Well, they are a bit different. DSC-QX1 is a mount for using E-mount lenses. QX30 and QX100 has built in lenses with among other things different amount of zoom. I'd recommend that you visit a retailer to compare these for yourself to see which one that fits your needs.

    Hey CarmiePelusoSmith,
    I don't see why this camera wouldn't work with your Boost Warp phone. It should work with any current Android phone and connects to the phone via NFC or WiFi.
    Thanks,

  • When I try to attach my css style sheet Dreamweaver gives me an error saying that my .css file appears to be an .html file and will not attach. How do I fix this so I can attach my style sheet?

    I have built a css style sheet in Dreamweaver. When I try to attach it to my html website, it prompts me that my "css file appears to be an .html file and cannot attach". I've tried removing the /* */ as suggested by other forums, but this has not resolved the issue. I was using css style sheets with no problem 2 days ago. Now I get that error message. How do I fix this so I can attach my style sheet?

    What does the code of the CSS file look like?
    An external CSS file needs to be written in CSS only (no html tags like <html>, <body>, <head>, etc ).
    It also must have a .css file extension, if yours has a .html extension it won't work.

  • Automatically attaching CSS style sheets to new documents

    I wanted to alert everyone to a great new Community article published by Adobe Community Expert David Powers. The article details how to attach CSS style sheets automatically when you create new documents.
    Here's the article:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/505/cpsid_50564.html
    This handy option is easy to miss, especially if you don't use the New Document Dialog box to create documents, so big thanks to David for highlighting this.
    Furthermore, the appearance of such an article is a great example of how Community content can interact and live symbiotically with Adobe Help. We've linked directly to David's piece from our documentation, and this is indeed a great thing because David is able to go into much more detail about the process of automatically attaching style sheets than we are able to do in Help:
    Create a blank page
    Create a page with a CSS layout
    If you're interested in publishing Community articles of your own, you can download the Community Publishing AIR application and get right to work!

    Can I ask why?
    David's excellent standard should be the minimum standard for Help files.
    The quality of software manufacturers' Help (not just Adobe) has deteriorated greatly over the past decade - to the point where it's now my last resort for learning.
    Software manufacturers seem to tacitly rely on 3rd party book authors (such as David's brilliant material), bloggers and online tutorials to explain their products these days.
    I'm happy not to have a printed book with my software any more because they were always out-of-date and hard to update. However the quality of PDF and online Help docs is so poor and sparse for my use that I prefer to get my answers by Googling, visiting forums or buying the occasional book.

  • When I design with Muse and export as HTML Dreamweaver doesn't attach the style sheets. Any answers?

    When I design with Muse and export as HTML Dreamweaver doesn't attach the style sheets when I open the files with Dreamweaver. Essentially when I design with Muse the files don't render the same with Dreamweaver. Is this a bug? Any work arounds?

    Then you will have to install a local server and use live view.  It's not that DW isn't rendering it or isn't attaching it, it's that Muse decided to use server-side processing to include it which is ok for a CMS practice when you are combining stylesheets for better caching, but it really isn't ideal for a single style sheet.  This is a shortcoming of Muse and one of the reasons many professionals don't back the product at the moment.  That and you can't actually buy Muse, so unless you are on a subscription you don't have it.  It's trying to fill a void for those who don't want to invest in the professional design tools like Fireworks or Photoshop or Dreamweaver, but want a cross between them to make designs.  If you have invested in the subscription though and want a better way to make layouts I highly recommend coding it yourself and using Fireworks or Photoshop to do the layout for you.  There is an excellent tutorial on the devnet (3 parts) to show you how its done ( http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/dw_fw_css_pt1.html ).  Once you start using Fireworks or Photoshop you will realize just how limited Muse is in design.

  • Trouble attaching css style sheet in DW MX

    Trouble attaching css style sheet in DW MX (NOT DW MX 4)
    I am currently using Dreamweaver MX , and for some reason, in
    design view, the style sheet does not attach (a least I can't see
    the change). My divs, and images are all stuck to the upper left
    corner, as though it were not attached.
    A friend told me it was because I have MX and Not MX 4 , does
    this matter?

  • Which model of Lenovo smartphone are upgrade able to kit kat 4.4

    Hey I would like to know which model of Lenovo smartphone are upgrade able to kit kat 4.4
    Moderator Note; subject edited

    I am on my third s4 in three weeks because of overheating. The first fried itself into oblivion. The second overheated, and would shut down. The current one  is 48 hours old, overheated 5+ times on my way home from work after having it for 24 hours...and fried the sim card reader.
    I had a loaner S3...24 hours after having it: boot loop.
    The entire S3/S4/S5 line is defective. Verizon is insane for letting their reputation turn to sh!t because they are ignoring it, and insist on replacing like for like (S4 for S4), and enraging their customers. I have BEGGED every day for TWO WEEKS for a replacement that is NOT another S4.

    I've used Firefox for years and happily. I attached a Logitech camera and downloaded Skype a few weeks ago when I also loaded iTunes for my iPad. Now the site goes out almost everyday. Can you help me?
    I can't undertsand what is going on since the closing has never occurred before.
    I have not written down the incident #s.

    The offer from EE was presumably to fix the phone , which they are entitled to do, you turned it down.
    You can either go back to them and take up their offer to repair or you can try the Nokia warranty which will involve you contacting Nokia direct either by taking it to an authorised/approved Nokia care centre or submitting an online claim under the warranty to Nokia and following whatever instructions they issue for sending the phone to them.
    You have not so far contacted Nokia as you have dealt only with EE.
    I'm surprised the EE assistant told you the phone was being sent to Nokia rather than their inhouse technicians although I think that was simply a mistake on the assistant's part.
    How did you get a PAYG phone from EE? I thought EE were offering contracts only.
    So far as time scales EE don't post phones backwards and forwards on an individual basis. The shops use courier services and the frequency of deliveries and collections will depend on the number of shops in a town and the level of goods going back and forth.

  • How do I get Adobe Lightroom to load when I attach my digital camera?

    When I attach my digital camera, Preview loads automatically. How do I change that to load Adobe Lightroom?

    Open iPhoto on your system, and then go to the General section of its preferences. In here you should see an option to set an application to open whenever a camera is connected. Select Lightroom from the drop-down list if it's available.

  • Attaching CCS Style sheet

    When I go thru the process of attaching a style sheet to a line of text, it doesn't give me the preview option and doesn't attach the style to the text. I browse, select the saved CSS style that I created, but the preview button is grayed out. clicking Ok doesn't change anything. What am I doing wrong?

    So if I want to have 3 or 4 different type styles in my web page, I put them all in one CSS file and link the one file to my document?
    Yes.  In fact, one  external CSS file can contain ALL  styles for your entire website.
    Example CSS:
    h1 {font-size: 1.5em; color: #993300; text-transform: uppercase}
    h2 {font-size: 1.3em; color: #006633;}
    h3 {font-size: 1.1em; color:#666;}
    p {font-size: .90em; color: #000;}
    .center {text-align:center}
    .right {text-align:right}
    Example HTML:
    <h1>here is a main heading h1</h1>
    <h2>here is a sub-heading h2</h2>
    <h3>here is a sub-sub-heading h3</h3>
    <p>here is normal paragraph text</p>
    <p class="center">here is a centered paragraph</p>
    This is a scaled down version of how it  displays  on screen.
    Use the DW HTML and CSS properties inspectors to add styles to your text.

  • Lightroom not reading correct data for Lens and Camera Serial Number

    Hi you all.
    Recently got Lightroom, and I'm so impressed - I never imagined image organizing and adjustment could be this easy and at the same time very advanced.
    I have a problem, however. Lightroom (and Adobe Bridge, too) does not correctly read the EXIF data of Lens type and Camera Serial Number.
    The first ~50 images I took and imported turned out correctly and displayed my serial number and lens (18-55 mm Canon) inside Lightroom.
    But now, whenever I import photos into Lightroom or view them with Bridge, they all display "Unknown Lens" and "Unknown Camera Serial Number".
    At first I thought that maybe the camera didn't correctly record this data on to the photos anymore for some reason, but a comparison using EXIFToolGUI shows that the metadata is EXACTLY the same as in the photos that display this info in Lightroom correctly.
    I have not done any changes to either my camera (Canon EOS-350D / Digitial Rebel XT) or lens (the kit lens, 18-55 mm Canon).
    It seems that for some reason, Lightroom has stopped reading these two fields of metadata - all the other fields, such as aperture and shutter speed, all display correctly.
    I also tried to reimport the photos into Lightroom, but it didn't help. Neither did "Synchronize Folder" -> "Scan for metadata updates".
    What should I do? I'd like my lens information do display correctly, as I'll buy a new lens soon.
    I have attached one of the photos that Lightroom doesn't read the data correctly from. Try importing it into your Lightroom, and see if how the info displays.
    Thanks in advance.

    Are these jpgs or RAW?  I have only edited metadata on jpgs.
    It looks like Vista's import stripped out all the makernotes.  I didn't look at your file but that seems to be what happened.  Be warned, Photoshop CS2 also strips out makernotes!
    Now how to fix the problem.  If you want to edit the metadata on files already loaded into LR, you need to write out your metadata to the files first, then edit the metadata, then read the new metadata into LR.  This is scarey for me, so I always make sure my backup is up to date on the images first.
    What to do...  You probably can't put back all of the makernotes, so what to do to get the lens information in.  I don't know if putting back in the makernote LensType would trigger LR to reconsider its lens information.  I don't know.  If it had a real lens name, my guess would be no because it would have an XMP::Lens field which would override.  But maybe unknown lens doesn't have this field and it would re-read the makernotes.
    The other solution is to forget about makernotes for these images and put the exact text you want into XMP::Lens.  I think that's the "easy" way.
    In either case, you will have to become familiar with exiftoolGUI or exiftool itself.  I use the command line exiftool but it looks like you can edit multiple files with exiftoolGUI.  Select your files, click the edit thingy (^) under XMP, choose various, and there is lens.  Put in the text you want.
    I would do this with one file first.  If the lens shows up after you read the new metadata into LR, you know you have it right.
    Note, exiftool can write backup files for each file.  This makes too much of a mess for me.  I prefer to copy the directory first (I have copies anyway, I just have to make sure the backups are up to date).
    Good luck!  I'm struggling with a similar situation where the same lens used by two different cameras is coming out with a different name.  I need to go back and "fix" the names in the images already imported, and then develop my procedure for setting a single unique name before I load new images into LR.  Not too much of a problem because I'm loading in GPS information anyway...  What's another call to exiftool...
    Judy

  • Lens or Camera first? Lens suggestions?

    I am looking to jump into the DSLR market.  I am upgrading from a SX10 IS point and shoot which I use fairly exclusively in manual settings.  I am looking to get into many different types of photography including: landscape, time lapse, star trail, action sports (both indoor and outdoor), and a general goto camera.
    I do not work as a professional by any means, nor do I get out every weekend to shoot pictures.  However, in the coming years, I will be doing a lot of traveling (camping, touring other cities, backpacking, etc) so it will get used a lot more heavily.  I am looking to try and keep the whole purchase under 2k.
    I have read many posts across the internet on the subject saying one side or the other.  I also have read rumors of new cameras coming out in early 2013.  I have family members that already have canon lenses that I could borrow, I just dont know which ones they exactly have.  Eventually I would be looking to make my own collection though.
    Cameras that I have been considering are the 7d,60d, or the t4i.
    I like the shooting speed of the 7d and can afford the cost, but will have to settle with the kit lens that comes with it for a while.
    I like the 60D because I have heard a lot of good reviews on the image quality and the pictures I have seen of sky photography.  (I know this has a lot to do with the lens as well).
    Then the t4i because of it realatively inexpensiveness and I could buy an extra lens or 2.
    I would like to keep my sx10 but can trade it in for the loyalty program maybe?

    There will always be rumors of new camera coming out, so I think you just have to bite the bullet and buy when its a good time for you.

    I think you have a pretty good evaluation of your options, and the benefits and tradeoffs of each model in terms of capability and opportunity cost.  Good catch also on knowing your family members and any lenses they have are an excellent resource to keep in mind.
    My first question is to find out what they have.  If they have a wide assortment, I'd recommend that you can opt for a 'better' camera/body sooner.  Otherwise, I think its a great idea to start with a T4i.  In the whole scheme of things, its a very inexpensive body, and the money you save to put towards building up your own collection of great lenses will be worth it.
    As a professional now, I started out with a T2i back when it was the newest T#i.  I used this as an opportunity to get used to the Canon user interface for the manual settings that I understood already (coming from a video background).  It sounds like you will have a similar situation.  Then, I worked on developing my creative eye, and using and understanding the capabilities of different 'cheaper' lenses (the kit 18-55mm and a 55-250mm telephoto, then soon after the 'nifty-fifty' -- you'll understand these references after your first few months with a DSLR).
    As I started hitting roadblocks due to lens capabilties/specs, I figured out what I couldn't do that I wanted, what lens could help me with that, and began investing in "good glass".  I borrowed a better camera/body a few times in the past two years, but it literally was not until last month when I finally upgraded from my T2i.
    Any decent body/camera will do when it comes help you with the to the most important part of photography: seeing good shots.  Better lenses give you more ways/options of "seeing". Arguably, a camera could too, but I think more accurately, it should be said that it just helps more consistantly capture what you see and are inspired by.
    To use an analogy: its like learning how to drive.  You want something reliable and capable to start -- you learn the basic features of the equipment and also the rules of the road.  Then, you can get a "nicer" car and appreciate what makes it nice. (Lenses don't fit very well into this analogy... )

  • LR RC - Lens Profiles & Camera Calibration (Panasonic left out?)

    I don't see any Lens Profiles for Panasonic in the latest release - is there an initiative underway on that?
    Similarly the Camera Calibration for Panasonic cameras simply offers an 'Abobe Standard' Profile whereas for various Canon, Nikon & Pentax models additional Profile options for Landscape, Portrait, Vivid etc etc are included.   Will the cameras given that range of coverage be expanded?

    Addendum
    Yes, I made my own Lens Profiles for my older cameras, but hoped that a current model (in this case a G3 Panasonic) would have a Profle built by Adobe.

  • How do I attach my iSight camera to my Apple Cinema Display?

    I've just bought two iSight cameras, and found nothing in the accessory kit with them that would allow me to attach the camera to my Apple Cinema Display. This is because the back of the Cinema Display is beveled rather than flat, so the flat base of the accessories won't set firmly.
    Does anybody have a solution for this?
