Moderators PLEASE - why did you delete Chris Aikin's post

It may have been a little Apple unfriendly but Apple's new found unfriendliness towards their customers super seeds what Aikin wrote in his post
One guy in that post said that this forum is a user to user forum. But he must have been very wrong. Cuz every time we user start to dig where its deep YOU moderators come in and delete the posts. All you want here on this forum is people asking how to repair their disk permissions.
Since this Leopard Downgrade emerged there are 100 of thousands of people just about ready to blow....
Your job as a moderator is to VERIFY the contents of the posts - and the post you've just deleted was NOT against forum policy. If someone posts a reply that is against the forum - then for god sake have the intelligence to JUST delete the reply and NOt the whole post....

I'm going to take a stab, and explain to you why something like this may happen. I've been on this board long enough to know that:
1. If there is any smell of ranting. Calling it a "downgrade" alone seems like a rant.
2. If there is any smell of unsubstantiated criticism.
3. If there is any smell of demeaning towards others or towards Apple.
4. If there is any indication that a thread is proceeding nowhere towards a solution and people are venting feelings.
Then a thread or a post can be deleted. They may not be as able to delete a single post versus a thread as easily. That puts a bit of an onus on us the user to stay clear of writing posts that could trigger an unhappy response by someone who had problems. It is better to start a thread which asks questions about why a technical issue might happen and how to solve it, and avoid any blame. Subject line should be asking that question.
Don't hijack another thread where someone is looking for a solution, saying you have that problem too. That tends to create an atmosphere of ill-will.
Point people to where to Post a New Topic (at some forum versus a category level) that are obviously new with only one post. If they have a couple posts, check their post history to see if they managed to post a new topic elsewhere, and say to them they should look there for a response.
I'm not a moderator, nor do I question their policy. Among the Terms of Use is that we can't question, nor can we speculate.
It isn't a "downgrade" for everyone. There are some people, like myself who have successfully installed Leopard.
Now was there a technical issue you needed resolving with either your installed software, or your hardware?

I have to say that this is a bit of a kick in the teeth. We spend all this money on Apple products, expecting software updates to add the he functionality of these devises - not to have really cool functions taken away... Why would you take this away? If it is a performance issue at least give people the option to turn it on or off.
Bring it back please in 5.0.1... Oh and fix all the bugs that had me deleting apple apps like 'find my phone' and reinstalling them from the app store...Apple never included multitouch gestures in a consumer release of iOS before 5. You had to use developer tools to get them. So, from their standpoint, they never gave it to you in the first place. But, at any rate, you're not addressing Apple here. Why did you get rid of the track option in ALL Revel apps?
I am a subscribed Revel user that was once happy with what Revel offered but NOT anymore. I organize my photos inside albums by events. Why? Because that is the ONLY organization available from Revel without creating thousands of albums. So why did you COMPLETELY get rid of viewing albums by track? I can't see my tracks, or events, in albums on iOS or on the Mac (because of the new update) and definitely not on the web. What's up? When will this be coming back? Every update that has come on Revel has been a HUGE disappoint, lets not even mention the failing to update fiasco. I am ready to switch applications and void ALL of the work I have done putting ALL my photos into Revel. Help me out here please. Somebody please get back to me and let me know what to expect or change or if I do need to be looking somewhere else for better more reliable photo storage.
What I am actually refering to is the "track" view inside of the albums. Track view exists in the "collection" option or the file drawer option on all Apple apps, iPad, iPhone, and the Mac, but the track option that once existed when looking at individual albums is no longer there on ANY device.

Some websites need Western ISO 8859-1 character set to run properly and you have taken it away in favour of "other(including Western)", now the site does not work properly. Why did you take it out and can you please put it back.
ISO-8859-1 and Windows-1252 should be equivalent. Can you provide an example of a page that doesn't display properly?
If you have to manually select a character encoding to view the page correctly, then the site is broken and you should notify its owner that it needs be fixed. Websites specify the character encoding in one of two ways:

Why did you remove The option to disable Java scripts?
Everyone knows malware always comes through java scripts. So why did you remove the option to turn it off ? Why the false saftey excuse? (duckspeak) This makes no sense. Alot of people also get errors and have slower speed with some pages so they disable it. I understand there is plugins available to block scripts but they never work 100%. Im also not sure how you are a computer expert and dont even know the difference between Java and Javascript. Since Childhood I was complete sports person. I represent U-15, U-17,U21 for Rajasthan. I splurged my whole teenage all in Cricket. In My education I had one year Gap only because of we had to visit Sri lanka for couple of matches against Gale Sports Club (Formerly known as President Academy).We were lost with huge margin. I was scattered and complete disappointed, however right after I got selected in National Squad (only for training camp).But still meanwhile I managed myself to get admission into Engineering (Yes on payment seat ). I was below average student in subjects of science but at the same time I was crazy about Maths (Only because I used-to to count Runs and Required Rate all the time ).
So the year from "99 to "03 was the key for my career (with aspect of sports and education wise both).In First Year of Engineering I through without any Compartment. But In Second Year I got stuck in 2 Subjects But I was least bother about this as my sports career had not been affected. Yes Due to sports my Education career had always been penetrating.Guys believe me in my four year of Engineering life I only wrote one Program from myself which was Swapping the values of A and B without using third variable, that was in C++
However,Finally by hook or crook I managed my self in 03 in Final Year(Yes Final Semester too, No compartment Had Been carry forward ) In my through Life, I only took myself away from Cricket in Final Semester because now I wanted to Through in my Education. Only because my instincts and somebody says from inside I spend 3 and half year with cricket and Education so I must through when my Ship was almost on the shore.
Finally I got a chance to work in company where SAP ECC was about to Implement. I donu2019t know from where I got inspiration and courage to work rather than sport but yes I preferred to work there. Since now Iu2019m in SAP and I left a Cricket way back. But yes still I used-to manage to play over the week-ends, only when time allows.
And now Iu2019m the only SAP person in my project that has handling FI-CO and ABAP stuff, yes sometimes Basis too

After Effects CC 2014 why did you remove "middle click pan"

Why did you have to change the layout of Firefox?
I would like to know why you have gone and changed the layout of Firefox?
I am still on Fx 3.6.18 because quite frankly 5.0.1 looks horrible.
Why did you have to change everything and move things around. Why couldn't you have given us the same layout as 3.6.18 but with these new upgrades.
I will never download Fx5. 3.6 was perfect.

But you can't submit feedback there with an older version of Firefox, currently you need Firefox 5.0 or higher.
The decision to change the GUI was made by Mozilla collectively, not by a small group of developers or by one person. If you put your efforts toward customizing Firefox to suit your tastes, it would be a lot more productive than trying to find out who to blame and where to complain about the changes made to Firefox. Geez dude, it ain't the end of the world. It's only a web browser, which can be easily modified to make it look like you thing it should look. -
Why did you change the event calendar?
I updated my phone and now I can only have one alert on my calendar for an event. I was putting in an event and having an alert one day before and then one hour before. Why did you change it?
Just FYI, "we" didn't change anything. You're not communicating with Apple when you post here, and you will not get a response from them. We're all just fellow users.

Apple why did you take the Sites folder with my website in it? Nobody helps!
Since upgrading to Mavericks I lost my local website folder that used to be in the Sites folder!

I have no clue why this is or why I am getting this error in Mavericks. All I have is a local website folder in the Sites folder using Dreamweaver CS4 to update my files, working perfect on my other drive running 10.6.8 . Why I cant update and get the error above is the reason I am posting here. (and several other spots)

Why have you deleted all the common search engine in the search engine box. It appears that all you want to do is irritate your public!
They have not been deleted, as they are not present in your computer it indicates there is a problem with your system. Try removing the search.sqlite file as shown in the "Unable to search" section of this link - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_search_or_add_new_engines
That file contains details about the installed search engines, deleting the file will force Firefox to rebuild the list. -
When I opened my Firefox browser this morning, I was "kidnapped' and taken away from my home page and forced to deal with your introductory pages about the "new Firefox." Why did you do this? I already have a mother, so I don't need another one. If it happens again I'll mostly change away from Firefox.

Can't find iPhoto pictures anywhere else on computer
Whenever I upload pictures from my camera to iPhoto I can't find them anywhere else but iPhoto. Example: When I am blogging or trying to upload pictures on the internet they won't show up in the iPhoto file for sometimes a few days, but now it's been
