  • Nokia 6030 connected with CA-45 Nokia PC Suite nee...

    Hello every one,
    I have connected my nokia 6030 with my laptop using CA-45 cable after installing Nokia PC suite 6.81 in my laptop.
    But I found that there is no driver available for CA-45 cable. The only way so far I know to connect the Nokia 6030 with a PC is CA-45. Can I get driver or Nokia PC suite suitable for me.
    Please give me reply if you have any.
    Thanking you.

    Salut rakeshsahua,
    Just go to:
    http://europe.nokia.com/get-support-and-software/download-software/nokia-pc-suites/compatibility-and...#
    Choose your phone model and then download. You don't need to worry about drivers, when you make the connection between the PC and the phone (which you are prompted to do the first time you run PC Suite) and it installs the drivers that it needs automatically.

  • Cannot install modem drivers on E71

    hi!
    PHONE: E71, OS: Vista
    PC SUITE installs and connects the phone perfectly through cable and through bluetooth
    PROBLEM:
    I am trying to connect to the internet through the modem of my E71, but its not working.
    I think that the modem drivers are not there or are broken, because when I connect the phone to the laptop (dell), BOTH through usb cable or bluetooth, Vista sees a modem and starts searching for drivers for it, and then fails: (the parameter is incorrect).
    I read that these drivers come with nokia pc suite, so I tried with different versions, but same result - paremeter is incorrect. Tried installing the drivers manually from the nokia support site - Vista does not see the drivers in the folder i put them.
    Can anyone tell me how to install the drivers properly so I can link to internet? re-installing PC Suite and installing drivers manually does NOT work!
    I used 7 nokias for the last 9 years, but this is the first one I want to break in someone's head up there in Finland
    suggestions? thanks!

    Is your Vista 64-bit? I think there's no Vista x64 driver for E71 modem yet.

    I have only ever contacted nokia help on 2 occassions and both times I have felt fobbed off. Now why cant you answer if the phone is compatable to Trutones, and what does this SUBSCRIBE TO PACKET DATA FIRST mean. I am getting nowhere with this and it is driving me to distraction, o2 have been of little help and now I feel let down by you, surely it cant be that difficult a question. Can it?????

    First step of diagnostics would be to double check that your cable is definitely the one which is for use with the 6030 - I just had a look at the Accessories section of Nokia's website, and it doesn't list ANY data cable as being compatible with the 6030. I haven't come across the MobiBrowser software but I suspect this isn't written by Nokia.
    Nokia's software may expect connectivity via different pins etc. that the CA-45 may not be using.
    I would contact the Nokia office in your area for confirmation on cable type. You can find their details here :

  • PIM access on Nokia 6030

    I am trying to develop an application that can access PIM database and file database on Nokia 6030. To run the application, I need App.access should be enabled to read and write permission. Here is what i see...
    Game & Apps>myApplication>options>App.access>Phone access
    "Read user data" --> set to "Not allowed"
    "Read and edit data" --> set to "Not allowed"
    Has anyone tried to develop applications for this particular model to access PIM or file database? If Yes, how did you enable the access?
    Here is snip of the code:-
    //Open default contact list
    PIM pim = PIM.getInstance();
    ContactList clist = null;;
    try
    clist = (ContactList) pim.openPIMList(PIM.CONTACT_LIST, PIM.READ_WRITE);
    } catch(Exception e)
    message = "error opening list;"+e.getMessage();
    if (clist == null)
    message = "null contact list";
    HelloScreen helloScreen = new HelloScreen(this, message);
    Display.getDisplay(this).setCurrent(helloScreen);
    return;
    I always get an error "null contact list". I should have got SecurityException if access is not unabled. but I don't. Anyone please helpme if this works on Nokia 6030. Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Nokia 6030 and System.currentTimeMillis

    Hi
    I'm developing my game for J2ME phones. It works well on a lot of devices. Today I got Nokia 6030 (S40 2nd Edition) and tested my game on this phone. It very strange! Timer works veeeery fast. I made small debug on screen. I made drawString System.currentTimeMillis() and I saw that time goes very fast. On all phones System.currentTimeMillis() increases 1000 per second. On 6030 System.currentTimeMillis() increases 1000000 (or more) per second. Why?!?! On emulator of Nokia 6030 it works well (1000 per second). It very strange. I tested this program on a lot of devices and everywhere it worked well.
    Help me, please...

    could be a bug, someone accidentally putting tree zero to much in their code...

    How can i sync or backup my nokia 6030 to email?

    iTunes does not store contacts.  It merely serves as a conduit to synchronize contacts between your computer and your phone.

  • All Drivers are working fine EXCEPT Audio and Modem drivers on my G430

    I have a lenovo 3000 G430 4152C2Q that is 1 month old.It came with Vista home but I uninstalled it and installed Windows XP SP2.I downloaded all drivers from Lenovo's official site for my Laptop's type and installed them. • Nokia 6030 Broken/Cracked Screen

    I have a Nokia 6030 with a defective screen, I have important contact numbers stored on the phone and want to transfer these to the SIM. Nokia want to charge me £50 for it so thats not an option. Can anyone provide/link me a step by step guide for doing so?Please. And no, I currently dont know anyone else with a 6030.
    Cheers

    try this
    go to menu
    open contact
    press options
    scroll to mark/unmark-.click on that-mark all
    you will see a tick against each contact
    again press options
    scroll to copy-click on that-to sim memory(directory)
    it will be done
    you can check whether it copied by again going to contact and pressing option and see if there is sim contact-sim directory (all the number in your sim)
    see if it helps you
    note one thing that mostly sim cant store many number..like my sim can support only 150 numbers in it memory

  • To view video clips on Nokia 6030 cellphone

    I have tried to download different formats of video clips through my cable for Nokia 6030.  However, everytime I tried to view the video clip, it prompts formats not supported.
    Cud anyone suggest the formats that will enable me to view video clips on my Nokia 6030.
    Thanks

    Adobe Flash Player Software is actually a plug-in and not an actual "player" or "application."  With this plug-in you will be able to view flash videos on Quicktime (with help from Perian) and VLC.  I believe Flip4Mac also.
    After the installation, make sure you repair permissions and restart your computer prior to usage.

  • Opening up a Nokia 6030

    I have a nearly new Nokia 6030 that I'm hoping to sell, but somehow some dirt has managed to get under the screen. Is there anyway I can open it up and clear it as it looks a bit like a scratch at the moment. Is it possible to dismantle it using a particular screwdriver without damaging the case or is it something I should really leave to the Nokia experts- and if so, how much will this cost just for them to clean it? Thanks for the help

    I agree with Mark - you're likely to void any warranties on the phone, so it's not worth the risk... just take it to your nearest Nokia Service Centre and they'll do it for you

  • Nokia 6030 issues

    Hi, I've had a Nokia 6030 for a year or so, no problems whatsoever until earlier today. I turened the phone on and locked the keys so I don't accidentally hit any pockets while in my phone.
    Weeeeeeeell...
    I went to use the phone and discovered that none of the buttons on the keypad work at all. Currently, the only button on the entire phone that works is the on/off button. Also, I just noticed this, but when I turn on the phone and it makes the noise, I can still push a button to silence it. But once the phone is in display mode, zero buttons work.
    And when I would turn the phone on, there have been three occurences that would happen.
    A) It would turn on and act normally. It would bring me to the display page with the time and date. But I can't use any of the buttons.
    B) It went to the set time/date screen. In the beginning, I'd turn the phone off, and I would go to option A or C and the time would be proper, but eventually it reached the point where it wouldn't let me proceed even if I turned the phone off. But for god only knows what reason, the phone eventually let me use the "confirm" button if I pressed down with a lot more effort than I liked. And then the button ceased to work. Also, at one point the confirm button was working while in Option A but that lasted a good minute, if that.
    C) This can happen either upon turning the phone on or once the phone is on. I don't touch any keys, and the phone dials the number 1. The sound the phone makes sounds like the key is being held down. And for some reason, the number 1 instantly brings the phone to dial voicemail. Right now, I don't have service, so once the phone gives up it says "No network service" and proceeds back to the "Dial Screen" with the number 1 still there, this time without the noise. Sidenote, the first time this happened, the phone proceeded to add numerous number 1s. I thought that maybe my phone needed to report something to me via voicemail, but that didn't work out too well either.
    I've removed the front display and tried to press the buttons directly, but nothing happened. I tried to remove the battery, nothing happened. I tried to see what would happen if I put in the same battery but from a different phone, nothing happened.
    I honestly have no idea what's going on. This just appeared out of the blue. I left it sitting on my bookshelf after turning it on and locking, and next thing I know, the phone's crazy.
    I really hope someone out there has had a similar experience with this and can help me out. Because this is just silly.

    I have the exact same problem. Nokia 6030 phone and a Mybat NK6030RPDCB02 cable. Mine came with a driver disk (look between the cardboard for a mini-disk). I install the driver and it shows up in Device Manager of XP SP2 as 'Prolific USB-toSerial Comm Port (Com4). When I plug the phone into the USB cable and try to read it from MY Computer it shows up as a 'Removable Disk'. When I browse it says 'Insert a disk into Drive X'.
