Modern Warfare 2 Midnight Release Question.

Alright so im planning to hit the Midnight Release of modern warfare 2.
I get off work at 12:00 am exactly and it takes me 30 minutes to get to the best buy.
How late will best buy be open for this? and will they have enough copies if im not able to make it?
If im not able to make it for the midnight release will they have copiers later on in the day?
I have not preordered, will that affect anything at all?

they usually stay open for an hour for midnight release you dont have to have a preorder to get a game...they should have plenty of extra copies tonight and tomorrow

Halo 4 L.E. Console midnight release question

I know it might vary from store to store but I was just wondering if anyone knows if I'd be able to pick up my pre-ordered Limited Edition Halo 4 Console at midnight or if that would have to wait until normal business hours. I was under the impression that the standard version of the game is the only version you can get at the midnight release.

Midnight release for Modern Warfare 3?

Got this flyer from my local BB regarding their midnight release for call of duty modern warfare 3 & it says
"all customers receive AT LEAST a $5 giftcard with every COD:MW3 purchase OR a $20 off w/approval of our Reward Zone Credit Card"
1-Does this mean there's a way to get more than the $5 giftcard for a MW3 purchase?
2-Is this the same offer that's avail. for all the stores doing the midnight release for MW3?

Hello enuf,
If your local store is giving away a $5 gift card with Modern Warfare 3, that would be an individual store promotion. We do not have an offer like that in place for other stores. It is true about getting $20 off with the approval of a Reward Zone credit card, but I have not heard of the $5 gift card.

Modern Warfare 2 Midnight Release List

Will there be any changes or additions to the midnight release list? Because I have had MW2 Pre-ordered for a few months and the store I pre-ordered it from was not on the list unfortunately.

I believe it is up to the individual store if they want to do a midnight release. Most stores I am sure by this point in time have decided to either have one or not. I would not expect to see too many changes to that list. Best thing to do is check in store as I know our BB here was not going to do one and now is.

I was wondering that if I preordered the Modern Warfare Limited Edition Xbox 360 online and selected in store pick up, will I be able to pick the console up at midnight on November 10th.

Midnight releases for fall 2009

Any word on midnight releases for any of the games coming out in the next few months? I guess I'm asking specifically about Modern Warfare 2. I would love to get this at BB but will probably have to go to game'stop' if BB isn't doing a midnight release. I already checked the webpage below and nothing is currently listed. Thanks!

Midnight Release Website Problem

While it's not a major issue as to if I purchase from BB or a particular store I'm very curious if the midnight release checking site is broken or if it's lack of information that I'm missing.
I'm trying to use this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/misc/best-buy-gaming-events/pcmcat183100050001.c?id=pcmcat183100050001&t... link provided by the Press Release but when you search a local store it just brings you to the local store of your choosing and doesn't specifically state yes or no. Is there supposed to be a banner that says if they are doing an event or is the whole search part broken from any proper midnight lauch information?
This wouldn't be a major issue if the store actually had some form of speedy phone service. I spent 20 minutes on hold for supposedly two customers on the line ahead of me and had no indication of getting closer to the store employee. My local store has combined the customer service desk and front registers so essentially the former dedicated customer service rep is now a normal cashier most of the day and I'm curious if this will make all attempts at good customer service and or quick phone answers for a quick simple question. During the whole current GCU promo in which customer service was trying to find out the proper way of ringing up the promo for me had EVERY customer in the store stareing at her like she was satan because she was the 2nd cashier and was doing a good job trying to assist me but I could imagine some CS feeling pressured by the various eyes and maybe provide lower customer service to move the line along. Also, with the holidays coming I can imagine the annoyance of dealing with the holiday lines grabbing my pre-order that I'm there for to play at release and not saving it for a Christmas gift.

Believe it or not, but the listings on this page are appearing as intended. When searching for locations in your area, only stores that have confirmed midnight opening events should appear in the drop-down menu that appears. Just keep in mind that store exclusions are subject to change without notice and that you should always contact your local store for full details before attending any midnight opening event.

Store Openings on West Coast for Midnight Release Events?

Hello,
Was last week's 9PM PST release for COD:AW an anomaly or is BB now doing midnight release based on 9PM PST/12PM EST schedule?
Basically I want to know if I'll be able to go get my pre-order of Assassins Creed Unity at my store in Culver City (which isn't participating in the midnight launch) since BB closes at 10PM PST or if I won't be able to get it until 11/11.

Kst8no1 is correct here: last week's staggered midnight opening events were specific to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare due to its Day Zero promotion. There's always a possibility other developers may choose to follow suit the future though, so the best advice we can give would be to keep an eye on our midnight opening announcements on BestBuy.com for updates.

Would the Willow Grove PA store know by now if they are having a midnight release for Mass Effect 3 and is there any place online I can get updates on that?

Normally, we have all the midnight release information on the product page on Bestbuy.com. Your best bet would be to head to the store as early as you can to pick up your copy.

Modern Warfare Black Ops for Imac?

Hey Everyone
It is great that steam is now available for Imac ^^ I am diffently downloading me games for that, but does anyone know if the release of Modern WarFare Black Ops in Novemeber will be available for Imac??? I really really hope so!

I’m really looking forward to Black Ops 3; I thoroughly enjoyed the second one, especially the multiplayer aspects of the game. I can understand why you might want the physical version of the game versus the digital version and how having redeemed the beta code might impact an exchange.
Per our Return & Exchange Promise here, digital downloads are not returnable. However, since you have not yet received the download and you’ve simply pre-ordered it, the store should be able to exchange the pre-order to the physical version of the game if you would like. Please keep in mind that there is not a deluxe edition available anymore for the physical copy of the game, only the regular versions here.

Modern warfare 2 Call of Duty

I was wondering if any one knows if Call Of Duty Modern Warfare works for macs? If it doesnt how can I make it work? Or when are they going to make it compatible for mac software? Hopefully you all can help answer these questions I have been tryin to find the answers and I cant seem to locate them?

I've finished playing Modern Warfare 2. Excellent game, albeit short.
In order to play it you will need to boot camp a Windows OS into your Mac.
I personally recommend you to bootcamp Windows XP 32bit (gives you an extra 5-6 frames per second if you are picky, all in the highest settings in my mid-2009 15" Macbook Pro)
Once you have successfully installed Windows with bootcamp, simply install MW2 in windows, and play

Midnight opening question

If a store is open for a midnight release on a few games and one of the games coming out on that day is not one of the three listed, would I still be able to pick it up at midnight with the others?
WWE 2K15 isn't on the midnight releases, but say if I want to get that with Dragon Age at midnight, would I be able to do so?

Good question! Many of our stores will allow customers to purchase other titles released the same day during our midnight opening events, but this varies by location. The best advice we can give would be to contact your preferred location and ask an on-site rep for details.
