Model Hierarchy with AutoCAD

The Procedure:
I import CAD drawings into Acrobat and create beautiful 3D models...so far so good
The Problem:
The model hierarchy can not be blocked.
I would like to display only 1 model in the model hierarchy, so that no parts can be hidden by customers
how can this be done?

I am a little bit confused...
you are talking about Drawings (which are 2D elements) and then 3D models
Could you please specify me the format of the CAD files you want to convert ?
Regarding "model hierarchy can not be blocked"., what is exactly your request ?
I mean, supposing than user cannot have acces to the mode tree, it's still possible to hide parts by selecting the requested part, right click Part Options / Hide or Isolate.. so restricting Model tree acces will not be usfeul in that case.

The issue is related to the Program Category
In trans PEST when assigning the program category there are actually two categories with a description 'Execute Posting Run'
It would appear one relates to RPCIPE00 and the other to RPCIPE00_OLD
When I switched category it solved my problem

Does anybody know how to manage a recursive hierarchy with BO? Is there any operator such as the u201CCONNECT BYu201D clause in Oracle which allows the generation of a "transitive closure" (direct and derived child-parents relationships)? Or is there a modeling strategy that lets a flexible simulation of those particular dimensions?The following relations could help everyone understand the present situation:
Zone (Zone_Id, Common_name, type ... ) Id is the organisational surrogate key Set_Zone(Zone_Id, Parent_id); the relationships between a Zone and its parents DT_Exetensions( Extenstion_Id, Zone_Id.....) Zone_id is a reference to the Zone Dimension
As we don't know at design time the depth of a particular segment we don't use a fixed-depth hierarchy. The problem is in absence of SQLu2019s extensions any query that concerns a particular level should discard the records that belong to the lower one which prevents correct drilling operations. How could I force the Front-End tool to generate the proper SQL code?

I do the same thing I do when I have a lookup table that has multiple links to a fact table......
Dup the table and give it an alias (if you are using business views - add the tablea second time and give it a name like ZONE_PARENT_TBL, if you are in CR when you select the table, then add it again, the wizard will throw a warning, and when you say yes it will add a second one and name it ZONE1 (if first was called zone) or you can rename it - now your good to go

Uninstalled and reinstalled Flash. No change. The only thing that seems to consistently resolve the problem is disabling the Flash plugin.
I tried creating a new profile, but when I transfer the data suggested in this:

I get an error window when opening firefox with the new profile ...something about security settings not working correctly...but I can print every time even though the Flash plugin appears to be installed and enabled. So I assume there is some kind of problem with my current profile. Any suggestions on how to find and correct it or a way to get most of my data into a new profile...that works...would be appreciated.

Hierarchy with External chars, how the external char automatically derives

We have Profit Center hierarchy. It has 'Profit Center Group' as a external char. We have account also in the aggregation level.
The hierarchy is on Profit Center with Profit Center Group as the parent nodes to the profit centers.
There are multiple hierarchies like legal, and management. We should be able to plan on different hierarchies properply, with Profit Center Group derived / created automatiically as per the hierarchy chosen in the variable.
The Profit Center and Group Profit Center are not in the rows and the account is. We tried to plan on the the account hierarchically with diaggreation turned on.
When Data posted, we wanted the Profti Center Group get derived as per the hierarchy chosen in the variable. Right now a blank Group get's posted in the database.
This worked with the Char Relation of type Hierarchy with Hierarchy value fixed. There is no way, we can define the varialbe hierarchy and also Exit Class is not able to read the source variables.
How to make this based on hier variable, or if Char Relationship definition on the InfoProvider in the Plan Modeler not all needed as the relation between Profit Center and Profti Center Group is already in the hierachy chosen in the variable for Profit Center.

Hello Shashi,
derivation can only work, when Profit Center Group is not in the aggregation level. When you have more than one hierarchy on Profit Center (you are using in queries) I suggest that you create one hierarchy on Profit Center with Profit Center Group as foreign characteristics to be used in characteristic relationships. This is then a fixed hierarchy that defines what can be derived from Profit Center for all hierarchies you are using in queries.
Then you need no exit implementation. In addition, the hierarchy used in the characteristic relationship defines the admissible combinations in the cube. The hierarchies used in the query are only views on the cube data, in fact the foreign characteristics in hierarchies used in queries are treated as text nodes.

Working with autocad and windows on mac

greetings guys,
i have a new imac on which i plan to run autocad on the windows 7 platform through boot camp. preferably windows 7 home premium model (which costs less). because the program is processor intensive, i have 8 gb of ram. i want to run windows 7 in the 64 bit mode - i think... my question is: what is the speed of my imac? is it correct to use the 64 bit version of windows 7 or the 32 bit version? i'm kind of nervous getting started with autocad on my intel dual mac.
any assistance will be appreciated!

I hope this will be in time to save you from the hassle I've just been through. Two months ago, after running Autocad 2010 on Window XP on the most current Leopard OS X 5.8 and Bootcamp 2.x version with no problems, I decided it was time to upgrade to Windows 7. This turned out to be a huge mistake. To do it you have to upgrade to Snow Leopard OS 6.0 and Bootcamp 3.0. After two days of a clean install process including Snow Leopard, Bootcamp, and all my Windows applications, the machine started crashing (screen would go black with no warning, the machine would freeze, and a forced reboot was the only way to recover) at random when I was using Autocad. I will spare you most of the details, but two months later I had finally narrowed the cause down to a software conflict between Autocad and the Snow Leopard drivers (I believe it is the ATI video driver). It was a painful and time consuming process of elimination to come to this conclusion, including an overnight stress test of the hardware, a role back to Windows XP without also rolling back to the Leopard drivers, and finally a role back to Windows XP and to Leopard drivers, but it was an unavoidable conclusion once I found stability again once I had roled back to my original operating point. In the end senior level tech support personnel agreed that the evidence available appeared to point to a Snow Leopard driver that was conflicting with Autocad itself. In retrospect it was fool hardy of me to upgrade to Windows 7 before Apple engineers had time to work out the inevitable bugs in the Snow Leopard Bootcamp drivers. Don't make the same mistake.

Acrobat reader hangs opening pdf created with autocad

Hi all,
when I try to open a pdf file created with autocad, Acrobat Reader hangs and I can't do anything else then kill the process. Now I use Acrobat Reader 9.5.5. I've insatlled also Acrobat Reader XI, but the problem persists. It seems it is very slow to process the file. If file has few graphics after some minutes I can see it and zoom in, but if file is has a lot of graphics, acrobat hangs. Any suggestions?

I will recommend you to upgrade your Adobe reader to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on your Samsung Note 3 mobile phone and then try to view the pdf files. You can download it for free from the Google app. store or you can refer to this link Acrobat Reader DC Learn & Support.

How to create a hierarchy with postable notes

Please take e look at the following case:
In BPS we want to make a planning on groups of FI-GL-accounts. For the grouping of the GL-account we make use of the Financial Statement functionality in R/3. With a BC DataSource (0GL_ACCOUNT_T011_HIER) this Financial Statement is imported in BW as a hierarchy on InfoObject 0GL_ACCOUNT. As said, we do not want to make a planning on the GL-account but on the groups, i.e. the nodes of the hierarchy. We think in this case we need a BW hierarchy with postable nodes and make the planning on the inner nodes of the hierarchy.
So far so good, but when we execute the Manual planning the system responds with Hierarchy xxxx does not contain any postable nodes Anyone has a clue? Did we forget something?

We are currently exploring configuration options available to use a 'Vendor Hierarchy' for price determination during Purchase Order processing - R/3 46C
We also have a specific business requirement that requires our Vendor Hierarchy node prices be maintained in an Info Record (using a 'PB00' type condition type) rather than the 'LH01' and 'LH02' condition types used to maintain price conditions directly in the Vendor Hierarchy.
Does anyone know if it is possible to combine a Vendor Hierarchy with pricing that is sourced from Info Record rather than the standard 'LH01' and 'LH02' Vendor Hierarchy pricing conditions in the standard system?
