Modeling Question

I call a Web Service and depending on the value of the web service I want to either
1. Display an error message if the Web Service Value is '00'
2. display an HTML IView if the Web Service Value is 00 - 05
So
1. I have a connection from the Webservice to the Form View
2. I have a connection from the Webservice to the HTML IView
The problem I'm finding is that there is no allowable guard condition for the connection from the Webservice to the Form IView. Any ideas why? I guess I can just use the visibility option on the form?

Hi Kenneth,
guard conditions are available for input of data services not for transitions from output of dataservices. In this case you should use the visibility condition for displaying the error message resp. the html view (webpage).

Hi,
It is not possible to get any model question papers for SAP certification exams. In the syllabus mentioned you will have () symbol on most of the topics concentrate on the topics with two or three() you will get more questions on those sections. Thats all we can do.
regarding the exam
You can go back to any question whether you have answered or not and change the answers anytime during the test.

I'm trying to typecast a list of question Objects to Object StudyQuestionPage. Im doing this becase i want to set the list of question to its boolean validate property to validate the return of validate. Im getting a typecast error:

java.lang.ClassCastException: org.model.Question
at org.webapp.action.DemogAction.saveQuesOrder(DemogAction.java:1147).
Here is the code of what im doing:

You don't have a StudyQuestionPage you have an org.model.Question. If StudyQuestionPage extended org.model.Question then you could, but it doesn't so you can't.

Business Object Modeler Question

Hi Experts,
I'm new to CE and currently trying to figure out what can I do with it?
Assume that I'm planning to create an application to follow activities that our consultants doing.
For this, we're planning to use Local Portal Database to store datas.
When I checked, "Business Object Modeler" is a tool which helps to create business objects and generates tables behind and access services automatically.
Then generating a Web Service for this BO and then using the WS with VC and WD4J is a great asset for us.
But, my questions?
1. Is this a right approach for such scenario?
2. I've created a sample BO and generated WS and tried to use with VC. Create, Delete, Reand and Update Operations can be made available for WebService, but I'm unable to add FindAll or FindByMultiple Parameter operations to Web Service?
Any idea for Q1 and answer for Q2 will be appreciated.

Yes, You have to arite the code.Actually, Application services are the place where you will wrtie your business logic.
In th application service operations you have to call the business object operations.

answer to second question:
You can't change the code in the BO operations. What ever you want, you have to do it in the application servcies only.
Create an application service operation say:
operation(). Create a input/output data structures.
Exapmle: OperationResponce operation(OperationRequest).
Yuor lists add to the OperationRequest datatype. Similarly for OperationResponce also. In this case you don,t have any issues.Actually this is the standered for Web Services.

Data Modeler: Relational data model questions

1. Can a different notation be specified for relational data models' constraints? Specifically, I'd like crow's feet. BTW, the docs show crow's feet and parent pointer (with the arrowhead), but there's no such thing in the actual modeler.
2. Is there any way to manually route FK constraints lines?
3. When forward engineering from logical, is there any way to indicate the preferred name for keys and indexes (primary, unique, foreign)?
4. Mandatory/optional indicator on tables: what exactly does 'N' or 'A' stand for? I can understand 'N' meaning "Not optional", but 'A'? Wouldn't it be simpler to use '*' and 'o' like in the logical?
Man, do I ever miss Designer!

Here's one more question:
I've transformed several super/sub entities to relational, and some of the tables do not allow me to open Properties (on the table). I can use the navigator to open column properties, but cannot open table properties (neither from diagrammer nor from navigator). Some of the tables are two or three subtype levels deep, and I haven't figured out why some open and some don't.
