Modification without assistance

HI ..when we have done upgrade..in the upgraded version i am able to see some objects under modification with out assistance when i exevute the SPAU tcode..
there are three objects that are getting listed under modification without assistance.
They are nothing but View cluster maintenance... when i saw the tcode and the program name int he status bar..it showed SOBJ as the tocode and program as SAPMTOBJ,
now i was comparing the two programs SAPMTOBN in both versios but it says no difference.......
but ia m fidning the difference in the number of entries,,in the inital screen of SOBJ .when i got to tcode SOBJ and say display ther ae only 4300 entries in older version where as in newer version there are arounf 8400 entries..
now what is hat i have to do.........some one please advise me on this..

The SOBJ entries generally relate to how view maintenance is performed - this has mainly to do with items in the SPRO customising tree. The number of entries has changed because there is a lot more in SPRO in the newer version. The entry/entries in SPAU for SOBJ in your system most likely relate to a view maintenance that has been changed - this is generally done as a result of instructions supplied in SAP notes.
An example in FI is settings for maintenance of FSV (Financial Statement Versions). By default these are maintained in the DEV environment and transported to test and production. However there are SAP notes to change the relevant SOBJ settings to "Current Settings" so that the FSV can be maintained directly in Production. There are similar notes for changes relation to opening / closing financial periods.
For your SPAU entries, if it is not possible to identify what was changed and why it was changed, the safest option is to revert to SAP standard. If this causes an issue with maintenance of some view then it is a simple matter of finding the relevant SAP note and applying the changes again.

Installing OWB runtime and targets without assistant?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to install all the repositories (Design repo, runtime repo) and the target schemas with a script, rather than using the assistants.
We would like to automate the total installation of our DW solution as much as possible. Therefore, we are trying to also install the design repository, the runtime repository and the five targets using a script. No luck till now... The import of mdl and deploying of objects, mappings and flows using OMB scripting works fine... ;)
Any suggestions?

What you need, is runtime on each instance that contains target locations.
For the runtime environment, you need to download and install the server-side (on the HP-UX box) software.
To avoid this, you might be able to use synonyms and db-links on your WIN XP box.

Export to excel without assistant?

I built a measurement-system that reads data from RS232 and exports it to an excel-file. That all works with an autosequenz, but I want to automate the export, so that I do not have to click on "Finish"-button.
Is that possible?
(The filename is generated automatically in my autosequenze)

A second modification without approval loses the first one. (9.0.2)

Hi,
we are using "Manage with Approval" with Portal 9.0.2.
I change the text and say o. k. Before the approver sees the notificaction portlet, I change the text again.
Unfortunately I do not see all my changes of the first time.
When I am done I issue o. k. again.
Then the approver sees her notification portlet with both entries.
Unfortunately she does not see the time and and approves both of them, publishing the older one.
How can I recall the first change? How can I even see the first change?
If the approver eventually denied both changes, how am I supposed to see any changes I did?
What did I do wrong? How should I use the approval process correctly?

We did not find anything about a double change in the given help document.
But we thought about check in/check out and tried it out.
a) We have to grant too many rights to the editor. In addition to "Manage With Approval" and the new "Check out" he would be able to move and delete the item. We do not want her to do this.
b) The user with "Manage With approval" still sees the edit icon on her screen, though meanwhile some other user checked our item out. She uploads another file and the approver approves it. This is probably a bad configuration or a bug ...
Does anybody find an answer to a), please?

Modifications With the Modification Assistant
If the object has not been adjusted in transaction SPAU, a traffic light appears in front of the object. In the Modification Browser these objects are highlighted. When using Reset to original the active version on the database is confirmed as the new original version. The object remains unchanged. Only the modification data is deleted. When using Modification adjustment the version imported in the last upgrade or Support Package is saved in the modification logs as original. In addition, there are the modifications from the adjustment. The Modification Browser (transaction SE95) gives an overview of these modifications.
If the object has been adjusted, in SPAU either a green checkmark or a stop sign appears in front of the object. If an adjusted object is reset to original, the active version is replaced by the original version saved in the modification logs. The modifications made using the Modification Assistant are lost when you Reset to original.
You can use Reset to original in the category With Modification Assistant also for objects that are contained in note corrections.
Already adjusted data elements cannot be reset to the original version. Edit the data element in the ABAP Dictionary to restore the desired status. You can make use of the version administration to do this.
Modifications Without Modification Assistant, Translations, Migration Objects
If the object appears in the tree in one of the categories Without Modification Assistant, Translations or Migration Objects, always the active version becomes the original version when you use Reset to original. The modification log is deleted, independent of whether the object has been adjusted or not. The object itself remains unchanged. If the object has been adjusted, the user gets a warning message. Unlike with objects supported by the Modification Assistant, the original version no longer exists. The modified active version is confirmed as original version.

HT1212 restoring an iphone tht has been disabled without itunes

How do i restore an iphone that has been disabled due to too many passcode attempts. Phone never synced to itunes. Already tried restoring but it said an unknown error occurred and stopped. What can i do to get it working again?

Need Assistance with Download iOS 6 to an iPhone 4. Error 9006

I am experiencing difficulty with downloading ios 6 software onto my iPhone 4. I keep getting error message that due to an unknown error "9006", the software was not downloaded to my iPhone. I have tried downloading via iTunes (I have latest version 10.7) and via software update on the iPhone, but have been unsuccessful so far. I have followed suggestions on the iPhone trouble shooting assistant. Nothing has worked for me. Any suggestions?

we have raised one po against the butterfly valve manufacturer(vendor).according to PO they have manaufactured and made it ready.but before delivery of valves,we have noticed that some modifications to be done in this design of valves.so for that they are asking extra cost for doing modification in the valve.so for this which order we have to make either PO or service order.our project dept has raise one PR with short text modification without mentioning material code.

You can do it in following ways;
1. Go to same PO (in ME22N), there add a 2nd line item w.r.t. PR (there will be a column of entering PR No, just enter the PR No there and press enter, as a result it will copy all the details from PR to PO)
Here use Account Assignment Category and Account Assignment Object similar to the 1st line item of PO (i.e. of Butterfly valve), so that Cost of Servicing will get loaded on the Account Assignment Object of Butterfly valve during GR in MIGO.
2. Otherwise, create a new PO for Service Cost w.r.t. PR in ME21N and use same Account Assignment Category and Account Assignment Object of Butterfly Valve as in case of first PO.
MIGO - GR w.r.t. PO and Cost of Servicing will get loaded on the Account Assignment Object of Butterfly valve.
MIRO - LIV for the Cost of Servicing of Butterfly valve

SM31 table modification

Hello,
We manually update a record via SM31 to table V_T549Q as part of our month-end process. Since we upgraded to ECC6 from 4.6C, the production system must be "opened" by the Basis team so the table can be modified now. I'm assuming some configuration was done to allow the modifications without opening up the system for changes in our old system.
Does anyone have an idea of how this could be accomplished for specific tables?

N9 cannot "calculate a route" without internet con...

Maps are downloaded on the device and working. In "Drive" an internet connection is required to calculate the desired route. What is that all about?

I am using internal GPS without assisted GPS (so no need for internet) - but app won't calc the route without internet connection - frustrating. Now, I let it access the www at the start of navigation - then disconnect www, and all is well for the rest of the route. I can't see why it needs the www to do the calc - surely the calc algorithm is included in the "Drive" app?? One would think so! It seems to be using a server-based app to calc the route.

IPhone 3gs wont turn back on once it goes into sleep mode!

2 days ago my iPhone 3gs (OS 6.0.1) has gone completely wacko on me and i'm completely frustrated! I have my phone set to have the screen shut off after 5 minutes. Usually, to just reaccess the phone I just simply hit the home button. Now, if I let it go into sleep mode, the phone WILL NOT come back on! I went online and did some research, and it suggested holding the home button and the sleep button for 10 seconds to get it to come back on. It works most times, but sometimes it takes a few tries to get it to come back on, and when it does come back on it takes forever to load up. But the whole thing happens all over again when it goes into sleep mode. My phone is fine as long as I set it to never go into sleep mode, but it is killing my battery. I need to be able to put it into sleep mode as I have to be able to go all day without charging it at my job. PLEASE help...I don't know what's going on with it. I have never done anything to it (jailbreaking, illegal stuff, etc.) and I do all the updates that it asks to do.
Please please help!

ITunes keeps wanting to quit unexpectedly

I'll be in the middle of downloading multiple tv shows
when iTunes suddenly asks if I really want to quit in the middle of a download
When I notice it I'll answer no, but until I do the downloads stall.
If no downloads were going on it would probably have quit without asking.
This is not a crashing situation.
iTunes just acts as if somebody had pressed Command-Q,
which obviously isn't the case.

Updating ipad software stuck

Ipad Software update to IOS 7 stuck. Failed with error code 14. Recover in recovery mode also failed with error code 14. Was able to restore to previous version on another Mac to 6.1.3 successful. Tried the upgarde to IOS 7 again on the orginal Imac and the update hangs in one spot over an hour. Might have downloaded a corrup version of IOS 7. How do I clear that out of Itunes in Mac OS 10.8.5, and restart the entire process with a fresh download of IOS 7 for IPAD mini. By the way, we were able to successfully upgrade to IOS 7 on all of our Iphone 5 without problems, and than this happened when we tried to upgrade our IPAD Mini.

Access Key Problem

My problem is as below:
I want to make some modification to the transaction CO15, This transaction is for Production order confirmation. First we will give the Order number on the first screen. Then we will check for the goods movement. When we press Goods movement button and it takes me to the next detailed screen where I see the order items. I need to make the changes in this screen. As per my requirement I need to disable couple of fields in the table control.
Now, I am going to SAP Service market place and creating the ACCESS KEY with below parameters
Release : 700
PgmID: R3TR Full Object
Type: TRAN (As its transaction: I think this is the problem, We need to use some other combination for this)
Object name: SAPLCOWB
After registering the object, SAP is creating access key but when I put that key to incorporate the changes, it says INVALID ENTRY. I think the problem is the TYPE parameter which I used while creating the access key.
Please let me know what should I put in that field to incorporate the changes?

This is MORE dangerous than changing standard code. With a change, you get the modification assistant and for upgrade you get SPAU, so you can see exactly what has changed. If you clone a transaction, you don't get any fixes any more, there's no record of how the clone was made and how it differs from the original, and you've effectively written your own program to update standard SAP tables, which also means that SAP will not support you if any prolbems would occur.
With cloning you get exactly the same risks as modification without any of the controls or records .
For the OP. You must set the release, program id, type and object exactly as prompted, and ensure that you are registering the key for the correct installation. The key I will get for Release : 700 R3TR FUGR COWB will be different from the one you get as we have different systems.

Email fonts and Bold

Can't find ANYTHING on your site to provide feedback on email. WHY is it that when I highlight text to BOLD it or to CHANGE FONT PT, the cursor jumps to the top of the email? I have to reposition the cursor where the text is.and RETYPE what I want - that's if the cursor stays there - I have to trick it everytime. Why don't all of the functions work on your email service? The cursor jumps allover and, NO, my touchpad is NOT activated. TOO MANY GLITCHES in the email service. IT DOESN'T MEASURE UP TO OTHER PROVIDERS. BIGGEST COMPLAINT? There's no way to provide you feedback on these issue unless I call and who has time to be on hold for 20 minutes? POOR SERVICE, VERIZON.

Sorry to hear that you are having these problems. I have made those text modifications without any problems. If you are having these problems, its going to be browser related. Try using another browser or disabling browser add ons that could be interfering with the websites operation.
