Modify not allows to Edit file in Sequencer

Hi,
I am trying to edit a file in Sequencer (5.0 sp2) that can be opened with Notepad after local installation.
When right click on file there are : Add Delete Modify.
When click Modify it provides the box for a path. I guess Modify means Replace...
Do I am missing something?

Can I change/replace the file in c:\Program Files\Program_NAME after installation is done in sequencer and before clicking
I am finished installing.
I want to be sure that it will take effect in the package. I think Yes.
I prefer to have the file replaced before Running the app for first feature block...
And it will be more appropriate than replacing the file in sequencer before saving.
Please confirm that I can replace file/files before clicking I am finished installing.

IPhoto is not allowing the edited versions to be exported.

Apparently, there is a long-standing issue with iPhoto not keeping the edits once photos are exported. I usually don't test my exports to see if the edited version was exported correctly. I just assume Apple products are working as they should. But I tested today and discovered what so many of you have discovered - iPhoto is not allowing the edited versions to be exported. I can't see that Apple has addressed this. What is going on here? Side Note: I am also frustrated that Apple took iDVD out of their line-up of available preloaded software. Getting more disappointed with Apple all the time.
Has someone figured out how to easily get around this obvious flaw?
Could it have something to do with the preference of importing the photos into the iPhoto Library. Should I uncheck this in the preferences menu? I really only want to use iPhoto for quick renaming of files and simple editing purposes and then export them to my own method of organizing and back-up. I use Photoshop for more extensive editing. Would really like to continue using a simple method, but so far, this simple method is more work than is necessary for Apple's software. Come on guys!!!!!

1 - there is NO " long-standing issue with iPhoto not keeping the edits once photos are exported." If you are doing things correctly it is trivial to export edited versions (or originals if you prefer)
2 - it is strongly recommended that you do not uncheck the preference to copy imported items to the iPhoto library - unchecking this preference makes operation much more difficult and makes upgrading hardware or moving to a new system almost impossible
3 - you are doing something wrong - since you do not tell us what you are doing - or even what version of iPhoto you have - it is impossible to u hfigure out what you are doing wrong
exactly how are you exporting photos? Exactly how are you using PhotoShop for editing?
The proper way to eidt using PS is to set PS as the external editor, edit in PS and save (not save as) to return the edited version correctly to iPhoto? The best way to export is to select the photo(s) in iPhoto and export (file menu ==> export) - the default is you get the current (edited) version

Hi All,
I'm trying to use Performance Point 2010 in Sharepoint 2010...
I have start the application in centrel admin
I have created a site collection based on the Bisuness Intelligence Center template
I can surf the new Site Collection but when I try to open the "Start using PerformancePoint Services" link I get the following error:
"An error occurred during the processing of /PerformancePoint/Pages/ppssample.aspx. Code blocks are not allowed in this file."
is there any way to fix it???
is there any good source to understand and deploy Performance Point 2010??

ITune does not allow to change file names

greetings bros' since a couple days ago I notice that my iT does not allow me to edit the files and sometimes neither recognize new files or folders.
Any clue why this??

Something else that may come in handy is this wonderful program and it is free, and no I don't own the company. It takes a bit of time to learn it, but worth the effort. You can edit tags for tracks one by one, or look them up in several databases, including Amazon and discogs, etc. I really like to pre-clean my tags before adding the files to my library since they often get scattered about, and depending on the source, may not even have track titles, only file names.

ok thank for reply.
i can modify now my code but when i have created the track i have given my development server details under runtime. But i chaned that once QA1 by mistake and later relized then again reverted back to development.
so in this case do i need to import/check-in all software component again in my track?
Now i am having the original system details.(that i gave at the time of track creation and import ESS).

ScatterGraph does not allow manually editing axis range at runtime

I'm using both ScatterGraph and WaveFormGraph controls in a Winforms VS2010 application. I have the axis interaction mode set to EditRange. The WaveFormGraph control allows editing the axis range by clicking on the end labels for the axis and changing them. The ScatterGraph control does not even though the documentation that I have read indicates it should. The axis mode does not seem to be the issue as I have changed between Fixed and AutoScaleLoose (which is not the selection to have while displaying changing data if you want your manually-entered range to be maintained). I tried a new project with a ScatterGraph control with default settings and verified that it does not allow you to edit the axis range. Is there a way to change settings to allow you to manually edit a ScatterGraph range in this way at runtime?

Hi Lybro,
Have you enabled the "EditRange" InteractionMode of the scatter graph object? There are two places that the interaction mode is set, one for the axis and one for the scatter graph, both need to be enabled for the editing to work. I just tested this with Measurement Studio 2013 and it is working. Let me know if this helps.

Server Behaviours not allowed in .php file?

I've only recently made the jump from 'ugh, I'm a designer I don't need to know' to 'fine, this coding lark seems to be important' so this may be an exceptionally dim question. Apologies in advance if I've overlooked something obvious
I am trying to build a very basic dynamic website, losely based on the steps outlined by David Power here http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/first_dynamic_site_pt1.html. My own design but otherwise I'm not straying from the instructions given.
No problems developing the back end but when I came to displaying content from the database on the news page dreamweaver will not allow server behaviours to be selected (the little "+" button is greyed out in server behaviours and bindings but not for databases, if that's relevant). I haven't changed any settings or permissions and despite spending several hours poking around I don't really understand the problem enough to recognise the solution if I find it.
I am using Dreamweaver CS4 on Windows Vista
Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved.

So you have the back end built, I assume you mean the insert, edit and delete forms for the data?
Now you are trying to display that data on a front end page? Can you explain the steps you are taking?
A very common problem for that would be not having a server type specified in your site definitions or possibly have Dreamweaver in 'Live View' mode.

Private modifier not allowed within Interface

Can someone explain to me the logic behind not being able to declare a method's modifier as "private" when defining my Interface? When I do so the compiler generates the following error:
"modifer private not allowed here at line 23, column 16"
I change it back to public and its fine. One would think that the compiler would allow one to declare a method private within an Interface so long as the Implementation matches? Thanks in advanced.

The idea behind interfaces is to provide information to the outside world about a class that implements the interface. Specifically, it lets the outside world know about certain methods that can be called on instances of that class. That way, a class can use instances of any class that implements a given interface rather than commiting itself to one specific implementation only.
Since the outside world cannot see private methods, it doesn't make sense for interfaces to prescribe private methods in the first place. In fact, how a class deals with implementing a method is none of the interface's business...

Flash CS4 does not allow importing .tif files

Hello, anyone know why Flash CS4 does not allow import .tif a few days to date. I worked very well and now he tells me something of a Swift 3D importer, but have not installed or that or any other programs lately, I also have QuickTime.
The truth is very strange that no permits, hopefully someone knows of that is due. Need help, please.

That's exactly what I'm doing (since using 1 Graphic Symbol instead of 2). In my current Flash work I have a bunch of Classic Tweens and those all worked. But when I try a Graphic Symbol that's a line of text, then it suddenly doesn't work (the timeline does change color with an arrow, but the text stays the same size with the exception of the second keyframe where it promptly turns into what's in that one). I even tried a random Classic Tween just now making a rectangle grow to make absolutely sure I wasn't doing something wrong, and that one worked immediately no problem.
And never mind that. Now it does work. I suppose I indeed did something wrong. Thank you very much for the help!
Say, one small question: does Adobe Flash have a function to properly set video clips after each other in one big video clip? Or do you have to manually count the frames and add the video clips at the proper frame yourself?

Firefox 31.6.0 ESR version not allowing upload of files (404 error)

I am using Firefox ESR version for my organization. I am not able to upload files to a web based COTS product. I had no issues in ESR v 24.1.1. Is there a setting that I can use or something I'm missing? I have seen that this was an issue in the home use version, but not sure if it will be fixed in the ESR version.

So, in same environment on another machine (same GPOs applied) I have 24.1.1 ESR. No issues with uploading files.
A bit more (novice) explanation: To configure my security tools that use a web gui, I need to upload config files. When I click "upload" in any given tool, I get the 404 error. If I go to the 24.1.1 version, I get the gui to browse for the file and upload it.

What software are you using? You should be able to create a PDF from MP Navigator.

Access not allowed on xsl files with 10.3.3

Under the Runtime Configuration Properties I have set the "disable external references" to false but I am still getting an "XML-21028: (Fatal Error) Access not allowed" when the report tries to reference a stylesheet placed in a directory under the Apache htdocs directory (The <DocumentRoot> and <Directory> have been set correctly as far as I can tell).

The app server needed to be shutdown and restarted in order for the change to this property to be recognized. However, now I have a problem with the subtemplates.xsl with a variable which is not defined: _XDONFSEPARATORS. I can find not one reference to this property on the oracle site.

Repeating event not allowing to edit single event

I have a repeating event set for every week, but for one of the weeks I wanted to change to calendar and time of the particular event. Normally, I get a box that asks if I would like to save for this event only or for all following events. I have not been getting this box and it is editing all of the events in the series. It was working fine this morning :/ I've restarted my phone already.

I tried getting rid of duplicates in FontBook. I tried deleteing the iCal.plist file and restarting my mac. Nothing works. I can not edit any entry in any way except to drag it to a new place. I also can't open iCal Preferences. I have iCal 4.0.1 - is that the current version?

Aperture 2 All Projects will not allow viewing individual files

In the Library/All Projects selection are 4 projects, 3 allow me to click on any image and view it full screen. The 4th will not. Clicking on a picture won't open it, nor can I copy any files from it. How can I fix this? All of my pictures are stored here, over 10,000. And once there was a smart folder called ALL PICTURES in the LIBRARY but it has vanished, How can I put it back?

I tend to limit the size of each project to around 1,000 images as I notice a performance decrease thereafter. With 10,000 in one project you may have a decent slowdown.
Can you create a new project and drag pictures from project 4 into it?
If so divide up your huge project into smaller chunks.
Have you tried to rebuild the library/consistency check (hold alt as you start up aperture and run the checks in order)?
To replace the smart album, click on library, new - smart album - then choose, for example, rating is greater than 'unrated'. Then call it unrated or better photos. Again I tend to steer away from this mega folders due to the resultant slowdown.

Synchronized modifier not allowed in interface

My understanding of an interface is that it defines a contract. The synchronized modifier can be an important part of the contract. So why doesn't Java allow for declaring some methods of an interface to be synchronized?
I just came across this again, let me try to illustrate:

If I forget to redefine the method in an extension of someXBase, then I'm in trouble. And it will be easy to forget when there are many methods like this.

Thread safety however can be an important part of the contract, but the relevant part of the contract to specify that is in public documentation.
This class still has a problem: I provided an empty
body, while actually I did want to keep that method
abstract. I fail to see why you have done this - anybody can override the method anyway and not declare it synchronized. If you want to make sure somebody overrides the method, then it can help to throw an exception by default (the most appropriate in such a case would be an UnsupportedOperationException),
If you want client code to ensure thread safety, then document your code properly - If you provide an interface whose JavaDoc says "All methods are thread safe" or something similar, then anybody implementing the interface so that it is not thread safe has violated that contract. This is similar to providing documentation that says the draw method for a Shape, that takes a Canvas as a parameter, should draw the Shape on the Canvas - you have no way of forcing somebody to do that, so you rely on them conforming to the interface's contract (usually just its JavaDoc is enough).
If you were to force client code to synchronize a particular method, then you would be dictating the implementation. You need to bear in mind somebody may be able to write the code so that it is thread safe without declaring a particular method synchronized (in fact, this will always be the case), and in that situation you may be causing undue contention (and thus slowing down execution) by forcing the method to be synchronized; You might also make it difficult to avoid deadlock if the implementor wants to synchronize on different objects.
