Modify a group of contacts or quick change address

Hi,
Would anyone know a good program or tip on how I can modify a group of peoples work address or home address instead of individually change one at a time.
Also, If I have a contact with key address details and phone numbers and another contact has joined the same company, is there a way to drag over all the details instead of manually typing it all in again?

I'm not sure about the batch editing of cards, so I'll defer to others for that.

You can copy an address card and edit the copy if that suffices? Just select the person in the 'Name' column and press command+c then command+v (i.e. copy/paste)

It's very easy to find soemone because with IOS5 i select the group and I see quickly the name inside

On my PC with the outlook software stay in normal position with group. :-)

HELP - Modify user group by bulk un CUCM 8.6

Hi guys,
I am having problem by update/modify user group on CUCM.
There are already some users within user group with admin privileges. That should be changed, so I created a group with some privileges and then I tried to change the usergroup by bulk. but the bulk ADDS the usergroup to the correct and maintain both.
After that I decided to have 2 rows, for the same user, one for the group with empty space (to delete it), and another with the new usergroup. But CUCM does not either do that. it sills maintain the user group..
Does anyone has successfully changed the user group by bulk?
I will appreciate your advices.

need to tell my contacts that my email address is changing. How do I do this without sending an individual message to each contact? But also would like to avoid sending a list of all my contacts to everyone else?

Open a Write window
Turn on the Contact Sidebar if not already on. Press F9 to turn on
Select a group of contacts and use the Add to BCC button at the bottom of the sidebar
BCC = Blind Carbon Copy = does not reveal email addresses in the received email
You may have to do this in small groups depending on if your provider limits how big of group mail you can send and how big your address book is.
You use standard computer selection methods to select more than one contact.
control+a = select all
click one contact to select it, move down several contacts and hold the control key while clicking a second contact = select both contacts clicked on and all in between
hold the control key while randomly clicking contacts = select any contact clicked on
hold the control key while clicking a selected contact = deselect that contact

I am having an issue with a system, which is throwing a really odd error message. When the user tries to modify the AD group, they receive the following error message:
“You do not have permission to modify the group”, which is then followed by what appears to be Chinese or Japanese characters. In addition, the characters
randomly change, which makes me believe the characters are ASCII values or equivalent, not specific values for any coherent words provided by installed language packages.
Has anyone seen this issue before? If so can you offer any advice?

This issue can be caused due to the permissions under Security tab are modified incorrectly.
Please use delete control wizard to reassign the permissions or correct the permissions under Security tab manually.

Group in contacts won't fill in on iPad

I have this group of people I write to all the time. I have them together in my contacts so when I enter the code word all of their names get entered into the mail address on my iMac. I show that group in contacts on my iPad but the names don't get filled in on my iPad when I enter the code word. What do I have to do? I have IOS 7.

I have the solution for this, so please full attention here to get it correctly. I found the steps from the iOS 6 manual.
Link a contact: Edit a contact, tap Edit, then tap and choose the contact entry to link to.
Linked contacts aren’t merged. If you change or add information in a unified contact, the
changes are copied to each source account where that information already exists.
If you link contacts with different first or last names, the names on the individual cards won’t
change, but only one name appears on the unified card. To choose which name appears when
you view the unified card, tap the linked card with the name you prefer, then tap Use This Name
For Unified Card.
View contact information from a source account: Tap one of the source accounts.
Unlink a contact: Tap Edit, tap , then tap Unlink
First Step: Edit contacts
Second Step: Scroll down & Click + symbol
Third Step: Click linked contacts (choose your contact that you want to be linked if the contact you are in)
Fourth Step: Click done
Fifth Step: Go to LINKED CONTACTS
Sixth Step: Choose your prefer name ex. Facebook: Taylor Rocker
                                                                    iCould: Taylor Swift
Seven Step: EXAMPLE: I choose iCould to be my prefer name.
                     Click on iCould: Taylor Swift
                    There will be a new button appear which is "Use This Name For Unified Card"
                     FYI: IF FACEBOOK NAME AND ICOULD NAME ARE THE SAME OR A BIT DIFFERENT, YOU CANNOT CHOOSE WHICH NAME YOU WANT TO BE APPEAR.

I am trying to modify the value of the field "Job Code" through API I am getting the following error.(OIM11gr2). I do not get this error when updating the other fields. There is a field by the name USR_JOB_CODE in the database. When I poked around I found that there is no Job Code field in the User Form. Any ideas?

DPM Console hangs when adding servers by Modify Protection Group

Hi Guys,
I hope you can help
I've created several protection groups and need to add a couple more servers to each, but I'm having issues where the DPM console hangs. This is what I'm doing:
Under Protection:
Right Click the Protection Group and select: Modify protection group...
Under "Select Group Members" - expand the server and select it's volume or SQL DB, etc and click Next
Under "Select Data Protection Method", I click Next
Now the MMC stops working. There are no error messages, no unresponsive notifications, it just doesn't do anything.
I can't click Back, Next, Cancel, Help or change any of the other options on this page.
I left it once and went to bed, when I came back 12 hours later, nothing had changed.
I have to open task manager and force close the MMC and reopen but I'm unable to add any additional servers. I can create new Protection Groups but would rather avoid this.
For reference
OS: Server 2012 R2 64bit
DPM: 2012 R2 UR4
The issue occurs using local console over RDP or via the client console on Windows 7
Does anyone have an idea how I can get around this issue?

After further playing - It's not isolated to adding servers. I actually can't continue past the "Select Data Protection Method" page even if I don't change anything in terms of the selection lists.
Anyone else having issues or know what the problem is?

Is there any way to change the feed in itunes? The only feed I have now is http://feeds.feedburner.com/CasaEgyptStation
I tried to restore the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast but feedburner refused.
I know that I missed things up but I still have hope in working things out.

How Smart Groups in Contacts transfer to the iCloud

I have Smart Groups in Contacts on my Mac. When I try to send emails from my iPad, it will recognize that certain people belong to a group, but it won't recognize the group name as a valid email address. How do I fix this?

Basically, use Smart Groups on your Mac to create dynamic subsets of your contacts. Copy all of the contacts in that group (command-A) to a [regular / static / dumb] group. You can rename that group to whatever you want (including the same name as the smart group). A bit of a pain, but if the contacts in your smart group don't change that much, you shouldn't have to update your [regular / statis/ dumb] group very often... such as for my "family" group.
Also, you can then "prune" the [regular / static / dumb] group of contacts that your smart group rules included, but shouldn't be in the group, when you update it. I do this monthly for my "travel" group.

Apparently when I send to a Group of Contacts they can all see every email address and this is not acceptable how do I avoid that

I need to send to a group of about 50 parents. Their addresses are held in a Group of Contacts. I highlight the group name to distribute a message to all of them and what I am being told is that they can then all see every email address. This is not acceptable as many do not want their email address being made public in this way. Surely this should not happen or at least there should be a way to avoid it.

I showed you the basic method of sending a group as Bcc - which is what you initially asked for.
As you now specify that not only do you want to know how to use Bcc but every email needs to be personalised - not just distributing a message to all of them, then I would agree with Matt and advise you use Mail Merge. This creates separate emails - not a bulk email to several recipients, so using a TO field will only send to that person - other people will not see other email addresses.

I would suggest you use 'Send Later' option . this will put all the emails in your Outbox, but it does allow you to check the email is correct - or do spot checks. Then you can choose to send them all in one go.
Right click on 'Outbox' folder and select 'Send unsent messages'.

I discovered this problem this morning after upgarding to Mavericks.
I've found an easy answer: Apple have changed the way it confirms the addition of Groups it seems.
Type the name of the group in the Cc: or Bcc: field, hit the Space bar, then hit Enter. Vavoom!!

I'm a recent userr of Iphone ans I'm really surprising by this limitation !! For a mobile connected all time, it's absolutly crazy that we can't create a group of contact !! Professionnal user, I will not use longer this phone if I cannot use a group system ! It's absolutly necessary for sent mass email or mass SMS !! No transmission of VCard by bluetooth, it's the same !!!
If you integrate quickly the group gestion, you can alson let user make playlist "on the go" directly from I PHone !!! It's so bad to connect necessary to I-tunes (one of the wortst software i've seen since a long time). These likeness will let me go back to Nokia, because I need a phone, not a toy !!

If you consider iTunes the worst software you have seen in a long time (a funny statement and how ironic coming from a Windows user), since iTunes is an important part of using an iPhone, you should sell your iPhone and go back to a Nokia.
