Modify/include parameter to contact header in 200 OK response

Hi ALL,
We are using WLSS 2.2.0.
In 200 OK response to INVITE request, need to include a parameter "isfocus" to 200 OK response's CONTACT header.
While trying to change/include parameter, WLSS 2.2.0 throws an exception that "its a system header value, cant change".
Please provide your valuable suggestion on this.

We do allow adding parameters to the contact header now.
You would be able to do that in wlss3.0 or get a patch from support for wlss22.

Is there a way of including a parameter that is passed in in the report ?Yes you can create a new calculation and in it you can either select from the available parameters or use the parameter name.
For example if you have a parameter called "P_DATE" you should create a calculation as followed:
:P_DATE
This will create a new column with the parameter data.
If you want to create a calculation using the parameter you should create the calculation and in it use the " : " before the parameter name.
for example to calc the number of days past since the parameter value:
trunc(SYSDATE) - trnuc(:P_DATE)

We are using OCCAS Web Logic server to deploy our application. The content header information has fields wlsscid & sipappsessionid which are coming as default. Want to understand more how & when these fields are getting populated and their significance. Please find the message snippet below

If I set the sip parameter “use-header-form” i.e “Default Form for Header Insertion” with option “compact” will it reduce the size of the header?
Could anyone provide some information on removal of above fields (wlsscid & sipappsessionid) to overcome some sizelimitations which I am facing when sending this request to other applications and some information regarding these parameters.

Here is an explanation of these parameters:
The wlsscid identifies the cluster ID of the cluster that originated the SIP message during a software upgrade. The sideways forwarding mechanism uses this attribute to ensure that messages are delivered to a compatible cluster.
sipappsessionid is the id of the sip application session; used with encodeURI and some other mechanisms

Regarding restricting size of headers:
RFC 3261 does not have any restriction on the size of any header in any SIP message. Other implementations having restrictions are not adhering to the RFC, imho.
Having said that, to reduce the size of header you could use the compact config option, however that will only compact the header name ie, From: will f:
You will get some saving but that wont be significant.

The Mac and iPhone sync with iTunes though the charge cable that is included with the iPhone. Through this, you can sync your calendars and contacts.
Bluetooth is an impractical sync scheme as the time it would take to say transfer your song catalog could be longer than your phone contract. I suppose it is entirely possible to implement with hacks and jailbreaking, but I am fairly sure it is beyond the rules here to discuss such activities.
You may wan tto ask this same question in the iPhone section of the comminitie here. There may be some workarounds for just contacts.

INVITE with display-name="" in Contact header- 400 Bad request from occas

When a UAC sends an INVITE to OCCAS
with the Contact header in the form :
Contact: "" <sip:user@domain>
OCCAS rejects the message with 400 Bad request.
The problem comes from display-name = ""
(proven easily with sipp)
In the 400 response : X-Bad-Request: Illegal header "Contact"
It seems that the string "" as display name should be allowed according to rfc 3261:
display-name = *(token LWS)/ quoted-string
quoted-string = SWS DQUOTE *(qdtext / quoted-pair ) DQUOTE
qdtext = LWS / %x21 / %x23-5B / %x5D-7E/ UTF8-NONASCII
quoted-pair = "\" (%x00-09 / %x0B-0C / %x0E-7F)
Has anyone encountered the problem?

SPA 504 sends Notify Event: Conference without contact header

Hi,
I am using SPA 504G in which i have enabled Notify Conference. SPA registered with broadsoft.
Now when i make conference by hitting conf softkey with one active call & one held call present, SPA 504G sends Notify with Event: Conference but without contact header. Broadsoft rensponce with "400 Contact issue".
When SPA 504g registerd with Freeswitch it responce with "481 Subscription does not exists".
pls suggest what should i do to make conference works in this scenerio?

Just for completeness - I tried to replay such scenario and I discovered that loop doesn't occur when the NOTIFY is rejected by "489 Bad event" response from PBX (it's more appropriate response for unknown events, of course, device should not flood network in any case). And/or "expires=0" in original NOTIFICATION may affect it.

Deleting the iCloud account from your phone only deletes the account and any data you are syncing with the account (that is, any data that is set to On in Settings>iCloud). However, when you delete the account you are prompted about what to do with the iCloud data. If you want to keep it on your phone, be sure to choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Also, be sure to save any photo stream photos that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else before deleting the account. To do this, open the photo stream album, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Deleting the account will not touch any other data on your phone (music, apps, etc.).

          Our application uses JSPs and Servlets. To solve a TCP level problem, we would like to ensure that each response sent from the WebLogic Server includes a content-length header. All the pages are dynamic and therefore we cannot explicitly set the content-length.
          To ensure that WebLogic has the opportunity to set this header, we have increased the response buffer size by adding a <%@ page buffer="nK" %> header to our JSPs and a response.setBufferSize call to our Servlets. The responses still do not contain a content-length header.
          Is there anything else we can do to get WebLogic to set this header?

How do I extend the functionality of the hp34420a driver so I can modify the NPLC (integration time) parameter to a value of 200??

I am trying to configure this meter for DC volt mode and 7.5 digit and NPLC 200 settings with hp34420a 2.0 drivers in LabView 5.1. The drivers appear to limit the configuration to 6.5 digit and NPLC 10 (default) maximums.
An attempt at modifying the strings in the HP34420A Config Measurement.vi with the string "ENS:VOLTC:NPLC 200" caused a timeout failure in the HP34420A Read Meas.vi, which was not recoverable by simply removing the offending sub-string in the first VI.
This program is in the latter stages of development, so a method or technique that will allow the incorporation this configuration of the HP 3
4420A, and that will extend the default timeouts in HP34420A Read Meas.vi so that readings can be obtained in the program under this configuration, is sorely needed.

The driver that you describe in your question must be one of our Legacy drivers, and unfortunately we do not have those available any longer. I would recommend downloading the updated IVI driver for the HP34420A from our Developer Zone site at

Just do a search for 34420A and you will bring up the link to the download. You will need our IVI Engine 1.5 and VISA 2.0.1, which you will find links to there as well. The IVI driver should allow you to make the adjustments to the NPLC and DC volt mode.

You will have to modify the screen via SE51 (program SAPMF05A, screen 100). Ask to your ABAP team to help you, though such a modification should be carefully considered.
By the way, is it a user-defined field or field that should be there and is just missing? If the last is true, it could be a bug and solved by relevant OSS correction.

the FD_SET macro generates an error if a value larger than 1024 is passed from in the first argument. i need to increase its value in order for me to wait for more than 1024 socket descriptors on select function. how can i increase or modify its value? thanks in advance...

AFAIK, the only way to change the FD_SETSIZE value is by building your own version of the libc.a and linking it statically to your executable. Not good at all IMHO.
The sources of Solaris 8 contain the implementation of select(3C) with both standard and 'large' (64K) FD_SETSIZE.
AFAIK, 64-bit version of the libc.so contains the 64K-descriptors version of the select(3C), so you may consider building your application with -xarch=v9 flag to get 64-bit application...
As for poll(2) - there is a manual page (man -s 2 poll) and some notes in the Answerbook. poll(2) is the actual system call that is used by select(3C), which is an interface function, so there is no functional difference between these two.
There is a potential problem with portability of your code if you are using poll(), but it looks like you have no choice... sorry about it...
