Modify default font of iweb template
Hi there,
I'm using the dark room template for my website, but i'd like to change the default font of the blog (Futura) to Lucida Grande.
It was very easy to modify fonts for the new blog entries but any possibility to modify the dark room "blog" template to have lucida grande as default.
Thanks for your help.

I think it's still worth trying to figure out why the font disappeared in the first place. I've seen several posts on missing fonts but no one has yet to determine why they go missing. (at least, not in the threads I've read

I'm new to iWeb but am not new to Apple's. I've been experimenting with the Doodle template and whenever I launch iWeb an error message comes down saying that there is a Missing Font which is Handwriting-Dakota. The only option it gives me to resolve this is to find this font and put it in the font folder. My questions are these:
1. Where can I go to download and replace this font because apparently I've deleted it or something?
OR 2. Where do I need to get to inside iWeb to maybe replace the default font for that template?
Please help! I'm driving myself nuts.I think it's still worth trying to figure out why the font disappeared in the first place. I've seen several posts on missing fonts but no one has yet to determine why they go missing. (at least, not in the threads I've read

Modifying Default Report Templates
Hi there,
APEX v3.0.1.008
I have created an application using Theme 12.Blue and am evaluating the different templates that are available out-of-the-box. The Default: Look 2 template best meets my needs in terms of layout but unfortunately has Sand colouring so I'd like to be able to customise this to change the Sand colours to Blue.
When I navigate to Shared Components -> Templates -> Report I do not get the opportunity to Copy or Modify this Template. Can someone please explain why is this the case and any workarounds to be able to modify this Report Template?
Many thanks,
Gary.Hey Alistair,
I'm not sure how your solution solves the problem. When I go to Themes, click on my theme and look at the template for that theme, I see a bunch of different items for each type, like button, region, etc. Most of my pages simply say look at the defaults in the template and I want to change those defaults. On the template page I see some are checked as the default and I'd like to change to a different one if possible.
Thanks again,

Newbie here - is there a way to set the default font for a whole document so that when you open the paragraph designer it has your chosen font in the drop-down instead of Times New Roman? My company uses only Arial and it's annoying to have to change the Times New Roman each time I'm designing a new template.

Thanks in advance
Search Help > Help Topics 'custom document template' without quotes for information on changing the default template. Whatever paragraph format is applied at the starting insertion point position is the one that appears in new documents.

Can iWeb templates be modified?
I last used iWeb to set up a travelogue in 2006. I have 3.0.4 ('09, I think).
I may be remembering why I didn't use a template before--because I wanted something I couldn't get with the templates.
Am I correct that I can't change a background or text color, or choose to center text which is flush left on an iWeb template?
KarenJeff, you're a prince. I've printed out your last posts & dragged & dropped the 2 samples to my desktop, from which I can then use them I was able to do the web browser background instructions. It worked! Cool.
I'm sure this will turn out to be embarrassingly self-evident, but how did you 'copy the page background image and paste it into preview'? It has no 'handles' allowing it to be selected. Nor could I locate 'Preview'.
Now trying the paper maneuver you explained, I'm a bit stuck. What do I select for 'Page Background? I now have removed the Formal Theme text boxes, have changed footer pixels to '0', and have a horizontal rectangle of the ivory paper there. How do I make it disappear so I can then replace it with the size-able box as you describe?
By the way, I noticed right off in your video was how you changed the width of the page immediately. How did you choose 900--and I forget the vertical pixels you chose but will check again. I hate how small the page content size is. Is there a 'standard' size these days for website width & height?
Again, thanks.

Does and one know if you can change the navigation menu at the top of the iWeb template pages?
Does and one know if you can change the navigation menu at the top of the iWeb template pages? I need to make the background a little wider.
It depends on which template you use.
You can also hide the default navigation and build your own which allows more freedom of design and is better for search engine optimization...

How do you change the default font in Outlook 2013?
I am trying to set the default font in Outlook 2013 as per the customer's request and am having no success.
First I create a NormalEmail.dotm file and added it to the Office Customization Tool, created an msp and added it to my package. After installing Office 2013 I check and the NormalEmail.dotm
is on the machine in %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates folder waiting to be loaded. When launching Outlook 2013 on first run it renames my NormalEmail.dotm to NormalEmail15Pre.dotm. I created the file in Word 2013 so it's not a 2010 version and it (NormalEmail15Pre.dotm)
open cleanly in Word 2013 (it does not open in compatibility mode). If I close Outlook and rename NormalEmail15Pre.dotm back to NormalEmail.dotm Outlook opens and uses my template without any issue. This is not a solution as I have 1000's of deployments
and can't do this manually. One other thing, I did have this same problem with the default font in Word 2013 but by implementing a registry setting (HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Word\Options\MigrateNotmalOnFirstBoot = 1) it used my Normal.dotm
template on first run, if such a setting exists for Outlook I can't find it.
Also I did try to set the font through the mailsettings (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\MailSettings) in the registry as we did with O2007 and O2010 but
those do not load into Outlook when tweaked.
http://blogs.technet.com/b/odsupport/archive/2009/04/24/how-to-deploy-specific-fonts-in-office-2007.aspx
Thank you for your help.Hi, I found out how you can set it.
You need two registry keys to be set in order to keep the preloaded settings.(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\MailSettings)
These are:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\LanguageResources]
"LangTuneUp"="OfficeCompleted"
"OutlookChangeInstallLanguage"="Yes"
both are String entries. -

How to change default font in Numbers?
Is it possible to somehow change the default font when creating new documents in Numbers from "Helvetica Neue" to just "Helvetica", size 11? Changing the font and saving the document as new template simply does not work since the font in newly created tables in the new document using the new template still falls back to "Helvetica Neue".
Here is an enhanced version.
You may use it with the three components of iWorks.
It is also available for free on my iDisk:

I cannot find how to change the default font in the new Pages. It does not appear in the Help area when I search for it. I am never sing Helvetica for my standard documents and cannot seem to change it. What am I missing? And why does Pages help not have an easy answer?
danYou open a blank template and change the font to you liking. Remember to also get all the styles changed with new font. Then Save As Template. Now you have a template with the font you like.

[CS2/CS3 JS] How to set Default Font for multiple documents
Hello,
How do I set the default font for any new text frames I create.
I have several thousand InDesign templates in which the default font is set to a font that is no longer licenced and therefore requires changing.
I already have a script which will open each template and change the first insertion point of any (empty) text frame to a new font but any new text frames created in these templates still want to use the unlicensed font.
Thanks for any assistance.
Simon Kempfor existing documents:
app.activeDocument.textDefaults.appliedFont = myDoc.fonts.itemByName ('Arial\tBold');
for newly created ones:
app.textDefaults.appliedFont = myDoc.fonts.itemByName ('Arial\tBold'); -
How do you set default fonts and default text box sizes on bound form fields?
I am using an existing PDF as a template to build my form in designer.
I am dragging my objects from the schema window to the form and when I drop it on the form it is way too big - so for every field I do this with I am left to resize and reset the font to every bound object i drop on the page!
Is there a way to set the default font and the default dimensions of the bound text boxes I am droping on the PDF form page?
Thanks to anyone who can help!iWork '09 DVD set (containing Pages '09 v4.0, Numbers '09 v2.0, and Keynote '09 v5.0) is available from Amazon for USD $20. Apple no longer provides retail store, or OS X App Store downloads. You will need to apply the Apple iWork 9.3 updater afterwards to bring these applications to their n.3 (e.g. Pages '09 v4.3) last versions. You will have an /Applications/iWork '09 folder afterwards.
I would also launch /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utilities, select your boot drive, and verify/repair permissions — just to be on the safe side for the newly added iWork '09 applicaitons. -
Hiya!
I'm making a flyer in inDesign and i want to set a default font to run throughout the document whenever i create a text box. I also want the font size to be set at 10pt all the time. Does anyone know how to do this?
Also - i have a template for the flyer which includes a border and table.... i want to be able to open this as a template for each flyer, which i can then fill in with information. Is this possible?
Any pointers would be super appreciated.
thanksJust deselect any item in the document you are working on and set your font and other variables in the font window/bar. Thats all. If you wish to set a standard font for all new document, than close all documents and set the things. This works for almost everything.

Default font, size and color for email
I would dearly enjoy having the same font, of my choice, appear on each e-mail that I type, without having to reset each time. Specifically, Times Roman, Bold Italic, 20, Blue. When I set this for any one outgoing mail, it is gone the next time, and often even before I begin to type. Given the astounding capabilities of OS X, I would think that the mail program could be tweaked to achieve this, but my ProCare Creative at the local Apple Store says, "Not possible".
Can anyone offer me hope?I'll cross fingers that Leopard will allow
user to set a chosen default font for e-mails.
Leopard has lots of templates:
http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/features/mail.html
I think "that other computer" allows it.
Nothing to do with the "computer." Different apps have different features. Here's one list of other mail apps for Mac:
