and MacBook Air to Bluetooth, both are selected as available bluetooth devices in the unlock with Bluetooth settings.
I have tried both custom as standard sensitivity settings, but when I power-on my tablet (or resume from standby) my tablet is not unlocked as I would expect it to and I am presented with the alternative pattern to unlock.
I have already tried disabling screen protection by setting the option to 'none' and have set the unlock with Bluetooth option again. Offcourse, I also tried rebooting the tablet.
Any help would be appreciated. I have searched the net, but seem to be the only one with this problem. Possibly I'm doing something wrong but can't find it...As i understand it, i'm afraid this feature will not work with another phone. It may perhaps work with a computer but then it depends on the bluetooth software you have in that computer and if that software keeps a connection with the phone.
When you pair your tablet with another phone or pair two phones these will not keep a bluetooth connection with each other all the time. They will only be connected when you actually send something (for example a file) and as soon as that transfer is done they will disconnect from each other again. So when you press the on/off button, bluetooth unlock will not work as they are not connected with each other.
It will however work if you have a bluetooth device that is always connected like a headset, SmartBand or a SmartWatch. It will also work if you tap your tablet in your Z1 Compact under Settings -> Bluetooth just before you press on/off on your tablet. If you tap it there they will be connected for a short time before disconnecting again.

My international data roaming is not working in china, why?
I am currently traveling in mid-east china, but my data roaming is not working. it shows good single bar, but when I try to receive emails (from gmail or AOL account), it gives me error messages. it is very frustrating. it has been 3 days that I can't retrieve emails. I do have voice service though.
You might need to contact VZW for some trouble shooting help. Unless you are using a 3rd party simcard...then you might have to check with them to make sure their isn't an issue.

I am out of contract now on my iPhone 4.
I called at & t and they sent me unlock instructions.
I followed the instruction provided by at & t in the mail and did a backup/restore operation.
At the end of the process I did not get any confirmation saying the iPhone 4 is unlocked.
When I contacted AT & T
"According to our system your device was indeed unlock by us in the service but the itunes process failed. You will need to try it again, and if it does not work contact Apple to see if there is a problem with itunes"
I tried multiple times after that but no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

GaneshWhich "restore" are you doing? You need to connect the phone to iTunes and click the Restore button on the Summary screen, not the "restore from backup" that you see when right clicking the name of the phone.
Note that if the phone has ever been jailbroken and the baseband replaced it is no longer possible to do an authorized unlock.
Note also that if your computer was EVER used to jailbreak any iDevice (iPod touch, iPad or iPhone) the network database on your computer is corrupted and you will have to fix your hosts file before your phone can be activated. -
Ipod 2nd Generation, Slide to unlock is not working - Ipod is not reponding to "sliding". I've tried a soft reset but it still won't slide to unlock.
You probably encounter the same problem then mine. The problem is not hardware but software due to a bad update by Apple. MIne was working perfectly... I repeat perfectly... No bugs and no problem at all and just after I decided to update the OS it stop working!
I did try all those tricks... restore, factory restore,... even go to the App Store where they tried to push me to buy a newer product or to pay for a fictional repair since the issue is not physical. It doesn't have a scratch or even a single drop of liquid... It was a careless update. A way to push people like me and you to throw their old iPod Touch into the garbage. The only solution will be to find an older OS but it seems to be impossible to find.
For sure I will never buy a Apple product again ! -
When I left country for Mexico, I called T-Mobile to ask how to use my phone while in Mexico. I was told I had to restore/unlock my phone, and they sent me the protocol. However, it did not work, and the T-M tech told me I had to contact Apple. The tech at Apple told me how to restore, which I was able to do once I arrived in Mexico.
The Telcel provider got me back to a home screen, and installed a Simm Card, but I have no service.
Is my problem with the restore problem, with T-Mobile, or something else. Can someone help me navigate this process? If you need more info, I will try to provide it.

Modelling of hierarchy not working

created the model with with 2 buttons just as mentioned in the link.
But still drill down & drill up functionality is not working.
Please provide pointers for resolution.

I have created the model just as given in the article.
Whenever I go to some node & press drill down, cursor automatically comes to the top most node but no drill down happens,
whereas if I press Drill up & drill down from top most node it works only for first time i.e. once.
can this issue be due to patch problem? or is there something that i am missing?

I purchased a new vehicle and the older ipod nano I have will not work through the USP port, only works through the aux plug. Is there a download i can get toput into the nano that will then allow me to use the USP port instead of the aux port?
Check with your dealer and see if there is a special cable available for connecting your iPod. It should have a dock connector on one end and USB and miniplug on the other.

Using Oracle Data Developer 4, I cannot get the example on https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E57998_01/doc.41/e57984/tut_data_modeling.htm#DMDUG36173 to work as described. The Foreign Key fields in the logical model are not generated. They are only generated in the relational model when I develop the logical model. However, the names follow the template {table}_{table}_ID, which will cause problems for long table names. Now I have two questions:
1. How can get the foreign key fields to be generated in the logical model, as descibed in the tutorial?
2. Where can I see the default naming rules for generated fields used by the program and where can I change them? - I found a description how this works in Version 3, but these options do not exist anymore in Version 4.2. In version 4 the template definitions are defined in the properties for the Design.
Right-click on the Browser entry for your Design and select Properties.
In the tree in the left panel of the Design Properties dialog, expand Settings, then expand Naming Standard and select Templates to display the Template definitions.

Account lock from password_lock_time - Automatic unlock not working

I have created a profile with password_lock_time = .01389 (20/1440), set up a test user, and set the user to the new profile. Then I logged in with an invalid password several times and verified from dba_users that the account_status = LOCKED (TIMED). The problem is that several hours later the account has still not unlocked. Am I missing a step or does 11g not allow a fraction to be used for the lock time?PASSWORD_LOCK_TIME can be specified in fraction;

No matter where you purchased it, it's beyond the one-year warranty. To repair it would probably cost more than it would to replace it with a new phone (even if it's a used phone and new to you).

Slide to unlock not working but I can slide to answer calls (power button broken) HELP!
Can anyone please help? 24 hours before my upgrade is due and my iPhone 5 has decided it won't let me slide to unlock...I can slide to answer a call no problem weirdly so Im thinking it isn't a fault with that part of the screen? My problem is compounded by the fact that the power on/off button hasn't worked in a while. this hasn't been a major issue until i am now trying to at least back up and then restore my phone. I can't enter the passcode to restore it! And i can't try lots of the suggestions I've seen which is holding the home and power button together as my power button doesn't work. I can't even sell the phone as faulty at the moment as i have no way of getting all my data off it!
Take the device to Apple to address the hardware issue.
