Modelling of 'clean down' orders in APO PP/DS

I am using APO PP/DS V7.
What is the best way of modelling 'clean down' orders in PP/DS?
Thanks for any advice...

Hi,
We can model clean down orders with campaign planning.

  • Times on Purchase Orders in APO or R/3

    Hi Gurus -
We have a production schedule for finished goods  and semi finished goods in APO.
The planned orders(production schedule) are then used in R/3 PP MRP for raw materials planning.
For some of the raw materials, the storage space in the factory is limited due to some constraints and hence multiple shipments have to be scheduled each day.  These could be for the same ingredient or different ingredients depending on the product mix. For example, first truck at 6 AM, second at 2 PM and the third at 10 PM.  The timing of these trucks has to be in sync with the APO production schedule.
Right now since MRP can only go the daily bucket level, the MRP run creates a single Purchase Requisition per day which is then converted into a Purchase Order. They also have to manually enter all the exact timing detail of the purchase orders before putting it up for all of the factory to see and also call the vendor and tell them about what times they have to be delivered. Is there any way to automate this?
The desired output is a Purchase Requisition with times on it( one at 6 AM, 2 PM and 10 PM) which are in sync with the planned orders in APO, which can then be converted into Purchase Orders
Can you please let me know what is the best way to do this?
I was thinking about actually sending these special raw materials into APO and plan them in APO using the PPDS heuristic, that way the purchase requisitions actually have the times on it. The vendors are not modeled in APO but my assumption is when these Purchase requisitions flow through into R/3, they would read the vendor list and pick up the vendor.
Is there any functionality with R/3 MRP to create Preqs by time? I have also asked this question in the PP forum since this question deals with both the systems.

    Hi Shailaja,
If this approval is done through ESS, the Time administrator needs to manually transfer the approved data to IT2001 Using RPTARQPOST program.
Also, check the scenario in 'PTARQ' transaction.
If this helps, pl do reward.

    HI Victor,
In the setup matrix you are suppose to maintain the dummy PPM detains aganist the setup groups.
means: maintain the following information in setup matrix and try
    Setup transactiopn type: I
    Predecssr: Setup group 1
    Sucessor: Setup group 2
    Setup time: blank
    Unit: Min

  • Automatic Clean-out orders

    Hi,
I am trying to find a way to automatically generate clean-out orders in a certain resource. The restriction I have is that after 7 times I use that specific resource I have to clean it.
Is there a way to insert the cleaning order or some other down-time so I can plan the cleaning?
I am considering the use of production campaign planning as an option to program those cleaning orders.
    thank you in advance

Hi Senthil thanks for your quick response,
The issue I am dealing with is that I don't know when I will have the downtime because my production orders don't have the same duration so if I schedule a downtime using /sapapo/res01 I will probably shorten the capacity of my resource. On the other way, if I cannot use the badi /SAPAPO/CRESDOWNTIME because once I start using my resource I cannot stop it.
So what I am thing is about getting a Heuristic or a certain optimization process where I can first plan my production orders and then insert the downtime where it corresponds after 7 times of using my resource.
    Thank you,
    Fernando

  • Delete Purchase orders in APO Database

We have some purchase orders in APO that we cannot delete from the database.
When we run WUF for a specific material we can see that we have two ATP orders for the material. When we check the orders in R/3 we can see that the orders are deleted purchase orders. In APO we would like to delete these orders properly as we need to delete the material.
We have tried to do this by running the following programs:
    /SAPAPO/SDORDER_DEL
    SAPAPO/DELETE_PP_ORDER
    /SAPAPO/RLCDELETE
We have also tried to run a comparison (TCODE: /SAPAPO/CCR) but no inconsistencies were found.
None of this has deleted the two purchase order from the data base.
Does anybody know how we can delete these orders?
    BR Trine

First of all you need to understand if these orders were:
    - created in APO
    - CIFed from R/3
APO: in this case only /SAPAPO/RLCDEL can help you. You can also try /SAPAPO/DELETE_PP_ORDER. I've never had any issues when deleting APO-orders. This shouldn't be a problem.
R/3: in this case you should be able to fix issues via /SAPAPO/CCR. When using this report remember that it compares APO and R/3 ONLY in case material/location exists in integration model. In case you checked integration model and it's OK and /SAPAPO/CCR still not able to find the problem then you can use /SAPAPO/DELETE_PP_ORDER. But when using it together with purchase order you need to slightly modify contents of internal variables.
    Report /SAPAPO/DELETE_PP_ORDER, rows 373 - 384
          IF sy-subrc = 0.
            lv_tabix = sy-tabix.
nur im Expertenmodus k³nnen umgesetzte Auftrôge gel³scht werden
            IF  lv_execu = gc_true
            AND (  TO lt_ordkey_no_del.
              DELETE lt_ordkey INDEX lv_tabix.
            ENDIF.
          ENDIF.
Here you should set lv_execu to TRUE ('X') and then it is able to delete purchase order. DO IT ONLY IF YOU UNDERSTAND THE CONSEQUENCES

Be careful when deleting files. A lot of people have trashed their system when deleting things. Place things in trash. Reboot & run your applications. Empty trash.
Go after large files that you have created & know what they are.  Do not delete small files that are in a folder you do not know what the folder is for. Anything that is less than a megabyte is a small file these days.

  • Conversion of Planned order in APO

    Hi there ,
I am SAP PP consultant & learning APO ...... I will ask many question that may sound very simple but please excuse me.
As per my undrestanding we can create planend order in APO & then transfer that to R/3 or other way we can do the conversion to production order also in APO & then tranfer that in R/3.......
What is the relative advantage & disadvantage of both the methods.....
    Please suggest me
    Regrads
    Kaushik

    Hi,
Just to clarify, the transfer of data from the execution system (SAP R3) to the planning system (APO) depends on the configuration and settings carried out in the two integrated systems.
When an APO planned order is converted into an R/3 production order, certain APO and R/3 data is merged. During this merge, certain information from the APO planned order is copied to the production order.
When the data has been merged, the production order has been saved and, if necessary, the R/3 planned order has been deleted, the R/3 order number is returned to APO (assuming there is an active CIF integration model for production orders). This ensures that orders in SAP R/3 and SAP APO are known by the same order number. An order that is created in SAP APO and published to SAP R/3 is assigned its own number in SAP R/3. The number that is assigned in SAP R/3 is always different to the existing order number in SAP APO. The R/3 order number is sent back to SAP APO and assigned to the original order.
This return process is carried out for planned orders and manufacturing orders.
If an order is transferred from SAP APO to SAP R/3 and is assigned its final order number there then the order is automatically sent back from SAP R/3 to SAP APO so that the order number assigned by SAP R/3 is also available in SAP APO. This process is called key completion.
In some cases it may also be necessary to return the order number to SAP APO if no new order number is assigned in SAP R/3, for example if components have been added in the production order.

  • Not able to delete orders in APO

    Dear Sir,
We are facing problem during deletion of certain Purchase-Orders and Production-Orders in APO . Before deleting the Orders , we had first deactivated the Integration Model of the reference Material in R3 .
During the Dletion in APO (using Tcode RRP4) , we are getting the error message as below...
No valid orders selected for deletion
    Message no. /SAPAPO/RRP246
We would like to mention that Pp_Firmed is appearing as Ticked against these  reference Orders .
We request SAP experts to kindly guide us as what steps need to be followed for deleting these Orders in APO .
    With Thanks and Regards

    Hi,
You can follow these steps to delete any inconsistent orders or you can use /SAPAPO/DELETE_PP_ORDER
    1. Goto /SAPAPO/RRP3 for the product and loc combinations.
    2. Enter gt_io in the area where you are entering tcode.
    3. Find out the internal order no and copy this internal number.
    4.Go to SA38 or se38.
    5.Enter the program /SAPAPO/OM_DELETE_INCON_ORDERS.
    6. enter the internal order number and planning version.
7.select the check box delete order object.
    8.execute.
Now these orders should be deleted.

  • Integration of Sales Orders in APO

    Hello,
I am having difficulties getting Sales Orders in APO. My materials use R/3 Strategy 40 which means that my forecast is reduced/consumed by my sales orders: In my tests I only managed to get the sales orders in APO if I use the ATP setting  " individual customer requirement" in the R/3 material master. Is this a mandatory master data setting in R/3 or shoud I be able to get the Sales orders in APO even when using the indicator "Daily / collective requirement" in R/3 ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
for planning with APO it is mandatory to use individual customer requirements. APO is used for detailed planning, so it will only consider individual requirements; if you use collective requirements they are filtered out already in R/3 and are not even sent to APO.

    Sebastian

  • Read the characteristics of a planned order in APO

how can we read the characteristics of a planned order in APO.What Function Module can be used for this?
how can we manually schedule the order activities based on the characteristics. Can we use the function module

    Hi,
if there are any orders in your system with characteristics (in planning version 000) then this report will find them:

  • Requirement node of Purchase Order in APO

    Hi all,
    I am testing a scenario.
Locations A(source) and B(target) are in same APO system but different R/3 systems.
I create a Purchase Req for a material on location B in APO. I can see the requirement and receipt nodes in Purchase requisition. Then, I trigger the conversion of PR to PO in APO or R/3. After conversion, the demand associated with the PO created does not appear on source location, it only appears on target location. is this normal? I searched OSS messages but I could not find a relevant one.
I created the corresponding entries in sapapo/locali transaction. I assigned source plant to vendor number and target plant to customer number.
I would appreciate if you can help.
    Thanks,
    Jenny

    Hi,
I was in one of support project where this scenaio was working.
Here if you want to transfer demand at source location in ECC/R/3 when stock transfer requisition is created you can transfer the same as PIR by running backround job to transfer demand.
When you convert stock transfer requisition to purchase order in APO Purchase order gets transfered at receiving location only through APO. This Purchase order in ECC receiving location can trigger automatic sales order creation at supplying location through ALE/IDOC. This in turn gets transfered to APO. In APO as such there is no link between Purchase order at receiving location and sales order in supplying location. This link is there in  ECC.
For automatic creation of sales order currosponding to purchase order certain settings are required to be done in ECC side. APO doesnot play any role in this.
For detail configuration setting you can check documentation in this link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60/helpdata/en/b3/d20c3c8cd2593ce10000000a114084/frameset.htm.
    Hope this helps.

  • The use of clean-out orders

    Dear SDN
Is it possible to have clean-out orders created automatically, without using campaign management?
We do not use campaign management functionality, and the production runs clean-out orders between process orders. We would like to have system support to create them. For example by using the setup matrix and for each of the transitions maintain weather or not they have a clan-out order and what product it produces (our clean-out orders actually produces a product that we stock and re-use in production).
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi venkatesh,
There was once a transaction called SPADE , which existed in SAP 4.6C, however it doesn't seem to exist right now and I am not sure if there is a new transaction available anymore.
The SPADE transaction was built for creating CRT or Conflict Resolution Transports, check help.sap.com for more details.
When you created a Conflict Resolution Transport its .PAT and .ATT files used to exist in EPS/out directory.
SAP Partners could create their own Add-Ons (their own products that are built around the SAP Server) and provide CRTs to address any conflicts between support packages.
    Hope that helps.
    Regards,
    Siddhesh

  • Clean out order is getting overloaded on the resource after optimization

    Hello Folks,
I am using campaign optimization and after the campaign optimization is achieved by the optimizer the clean out order will be introduced. The clean out is overlapping with the actual operation on the resource.
The resources used are finite resources and alert is getting generated stating that the resource is overloaded.
The clean out order is expected to be sequenced correctly after the actual operation.
Kindly let me know if anybody has faced this issue and have a solution for it.
Let me know if you need any other details.
    Best Regards.
    Roopesh

    Hello Folks,
    This issue is solved.
Maintain the production time of the clean out order as the setup transition time  among the same group in set up matrix, so basically after the number of charges defined in the campaign profile the optimizer will consider the time mentioned in the matrix and will create the space to fit the clean out order.

  • Unable to see planned order in APO

    Dear Experts,
I'm creating a Project manufacturing order in ERP. After that I do MRP run in SCM7.0. When I check in Product View (transaction /SAPAPO/RRP3), I do not see any planned order, though I can see orders in ERP (Tcode-md04).
I guess transfer of network to APO is not happening.
Same problem arises when I schedule a dummy project in ERP and after I do MRP run in SCM7.0, I do not see any planned order in planning board.
The MRP run in SCM7.0 shows no error and no warnings and everything appear in green.
I was able to see planned orders in APO before there was system upgrade from SCM 4.2 to SCM 7.0.
Please provide some clue to solve this problem.
    Regards,
    Jyoti

    Hi Jyoti,
There will be an "Iterate" button on the left hand corner in the result display of CCR.  Please click on this button so that these errors will get iterated and goes to the respective distinations.  After this, you go to smq1 and smq2 trasnaction codes of R/3 and clear all the queues.  Similarly you clear the queues in smq1 and smq2 transaction codes of APO.  Afterwards, check whether you are able to see the planned order.
    Please confirm
